Welcome to Kaisho's Kitchen

Today we're making sweet potato pancakes

They're huge. Stop lowering! Stop lowering! Stop lowering!!

This is Kaisho's Kitchen!

We're gonna steam the potatoes under medium-low heat.

We're gonna steam them until they become soft.

Check this out!

Right here. In the pan.

It's sweet potato syrup. You can use that as your syrup too.

It's just sweet potatoes and a little bit of water. That's it!

Super simple! And super easy and yummy.

Now I'm gonna peel the potato and it's easier to cut it in half.

I had to get a bigger knife.

We only used one potato because it's so big!

Two would make like... This many!

And that would make like this many!

So we don't want this many we want...

This many or this many or this many or this many or this many.

Because, I'm cooking pancakes for my family.

Now we're gonna put seven eggs in the blender. First, crack them.

laughs...

That was easy.

And no egg shells. I just hit it and split.

There we go.

Now, I'm gonna pour this coconut milk into the blender

Now, I'm gonna blend it until it's nice and smooth.

I forgot to plug it in. (laughs)

I think it's done.

Now, let's make some pancakes.

Now, I'm gonna pour some pancakes on medium-low heat, make them in the pan but first i'll put some coconut oil.

Now, I'm gonna pour some pancakes.

Cool.

We'll flip it once the edges get brown.

Now, I'm gonna flip the pancake.

Scripple scripple scripple scrip scrip

sigh, giggle

MY first one turned out and broke.

Let's try another one.

Now, I'm gonna flip a pancake.

This side doesn't need to be cooked to long.

I'm talking about the syrups now.

And this syrup is darker than that one.

And this one's really dark that you can't see much.

You can't see anything in it and

This one... Is lighter and orange if you see out of the back.

And this one is black.

And this is sweet potato syrup.

And this is maple syrup.

So.

Um uh.

Since we put water in it

The pan

Some, a little bit of juice came out of the potatoes.

And it mixed.

And made sweet potato syrup.

That's how it made it.

Now, I'm gonna pour the syrups on each half.

This one is gonna be sweet potato.

And this one is gonna be maple syrup.

(humming...)

(laughs)

Woopsees.

They're you go.

Now, I can eay my syrupy chyrup.

Get my syrupy chyrup

Yummy. Really yummy.

And this time I'm eating the sweet potato syrup one.

Yummy!

Now, I'll try this one. The syrup, the maple syrup.

Yummy.

And both is...

Very yummy!

I like both because...

The sweet potato has a very...

Textury texture

And the other one... Has really yummy texture.

Now, for the ultimate test!

Pour some... In the middle.

And that's how you make super healthy sweet potato pancakes.

Thanks for watching!

Don't forget to subscribe!!

Bye.

How to Disagree in English Politely—Speak Confident English - Duration: 7:42.

Hey,

it's Annemarie with Speak Confident English.

And I'm curious,

have you ever been listening to someone else talk...

Maybe it's a discussion your friends are having or you're in a business meeting

and the whole time that you're listening you're just thinking,

um,

no,

absolutely not because you totally disagree with the other person.

So when you disagree with someone,

what do you do?

What should you say in English to express your disagreement,

share your opinion,

but still be polite.

Of course you want to keep your friendships and business relationships intact.

But there are times in life where we totally disagree with someone and we

probably need to say something.

So in this lesson today,

I want to focus on three really simple strategies that you can use to disagree

with someone and share you own opinion,

but still be really polite about it.

All right.

So for today's lesson,

we're going to imagine that you're in a business meeting and you and your

colleagues are brainstorming,

having a discussion,

making some future plans,

and someone shares an opinion that you just totally disagree with.

Here is the first step to doing it.

Politely show that you understand the other person's opinion.

Let's be honest.

We all want people to listen to us and hear us when we feel like someone isn't

hearing what we're saying.

We get frustrated,

we get defensive and we try to explain it again and again.

So instead of having a really aggressive situation,

the best thing that you can do is show them that you heard them.

Show them that you understand and some great ways that we do that in English or

with phrases like,

I see what you're saying or I understand your perspective.

I can understand why you think that.

True,

that's a fair point.

There's some truth to what you're saying,

but now with all of those,

you've taken that first step to show that you understand.

Then in step number two,

we apologize before we disagree.

It's simply a polite way to introduce that disagreement.

Let me give you an example.

I see what you're saying,

but I'm sorry I have to disagree with you or I understand your point of view,

but I'm sorry to say I have a different opinion.

I understand why you think that,

but respectfully I have to disagree.

In all of those examples I start with step one showing that I understand their

opinion.

Then I use an apology to politely and smoothly transition into my disagreement.

Doing that can help keep the situation really calm and it can push away or avoid

some of those tense,

negative emotions that sometimes happen during disagreements.

Now in this lesson,

I've shared just a few examples with you,

but I have so many more and I've shared those with you in the online lesson.

So after you finish watching this video,

be sure to check those out.

Now,

before I move on to step three,

sometimes the situation is really delicate and we want to be very careful about

our disagreement.

So if you want to be extra,

extra,

extra polite,

you could also use this strategy of pretending that you're not really sure if

you disagree.

Here's what I mean.

Instead of saying something direct like,

I'm sorry,

I disagree with you,

or I'm sorry,

but I don't share that opinion.

We can use something that's a little bit more in the middle like I see what

you're saying,

but I'm not sure if I agree in that example.

Instead of being really direct with,

I don't agree with you,

it's more like,

uh,

I'm not sure.

It's a little less aggressive.

And then finally,

step three of how to disagree with someone politely is to always offer an

alternative solution.

If you truly want to be effective in arguing for your opinion or position,

the best way that you can do that is to offer support and a solution.

Doing this also helps to soften the disagreement after you've used the first two

steps with something like,

I see what you're saying,

but I'm not sure that I agree with you.

You can follow that with a sentence that will help you introduce your position

or opinion.

For example,

instead I think we should or my suggestion would be,

and finally from my point of view,

I'd recommend,

so here's how it might look put together.

I see what you're saying,

but I'm sorry.

I disagree.

I think that the outcome of this decision is going to affect everyone on the

team.

So I think it's best that we include everyone as we prepare to make this

decision.

In that example,

I included language to show that I understood the other person's position.

I apologized before introducing my disagreement and I offered a solution or

recommendation.

So now it's your turn to put this all together.

Before I share this week's challenge question with you,

if you like this lesson,

please be sure to let me know and there are three great ways for you to do that.

Number one,

give this video a thumbs up on YouTube and subscribe to this channel so you

don't miss any future lessons.

Number two,

share it with friends and colleagues on Facebook.

And finally,

if you know someone who could use some help knowing how to disagree with someone

in English,

So now I'm very curious.

My questions for you this week are one,

have you ever had a disagreement in English?

If you have,

how did you resolve it?

I'd love to know what steps you took and maybe you've got some great advice or

an expression that you used that could be helpful to someone else in the

confident English community.

And I'd love to have you share that and you can do that in the comments just

below and in situation number two,

you and your colleague are responsible for planning a team building event at

work.

But here's the problem.

There's one weekend that works best for your boss or it's the weekend that your

boss prefers.

But unfortunately that weekend,

several of your team members won't be there.

They have a conference to go to.

So what do you do?

Your coworker thinks you should stay with the weekend that your boss prefers,

but you think this is a team building activity.

We should have everyone there.

So you need to disagree with your colleague.

How could you do that?

Share your example with me in the comments below.

It's the best place to get feedback and learn from others in our community.

With that,

have a fantastic week.

Thank you so much for joining me and I look forward to seeing you next time for

your Confident English lesson.

Why your roast dinner could be killing you: Indoor pollution from cooking as bad as in city centres, - Duration: 1:34.

Families should boil rather than roast their Sunday lunch to avoid indoor pollution levels worse than the most toxic cities on Earth, scientists have said

New research is showing that preparing the traditional meal with the windows shut gives readings up to 13 times worse than in central London on a congested day

The world's largest gathering of scientists heard that pollutants from roasting include PM2

5 particulates, which are particularly harmful because they are small enough to embed deep into the lungs and, in some cases, even enter the bloodstream

Experiments during Thanksgiving in the US found that cooking a full roast turkey dinner pushed readings to peak levels of 200 micrograms per

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explains why Alexis Sanchez's Man Utd form is like ketchup - Duration: 3:16.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Alexis Sanchez's goals for Manchester United will flow like ketchup once he builds up his confidence in front of goal

Sanchez, 30, has endured a difficult time at United since joining from Arsenal last January, scoring just five goals in 37 games for the club in all competitions

The Chile international has only started three of Solskjaer's dozen games in charge but is expected to be in the team to face Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday night with both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard ruled out through injury

Sanchez did score in the previous round of the competition against his former club Arsenal and Solskjaer thinks that like a bottle of ketchup, the goals will come pouring out of him once he finds the net again

Speaking ahead of the game with Chelsea, Solskjaer said: 'I think he's a very good player

He's very talented, but of course there's only so many things you can sit down and talk about and tweak

'If he could just get that goal I'm sure that would release his confidence. That's what it's about when you go through periods when you don't perform up to your standard because we know there is a very, very good player there

'It's one of those things. You get that bottle of ketchup when it never comes out – but when it suddenly comes there's loads

'  Solskjaer has managed to extract improved performances from a host of United players since replacing Jose Mourinho in December with the likes of Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof all making huge improvements under the Norwegian

He hasn't quite managed to have the same effect with Sanchez so far, though, with the Chilean providing an underwhelming performance off the bench in United's Champions League defeat to PSG last week

After that 2-0 loss at Old Trafford, Solskjaer suggested that there was nothing he could do to instigate a change in Sanchez's fortunes and challenged him to 'find himself' at the club

Solskjaer again laid down the gauntlet Sanchez to rediscover his form, saying: 'He's been here for a year

I've been here for two months with him and he's been injured for the first part of it

'It's unfair to just expect him to be at the top straight away. I'm sure we'll see the best of him before the end of the season

'We need every player to perform to the best level. We are challenging to be top four, challenging against very, very good teams

You need the players to step up now and you expect that at Manchester United at the end of the season

'

Rediscover Me Day 16 | What Pulls You? - Duration: 10:22.

good morning I'm getting later and later to coffee chat on the weekends I'm seven

minutes behind this morning but it's all good it's all good it's the weekend

right we get to cut ourselves some slack on the weekends so what this is our day

two discussion for our week of health and wellness and we're talking about

baby steps this week and how we're layering in a baby stuff each day to

help us to refocus on healthy living and wellness goals and yesterday I talked

about finding activity its sustaining activity in your life exercise and

finding something that you feel pulls you rather than something you're pushing

yourself to do so we talked about incorporating some activity into your

life and finding things that you loved like maybe you'd like to be outside in

nature and hiking is your thing you know carving out time to be able to do that

throughout the week or maybe you love dancing and that's something you used to

do when you were younger and you haven't really focused on this it could be

something as simple as turning on the radio find some music you love and just

dancing in your house maybe you love yoga but you don't get out to the studio

often enough there are tons of videos on YouTube that you can do yoga I do that

quite often I have a studio that I love I have an instructor that I love but

it's kind of far from my house so I'll just put on some yoga videos whenever I

feel like I need to do some stretching and some yoga or you know maybe you'd

love to walk your dogs and you'd like to get out and do that a few times a week

you definitely all of these things count as activity and I think the more that we

love what we're doing the easier it is to do it and I think that just honestly

again the biggest obstacle to activity is the mindset shift of doing it you

know just some things like putting on your workout clothes or powerful enough

like I have mine right now to get you into the mindset that you're gonna do it

just dedicating your area focusing I'm getting dressed and getting to the

gym even if I heard this trick many years ago and it's so true like promise

yourself that you're going to get to the gym and do at least 10 minutes of

exercise because I promise you that if you do that you're gonna want to do a

little bit more so really it's all about all of these tricks and you know getting

ourselves to focus on doing something for at least 20 minutes a day five days

a week one of the things that I love to do is I put my workouts in my calendar

but the thing that makes that super easy is that I do Orange Theory classes so

accountability is built in if you're if you are an Orange Theory enthusiast like

I am you know that you don't want to cancel that class because this there are

certain memberships where you can't cancel your class within eight hours or

you lose your class for the day so I love that they have that accountability

built in because if I at the last minute feel like I don't want to go then that's

the one thing that makes me say I'm gonna go and do it anyway so you know

find something that has a little bit of accountability and when I've talked

about this during week one we had some ladies comment and say I have a group of

friends and we go to the gym together and we hold each other accountable and I

think that's an excellent way to do it too Craig and I work out together so we

keep each other accountable for that and that is really really effective we don't

want to let each other down and we don't want to let ourselves down like if he

were to go and I work then I would feel bad and that's a good thing but yeah

this baby step is really about today I want you to think through some things

that you can add in to get a little bit more activity in your life and you know

we're talking about the baby steps again and I really want you to focus on

something that pulls you in instead of something that you feel like you're

pushing and it's funny because in the video that I did for this that I

recorded five years ago I was talking about running and how if somebody told

me I had to go out and run every day that I would never worked and third

doing Orange Theory for the past three years I now run in class so I want you

to also know that fitness and exercise is a journey and it's something that is

going to evolve throughout your life and maybe you

right three miles five years ago and today you're starting from a leisurely

stroll around your neighborhood it's okay it's okay to jump back in at any

time don't beat yourself up over where you used to be or where you are now your

fitness journey can last throughout your entire life and there's never a point in

time where you have to say I'm hanging this up I can't do this anymore it's too

hard I truly believe and I'm inspired by

women that I see that are still going strong with our workout routines and

working hard and doing what it takes and I just think that it's so much more

important as we age to continue to move because that's what's going to keep our

bodies and strong and functioning really really well as as we age so you know

think about it maybe the weather is a factor right now so what can you do to

overcome the weather on Monday it was cold out and I normally take the dogs

for a walk every single Monday and I didn't get to last Monday so I felt like

I was missing that activity that I normally get on that day so I took my

watch, I set it to indoor walk for 30 minutes and I walked around my house. I

know it sounds crazy Craig was looking at me like I was kind of weird but I

felt really good after that and I kept my heart rate up and I was able to do

that just by walking around the house and pumping my arms and I certainly

could have popped in a DVD or something like that to work out too but I think

it's just really about committing to yourself that you're gonna move for a

certain number of minutes or hours per week and that's another thing I like

about my healthy habits tracker I put my Orangetheory workouts in here but I have

a move goal I'm sorry I have a workout goal of three and a half hours per week

so I know that if I go to orange 33 times I'm going to get my three hours

and then if I do 30-minute walk once a week I'm gonna get my other half hour so

that's my minimum that I try to hit every single week and it really helps me

to stay accountable especially if I've Sunday rolls around and I see that I

didn't get all of my exercise in for the week then I do try to squeeze in just a

little bit more but set a goal for you that's realistic maybe your goal again

will be 20 minutes through times a week maybe you need to start out

with 10 minutes a day it's ok you need to just start somewhere and it doesn't

matter as long as you're getting up and you're getting some extra movement in

your day so I want you the challenge today is to find something that you love

something that's gonna pull you and make you excited about doing it not make you

dread it and start to rediscover fitness if this is something that you've been

neglecting or reset on your fitness journey it's not about the past it's not

about the future it's about what you can do right now so I want you to sit down

and think this through and it's you know the beginning of a week there's no

better time to focus on starting a new routine so maybe sit down and look at

your calendar I I sit down every Sunday and I do my calendar for the week ahead

I write everything on here that I have coming up and then I schedule my

workouts in on the calendar just to make them real to me so make an appointment

with yourself that you're going to take 20 minutes out of your lunch break and

focus on some activity and movement or that you're gonna go to the gym and take

a class or whatever this looks like for you but that is your homework for today

and I also wanted to remind you that if you're watching this on youtube I know

how did we get caught up on coffee chats for the week YouTube is a great way to

do that because you can watch them continuously be sure to subscribe when

you're over there because we are doing that fun giveaway we're gonna be givin

away some 2019 annual memberships to our YouTube subscribers so I'm excited about

that for the style challenge and the spring

style challenge is coming up on March 8th I'm so ready I wish that the weather

would cooperate I'm so ready for sunny days and warm weather and I know that I

shouldn't be complaining because we're in Texas and we'll get those soon enough

and a lot of you will not but I am so ready for spring and I find that it's

easier to work out when the weather's nicer is I don't know if that's just me

but I feel like I eat better like I make better food choices and I get outside

and workout more often and I just feel good I've done the sun's shining

but I love the thing that our trainers always remind us of as in Orangetheory

and they always say summer bodies are built in the winter it's so true but yes

that was a great time to start refocusing this we're not even into

March yeah and if you start your routine right now then you have a good three

months before summer actually hits and you can get a lot of results in just

three months so definitely commit to doing something this week and making

that happen all right let's hold each other

accountable so please pop by the private Rediscover Me group and let us know

what you're doing to get active this week I will see you guys back here

tomorrow morning and we'll be continuing our baby steps into health and wellness

beep see you later bye!

I hope that you have been enjoying my true erotic stories from my diary.

Yes, I do have a lot more, true stories to share with you, and, I'm actually working

on a very secret project relating to my future stories, but it's way too early to reveal

what that is.

In the meantime, I have a proposition for you.

Yes, a proposition.

I want you to take a journey with me, take a journey into a devious, mysterious, taboo,

world of sensual fiction.

A world that expands your mind beyond boundaries, beyond boundaries you never knew you had.

A world where you discover intimate thoughts and feelings you thought you were incapable

of.

Oh yhea, this is going to be so damn good.

I'm writing this lustful novel, just for you.

I've named this series as a tribute to the breathtaking, nail biting, lustful trilogy

that had us all as fans, glued to our books and movie screens.

Well fasten your seatbelts, or should I say, unfasten your seatbelts and get ready to live

life on the edge.

Welcome to Fifty Shades of Red.

Chapter 1 Part 2.

I rush down the stairs and to my front door, open it, and there's Ethan standing there.

He was wearing a tailored black tuxedo with a velvet bowtie.

His haircut was fresh and the fuzz from his facial hair that I saw earlier in the day

was gone.

He was clean shaven and looked like he had just stepped out of the GQ magazine.

"I knew the dress would fit you perfectly!"

Ethan said as his eyes slowly glided up and down my velvet body.

"Well, you know this is a bit out of my league Ethan."

I said with a frantic smile.

He replied, "Yes, I know, but it's more my league though."

As Ethan walks inside my place he looks down at his watch and says "Okay we have to get

going, We have to make a stop.

Grab your things honey and let's go."

As I'm gathering my purse and take one last look around to make sure I don't need to bring

anything else, I could hear Ethan on his cell phone.

"Valentina, that's why you're my number one.

I will be there shortly."

Ethan said in a low toned voice.

Ethan saw my surprised facial expression and realized that I overheard the last part of

his conversation.

"Valentina, who is that?

Is she coming with us?"

I said.

Ethan replied, "Come on, you will see soon enough."

Ethan and I get into his Porsche and drive off.

Now that I was in an enclosed environment, Ethan's cologne permeated my senses.

I had never noticed this cologne on him before.

It smelled exotic, fresh, crisp, and masculine all at the same time.

"You smell nice this evening."

I said.

He responded jokingly "Are you saying that I've smelled badly all the other times?"

"No, you know what I mean.

I've never smelled this scent on you before.

What's the name of your cologne?"

Ethan said a name that I dare not to repeat.

The word was so fancy that he lost me on the fourth syllable.

Ethan goes on to explain "I picked it up in Paris during one of my trips.

I hope to take you to the wonderful place of where I bought it from.

They also have unique feminine aromas that I think you would like."

Trying to hold back my ear-to-ear smile about the unofficial invite to Paris, I said "I'm

sure that would be an interesting outing."

"Speaking of wonderful places, here we are."

Ethan said.

We turned into what looked like a wooded area.

Pavement was the only thing that stood out in the area.

As we continued on the curvy road, I was a little surprised at the location.

Does Valentina live on a farm?

Finally, I could see patterns of bright lights ahead.

As we get closer it looks like a warehouse of some sort.

Ethan parks the car and says, "Come on, let's hurry, as we can only spend a very limited

amount of time inside."

Ethan must of read my facial expression!

"Relax, I will explain once we get inside."

We quickly walk up to the entrance and a lady greets us at the door.

"Hello Ethan, I have everything ready for you."

Valentina said.

Valentina looked like she was in her late 60s.

She was dressed very chic.

I could tell that she kept herself up.

She had such beautiful hair and gorgeous skin.

Her makeup was flawless, and her diamond earrings, necklace, and ring set looked breathtaking.

We walked inside and wow it certainly deceived what I thought it might be based on how I

judged the building from the outside.

This huge industrial like tucked away building was cozy and unique on the inside.

As we walked down the long hallway our paths were lit with both low lighting lamp fixtures,

and large lit candles.

The candles varied in color, from burgundy, to black, to beige.

The carpet was plush and grey in color.

With each step I took it felt like I was floating, s the bottom of my shoes felt lost in the

depth of the carpet.

There was a strong yet pleasant lavender scent that filled the air.

As my eyes wondered I thought wow, this more like a penthouse.

We walked by several closed iron doors on both sides of the hallway.

Ethan says, "So Valentina, what room will you have us in tonight?"

Valentina replied, "I thought the, Reflection Room would be most appropriate for Keeva."

Oh wow, she knew my name?

Ethan hadn't formerly introduced us at the door.

Everything seemed so rushed.

Obviously, Ethan had told Valentina about me but what the hell is the Reflection Room?

We approached several sets of elevators.

One elevator was completely transparent.

It had clear glass all the way around.

Another elevator was mirrored.

Mirrors surrounded all parts of the elevator.

Another elevator had iron bars.

It was dark and made of heavy iron.

Valentina swipes a card of some sort in front of the mirrored elevator, and the door opens.

Ethan gestures for me to enter the elevator first.

I walk in, Valentina and Ethan follow.

The doors closed slowly.

The elevator starts moving upwards.

I didn't even see Valentina press any buttons inside the elevator.

Wait, there aren't any buttons to press.

This is getting more interesting by the minute.

It's so quiet on the elevator ride that you could hear a pin drop.

I hadn't said a word, but I know more stoned face appearance said it all.

I normally would be talkative and inquisitive as this was my nature.

As an interior designer you have to talk to your client extensively to get a better feel

of their personality.

Often their personality was a reflection of their decor, a reflection of what they liked

and what gives them comfort.

As I stood in the elevator, I was at a loss for words.

I didn't know what to expect next?

The elevator finally stops.

The door opens.

In front of us is a large mirrored room.

Actually, I can't really tell how large the room truly is.

There are mirrors covering the floor, covering the ceiling, and covering the walls.

Ethan gestured for me to move forward off of the elevator, but I told him "Um, I don't

know which way to go?

Everything is running together."

After my comment, Ethan and Valentina looked each other and shared a warm laugh.

Valentina then looked at me and said, "Follow me dear."

She then stepped off the elevator and led the way.

The echoes of our shoes and Valentina's voice as she directed me to turn left or right was

intense.

The acoustics from the mirrors magnified every sound.

There was no carpet, no windows, no furniture, not even a painting on the wall.

As I followed Valentina's path, we start to approach a room that had high ceilings.

As I entered the room, the room seemed to expand.

It gave an illusion that it was growing larger and larger, as there were layers, and layers,

of high mirrored ceilings.

I had never seen anything like this before.

I thought of myself as a modern-day interior designer, but I'm in awe of what's in front

of me right now.

As we walk further into the room, there's a mirrored beauty island in the center.

From what I can see, its neatly filled with makeup and hair products.

Valentina says to me with a smile "Don't be shy my dear, have a seat in the chair."

I walk over to the beauty island and sit down into the cushioned leather chair.

Wow, this chair is so comfortable.

I think there's memory foam behind the leather.

Valentina says to Ethan "Okay Ethan, you can wait in the lounge, Keeva and I should be

no more than 20 minutes."

Ethan says okay and starts to walk away.

I yell "Ethan, wait, what is going on here?"

He replies, "Valentina will complete the finishing touches for your attire tonight.

See you in 20 minutes".

Paul Scholes reveals what has changed for him now he is managing Oldham - Duration: 3:04.

Paul Scholes has seen it all – and got the T-shirt. Except after moving into management he will have to change the wording

At Manchester United the players all received slogans to be ironed onto their casual tops

In deference to his no frills attitude, despite being one of the country's top performers, his was: 'Get up

Go To Work. Play the game. Get showered. Go home'.  But not any longer after taking on the mantle of Oldham Athletic manager

"You can't switch off. It's impossible to switch off," he said after analysing a 1-1 draw against Crewe in his second game in charge at Boundary Park

"You're thinking of the job 24 hours a day. You're thinking of teams, player formations, what you are going to say, what you're going to do

It takes over your life.  "Until you're in it you just don't know. As much as you don't want it to take over your life it will do

That's just how it is and so let's see how it goes."  But right now there is no way he would want to swap a League Two dugout for the BT Sports studio

"I've missed being involved on a Saturday afternoon and a Tuesday or Wednesday night," he added

"Now I am and I'm trying to affect things." Despite witnessing Crewe grab their equaliser deep into added time through George Ray there were no touchline tantrums from the Oldham boss

"Their goal was coming, we knew that, but there wasn't a lot we could do about it," Scholes said

"We tried to give the players instructions not to be caught running with the ball, not to give free-kicks away, because eventually you pay for it – and we did

"  Spring can't come soon enough for Scholes, who knows his side's ability to play the kind of attractive, easy-on-the-eye football which is in his DNA is very unlikely while the Boundary Park pitch remains threadbare

"It's virtually impossible to play football on it but I don't want to make that as an excuse," he said

"We still need to learn about game management, especially in the last 15 to 20 minutes

"  At least he enjoyed the Oldham goal, a long but cultured clearance from keeper Daniel Iversen which the alert Callum Lang chipped in over Ben Garratt

"I have a good group of players who know how to play football," he stated before preparing for Morecambe tomorrow night

What did that T-shirt once say?

✅ Breaking News - SIX THINGS YOU MISSED from the Champions League - Duration: 5:45.

Manchester United and Manchester City enjoyed contrasting fortunes on the final night of the Champions League group stages

City came past Hoffenheim thanks to a Leroy Sane double, while Phil Jones scored a calamitous own goal as United were beaten 2-1 in Valencia

If you were too busy to keep a close eye on the action, fear not. Sportsmail has picked out six things you may have missed from Wednesday night's matches

Share this article Share 1.4k shares   Backs to the wall  Forget dabbing, diving or Fortnite dances, there's a new fad in football - and one we can all get behind

Quite literally. On Wednesday night, CSKA Moscow's Georgi Shchennikov was the latest player to try and protect his goalkeeper by positioning himself behind the wall

The Russia defender had a little lie-down during the first-half as Real Madrid lined up a free-kick just outside the box

So when the wall jumped, he ensured Isco could not roll the ball into the net. He later scored the Russian side's second goal

A job well done.  Phil Jones, a man out on his own When Sir Alex Ferguson claimed Phil Jones could be the best Manchester United player of all time, few expected him to be proved right

Five years on, many more sit unconvinced. But the cynics doth protest too much, methinks

Particularly when faced with Rafa Benitez's favourite currency: FACTS.Okay, own goals are not the usual measuring stick for footballing greatness

But let's not get convention in the way of a good story. When he poked the ball past Sergio Romero on Wednesday, Jones became the first United player to score an own goal during a Champions League game since a certain P

Jones did so in 2011.He has also now scored two goals for United and two against them in the Champions League

His record in the Premier League? The very same.   Pyro (German) techno in Amsterdam Bayern Munich had little to play for when they visited Ajax in their final group game on Wednesday night

Both sides were already through, and only a defeat would have denied the German giants top spot in Group E

But that didn't stop the travelling contingent from making the most of their trip up the autobahn to Amsterdam

As the iconic Champions League anthem rang out at the Johan Cruyff Arena before kick-off, the small pocket of Bayern fans lit up the stadium with an incredible show of red and white flags and flashing lights

I've undersold it horrifically. So here it is for your viewing pleasure:     Russian record-setting Thanks to Shchennikov's lie-down and some sharp-shooting in front of goal, CSKA secured an incredible 3-0 victory at the Bernabeu in Group G

The result made no difference to the standings, with Real still heading through alongside Roma to the last 16

But the 3-0 defeat was nevertheless Madrid's biggest ever home loss in European competition

It was also the first time a team had beaten them home and away in the group stages since Juventus did the double over the Spanish giants in 2008

Salt meet wound. When you can't buy a goal, it's no great comfort to realise you've just sold one to Ajax

Unfortunately for Southampton, the effect of allowing Dusan Tadic to move to Amsterdam this summer is now painfully stark

The Serbia forward netted a brace as Ajax drew 3-3 with Bayern Munich at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday night

That took his tally for the season to 15, the same number Saints as a team have scored so far this campaign

Saved by the flag. As goes the old footballing adage: if you're a fringe player and you get a chance to stake your claim, you have to take it

With Manchester United trailing 1-0 in Valencia, the ball fell to £89million midfielder Paul Pogba midway towards the end of the first half

For the man who has been left on the bench in recent games, the goal stood gaping and the script written

This was Pogba's chance to bring United level and make some headlines for the right reasons

But when the ball came to him at pace about four yards out. he sliced it wide of the post

The only solace? Pogba was (wrongfully) ruled offside so the goal wouldn't have stood anyway

More key Xiaomi Mi 9 specs leaked by the company, including screen to body ratio - Duration: 2:20.

Just yesterday, we told you that Xiaomi executives and both co-founders have been leaking information about the Xiaomi Mi 9

The company's new flagship phone is expected to be introduced on February 20th. Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed some more specs about the Mi 9

Perhaps the most interesting is that the handset's screen-to-body ratio will be 90

7%. To put that number is perspective, the screen-to-body ratio on the Mi 8 is 83

66%, and measures 84.29% on the Apple iPhone XS Max. The higher the number, the more real estate on the front of the phone is taken up by the display

The executive also reveals that the Gorilla Glass 6 protected 6.4-inch AMOLED display found on the Mi 9 is produced by Samsung

The resolution of the display is 1080 x 2220 (FHD+) and offers up to 600 nits of brightness

Again, as a comparison, that matches the brightness of the display on the Mi 8. The iPhone XS Max peaks at 625 nits

The screen also offers special optimizations for game mode and night mode. Xiaomi's CEO posts information about the display on the Mi 9Speaking of the display, Lei notes that the Mi 9 display will look better under strong sunlight thanks to its second-generation "sun screen" that promises better color reproduction and makes the screen bright enough to view

Lastly, the executive posted a photo showing that the Mi 9 will feature the latest in-display fingerprint scanner that is 25% faster than the previous generation

The rest of the specs includes a Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform under the hood, with a triple camera setup (48MP primary + 12MP telephoto + 16MP ultra-wide angle) in back

While no one from Xiaomi has leaked the possible configurations that the Mi 9 will be offered with, we could see a 6GB/128GB variant and an 8GB/256GB unit

The Mi 9 Explorer Edition will feature a transparent back and could offer 10GB RAM with 512GB of storage
