Now in this video I'm going to be talking about the topic of texting your ex and I know

that there are a lot of people out there who are looking for magic text messages to send

to your ex and word for word scripts that you can just send your ex and that's not really

what you're going to get here because ultimately that kind of stuff doesn't really work.

Sure, it might get you to the next step, but you're still not going to know what to do

when your ex texts you back or when things go off script or when you just run out of

of magic words to use or say what instead I'm going to do is I'm going to equip you

with a few basic principles and a few things to keep in mind when you are interacting with

your ex.

Now, the second thing I want you to understand about this video and what I'm going to be

sharing with you is that this is all within the context of understanding your ex's emotional

state and you really developing your own emotional states to best connect with your ex.

Okay.

This means that you are aware of what your exes, experience in the present moment is.

You're able to empathize with your ex's experience.

You're able to have composure to know what you want without having to collapse or posture

and you're able to express yourself relatively clearly.

Okay?

So this is all within that context.

If you are just sort of, you know, flying blind or something like that, then what I'd

like you to do is I'd like you to watch some of our other videos on the topic of really

understanding your ex's emotional state and connecting with them on an emotional level.

So at that being said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind when it does come

to texting your ex and all of this stuff really can also relate to emailing your ex, writing

her ex a Facebook message, sending your ex a letter, calling your ex on the phone or

anything else like that.

But this is specifically, we're going to be using texting as the example here because

a lot of people seem to enjoy texting or like the idea of texting their ex.

So the first issue that you might experience when it comes to texting your ex is that,

your ex may not respond or they may not respond right away or they may not respond in a meaningful

way.

And there are a couple of reasons why this might be, and this is what this particular

video is going to be about.

The first thing that you might be doing that could inadvertently be discouraging your ex

from actually responding to you or interacting with you is that you're just frankly sending

them too much information, too much content.

This is what we often call the wall of text.

So oftentimes people when they are first reaching out to their exes or contacting their ex,

or even emailing their ex, they will often pour their heart out onto the screen or onto

the page or onto the little box where you type in your text and they'll just, they'll

just go, they'll just, they'll just talk about everything that they're feeling, everything

that they're experiencing.

And they'll just go and they'll just go and they'll just go.

And then when they finally hit send, it goes off and then they're ex receives it.

And it, it's just this giant wall of text, this block of text, and there's just no space

for the eye to rest is just one enormous wall and a number one, it looks very difficult

to read.

And number two, it's full of emotional, emotionally heavy language.

Okay.

And this is very difficult for your ex to go through and your ex to read because number

one, it is very difficult.

There's very little space for the eye to rest.

And number two, it's also very emotionally difficult because you're talking about these

heavy feelings that you're having, these deep experiences that you're having.

And many times at the end of number three, there is a very big ask at the end.

Like, so will you please consider giving me another chance or we please consider getting

back together with me or something along those lines.

And what happens when your ax receives the wall of text is that they kind of shut down

emotionally and are looking for an excuse to not respond to it.

You know, they might, they might procrastinate, they might put it off, they might do something

along those lines.

And so I recommend that you don't use the wall of texts when you are talking to your

ex.

A mistake number two that people often make that keeps their ex from responding to them

or keeps their ex from wanting to text them back is that they often don't really ask a

meaningful or substantial question, right?

They often just, and they're their text message with hope, you're well or what's new or how's

it going?

Or something like that.

And this is not really a very good idea when it comes to creating the context for an emotional

interaction for a real conversation.

Because first of all, if you don't actually have a question, if it just ends with hope

you're doing well or something like that, your ex may not even think that you want them

to respond, right?

If you don't actually have a question, your ex might think, oh well they're just sending

me something.

They don't actually want me to respond there.

There has given me some sort of update.

They're not asking anything in particular.

And so they might just think that you don't need a response from them.

And the second reason why that's not a great idea is because if you are just sending them

a vague question like what's new, how's it going?

Something along those lines that has a similar effect because in our culture, in our society,

for lack of anything better, we use these, questions as basically a placeholder for a

greeting.

How you doing?

What's up, how's it going?

What's new?

Things like that.

You know, we often have these just throwaway phrases that we use in our day to day life,

such as when we're talking to the Barista at the coffee shop and there's a line of people

behind us that's, you know, 10 or 20 people along and the Barista just says, Hey, what's

going on?

Right?

They don't actually care how your day is going.

You don't actually care what is going on with you.

They're just saying that as a greeting, right?

You're supposed to just say, oh, not too much.

Oh, it's Monday.

Oh, I'm doing good.

You know, you're not supposed to actually tell them how your actual day is going, how

you actually feel.

It's just a greeting.

Right?

And so if your ex receives a question like this from you, they might not actually see

any need to respond.

It might just seem something like, you know, hey, what's up?

What's new?

How's it going?

It could just be like, hello.

Right.

If you even ask them that sort of question, it can often, not really inspire them to respond

just because it is a throwaway kind of phrase that we use in our society.

The third mistake that people make when texting their ex is that they don't ask specific questions.

So kind of building off and kind of the other side of that particular question, or that

last particular point is that you may not be asking your ex specific questions that

really inspire them to respond.

So questions such as how's it going, what's new?

Those are obviously bad like we just talked about.

But questions that actually do inspire them to respond are things like what was the last

thing that made you smile?

How was your weekend?

That's kind of a little bit iffy but you know, it, it is a little bit more specific and it

does inspire them to respond a little bit more.

Or here's what I had for lunch, can you, what, what did you have for lunch?

Or guess where I am attached with a photo or you know, something like that.

Those sorts of things are small asks.

And they are easy to answer for your ex.

So those sorts of things are great for getting a conversation going and getting your ex engaged

with you.

Now the fourth thing that actually stops your ex from responding is when you are relationship

focused, your motive for texting them is really to try to save the relationship.

The reason that you are sending them a text message is to get them to want to get back

together into a relationship with you, and I hate to say this because it's going to burst

a lot of people's bubble, but you cannot get back together with your ex solely over text

message.

Okay?

You have to actually have a significant emotional interaction and connection with them and chances

are you're probably going to have to, you know, have a actual phone call with them where

they can hear your voice or see your face or face to face meetup.

What are the two of you can actually interact, go out on some sort of date, build actual

experiences.

Your ex probably is not going to get back together with you just because you sent the

right text message off to them or something like that.

So you have to understand that the purpose of texting your ex is not to get them back.

But instead you want to simply just build a connection.

So if you can shift from being relationship focused to being connection focused, that

is going to help you immensely.

Because when you are relationship focused, you're going to ask your ex things like, hey,

would you ever consider getting back together?

Please give me another chance.

I promise I'll change.

I've been waiting eagerly for reply all continued to wait till the end of time or you know,

things like that.

And those sorts of things are going to make your ex want to pull away from you.

However, if you are simply connection focused, if you're simply just wanting to interact

in the present moment, then your ex is going to be much more likely to want to open up

and share with you because you are not bringing the sort of ulterior motive.

This sort of hidden agenda to the interactions, right?

If you have this hidden agenda of, Hey, I'm texting you because I want to get back together

with you so that I can feel good.

I don't care how you feel, I don't care what your thoughts are, I don't care about any

of that.

I just want to get back together with you so that I feel good again.

Then your ex is not going to want to interact with you.

They're going to pull away.

This is something we've talked about in some of our other videos.

Okay, so be connection focused, not relationship focused.

And the fifth thing that might stop your ext actually wanting to text you back is that

you simply aren't calibrated to where they're at emotionally.

Now, it should be pretty obvious, but everybody has an emotional sort of thermometer that

goes up and down throughout the day.

You know, sometimes you're feeling great, sometimes you're feeling okay, sometimes you're

feeling kind of Whoa, whoa.

And it often depends on maybe what's happening outside of you.

Maybe the thoughts that are having that you're having in your mind or other sorts of experiences

that you have throughout the day.

And this is what kind of changes throughout the days, your emotional temperature.

And the same is true with your ex.

And if you aren't really meeting your ex where their emotional temperature is, that they're

going to think there's a great deal of disconnect.

You know, maybe your ex is down here feeling really lousy cause they're heartbroken over

the breakup.

And maybe you're coming up here trying to pretend to be happy and excited all the time.

And if you're like, hey, life is great.

I love everything.

What's the best thing that happened to you today?

And they're like down here.

And they're like, man, screw you.

We have nothing in common.

I don't want to interact with you.

You know, that's, that's, that's going to really screw things up in terms of making

them want to respond to you.

So the important thing to do is to start to calibrate to where your ex is at emotionally.

So it's important to start by sending them a small message and kind of see what their

responses, and based off of that response, you can start to understand and start to put

together a picture about where their emotional state might be.

So have a small investment and then meet that investment, with whatever they get back.

And then you can kind of start to build a sort of picture about where they might be

emotionally based off of that response through the back and forth of the dialogue.

And so you can kind of say, okay, I'm here, I'm going to text them, and they're over here.

Okay, they're down here.

Maybe I'll drop it down a little bit.

And then it seems like, oh, actually they're up here, so I'll raise it up a little.

And then you'll kind of start to zero in on exactly where they are.

Right?

And that's really the secret to calibrating toy your ex's out.

And emotionally.

Now, of course, like I told you before, all of these things that we've just gone over

are within the context of being able to create good positive emotional interactions with

your ex.

These aren't, you know, copy and paste.

Turn your brain off and just send out some script advice to help you get your ex back.

You have to actually be able to feel into the moment so the, your ex knows that they're

getting back together with you.

Not with me, because I did some sort of Cyrano de Bergerac kind of move with you or anything

like that.

But it has to be you because this is your relationship.

This is not my relationship with your ex.

This is your relationship.

So you need to know your ex better than anyone else.

You need to be able to feel into the interactions and you need to be able to know better than

me or any strange person on the Internet.

What the right thing to say to your ex is.

Okay.

And so if you want to be able to feel into the moment and really be able to handle situations

DIY-Dip Irrigation using jute string in Tamil with English subtitles - Duration: 5:14.

Hi guys I am Monicka

Today we are going to see about dip irrigation

Dip irrigation may be needed

during vacation and no one is there to water your balcony plants

as an alternative

It is very simple to do

We went ten days on vacation

and we have no help during that time

we used this method

after ten days the plants look fresh and healthy

for this you need three basic materials

narrow mouth plastic bottles, one for each pot

jute string and water

Lets we see the procedure

Before seeing the procedure I will show the plants we have in our balcony

These are the plants we have

For all these we going to do dip irrigation

Take a bottle full of water

jute string

Immerse the one end of the string into the bottle well enough to reach the bottom

Gently dip the other end of the string in the soil near the root

Be careful not to disturb the root

Immerse the excess string into the bottle

make sure the string not to touch the sides of the bottle it will leads to loss of water

string absorb the water and transfer to the soil by capillary action

you can see the movement of water through the string

water travel up-to half the string

Repeating the same for another plant

we used 2.5 liter water bottle

so we used it for two plants

we finished for two plants

I show you the string and soil after 15 minutes

string is completely wet

you can see the difference of the wet and dry soil

this gives adequate water to the root

and prevents the plants from drying

due to shortage of bottles we used plastic pot

since the mouth of the pot is wide

water evaporation will be more

to avoid I stick the mouth with sellotape

leave some gap for the string

Always place the water bottle higher than the level of plant

it helps for easy movement of water

here the plant is lower than the water level

we did the same procedure for all the plants

after 10 days we came

still plants look fresh and healthy

Benefits of Paper Prototyping to save time and money (Part-2) - Duration: 4:01.

This video is in continuation to Paper Prototyping Part – 1, If you are watching this for the

But hey, for those of us meeting for the first time, my name is Priyanka & my passion here

is to share weekly Best UX-UI practices, strategy and design tips to help you boost your skills

and design thinking.

So, if you are new here consider subscribing to UX Knowledge and maybe you can share or

In the last video that is Benefits of Paper Prototyping to save time and money, I shared

a case study to solve.

Now let's look at the activity to see how to create a paper prototype from it.

So, this was the scenario: A retail customer who uses Airtel postpaid mobile connection

calls up the Airtel customer care.

He talks to an agent and explains that he is constantly getting an SMS that his bill

is overdue and services would be disconnected.

However, the customer has not received any bill from Airtel.

He is neither aware of the amount to be paid nor is he aware of the due date.

To create this trouble ticket, I used A4 size plain paper sheets, A Pen & Scissors.

Firstly, to write the summary of the issue (which is a one liner text and is a mandatory

field) the agent would require a text input.

So, here I am placing a text input.

Next, to add some description about the issue there has to be a text area as the detail

inside a text input will not suffice the purpose.

The text area is a multi-liner where an agent can enter as many characters as he wants to

describe the issue in detail.

So, this is my text area placeholder.

In the third step, he is required to select the type of issue from the predefined issue

types.

Since the list is long it's good to use a drop down here with issue types like Network

Issue, Bills Issue, KYC Forms etc.

So, by clicking the dropdown he can select a specific issue.

Next, he is required to capture the time of creating this trouble ticket which shall be

today's date.

So, I have used a Date -Time Picker.

When the agent taps on the date picker, he can select today's date and current time.

In the last step, he is supposed to click the Submit button so that the complaint gets

registered and upon clicking this button, the backend system will automatically send

a standard SMS to the customer regarding the trouble ticket number.

So, I've used a button which will open a popup for this activity.

Gary Martin, who shot five people to death and wounded multiple others in a mass shooting at an Aurora, Illinois manufacturing company, was a disgruntled former factory worker with a violent history whose family says had just lost his job.

ABC 7 reported through law enforcement sources that Martin "was told Friday he was being fired from the company where he had worked for about 15 years as an assembler" and opened fire with a gun during his termination meeting, continuing to shoot throughout the plant.

Martin's family told local reporters that he was laid off.

The suspect was killed by police at the scene.

The victims were not yet identified.

The news came right as a new debate over gun control was erupting because President Donald Trump announced a national emergency over the border wall (some Democrats had warned a Democratic president could use the same powers to institute gun control measures.

) The mass shooting in Aurora also came a day after the first anniversary of the mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

"To the families of the victims here in Aurora, there are no words… may the memory of those we lost today be a blessing," the governor of Illinois said in a news conference, praising the "brave law enforcement officers who continue to run toward danger.

The gunman's mother spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times and described Gary Martin as "stressed out" before the mass shooting.

"He was way too stressed out," she said, according to the newspaper, confirming her son was dead.

His mother, Felicia Martin, told WGN-TV: "My heart goes out to all the victims and their families.

"Quiet.

Keeps to himself," said Jennifer White, who lived nearby, of the gunman.

"He kept to himself. Normal guy.

He was pretty nice.

It was a surprise." She said he lived alone and was "always by himself…which is kinda weird." The shooter lived at Acorn Woods Condominiums in Aurora.

The Aurora police chief, Kristen Ziman, named the gunman as Martin, 45, and said that police received multiple calls for an active shooter around 1:24 p.m.

from what she described as a "manufacturing warehouse.".

Chief Ziman said responding officers were "fired upon immediately.

Two of the initial four officers entering the building were shot." Other responding officers were also then shot.

She said five officers were shot.

Officers on the scene then located victims inside the building, she said, finding five people deceased.

In addition, a sixth officer suffered a knee injury.

"The shooter is identified as Gary Martin.

He is a 45-year-old man and we believe he was an employee of the company.

At this time we aren't sure of the motive of this act of violence," said the police chief.

She added, to the officers wounded, "Thank you for your selfless act.

Thank you for running towards gunfire and putting your lives in danger to protect those inside the business.

My heart goes out to victims and their families who simply went to work today like any other day.

We offer our sincere condolences, and, as the facts of this tragedy unfold, we will provide information and attempt to make sense of it.".

The injured officers were all in stable condition.

The conditions of other people wounded were not known.

"We have an active shooter incident at 641 Archer Av.

This is an active scene.

Please avoid the area," Aurora police wrote early on.

Police later wrote, "Active Shooter Incident has been secured.

Shooter is no longer a threat to the area.

Continued police presence will remain as investigation continues.

Parents please contact your local school districts for dismissal plan.".

Gary Martin Worked as a Valve Assembler at the Plant & Once Stabbed a Woman in Mississippi.

The shooting broke out at the Henry Pratt Company, a manufacturing firm, at 401 S.

Highland.

According to Daily Beast, the plant is located in a 29,000-square foot building.

The company is a valve manufacturer.

The Chicago Tribune says it was founded in 1901, makes valves, and has plants in two other states.

According to a LinkedIn page, Gary Martin worked as a "large valve assembler at Henry Pratt.

" One person endorsed Martin for the skills of engineering and manufacturing on his LinkedIn page.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Gary Martin had a serious violent criminal history in Mississippi, where he was convicted for stabbing a woman.

In Illinois, his offenses were more minor, including illegally altering car speakers and squealing his tires, the Sun Times reported.

He was also sued by a landlord.

ABC 7's Mark Rivera also confirmed, "Police are now at gunman Gary Martin's apartment.

Martin has violent past.

1995 conviction for aggravated felony assault in Mississippi.".

The Shooter Carried a Pistol With Laser Sight & Fired Indiscriminately, According to a Witness.

John Probst told ABC 7 the gunman was a co-worker carrying a pistol with laser sight.

He told the television station the gunman fired indiscriminately at people.

"One of the guys was up in the office, he said this person was shootin', and, he come running down and he was bleeding pretty bad, and the next thing you know he was walking back and forth, I heard more shots, and we just left the building," Probst said to ABC 7.

"What I saw was the guy running down the aisle with a pistol with a laser on it," he said, according to the LA Times.

The Aurora, Colorado police wrote on Twitter, "THE #ACTIVESHOOTER IS IN AURORA ILLINOIS, NOT IN OUR AURORA COLORADO.

We hope everyone will be okay, and the situation is resolved quickly for all involved.

the City of Aurora, Illinois announced an "EMERGENCY UPDATE.".

"THE SHOOTER HAS BEEN APPREHENDED! The area is still on lock down!" the city wrote.

"He seemed like a nice person," a woman who knew the gunman named Jaclyn White told the news media.

Chelsie Leroy is a Missouri drama teacher charged with statutory rape after having sex with a 16-year-old student in a high school theater, The Springfield News-Leader reports.

Leroy, 23, was charged with two counts of second-degree statutory rape and two counts of sexual contact with a student by a teacher.

The Southwest High School student told investigators that he had sex with Leroy on two different days.

She had only been employed by the school district for 95 days.

A feature story on Leroy published in the Barry County Advertiser just a week before her employment was terminated by the school said she was hand-picked to take over the school's theater program.

Here's what you need to know:.

Chelsie Leroy is Accused of Having Sex With 16-Year-Old Student in School Theater.

According to charging documents, the 16-year-old Southwest High School student told Barry County Sheriff's Detective Andeola Cole that Leroy texted him just "two to three weeks after the first day of school," The Springfield News-Leader reported.

The student said that about a week later he and Leroy kissed.

A week after that, the two kissed again and had a sexual encounter in the "little theater" room at the high school.

The student told the detective that he had sex with Leroy a second time in the same room a week later.

Leroy Was Charged With Two Counts of Statutory Rape.

Leroy, 23, was charged with two counts of second-degree statutory rape and two counts of sexual contact with a student by a teacher.

If convicted, Leroy faces seven years in prison for each statutory rape charge and four years in prison for each sexual contact with a student charge.

A warrant for Leroy's arrest was issued on February 8 but as of February 15 she had not been arrested or booked.

Leroy is expected to appear in court on February 20.

Leroy Has Been Employed by The School For Just 3 Months.

Leroy had been employed by the school for just 95 days before her arrest, The Springfield News-Leader reported.

Court documents referred to Leroy as a "substitute teacher with extra duties as a drama teacher.

School District Superintendent Tosha Tilford told the News-Leader that Leroy was employed from August 6 to December 20 as a substitute teacher at a pay rate of $90 per day.

Leroy obtained a substitute certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year.

Leroy Was Profiled in a Local Newspaper Just 1 Week Before Her Teaching Job Was Terminated.

A profile in the Barry County Advertiser published on December 12 revealed that Leroy had been handpicked to become the new director of the Southwest Little Theater with a production of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" kicking off on December 14.

The profile said Barry began studying at Crowder College before transferring to Missouri Southern State University.

She was expected to graduate by May 2019, according to the report.

"This is technically still my student teaching," Leroy told the outlet.

"Through that, I've had to be observed by my university as well as my cooperating teacher.".

Leroy Said 'Parents and Students Worried' About Her Taking the Job.

Leroy told The Barry County Advertiser that she faced resistance after longtime drama teacher Wyatt Hester asked her to apply for the position.

"There were parents and students worried," Leroy told the outlet.

"I had students that wanted to drop the class when they found out that Mr Hester wasn't going to be returning.".

"Thankfully, once the year got started, everyone saw that I was continuing the work Mr Hester had been doing," she added.

@POTUS @realDonaldTrump is attempting to circumvent our constitutional system.".

Amash later tweeted out a thread laying out his case that the president had acted incorrectly.

Amash argued that, while the president of the United States does have the right to declare a national emergency, he may only do so in cases where Congress has had no opportunity to act.

Amash stressed that declaring a state of emergency should be for extreme cases, like attacks on the nation.

He wrote:.

"Going back to the Framers of the Constitution, Americans have recognized the president's inherent power as chief executive to act swiftly in an emergency, especially a sudden attack on the United States.

But such power exists only so long as Congress has no opportunity to act.".

Amash Won Praise from Democrats After His Thread on National Emergencies.

Amash's colleagues from the other side of the aisle took to Twitter to praise the Michigan Congressman for his series of tweets.

Representative Pramila Jayapaul, of Washington State, wrote, "If only all Republicans understood the Constitution like @justinamash." And Representative Ted Lieu, of California, wrote, "This is another example of why Rep @JustinAmash is my favorite #GOP Member of Congress.

This is the perfect time to think about:

What you want to do and where you want to go for vacation.

One of the things that this holidays series is going to do is

we're going to talk about spending your holiday at home.

Well in the Americas we

are calling these staycations but the only way that you can do a successful

staycation or holiday stay holiday mm-hmm okay

Stall-a-day

I don't know we'll have to work on that one way that you can do

this figure out what it is that you want to do

If you think about where you'd

really want to go for your vacation okay that's cool where do you really want to go?

Nice.

Why do you want to go there?

Wait, you're not sure why you want to go there

Then why do you... I'm sort of confused here

This is what this one is really important.

We need to know where you want to go, why you want to go there and what

you want to do there.

Because that's going to change how we form our

staycation or how we form our holiday at home simply because once we know what

you want to do and why you want to do it I can help you I can help you with that.

But you need to know why it is you want to do this. Now there are some things you

cannot do with the staycation, well not really easily. If you like to if your

vacation is all about going someplace and writing amusement rides...

Oh that's going to be a problem

That's going to be an actual problem because it's hard

to do amusement rides at home

However if you have other ideas that you want to do

we might be able to come up with some ideas. Although we might be able to come

up with some ideas for amusement rides but just not right now that I can think of.

I will work on this one but the first step in listen this is where I really

want you to do right now think of where to go why you want to go there and what

you're going to do.

From that we can probably come up with a fairly close

plan to help you have the best holiday the best staycation that you could you could possibly have.

This is one of those great times where if you are if you have a

partner you have a spouse a family going to Pinterest and pinning a whole bunch

of things for your staycation of things that you want to do what vacations mean to you.

That sort of thing anything what screams vacation to you that's what you

do right now

Pin it.

Have it there ready so that you can look at this and you can

figure out what we're going to do.

But I can't help you with that until we actually know what you're going to do

I know what I want to do for my staycation

this year and you'll see more of that coming up coming up later on in this

series but step one is:

Decide, like I've said, and I've said this three times

it's almost like it's fairly important

What you where you want to go,

what you want to do

and why you want to do that.
