Mr. Beat presents Supreme Court Briefs

Green County, Wisconsin September 1968

Three Amish students from three different families stop going to school at New Glarus High School.

They were Frieda Yoder, age 15. Barbara Miller, also age 15, and Vernon Yutzy, age 14.

But in Green County, not going to school if you were under the age of 16 was illegal.

The school district tried to get them to go, but the parents said "no man, our kids are no longer going to school due to our religious beliefs."

Green County didn't care if it was their religious beliefs or not.

It fined the parents $5 for breaking the county's compulsory-attendance law.

Yeah. That will show them. Wait, just $5?

Anyway, the parents argued it was Amish tradition to not enroll their kids in public school after 8th grade.

In general, there are two reasons for this. One is practicality.

Amish teenagers generally need to begin learning a trade after 8th grade and public high schools usually don't offer adequate training for them.

The second reason? The Amish tend to see high schools and colleges as institutions that might promote ideas that go against their traditional Christian values and hurt their chances at going to heaven, yo.

Jonas Yoder, the father of Frieda, represented the parents in court, but the Amish generally don't like going to court to settle disputes.

Therefore, a Lutheran minister named William Lindholm took an interest in their case and decided to help them fight, as he believed the county's compulsory-attendance law went against the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.

They appealed to the Wisconsin Circuit Court, who agreed with the lower court, so they appealed again to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, who agreed with Yoder and the rest, overturning the decision.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court said that the state of Wisconsin couldn't show that having an educational system for all its citizens was more important than the Amish families' rights to practice their religion freely.

Wisconsin was like, "oh yeah? Fine. We're appealing to the Supreme Court of the United States, so what up now?"

I'll tell you what up now. They kept on fighting

and the Court agreed to take on the case, hearing oral arguments on December 8, 1971.

The two things at odds with each other were religious freedom versus compulsory education.

Yoder argued that high school threatened his Amish way of life.

Wisconsin argued that some Amish kids may decide to leave the Amish faith after they reach adulthood, and so therefore a public school education through high school was necessary so they could more easily adapt to the "real world."

If the kids were 2 or 3 or 4 years older, then it wouldn't be an issue, because they'd be considered adults who could choose whatever religion they wanted.

So was Wisconsin violating the kids' First Amendment rights by forcing them to go to school?

The Court said "yes." On May 15, 1972, they announced they sided with Yoder.

It was unanimous, although Justice William Douglas gave a partial dissent.

But yeah, the Court said the 14th Amendment was applicable to the states in this case, and that the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment DID protect the Amish parents' right to take their kids out of school, even though they were under 16.

Now, the Court did say that not all belief systems are protected by that Clause.

If someone had a crazy belief system that severely harmed these children, that's a different story, but the Amish way of life had been around for three centuries and they were Christians, after all.

The Court also said there was no evidence that two more years in high school would make these kids any more prepared for the real world or any more of a burden on society.

The partial dissent from Douglas was remembering the children, man.

"I agree with the Court that the religious scruples of the Amish are opposed to the education of their children beyond the grade schools, yet I disagree with the Court's conclusion that the matter is within the dispensation of parents alone...

On this important and vital matter of education, I think the children should be entitled to be heard."

The rest of the court responded by basically saying "Dude, this is about the parents and the state. Why are you bringing the kids up?"

Wisconsin v. Yoder further protected the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.

It is often THE case brought up defending a parent's right to homeschool their kids.

However, parents can't just take their kids out of school and teach them some wacky ideology or philosophy. The Court was specific.

It was only ok if it was a well established religion that was consistent historically about the reasoning for taking the kids out school in the first place.

I'll see you for the next Supreme Court case, jury!

So what do YOU think about this case?

Do you agree with the Court on this one?

And if there is just one Supreme Court case that you think is important that I have yet to cover for this series

let me know below.

Dear Opportunity [Original Song] - Duration: 1:58.

We sent you on a mission made for 90 days

Built you in our image, our curiosity for the stars

On the uncharted planet there in outer space

You roamed and searched and documented Mars

Rover in the wide and deep expanse of space

For fourteen years you brought perspective to the human eye

For water and for life up there, we watched you chase

Dear Opportunity, now we say goodbye

We built you in the name of opportunity,

For fourteen years, you showed us your tenacity

Through storms and winds you did embark

And under the sun, you made your mark

Now your battery is low, and it's getting dark

We built you in the name of opportunity,

For fourteen years you showed us your tenacity.

Through storms and winds, you did embark

And under the sun, you made your mark

Now your battery is low, and it's getting dark.

Can You Hit the Enemy Underwater? Can You Jump Over a Moving Vehicle? PUBG Mobile MythBusters - Duration: 11:07.

In today's video I'm going to analyze the following myths. Can you kill your enemy

if he or she is hiding underwater? Is it true that swimming underwater is faster

than swimming on the surface? Can you kill your enemies outside that render

distance with a vehicle explosion? Is it possible to jump over your enemies

car when he's trying to run you over? Only here in GameVestment's PUBG

Mobile MythBusters

Coucou everyone welcome back is your host GV and I hope you

having an amazing day first of all we have a pop quiz as always you will find

it in the community tab we already have 3000 test subjects and the question is

Are they going to pass? I will reveal the answer in a future video but for now

let's go right into it and our first myth comes from a lot of people enough

and Abdel Ilah says you can kill your enemy underwater with a crossbow or a Molotov

cocktail highly requested myth let's go right into it for this first experiment

I'm going to be a test subject really self-explanatory we are going to

get underwater and the two enemies are going to try to hit us

so hit or miss I guess they always miss but if you pay close attention you can

actually see when a crossbow bolt hits the water for the next one we want to

try this with an AR and a sniper I'm getting really impatient here

because I'm not getting hit so I'm trying to find the bullets sadly it's not

going to work but still we're gonna keep trying and trying just to make sure

we're not making any mistakes again you can clearly see that bullets hit in the

water but it seems they are not going deep enough to be able to hit us

It seems like if the ocean was a wall and the bullets cannot pass through it

we were almost going to call it a day until this happened

The crossbow bolt actually hit my teammate even though he was really close

to the bottom of the ocean since I was not going to be able to sleep knowing

that there is a possibility here I decide to run some more tests

For the second part of this experiment I'm going to be the one shooting from the bridge

so the amazing spagett is ready yeah don't judge me I was forced to say this

this is the things I need to do for you ah so I really hope I see those Thumbs Up

huh yeah you know what I mean huh and surprise surprise after trying it

several times and nothing is going to change so yet again I was going to call

it a day until this happened even thou Spagett is moving straight down you can

see my scope there is change in position so I decided to follow it

and we actually made it we got our first shot but I still wanted to try this just to

make sure I understand this correctly and there you go simple as that we're

going to make it again but wait because I know you love the crossbow so for

every crossbow fan out there yes you can kill someone underwater with a

crossbow but wait I didn't forget and this is what happens when you throw a

Molotov to the ocean

We have our answer and I'm going to approve this one yes you can kill your

enemy underwater with pretty much any weapon including a Molotov and grenades

just take into account and please don't forget that hitting the enemy like this is

going to be really hard so staying underwater and moving is still a great

strategy! NEXT. MEAT... and the next one comes from potato master just like me

and RAGERaven and they say swimming underwater is faster than swimming on

the surface and swimming backwards is actually faster okay look sometimes I

don't know where you get your myths from but are you okay? like I'm serious I okay

swimming backwards I never thought about that so let's go right into it

We are ready and as always the first thing I want to show you in every race

is the normal distance and speed you should have and what you should expect

every time so for example here we have the same speed everything is normal so

now we can start with the first experiment swimming underwater vs. swimming on the

surface let's go

and as you can see we keep three metres away from each other the distance is not

going to change and now as promised swimming backwards versus swimming on

the surface

and surprise surprise is going to be the same speed don't worry if you don't

believe me let me show it one more time really quick even though there's not a

difference if you think about it it can be a really good strategy

for example if you think someone is behind you or maybe the enemy is coming

on a boat since you have the same speed you can always look back if there is

something that you prefer to do we have our answer and I'm going to bust this ones

NO swimming underwire is not faster same as swimming backwards it makes no

difference at all and don't judge me I am just here replying to your comments

BUT GV is it faster if you swim sideways

shut the (Christian Channel)

Next. Meaaat! And this one comes from Jarvis YT and he or she says you can kill

enemies outside the render distance with a vehicle explosion 18 likes and this is

what I call quality meat in my opinion this is something really interesting so

we're going to get that Jeep ready two more shots and is going to explode and

now we need to move 600 meters away if you watch my video about the render

distance you probably already know why 600 meters

if not let me tell you really quick enemies have a render distance of 320

meters to 330 meters teammates and vehicles have a render distance of 600 meters

finally we are ready we are 600 meters away I'm going to sacrifice myself flat

team I heard the shot that's never a good sign and GG to me not even a knocked

straight kill and you're going to loot me even if I sacrificed myself for the team

thank you GamerMohammed :( we have our answer and I'm going to approve this one yes you

can kill your enemies outside the render distance with a vehicle explosion this

is something really interesting so let me explain your really quick why if you

see a vehicle that is next to a building and it's 350 meters away you can

actually just go for it and destroy it even though someone else can hear you

nevertheless if there's no one near you it's a really good strategy because one

your enemy cannot see you and 2 your enemy can't see your shots either and if

you watch this video you probably really know how many bullets you need to

destroy almost every vehicle in the game I'm just saying 600m away

destroy the vehicle so now they will need to walk and hope for the best

that will be everything for today oops what is that

hmm let me think about it have you been a good test subject? BONUS MYTH

And this one comes from Teddy PUBG

Mobile and he says you can jump over your enemies car if he's trying to run

you over oh boy I don't like where this is going

and for some reason people like to see us suffer so

okay that didn't count but I'm getting closer although you can easily jump the wheels

and that's how you do it and just because I'm having a lot of fun let's go

one more time and since I know you're going to ask... here's with the Dacia

and as you probably already imagine I'm going to approve this one yes you can actually jump

over your enemies car if here she's trying to run you over honestly I didn't

think this was possible but hey the more you know huh? I totally recommend you try

this one especially if you're a pro player this can really save your life

it's a little bit tricky it's also really risky but once you understand

what is going on you will be able to do it with no problems that will be

everything for today so if you learn something new or if you enjoyed this

video please don't forget to Like share comment and subscribe really helps a lot

huge thank you to my patrons because they are making this way easier for me

so I can keep uploading videos and as always thank you so much for watching

and I will snipe you soon

How to Use WITH & BY ⚡️English Prepositions | Common Grammar Mistakes - Duration: 23:21.

Hey there, I'm Emma from mmmEnglish!

In this lesson, we'll go over these two prepositions.

Now, if you're a little confused by prepositions

that's totally normal!

Wait a second, I could also say

If you're feeling frustrated with prepositions

you're definitely not alone.

It's a little tricky, right?

Are both of those sentences right?

Does the meaning change?

So both of these sentences are perfectly fine

but let's find out a little more about how to use

these little

but important English prepositions correctly.

Hold tight!

Prepositions are, well,

they're just annoying little buggers!

They're such tiny words,

yet they influence your sentence significantly.

When they're used correctly,

they can make your English sound more advanced.

They can help you to sound more natural

and more fluent when you're speaking

which of course, is exactly what you're aiming for.

But, if they're used incorrectly, well

these errors are quite obvious

to native English speakers.

And these mistakes, they actually reduce the quality

of your English.

And sometimes it can also mean that you're

misunderstood - the meaning's not clear.

So you probably know that there's lots

of prepositions in English.

I could keep going but you get the point.

Actually when you get the chance, you can review

this playlist right here, it's full of my lessons

about prepositions.

One problem that my students have with prepositions

from their own native language

is that they don't translate perfectly into English

so they end up using the wrong preposition

and it becomes a bit of a habit, right?

Which is why it's really important

to study and practise prepositions

in context, so using books,

blog posts and other texts.

They're really great places to really try and understand

English prepositions and

see them, how they're used naturally.

In this lesson, I'll go over the prepositions 'with' and 'by'.

So we'll talk about the general rules

and the uses for each of those prepositions.

We'll also talk about how both of them

could be used in the same sentence.

And later on, later in the lesson,

I'll test you on what you've learnt so make sure you

stick around until the end of the lesson

so we can practise a little together, right?

Cool! So let's start with

So, 'with' can actually mean

all of these different things as a preposition.

But let's just start with the first one for now.

You can use 'with' when you're talking about people,

or things being together.

So if you're with someone,

then you're probably in the same place as them.

This means

I was physically in the same place as Jane yesterday

while the accident was happening.

Now this could be people or objects,

so two objects or things that are with each other

are also together.

When I eat a burger

I put mustard on it and I eat the burger

and the mustard together, right?

So 'with' means physically in the same place.

There's one exception though,

this is an informal usage but a very, very common one.

Two people that are together or with each other,

well this can actually mean that they're in a

romantic relationship or they're dating.

So Chris and Jane probably haven't been

physically in the same location since last year,

but they have been together in a relationship.

Now this usage, it's quite contextual,

you kind of need the other information in the sentence

to help you recognise the meaning.

So here's a couple more examples.

So this is that informal use - talking about a relationship

and 'boyfriend' there is the clue that we're talking about,

a romantic relationship.

Now here, this probably isn't talking about

a romantic relationship because

we're looking for Sammy,

we want to know where she is,

where she physically is right now. We're asking

is she with you?

Okay? It's not the romantic meaning.

'With' can also mean having something.

So you can use 'with' to show that something

or someone has something else.

So a person with tattoos is someone who has tattoos.

A dog with a red collar

is a dog who has a red collar.

Okay so 'with' can also mean to use something,

to make or to do something else.

So think about a time when you were doing an action

or you were making something

with the help of

a tool or an object or an ingredient.

It sounds a little confusing.

But let me think of a couple of examples

just to make it a bit easier to understand.

So she used the candles to make the table look nice.

Okay? She's using them as a tool or as a material.

So he uses a pencil while he's doing his homework.

So these three meanings that we've just been through,

they're all quite similar

but small details in a sentence can help you

figure out the meaning of 'with' in that sentence.

So I want to give you a few examples to help you

compare these three different uses of 'with', okay?

So here I'm talking about using basil to cook.

It's an important ingredient or tool, I guess,

that I use to make this specific recipe.

But I could also say in general

that I like pasta sauce with basil.

Okay? So I'm not making the pasta sauce here,

I'm not using basil.

I'm just speaking about how I like pasta

or pasta sauce that has basil in it,

that contains basil.

But if I went to a restaurant, the waitress might ask

So she's asking if

if I want the pasta and the basil sauce together.

So if I say yes,

I'm going to get both of those things together

on my plate, right?

Does that make sense?

Okay so there are two more ways that you can use

the preposition 'with'

though these ones are a little

less common than the last three.

But you can use 'with'

to show the feeling behind an action.

So to say that you're doing an action

with a certain feeling.

So the person who's writing that message

they want to show or explain that they're feeling sad

as they are doing the action of writing the message.

Okay?

So we can use 'with' to explain

how an action - the emotion behind an action.

Now lastly,

if someone is with you,

they agree with you, they're on your side.

So imagine that everyone at work

is in the middle of a big discussion.

Everyone has different opinions, right?

But you agree with Matt, so you can say:

When you say that you are

letting everyone know that you

agree with Matt.

You have the same opinions as Matt, right?

Now we also talked about this same use

in this video.

This is the video about the prepositions, 'for' and 'by'.

So you can use 'for' to express

a similar idea, to agree or support someone.

But 'with' is usually used to say that you

support a person and their opinion.

And 'for' is usually used to say that you support an idea.

So I would say:

We both agree in free healthcare for everyone.

Now compare that to

Okay? There's a difference.

Now interestingly, this expression

'to stand by someone'

has a very similar meaning, it's a similar idea.

It's really nice when someone stands by you, right?

But this is an important expression to keep in mind

because the meaning is very similar

to what we've just been talking about

but the preposition is different.

Right? So you just need to take a note of it.

Right, so we've been over

all of the uses of 'with' as a preposition.

But before we move on, I want you to

pause for a moment and write a few sentences

in the comments below

to practise using what you've learned just now, okay?

And I'll try and check them and

make sure I give you some feedback,

make sure that you're using them correctly.

Down there!

All right, let's check out the preposition 'by' now.

Now it can be used to talk about general proximity.

So to show that someone is near

or close to something else.

And it usually means that

that thing is right beside it

or to the side of something else.

Where did you park the car?

Okay?

So that means I parked near the supermarket.

My car is really close to the supermarket.

It's probably right next to it.

So this is easy enough, right?

Now

there's a teeny weeny thing that you need

to remember here.

When 'by' is used with a verb that shows movement,

it describes the movement past

a person or a place or a thing.

So 'by' with a movement verb shows us

that something is moving past another thing.

So here, 'walk' is a verb that shows movement, right?

So I walked past your office,

I walked by your office.

Now we also use 'by' to set a time limit.

So when 'by' is used with time, it means

not later than a certain time.

I can leave before seven thirty,

or exactly at seven thirty

but I can't leave later than seven thirty.

If I leave later,

well, I'll be late for work.

Have your parents ever said that to you?

So in this lesson here, I actually go into more detail

about how we use 'by'

to talk about time.

So if you want to go a little more deeper on that,

click this link here.

We can also use 'by' to show

who or what is doing something

when we're using the passive voice.

So this is the passive voice.

In English, we use the passive voice or the active voice

for different reasons.

Actually I made a lesson on it a few months ago so it's

right here if you are curious about the passive voice.

So this is the passive voice.

The active voice is

So in the first example I'm using the passive voice

to show that the emphasis is on the action,

not the person.

The action is the most important thing in the sentence.

And we use 'by' to know who or what

is doing the action, if it's important.

Now when you want to

explain how an action will be done,

you can also use 'by'.

So you're saying what is your

method for arriving somewhere.

Or getting something done

or doing something.

What is the way that you're going to do it?

In all of those different situations, you can use

'by' to explain how.

Okay? So bike was the method

that I used to get to work.

Another one.

Okay these are the methods to achieve the outcome.

All right, last one

and then we'll practise together, I promise.

We can use 'by' with a reflexive pronoun

to say that you'll do something alone.

Okay or a person is doing something alone.

Now all personal pronouns have a reflexive

form in English, right?

So we have

Right? There's quite a few of them.

But you can use 'by' with a reflexive pronoun

to talk about doing something alone

or without any help from anyone else.

So you would say 'by myself'

That kind of thing.

So that just means

that I don't need you, I can clean up on my own.

Speaking of reflexive pronouns,

let's go back to the preposition 'with' for a moment

because 'with' can also be used with a reflexive pronoun

So remember that 'with'

and a person

means together, right?

So 'with' and a reflexive pronoun, it's kind of like

saying together with oneself, right?

So he was talking to himself, probably just

inside his head, right?

You don't have to speak out loud to have

a conversation with yourself, right?

Cool, so let's look at a few situations

where both 'with' and 'by' can be used correctly

but of course,

it means the meaning changes

and this is where it can get a little confusing, all right?

I want you to take your time here.

So I want you to think about

what's the difference in the meaning here.

Why have we used each of these prepositions

and what do they mean in each of these sentences?

I want you to pause the video for a moment

and write your answer in the comments.

Okay so the first sentence.

It uses 'by' to show who was doing the action,

who filmed the movie. It was Jerry.

But in the second sentence, 'with' tells us

what was used to do the filming

so what kind of equipment was used.

Well it was an underwater camera, right?

Let's try another one.

So pause the video, think about the difference.

Try and explain it in the answers.

And I'll be down there to check soon.

So I hope that you paused and you wrote your answer

because I'm about to tell you it anyway.

So in the first sentence, 'with' shows togetherness.

The lady and the dog are together, it's probably her dog.

But in the second sentence,

'by' tells us the location of the lady. She's near the dog.

It could be her dog but

maybe not, we don't really know.

Now that you know the rules about these prepositions,

you'll be able to read through a few

pages of your favourite English book

and start to recognise these different uses.

Actually, that's a really great way to help you

remember what you learned in this lesson, to actually

start practising,

looking for these prepositions

and trying to understand them.

Now before you go, I've got a few last sentences

to practise with you, okay?

I'm going to give you some sentences

and see if you can choose the correct preposition

to go in the blank space, right?

So I want you to write your answers in the comments

below. I'm going to be down there checking them

straight away after this lesson's live.

And I don't want you to write

just the answer, I want you to tell me why

you've chosen that preposition.

What's the meaning behind it, right?

Here we go!

Is it 'by' or 'with'?

It's 'by' right? Because we've got

a reflexive pronoun here

to talk about doing something alone.

Right? Okay now it's your turn.

What's the preposition?

Right?

Here's another one.

So that's together, right?

Fries and your burger together.

Now it is possible to say

'Would you like to order any fries by your burger?'

Sounds a bit weird though. That just means

on the plate, so next to the burger on your plate.

So it's a way less common way of saying that.

It's not completely incorrect but it

certainly doesn't sound right.

So 'with' is the correct option there.

How about this one?

Right?

So here, 'by' is telling us that

it's the method that something is done, right?

This one?

We're using 'with' here to say that she has something.

Something. She has thirteen children.

Can you imagine that?

It would be chaos!

Absolute chaos!

Okay, how about this one? We've got two.

Is it 'with' or 'by'? Where does it go?

Correct.

Together with their parents.

And

So next to the river.

Last one.

So it's

so we're together and

so that's the method of getting to work.

So how did you go?

I hope that you enjoyed that lesson

especially the practice section at the end

because you need to make sure that you're

using the lessons that you learn here at mmmEnglish.

Like I said,

practise while you read, just grab your favourite book,

English book, or find an article online even,

but then underline every 'with' and 'by' on the page.

These words are so common, I'm sure you'll find

plenty of them.

But what I want you to do is to then

be curious and try to understand or try to work out

why these different prepositions were used.

It will really help your brain to remember this lesson.

Now I would love to keep teaching you

more about prepositions right here.

Or we can switch things up a little bit and maybe

try this lesson instead.

But don't forget to subscribe and show your support

for the mmmEnglish channel

and I will see you

in one of these lessons.

See you there!

Samantha Marsh: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Samantha Marsh is a married Maryland high school nurse charged with performing oral sex on four underage male students, The Salisbury Daily Times reported.

Marsh, a 33-year-old teacher who worked at Crisfield High School and Academy, was charged with 10 counts of fourth-degree sex offense, four counts of perverted practice, four counts of contributing to the condition of a child and one count of attempted fourth-degree sex offense, Maryland State Police said.

Marsh, who has several young children, was arrested Tuesday and is being held without bail at the Somerset County Detention Center, The Daily Times reported.

Police say the alleged sexual encounters took place in the nurse's van off school grounds between March 2018 and January 2019.

Police say they learned of the alleged offenses after Marsh had already been placed on administrative leave over sexual relationships with students.

"I know she did wrong. I know that.

But she's not a bad person," her husband told CBS Baltimore.

Here's what you need to know:.

School Officials Suspended Samantha Marsh Over Alleged Sexual Relationships With Students.

Maryland State Police launched an investigation on February 11 after learning of alleged sex acts she performed on students between March 2018 and January 2019, The Daily Times reported.

When investigators responded to the school, an administrator told them that Marsh had already been placed on administrative leave, citing "inappropriate behavior, which consisted of sexual relationships with multiple students," the outlet reported.

Police say Marsh performed oral sex on four different students.

When they interviewed Marsh, police say she admitted to having sexual contact with three of the four alleged victims.

17-Year-Old Told Police Marsh Invited Him to Her Home via Snapchat.

The first alleged victim that police talked to, a 17-year-old male student, first claimed he had no "sexual activity" with the nurse but named three other 17-year-old students he said did have sexual contact with Marsh.

According to police, the teen later told them that he did have sexual contact with the teacher after she sent him a Snapchat message in October inviting him to her home.

The teen told police that he met Marsh in a van in her driveway where she performed a sex act on him before telling him not to disclose what happened to anyone, police say.

Second Victim Said Marsh Invited Him Over Multiple Times.

Police say the second 17-year-old they spoke to also denied having sexual contact with the nurse before his mother called police after the interview to tell investigators that her son was ready to discuss what happened.

The teen told police that Marsh contacted him via Snapchat in May and arranged to pick him up in her van.

The teen said Marsh reached out to him again in January, telling him that her husband was out of town, but the meeting did not take place.

Marsh Met Victims at McDonalds & Dollar General.

A third teen told police that he was contacted by Marsh as many five times between September and January.

The teen said he would meet up with the nurse at a McDonald's before she drove him to a back road where she performed oral sex.

The fourth teen told police that Marsh contacted him via Instagram messenger and saw her at a Dollar General store where she invited him to her van to perform a sex act.

Marsh Was Arrested on 19 Different Charges.

Police say Marsh admitted to sexual contact with three of the four students.

She was charged with 10 counts of fourth-degree sex offense, four counts of perverted practice, four counts of contributing to the condition of a child and one count of attempted fourth-degree sex offense.

She is being held at the Somerset County Detention Center without bail.

Her husband told CBS Baltimore that the arrest came as a "shock.

"I know she did wrong. I know that.

But she's not a bad person," he said.

'Man Utd were wrong to release you' - read the classy handwritten letter sent by Harrison - Duration: 2:21.

Harrison, who died on Thursday aged 81, was a youth coach at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson

He developed some of United's greatest ever players, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and David Beckham

Harrison led Manchester United to FA Youth Cup victories in 1992 and 1995 and was awarded an MBE two years ago for services to football

One player who never made it at Old Trafford was Alan McLoughlin. McLoughlin went on to have a successful professional career, making over 100 appearances for Swindon and over 300 for Portsmouth

But having worked under Harrison, and featuring over 40 times for the Red Devils reserve, the coach remembered McLoughlin

And the 51-year-old posted an image of the classy handwritten letter that Harrison sent back in 1991, five years after McLoughlin had been released

It read:  Following Harrison's death, many former stars were quick to pay tribute to their legendary coach

Beckham was one and he wrote: "He was always watching and always with us every time we played, I can still hear him telling me NO MORE HOLLYWOOD PASSES

"I can still see him as we played on The Cliff training ground looking down on us either with a proud smile or a loud bang of his fist on the window knowing any minute he would be on his way down to probably advise me in the most polite way to stop playing those passes

"More importantly he made us understand how to work hard and respect each other and not just on the pitch

We won't forget the life lessons he gave us. "Eric we love you and owe you everything

Gary, Phil, Ryan, Paul, Nicky and David."

Ryan Adams & 'Ava': 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

The FBI is looking into whether musician Ryan Adams committed a crime by sexting with an underage fan, The New York Times reported Thursday.

In a just-published exposé, the Times speaks to Adams' former wife and a number of other women, artists, and musicians, including a woman the paper, calls "Ava.

" Her identify protected because Ava claims that she and Adams began a text and Twitter liaison beginning when she was just 14, which included explicit sexual content.

Adams denies knowledge that she was underage.

Ava told the Times he did ask her age on a number of occasions.

But as was reported, during the text conversations that lasted almost a year, Adams allegedly texted Ava, "If people knew they would say I was like R Kelley lol…".

The Times said following its report, the FBI's Violent Crimes Against Children/Online Predators unit in New York is inquiring and may move forward with an investigation into whether Adams broke federal laws when he communicated with Ava.

Ryan Defends Himself: 'I Am Not a Perfect Man …'.

There is a mea culpa to being human and an apology and no sweeping denial; rather he says the illustration drawn is "upsettingly inaccurate.

"I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes.

To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.

But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate.

Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false.

I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage.

Period.

As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly.

I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be.

And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing.".

Ryan is Known For His 16 Albums & Controversies.

       .

Born in North Caroline in 1974, Ryan Adams once became enraged when an audience member likened him to rocker Bryan Adams.
