Waching daily Feb 14 2019

hello everyone and it's a new day in st. Petersburg it's currently 7 o'clock and

it's getting light so basically around 10:30 I assume it will be light in

Petersburg and today we're going to explore the hermitage museum which will

open at 10:30. So we have half an hour here next to next to the museum to enjoy

the beauty of st. Petersburg and it's only -4 today. Which means today I

should be fine with shooting videos and well at least the snow here makes it

quite beautiful as well.

it's 10:20 in the morning. We are queuing to get some tickets

10 minutes before the museum should open and there are two sides where you can enter

the museum one side from this side the other side is exactly queue with the same length

It seems okay in winter we saw queues in summer. Which even lasts all the way outside

the square where we came from so I think it's a good time to come here at this

winter time because it's not that busy.

Just a quick update when we are taking a rest here. The Hermitage is big.

So we'll spend our whole day here with exploring. So when we're outside to find

a peaceful place to have some dinner then I will give you an update about

everything more you need to know when you're here in the Hermitage

We found a place to sit down in a Russian restaurant. I will put the name down

here somewhere because if I start to pronounce Russian names here like it

ends up with Koosh Koosh Kafka which is probably completely wrong and the food

was was very good again so far we don't really have any bad Russian cuisine but

in terms of the Heritage Museum if you have the time spend their whole day

because it's very very big. You don't really need an audio tour if you're if

you read a little bit in advance about the highlights in the museum then I

think you don't need an audio or you really need to be into paintings because

that's the main thing where you will miss if you don't have an audio tour.

The entrance fee is 700 Rubels per person and you're not allowed to take any bags

inside or coats or drinks you need to leave everything in the cloakroom.

So they basically force you to eat in the cafe which is kind of fancy cafe with

the wireless charging pads but they don't have that much stories of where

you can eat you can only eat a sandwich and a tart and that's basically

basically it. They have a little bit of pastry as well but don't expect anything

in terms of hot food it could be the case that if you come in the afternoon

you're maybe able to sneak your bag inside and have your own stuff inside

because later on during the day we saw more people walking with with their own

bag. But that's it for the Hermitage Museum we

are going to enjoy the rest of our evening here in Russia and tomorrow will

be a new day with new adventures and as always hit that like button smash the

subscribe button and hopefully see you in the next video.

What is Bioindividuality and How to Make it Work for You - Duration: 4:09.

Jennifer: Do you ever wonder what the perfect diet is for you?

In today's video, I'm going to show you how to figure it out.

For the easiest to understand, helpful advice on everything health and mindset related,

please subscribe to my channel, and hit the bell to be notified when I post a new video

every Thursday.

Jennifer: Probably the question I get asked the most is, "Jenn, what should I eat?

I keep hearing about all these people doing ketogenic or paleo or vegan, and I get so

confused."

So today, we're going to figure out exactly what the best diet is for you, and how to

figure that out.

When I became a holistic health coach, there was a term that I had never heard before,

and that term was bio-individuality.

It makes so much sense when you think about it.

We are all unique.

Everybody is different, and bio-individuality really means that figuring out what works

best for you, for your genetics, for your lifestyle, and that includes how you eat.

Jennifer: The best way to figure out what is right for you, what foods you should be

eating, is basically to keep track.

What I ask all of my one-on-one health coaching clients to do is to keep a food and mood journal.

I've included in the link below the download that we use, and it's a piece of paper where

you can write what you eat and then how you feel.

That is the best frame of reference to start looking at patterns to see what foods make

you feel good, and what foods make you feel bad.

It's also good to look at your mood.

If you're sad, what foods are you drawn to?

Or could it be, what foods are you eating that are causing you to feel maybe not so

good?

Jennifer: Finally, even though we are all unique and we are all different, there are

a few universal truths.

Highly processed, high sugar foods, the things that you're going to find in the middle of

the grocery store on the shelves with huge labels, most time than not are not going to

make you feel the best.

Whenever I like to eat, I like to choose whole foods; thing that you'd find in nature.

Lots of leafy green, lots of healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds.

Good, healthy protein sources.

Lots of beans, legumes.

Obviously lots of fruits and vegetables.

If you stay on the periphery of the grocery store, that's usually going to be your best

bet.

Jennifer: And I find that no matter what kind of eating plan you're following, and like

I said, I don't subscribe to one eating philosophy.

I think it all depends on what season you're in.

I live in Michigan, and so right now we're in the middle of winter.

I'm going to eat a lot of comforting, warm foods, things like soups and stews and things

like that, and I'm probably going to stay away from a ton of fruit and a ton of things

that are lighter like salads and stuff like that.

Jennifer: Now, I'd love to hear back from you.

Is this something that you look at?

Do you look at basically what you're eating and how it makes you feel?

Or is it something that you just kind of shove to the wayside?

I would love to know if you learned something new from this video, and then what your biggest

takeaways were.

If you liked this video, please like it below.

What You Should Know About STDs - Leena Nathan, MD | UCLA Health Newsroom - Duration: 1:40.

We as physicians are seeing a big rise in the number of STDs that we are diagnosing

in our patients.

One reason is social media, and casual online dating.

People have more partners.

It's more comfortable to meet people, have intercourse, and move on to the next person.

We historically think of condom use as important for prevention of pregnancy.

Condoms also prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

Even if you're not at the risk of getting pregnant, say you're in your 50s and 60s,

you should still use condoms so that you don't catch a sexually transmitted infection.

Sexually transmitted diseases are often asymptomatic.

This means it's very important to discuss your sexual activities with your physician

and make sure you get regularly tested.

Everyone should have a frank discussion with their partner about their sexual health.

When you discuss birth control, discuss protection.

If you're comfortable enough to sleep with a person, you should be comfortable enough

to discuss your sexual health.

If you haven't been using condoms or you're concerned about exposure to sexually

transmitted infections, definitely come in and talk to your doctor.

Most sexually transmitted diseases are either treated or curable.

As physicians, we have a lot of patients come in with questions about their sexual health.

It's important to turn to reliable sources for your information, such as your physician

or good medical websites.

And share this information so that everybody can protect themselves and practice safe sex.

You're More Likeable Than You Think! - Duration: 4:56.

[♪ INTRO ]

Conversations with new people can be sort of terrifying.

I mean, they can also be awesome!

There's always a chance you're about to learn something fascinating or add a cool

new friend to your life.

But you are making a first impression.

And at some point, you might be left with a creeping sense of, "Did they actually like me?"

Most of us are willing to believe that other people find us perfectly tolerable.

But it can be hard to tell whether they liked you enough to want to spend time with you again.

Psychologists think that we might be too hard on ourselves, though.

Most of the time, people probably like you better after talking to you than you think they do.

It's called the liking gap.

But if you know it's there… well, maybe you can chill out about first impressions

and just enjoy your time with new people.

Psychologists have been studying meta-accuracy, or your ability to correctly judge others'

feelings about you, for a long time.

But the study that gave the liking gap its name was published in 2018 in the journal

Psychological Science.

It looked at participants' encounters with new people in five different experiments.

Some of the experiments asked undergrads to talk with new people for five minutes or for

as long as they liked.

In others, participants spoke with people they met at a workshop or reported on their

relationships with their roommates over the course of their freshman year of college.

The researchers found that participants consistently underestimated how much their partner liked

them, and assumed they'd enjoyed the conversation more than their partner had, no matter how

long or short the conversation.

Being shy predicted an even bigger liking gap.

And the roommates?

They kept experiencing the liking gap in all the check-ins throughout the academic year,

except for the very last one in May.

While this could suggest you'll eventually figure out that people really do like you,

the gap might have gone away because by then, they discussed how they got along and decided

whether or not they wanted to live together again.

It's worth noting that we're not talking about social anxiety disorder here.

While social anxiety disorder is all about the fear of being negatively judged or rejected

in social situations, it's a much more intense anxiety that affects your day-to-day life

and your ability to spend time with friends and family.

That's probably best treated by a psychiatrist or therapist.

The liking gap is a less extreme, more universal tendency to underestimate how much other people like you.

And it's actually kind of surprising that it exists, because people usually think they're great at stuff.

Studies have repeatedly found a better-than-average effect, where people tend to think they're

better than the average person at things like driving a car.

Even though obviously we can't all be better than average, because, you know, math.

But there are a number of factors that can help explain the liking gap.

One is the situation itself, because conversations can be stressful.

Something as simple as wanting to present yourself well has been shown to change the

way people evaluate their performance.

Conversations are also hard.

Like literally cognitively demanding.

You have to listen while also mentally rehearsing that clever anecdote you're about to tell

and then oh no wait the moment went by it would be weird if you told it now and then

ack, what was a question?

Which means that we often aren't paying attention to the subtle cues other people are giving us.

But even if you are, researchers have suggested that people might not provide enough useful

feedback for you to come to the conclusion that they like you, either out of politeness

or out of a fear of being rejected themselves.

For instance, one 1972 study of nearly 200 undergraduates found that people tend to hold

back both positive and negative evaluations of others, especially when they're not very

close to the person they're making judgments about.

So given that conversations are messy and confusing, we often base our estimates of

how much other people like us on the best set of data we have: our own views of ourselves.

Which can be… misguided.

Psychologists have suggested that you guess what other people are thinking of you by taking

baby steps away from your own point of view until you reach something that seems plausible.

But, of course, we're super biased about what's plausible.

For one thing, you might not be taking into account the fact that people you've never

met tend to assume that you conform to social norms.

They expect you to be kind, because most people are kind to strangers and don't start yelling

at them with no provocation.

This isn't the Sims.

But also, researchers have found that social situations make people focus much more on

their own failings.

Which makes evolutionary sense: it's good to learn from your social mistakes so that

you don't get kicked off the island.

You also have a lot of previous experiences to compare yourself against, so you might

notice that your performance in this conversation is considerably less great than all the other

conversations you've ever had.

That badly delivered punchline sticks out like a sore thumb to you.

In other words: We judge ourselves too harshly, and then assume other people are making judgments similar to ours.

Resulting in… a liking gap.

This isn't something you can just change about your brain overnight.

But just knowing that the liking gap exists can be kind of comforting.

Because the people you meet probably like you more than you think they do, and that's

honestly kind of awesome news.

[NEW METHOD] Scale To $60K/Day With Facebook Ads | Shopify Dropshipping - Duration: 11:15.

let me show you how you can use Facebook ads to scale to 60k per day what's poppin

people it's your boy the Beast of ECOM back with another video dropping nothing

but you already know value bombs so in today's video I'm gonna share with you

guys an advanced Facebook strategy that I've been using to help me personally

scale 2 60K per day now I know a lot of you guys out there struggle with scaling

facebook ads and this has personally been one of the most stable ways that

have been able to scale profitably to five figures per day and I want to share

with you guys today now you may be duplicating ad sets or you may be

raising budgets but this method uses a campaign budget rather than an ad set

budget so it makes sure of course you watch all of the video stay to the end

and most importantly implement and of course if you get some value from this

one you already know what to do make sure you like comment and of course

smash that subscribe button and be sure to of course to hit the notification bow

as well so don't stay up to date with all of my latest content and become a

part of the notification gang finally before I jump into the meat and bones if

you haven't checked out my Maldives vlog my last video thank you to everyone who

has watched that make sure you go and watch it and of course learn nothing but

some crazy drug shots in that as well as nothing but business and life value so

make sure you go and check that video out as well but for now let's quit the

talking let's jump straight into the video and let's start learning right

let's go straight into this video and show you guys how you can scale up to

close to 50k per day using Facebook as in this strategy that I'm gonna show you

how to do it ok so you can see here in the month of November we did over a

million dollars and in 30 days you can see here the month of November within

56k per day 41 K here 40 49 41 42 38 40 43 45 so basically we were averaging

over 40k per day in the month of November I haven't taught of value at

about 100 dollars the products itself was a little bit more expensive than

that and the conversion rate was at 2% now of course you got to expect you

conversion rates in the be a little bit lower when you're selling a product

which is over $100 you know cuz people have to take more time to consider

whether to buy it or not especially when it's interruption

marketing with Facebook so if your conversion rate isn't 2% and

you're selling products that are lower so no a ticket $25 $30 then you're doing

something wrong you should at least be getting a 2% conversion rate on your

store if you sign in lower ticket products this store generally hovers

around on average 3.7 to around about 5% so so yeah so looking at the actual some

of the ad sets you can see here we've got these campaign budget and this is

what these are called they're called CBO's campaign budget optimization

basically what you're doing in short and I'll explain it in a Google Drive

document is you're setting your budget at a campaign level rather than ad set

level and then letting Facebook optimize that campaign budget okay so I've got

one at $400 here one at $1000 one at $2,500 because they scale really stable

you can see here the bro ass is over two which is we milked it quite a bit it was

a lot higher than this we just kind of milked it all the way to the end just to

bank as much as we possibly can and and yet you know very profitable products we

were getting it for pretty much dirt cheap so we were trying to push it close

to the margins quite a bit but yeah fantastic campaign so to show you and

explain about these CBO's let me show you how they work so how to scale with

60 GAD scale to 60 K per a day with CBO's so campaign budget optimization

and you can see here in this diagram basically what happens is a lot of times

people are talking about sitting there their budgets ad set level so you can

see on the left hand side here without campaign bridge optimization what's

happening is you'd set your each ad set would be at a certain budget so you know

people say start tend on it start 10 ad sets at $10 per day so you can see here

all of these are at you know $10 per day ad set 1 I'd set 2 I'd set 3 you can see

here conversion wise what's happening is this ad set here number ones only got

three conversions this one here has only got what's that one two three four five

six conversions and this one's only got two okay but Facebook's gonna spend that

money regardless Facebook's gonna spend that $10 on that ad set regardless in

that day in that 24 hour period however if we start setting our budget

at campaign level what that happens is Facebook has the gets the power and

optimization to spend the money where the conversions are coming from because

you know we know what it's like when you put out a campaign and you've got say

five ad sets only say three of them will work and the rest of the other two may

spend up their daily budget but may completely bomb and what happen is if

you set a campaign budget if you said a campaign budget if you set a campaign

budget what will happen is Facebook will then basically spend that money

accordingly so you can see here 15 conversions you can see here what's

happened is ad set two out of the three is getting the conversion so a facebook

says okay to itself into this algorithm into a system we will start pushing more

spend to that ad set and as I said three won't get that much spend and I said one

won't get that much spend but it will focus on ad set two because that's where

the conversions are coming from which of course can save you money and you can

see here out of you know we're spending thirty dollars a day here but are we

getting ten conversions if we put thirty dollars here at campaign budget level we

can get 15 conversions here of course this is just all for illustration

purposes so I hope that explains CBO's and how to use them now how to actually

toggle this before I actually explain the kind of criteria on what I do let me

just show you the how to actually toggle it so the first thing you want to do of

course is you come here and open up a campaign I'll just set a test campaign

and at campaign level you can see it says budget optimization now if you

click on that what happen is it will give you a daily budget and I'm gonna

show you what I generally set daily budgets anyway but you know you can see

here a daily budget so if we just put in $100 here and you know you can set

lowest cost or of course you can do all of these I generally personally only

have it at lowest cost unless you're doing stuff such as manual bidding as

manual bidding CBO's and all those sorts of things that's a little bit more

advanced however just keeping it at lowest cost

so that's how campaign budget that's our CBO's work like a

and giving you a little bit of theory now let's talk about how you can

actually use them so CBO's generally and my personal experience are only really

used for scaling and you know I rarely use them for testing although as

Facebook has just shown you in that diagram how it would spend X Y Z X Y and

Zed I generally personally when I'm testing

I want to make sure that everything is kind of equal so not give my test into

Facebook and say you know because then I'd set three may still be may still

bringing you know sales but Facebook will just focus on the one that is

bringing you in the cells initially so they may be jumping the gun too early so

I like to only use CBO's when it comes to scaling personally personal

preference other people may disagree with me now so what you want to do of

course is launch your test as too cold interest you know 10 dollars per day 5

access access whatever it may be pick your audience's pick your interests and

launch them test campaign then what's gonna happen over a matter of days

you're gonna find out you're winning access now generally you want to wait at

least kind of seven days with this if it's a winning campaign if it doesn't

make launch if it doesn't go past you know a test phase then this is not it's

not gonna be a winning products you only really want to use it when scale and

remember so you want to identify your winning access then want to identify

your winning ad sets what you then want to do is you want to duplicate your top

5 ad sets into a CBO campaign now the important notification here is each ad

set must always have a unique audience which is what I always do so I'm even if

you are duplicating you only want one of those audiences in your CBO you don't

really want to be doing duplicates inside a CBO now I personally only have

found that 5 ad sets works the best you can do seven and cut down to five I

personally don't do anything less than five ad sets inside of a CBO and

remember each as set must always be a unique audience now you can set your

daily budget personally me no less than $200 to $250 per day Germany that is

what I am working with and in terms of in CBO's and taking these two you know

the next level is um you can increase your budget every two to three days if

profitable okay or what you can do is duplicate the whole CBO it preferred

often both ways both ways work okay so there's no one way do this or one way to

do that both ways of scaling CBO's have personally worked for myself in terms of

duplicating them or into care or in terms of raising the budget so it's not

a case of which one should you do which one works which one doesn't both of them

work the only way you're gonna know personally is by testing but just know

that both of them do both ways do work then of course once you start

introducing your local our audiences into your main campaign so you know

again the product is gonna be a winner and once you start introducing your

local users into your main campaign testing those you're gonna then start to

find look winning look-alike audiences and then what you do is you just repeat

the process identify your winning look-alike audience is and then put five

of those look at our audiences and duplicate them into a CBO campaign then

it is just literally a case of rinse repeat and Bank and that is how you guys

can scale up to close to 660 K per day using Facebook as if you are a drop

shipping so I hope you've got some value from this video and you know I drop

nothing but value bombs so I hope you got some value from this video if you

did make sure you like comment and of course smash that subscribe button and

Expensive Products Worth The Money | Luxury Brands I Love - Duration: 9:53.

What's up, guys? I'm Brian Sacawa, you're watching He Spoke Style, and today we're

talking about six expensive products that are totally worth the money.

[MUSIC]

So just to start off, I want to say that just because something is expensive does not

necessarily mean that it is a high-quality item. There are many things that

are vastly overpriced that are simply not worth the money. However, I tend to

believe that, in most cases, especially when it comes to craftsmanship as well

as things that are meant to last, that you really do get what you pay for.

That's been my experience over time and these next six items I'm going to share

with you definitely stand up to that test. First up is a pair of selvedge

denim jeans. Now when you're talking about selvedge denim, you are typically

talking about a price point somewhere between two to 300 or $350. I have seen

pairs for as low as around $150. J.Crew has a pair listed on their website right

now for $148. And they can go as high as up to around $1000. Now I do not

recommend you spend $1000 on one pair of jeans, but I do think that in the two to

$300 price range that you are going to get an extremely high-quality item. So

over the past six or seven years or so, I have been a fan of A.P.C as well as

RRL. I had a pair of A.P.C New Standards that I wore to death. And my

current RRLs I bought about two years ago and they honestly still look

brand new even though I wear them all the time.

The thing with selvedge denim is that it lasts and it tends to also look better

as it ages. So if two or three hundred dollars seems like a lot to spend on one

pair of jeans, I would say to just consider the economics for a second. So

let's say you spend $210 on a pair of A.P.Cs and that is the only pair

of jeans that you have and that you wear. And then let's say that that pair of

jeans lasts you from three to five years, which is not out of the realm of

possibility for selvedge jeans. Now contrast that with having to buy five

pairs of $40 jeans that you have to replace every year. So if you do the math,

you will definitely see that you come out ahead with a pair of selvedge jeans.

Next up I'm going to say is a category instead of a specific product and

that is what I would call boutique fragrances. Now there's nothing wrong

with brands you can get at a department store. I personally love Ralph Lauren

Polo Green and I would just about put Tom Ford, whose fragrances I also love,

into that sort of easily accessible, you know, I can just run to the mall and pick

up a bottle category. But in terms of boutique fragrances, I'm talking more

about like, I would say, niche brands. So brands like Amouage, Arquiste, Cire Trudon, Creed,

Frederic Malle, Gamine, Nasomatto, Roja, Thameen, just to name a few. When it comes to

details like fragrance, for me, having something very unique is important. I

also try to seek out those fragrances that are, in one way or another,

intriguing. You know, ones that might make people come up and ask you what

fragrance that is that you're wearing. And I have found that fragrances from

these smaller or more boutique brands tend to be the ones that do have those

more interesting qualities to them. From a price perspective we're talking, you

know, anywhere between $150 to $350 or $400. Now, it is very important if you are

going to spend the money on a fragrance that is this expensive that you know for

sure that you are going to like it on your skin. So I would recommend either

going to the brand's boutique or a specialty retailer to get a sample. Or

oftentimes you can go on the brand's website and order a small sample for

like five or 10 dollars, which is much better than dropping three hundred

dollars on a bottle that you find out later that you don't really like. Next is

a custom or made-to-measure suit. In my Ask Me Anything video, there was a little

bit of a dust-up in the comments over how I responded to the question of what

suit would I buy at the $250 price point. If you haven't seen that video, my answer

was that I would not buy a $250 suit. I would keep that money and save up some

more to buy something that was of a higher quality, preferably something

custom or made-to-measure. So if you are buying a $250 suit, you are undoubtedly

getting a fused garment. This is the cheapest and most inferior method of

construction. Sure, you know, for a short period of time it will look okay, but

sooner than you would want, you're going to start seeing some bubbling where the

glue is and the jacket will start to lose its shape. So what you want to buy

in terms of a jacket is a canvassed garment. Now there are canvassed

options off the rack, but unless you are very, very lucky you are going to need

some alterations. Same goes for the pants as well. So if you walk into a Suitsupply

or Brooks Brothers and buy a suit off the rack, if you want it to fit

really, really well you're probably going to be spending about one to two hundred

dollars on top of the cost of the suit for the alterations. So even if you're

paying five to six hundred dollars for a suit, if you add in those alterations

costs, you're really getting into a much, much higher price than you saw on the

price tag. So at that point, I really think you would do much better for

yourself if you took your money to a reputable and well-regarded custom or

made-to-measure program. The benefits are you are getting personal attention. You

are getting measured by a tailor. You are getting a pattern that will be closer to

your actual body shape. And you have control over many more aspects of the

finished product, including lapel style, lapel width, pocket style, buttons, linings,

and so on. Plus, if you are working with a reputable made-to-measure program,

whether that's at a brick-and-mortar location or online, you are going to get

a level of service that you will not find at a department store. Now one thing

to mention is that not all made-to-measure or custom programs are

created equal. It's very important to do your research before you commit to one.

So, but rather than talk about specific programs here, I think that would be a

good discussion topic for down below in the comments. The last thing I will say

is that from a price standpoint, if it looks too good to be true, it definitely

is too good to be true. So buyer beware. Next up is any product made by Frank Clegg.

If you're not familiar with Frank Clegg, Frank Clegg leatherworks is a

family-owned business from Fall River, Massachusetts. They specialize in

extremely high-quality leather goods. Everything is made right there in their

workshop. When you get a Frank Clegg product you are getting something with a

classic design and timeless style. You are getting something that is expertly

crafted with the highest quality materials. And you are getting something

that will last, which is one of the most important things to consider whenever

you are planning to spend a good chunk of change on anything. I personally own

three Frank Clegg items. I have a small leather Dopp kit. A classic zip top

briefcase. And the signature travel duffel. All three of these

have a quality and feel to them that is very, very special. It feels like

something that is worth what you paid for it. And the best thing about quality

leather goods is that they will improve with age. The leather will become more

supple. Tt will take on a patina as you use it over time, which makes it an item

that could easily become an heirloom in the family. Next are skincare products

by Aesop. Now, a good skincare routine is one of those things that I think a lot

of us guys tend to overlook at times, but it is extremely important. For the past

two or three years or so, I have been using, almost exclusively, products by

Aesop. I have tried many different brands in the past and Aesop is honestly one of

my all-time favorites. And that is because I have not found anything as

good or that works as well for me as Aesop stuff does. Currently I use the

resurrection hand balm, classic shampoo and conditioner, the coriander seed body

cleanser, the Moroccan neroli post-shave lotion, the amazing face cleanser, that's

actually the name of it, and the mandarin facial hydrating cream. Price for each

item ranges between twenty-five and fifty dollars, which might seem like a

lot, especially considering the size of some of the items. I thought that

initially as well, but do not let the size fool you. I can tell you from

experience that this stuff will last much longer than the size of the

packaging might lead you to believe. My final pick is one of my favorite shoe

brands and that is Belgian Shoes. Not any shoe that calls itself a Belgian shoe--

because there are others that call themselves Belgian shoes and have a

similar look--but I'm talking about the original Belgian Shoes at 55th and Park

in New York City. There is a book that I read called Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its

Luster--I'll put a link to it down below in the description--and that book talks

about how luxury goods have changed over time, in particular, in how they are

manufactured. When we think of something as an old-school kind of luxury item, we

typically think that it is made with very high-quality materials and that,

generally, it's made by hand. That's not the case for a lot of big-name luxury

brands anymore. But there are some brands that still do everything by hand. And

Belgian Shoes is one of those brands. Beyond the craftsmanship aspect of

Belgian Shoes, there is also the comfort factor. I personally own three

pairs of Belgian shoes. A black suede Mr. Casual. A blackwatch plaid wool Mr.

Casual. And a patent leather Henri. And I can tell you from experience that

these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. In the realm of

expensive shoes, these are not really on the super high end, though they are

certainly expensive shoes. Prices range between four hundred sixty-five to four

hundred ninety dollars. So there you have it! Six products that I think are totally

worth every single penny you would spend on them. So what do you guys think? Leave

your comments below. And if there are some expensive products you think are

worth the money definitely leave those for everyone to consider as well. Thumbs

up if you like this video. Don't forget to subscribe to the channel. And until

next time, thanks for watching and stay tailored.

The Babadook Ending Explained - Duration: 5:26.

Jennifer Kent's 2014 horror hit The Babadook has plenty to say about grief and the exhaustion

of motherhood, while also being just plain scary.

Part of the movie's appeal is its moody, ambiguous ending.

If it's in a look or in a book, you can't get rid of the Babadook, but you can understand

it.

The Babadook opens on mother Amelia experiencing the traumatic event that underlines the entire

film: her husband Oskar's death in a car accident, while driving to the hospital for the birth

of their son, Samuel.

It's easily read as a flashback or a horrible nightmare, but it's just as fair to say that

the accident is the only event in her life that has mattered for the past six years.

When she falls onto the bed in the opening scene, it's as if those years have only been

a dream.

Our first glimpse of Samuel is him waking up Amelia.

It's a metaphor for a theme that echoes throughout.

Amelia is sleepwalking through her days and marking the hours until the dark times fade,

but she's entirely stuck on Oskar's death.

That event is so intertwined with Samuel's birth that she struggles to be the mother

that he needs her to be.

And unfortunately for her, he's not an easy child to raise.

If dealing with crippling grief and an unruly child weren't enough, the title monster soon

makes an appearance when Samuel finds Mister Babadook, a book that's appeared mysteriously

on his bookshelf.

Although Samuel is initially excited for Amelia to read it to him, that excitement quickly

turns to fear once they begin.

The book describes a horrible monster called the Babadook that invades its victim's thoughts

and home and is impossible to banish.

"Does it live under the bed?

Mom?

Mommy!"

The Babadook burrows in deep and soon becomes a constant source of fear for both Samuel

and Amelia.

Samuel's behavior intensifies as he suffers from insomnia and persistent nightmares that

the Babadook is inside the house.

Amelia's own insomnia gets worse, and their fragile relationship is stretched to the breaking

point.

The Babadook is a potent metaphor for all sorts of mental ailments, from postpartum

depression to overwhelming grief.

Part of the reason that the monster works so well as a metaphor is that Amelia doesn't

have the strength to ask for help.

In the literal sense, it seems like she's being attacked by a horrible monster that's

invisible and seemingly everywhere all the time.

In the metaphorical sense, she's struggling with violent urges towards her son.

In either case, she can't possibly ask for help and sound remotely stable.

"All children see monsters."

"Not like this."

Amelia and Samuel become steadily more isolated from everyone as the Babadook grows more and

more powerful.

Whatever sleep Amelia was able to grasp before becomes nonexistent after it invades the house.

In terms of visual design, the Babadook owes equal influence to German Expressionism and

the work of writer-artist Edward Gorey.

The creature is all jagged corners and suffused with a slick, oily blackness that blends into

the walls.

German Expressionism was an artistic movement interested in exploring highly stylized stories

that often dealt with themes of insanity and betrayal.

During her insomnia-fueled TV marathons, Amelia watches watches some German Expressionist

films.

The Mister Babadook book, meanwhile, is strongly influenced by Gorey's thick linework and gently-misshapen

figures.

These references aren't just an artistic flourish.

They give both Amelia and the audience a form with which to categorize the Babadook.

In classic German Expressionist style, the monster is both an actual, true monster and

also an imaginary visualization of Amelia's exhaustion and mental illness.

Amelia and Samuel eventually manage to defeat the Babadook by banishing it to the cellar.

At this point, Amelia seems more energetic and awake than we've ever seen her.

She's caring and warm towards Samuel, and the harsh editing and sound mixing that characterized

Samuel's temper tantrums earlier in the film are completely gone.

It seems like a happy ending, until we see why Samuel was gathering earthworms from their

garden.

Amelia takes the worms down to the Babadook, which is still living in the cellar.

It nearly attacks her, but she manages to calm it down.

Although she's shaken when she returns to Samuel in the backyard, it's a far cry from

her earlier experiences with the monster.

Just as the book repeated so insistently, you can't get rid of the Babadook, but it

turns out that you can live with it.

It's still in the basement, and it's still dangerous, but it's a thing that Amelia can

live with now that she's stopped denying it.

The end of the movie sees Amelia acknowledging the Babadook as a permanent presence in her

and Samuel's lives.

Giving herself the room and time to feed her grief lets her be awake, really awake, for

the first time that we've seen in the film.

One of the most important lines of dialogue comes right before Amelia goes into the cellar

to feed the Babadook.

"Am I ever gonna see it?"

"One day.

When you're bigger."

If the Babadook represents the grief that Amelia feels over Oskar's death, then Samuel

will have to eventually reckon with it, too.

He might not have ever known his father enough to mourn him the way his mom has, but that

grief is waiting in the wings for when he's older.

This also fits the idea that the Babadook represents mental illness, as many forms are

hereditary.

It's likely that Samuel will one day have to battle the same monsters, figurative and

literal, that Amelia's struggled against.

The Chase: 'Are you serious?' Viewers BAFFLED by contestant's answer [SNL] - Duration: 5:04.

The Chase viewers were treated to Bradley Walsh bringing another group of contestants to the game this evening

But while Bradley was confident in his team, the team were not so confident in their answers

The second contestant of the evening, Alicia, entered her round confident, but she quickly became unstuck

Eventually Alicia was asked about an iconic wall, which left her utterly stumped

She was asked: "By sixth February, 2018, what defensive fortification had been dismantled for as long as it had stood intact? Hadrian's Wall, Berlin Wall, or Great Wall of China?" The strangely worded question seemed to confuse Alicia as she tentatively selected "Hadrian's Wall

" She commented: "I'm pretty sure the Berlin Wall was taken down before I was born

" Meanwhile the Chaser of the evening, Shaun Wallace, selected the Berlin Wall, the correct answer to the question

Unfortunately Alicia got the question wrong, and subsequently was chased out of the competition

And viewers were a little mad about the gap in her knowledge. One wrote on Twitter: "She thinks they've dismantled Hadrian's Wall… #thechase

" Another asked: "Alicia thinking that the Berlin Wall was taken down years ago???? It's still there hun??? #thechase

" While another angrily inquired: "Hadrian's Wall? Are you f****ng serious? #thechase

" But one viewer announced: "Well I think it's clear someone didn't understand that Berlin Wall question at all

#TheChase." Bradley hasn't had the best luck with his contestants this week, as last night saw him attempting to mimic a geordie accent

Speaking to Fiona, one of his contestants, Bradley commented on her accent and attempted to take "lessons" from her

Unfortunately it wasn't exactly the best attempt at an accent, leaving viewers to become a little angry about it

One wrote on Twitter: "Never thought anything could be worse than Bear's singing, but his Geordie accent come close #thechase

" Another sarcastically added: "#Thechase Wae'aye man. Yea. All Geordies talk like that

" The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.

Eric Harrison a "second father" to Man United kids like me, says Phil Neville - Duration: 1:57.

Phil Neville claims Eric Harrison was like a second father to him and Manchester United's other young players

Former United defender Neville, now manager of the England women's team, captained Harrison's 1995 FA Youth Cup winning-side

Remembering Harrison, who has died at age 81, he said: "If you take away the influence of your father, he was probably our second father

He was the one who took us from the age of 14 and delivered us to the first team, ready

Eric didn't prepare you for a life in football, he prepared you to succeed in life with the values instilled in us

"He had an unbelievable work ethic, the toughness of his attitude, the attention to detail in that he would not let you get away with absolutely anything

"The way you spoke to the canteen ladies, the kit man, the way you dressed, your timekeeping, they were values that stood us in good stead for all our lives

"He taught us the value of hard work. He got us in early in the morning, he had us working three sessions a day, he pushed us and worked on our character

He didn't just train us as football people.  "He was a truly remarkable man and I personally owe him everything

"I'm a manager now, and the standards that I try to give my players are the standards that he taught me

I'll be for ever indebted to him."

Arsenal fans BLAST Unai Emery over Mesut Ozil: 'It's bordering on a sackable offence' - Duration: 3:08.

It marks the 100th time the German has not featured for the Gunners since joining the club back in 2013

Emery has left Ozil out for tactical reasons on many occasions this season and he didn't even travel with Arsenal for this clash

The 30-year-old has played just 14 times in the Premier League this campaign. But fans on social media are backing the player over the manager and say Emery needs to give Ozil a chance

One said: "Why #Ozil still not playing? Get him back soon as you can. #YaGunnersYa

" Another added: "I honestly want Arsenal to lose this game so that Emery realises his mistake and starts the right 11 going forward

"You need creative midfielders like Ozil and Ramey to open up defences and create chances

Iwobi and Xhaka can never do that!" A third explained: "This game is perfect for Ozil but emery prefers Iwobi who mishits nearly every pass

" Another even questioned whether Emery should stay in his job over the bizarre situation with Ozil

They posted: "How can Emery watch the lack of superiority and ideas and not use Mesut Ozil?  "It's bordering on a sackable offence imo #afc #BATEARS

" Arsenal have lacked creativity in the match so far and find themselves 1-0 at half-time

Stanislav Dragun converted from a free-kick crossed in by Igor Stasevich right at the end of the first 45 minutes

Martin Keown has also had his say on the Ozil situation. He explained on BT Sport: "I think the manager's basically saying 'look, you can't just turn up and train when you want to, when you fancy it, I'm not going to take you on this trip because you haven't trained enough'

That's right and proper. "I still feel though that he has got something to offer

The player has to ask himself what does he want to do, where does he want to play his football? "If he's going to go somewhere else his wages are so massive that Arsenal would have to contribute towards those wages

"It just feels that decision made 12 months ago is proving to be the wrong decision

"That decision is costing Arsenal Football Club something like £18million a year just alone for Ozil's wages

"That is really very restrictive for the football club."

Arsenal legend Martin Keown tears into Mesut Ozil after 'remarkable' statistic revealed - Duration: 3:20.

Ozil is out of favour at Arsenal and has been since Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger last summer

The former Germany international has missed numerous matches this season due to illness, injury and tactical reasons

He was left at home for the Europa League last-32 first-leg clash at BATE Borisov on Thursday

BT Sport host Jake Humphrey revealed it was the 100th game Mesut Ozil has missed since he joined the club in 2013 out of a possible 314

Keown doubts whether the 30-year-old has actually been ill or injured and has questioned his complete commitment to the club

"It's questionable," Keown said. "Is he injured? Is he ill? One of the things for a player is you've got to be available for selection and you want to give consistency

He hasn't been able to give either of those. "So he's got to work to get back into the team, that's what the manager's asking for, that's what he has to do

"But it's now becoming embarrassing the Ozil situation. "We don't know do we whether he's really injured or not

"To miss that amount of games is quite remarkable isn't it, 100 matches in that period

I would say that is definitely questionable. We don't know, only the player really knows

" Keown says Emery is right to leave Ozil out if he is not fully committed. But the former defender doubts whether it will be easy to offload Ozil in the summer

He added: "I think the manager's basically saying 'look, you can't just turn up and train when you want to, when you fancy it, I'm not going to take you on this trip because you haven't trained enough'

That's right and proper. "I still feel though that he has got something to offer
