How to Make Potting Soil Mix Your Seedlings Will Root For! - Duration: 3:43.

hey guys what's up my name is Lucas and today I'm gonna show you how to make the

best potting soil for your seedlings it's super simple super easy so come on

let's get started

first you need a container to hold your potting soil a taupe box works well for

this if you have cats I would recommend using a lid as it will likely be

mistaken for a kitty litter box unfortunately I know this from personal

experience once you have your container it's mixing time I'm using Chrome

explorer Ganic moisture mix last year I use the different bag but this year I

couldn't find the same one the brand it doesn't really matter it's the

ingredients that count I recommend a bag that contains peat moss and perlite this

is key to good drainage which will prevent your seedlings from rotting I

strongly recommend a bag that advertises moisture control this will help regulate

moisture and prevent over and under watering a common mistake when growing

seedlings as long as the potting mix looks dark and is nice and fluffy you

should be good to go I always mix two different bags of potting mix together

this way if one of the bags is not that great the other one can compensate for

it this one is Miracle Grow moisture control potting mix but like I said

before the brand doesn't really matter as long as it's lightweight and contains

a peat moss and perlite next I recommend adding some perlite this is an amorphous

volcanic glass that has a relatively high water content it increases drainage

which will reduce the risk of damping off or stunted ceiling growth I know the

bags of potting soil I added already contained perlite but I like to add more

to maximize your image half a bag for this amount of potting soil is ideal

finally I add about 1/3 of a bag of vermiculite vermiculite is a hydrous

phyllosilicate mineral that like perlite increases aeration and drainage in

potting mixes you do not have to add vermiculite but I would recommend it if

you do wear a mask or put a damp cloth over your nose and mouth to prevent

inhalation of vermiculite dust finally mix all the ingredients together you

should wear a mask to prevent inhalation of particulates I'm not wearing a mask

here which is a big mistake

now you're finished congratulations with your extra deluxe potting mix prepared

you are now ready to start sowing seeds I will be doing detailed series on how

Hey guys, it's Melissa here from

melissa shares and welcome to my channel or welcome back today I finished a

project and I completed a set of curtains for our kitchen windows which

has been on my to-do list for a long time but hasn't gotten done until today

so I wanted to just take this quick opportunity to one share my excitement

with you and two share this thought with you because I know that things like this

like a custom curtain are very expensive to pay to have done and so for this

particular project I know that I saved literally hundreds of dollars that would

have been charged to me to sew three straight lines across each curtain

curtains are a wonderful starter project if you are new to sewing and want to DIY

something that has big visual impact in your home while also saving yourself a

ton of money and getting a custom look we have a lot of lattice going on in our

yard with our fencing so this lattice pattern was especially beautiful and

goes with our green banquette here I got together with my neighbor I will say

that projects like this where you're using a large run of fabric and the

cutting needs to be precise, measured, straight, lots of pinning involved -- it was

a lot more fun to do it with a neighbor's help and I actually even though I set up

my sewing station here she took one look at it and said this isn't gonna work out

and we went over to her house and used her old sewing machine that was a real

blast to try and use so sewing a project like this is more fun with friends I

also just wanted to take you through a few other suggested starter projects

that are both money-saving and really special so I have a couple of things I

wanted to share with you don't mind the baby here alright so here are just a

couple other examples of things that I do sew myself here is a set of cloth

napkins they're really fun they're Ballerina pattern napkins I do these for

my own children but I also will sometimes do a set like these to give as

a birthday gift to a school-aged child in our school we try to pack a

waste-free lunch and so I don't pack disposable napkins so napkins are just

literally two squares sewn together they're really easy here are the cloth

bibs they're kind of worn and very used at this point but I have a whole

wardrobe of bibs that are backed in terry cloth with fun patterns and a snap

and i can list the pattern for these down below this video because this is a

fabulous bib pattern and i get so many compliments and i've made literally

dozens and dozens of bibs for neighbors and friends and other babies in our

world and my last suggested and really wonderful starter project are fitted

sheets i originally made fitted sheets for our cradle which was an obscure

mattress size so i had to make my own but the beauty of a fitted sheet and

i've made larger crib sheets for our crib is that whatever you're stitching

is it's like making a giant shower cap and your stitches are hidden much like a

valance or curtain like these where it's high up and no one's gonna look at your

stitches or be checking to make sure that you did everything precisely these

are really forgiving projects i'm gonna list the crib sheet or fitted sheet

pattern down below as well as these amazing bibs but basically i'm just so

excited that i got something done on my to-do list i saved a bunch of money and

it has that custom look that we really value in our family and i wanted to

share that with you because we spend a lot of time here in our kitchen so it's

nice to have it look nice thanks so much for joining me today i'd love to know if

generation so it's a little weird that i do it but i love doing these kinds of

projects with my mom or a neighbor or a friend it makes the time go faster and i

Filmora Intro Effects | Make Your Intros POP with Filmora 9! - Duration: 2:53.

Intros can be a super cool thing to have in your videos and you can make a

lot of different types in Filmora... like this!

Hit the subscribe button and click the notification bell to be part of the conversation.

We're going to use a few tricks today that I haven't talked a lot about before.

The first thing we need to do is create the text graphic that we

want to use for our intro

For this one, I made it all about me.

Like I don't do that every week, right?

So I spelled out my name.

but you can use any words or font or even text motion

available in Filmora 9

That you want to use for your intro to make it exactly the way you want yours to look

The only thing you have to do, is to make sure that you create white letters on a black background.

Got it? White letters black background

Next, we want to bounce this footage

Bouncing is something I'll talk about more in the future

But all that means is taking the tracks you're currently working with

exporting them

at a high resolution and bringing that footage back into Filmora

Once we our bounced text footage back into Filmora you'll need to find yourself

some other footage that you think looks really cool.

This totally reminds me of my old stomping grounds in Boston, Massachusetts

so I went with this one

Next, bring the footage you think is cool down into the main timelin

Then, bring the bounced text footage into the track above it

Now here's where the magic happens

Click on the bounced text footage and in the upper left click

on "compositing"

In the blending mode drop-down, choose either Darken or Multiply

Both will work for this effect

I happen to like multiply because it's a

bit more crisp around the edges

the minute you activate it you'll

instantly see that your background image now shows through the white letters of your text.

How cool is that?

But to really make your intro pop,

Go to your background track and use Filmora's color adjustment tools

To really push them over the edge

For my intro, I really pumped up the orange and red colors

and I also added audio effects to make the entire thing seem more powerful

I zoomed in for a couple of frames and then I added the free suspense impact sound effect

Which is available from the Halloween sounds pack in the Filmora library

to give my intro that extra bang for its buck I've mentioned this before

I've mentioned this before, but there are a ton of free effects

that you can download from Filmora right now

and I'll put a link in the upper right hand corner in the description below

to show you how to find them.

I put all of these very simple elements together and...

journey challenge I am so glad that you're hanging out here with me today my

name is Timesha and I'm here to help you a person who is

stuck in their job ready to get out looking for ways to get out of there 9

to 5 grind rat-race job and get into some financial freedom some time freedom

some freedom period okay you're tired of the change you're ready to break them

off and I'm here to help you do that okay so we have been talking about a

system a business model that has been amazing to me and I know work well for

you and it's called affiliate marketing and I've been going through step-by-step

how to build an effective successful affiliate marketing business so today

we're going to end the choosing your niche series with research tools well

this is the last one dealing with research tools I'll put it that way okay

and the last research tool we're going to talk about is keywords any keywords

everywhere it's a wonderful tool it's free and I love the word free I'm sure

you love the word free so let's go switch to my next screen so you can find

out more information about it about it

but anyway be that as it may the last tip that I want to talk to you about is

called keywords everywhere so if you do not know about this tip this is an

awesome one what you want to do is basically it's free free to download you

just click on you type in keywords everywhere and for Chrome or whatever

your internet browser is and then you just click this and go ahead and

download it and what it does and I don't know if you have noticed all of this

over here on the right side of the web page but it gives you

all of the keywords basically that relate to the keyword that you put into

the search engine and how much their cost per click is and basically you know

all that that's all that information and basically we don't really need that

information unless you are going to you know promote your abre your affiliate

link through Google Adwords or whatever so you don't need to really worry about

it what I worry about is the volume how many people and these are how many

people per month are searching for well this is keywords any everywhere and

that's 27,000 people a month are searching for keywords everywhere okay

so that is an amazing tool if people are searching for it you don't know for sure

if they're buying anything but if they have a high enough search and you give

enough content eventually they may buy so if I type in like I had dog treats in

here before there's 40,000 people a month searching for dog treats okay

dog training a hundred and sixty five thousand people and I am in that number

that is searching for dog training okay so these are highly searched keywords

and you want to you want to use them but you 165 thousand people that's a lot of

people and yes you want to get people it's coming to you from dog training

that it get some of that but unless you are a high marketer and I don't know

looks from looks of this you know Google doesn't have anybody advertising for

don't training but one person but you know you want to narrow down your niche

seeing that you're an affiliate marketer and you don't want to compete with the

highest top-selling affiliates or else you won't get any traffic and so the

idea is to get traffic so to do that and what keywords

everywhere will do and you can do this one YouTube as long as you have keywords

petting everywhere it will pop up so you can type in a and you can get all of the

information and what I've been told is if you had at least between ten thousand

to two hundred people that is a good market in which to go ahead and target

your uh your target your market to so job training at home would be a good one

dog training and boarding a dog training academy is very good now training aids

all of these would be good things to market and to give content about okay

because you can get eight hundred and eighty people coming to your website if

you talk about different dog training academies if you start a website and I'm

getting goosebumps cuz I'm getting excited if you start a website about dog

training and then you lay out all the different places that do dog training

may be in your area maybe across the country or maybe like online or

something and you give all of that information you talk about the prices

you talk about you know the pros and cons of each and you put in a good golf

post and then you give them your affiliate link to some dog training you

don't think people will buy yes they will they will buy it up and that is how

you have to think like an affiliate marketer okay

the owl training books thirty six hundred people are looking for dog

training books you know how many books that you can be selling on your website

that you can be advertising on your YouTube channel I mean this stuff is

going people I want you to take advantage of it alright let's go get

this money alright I think I think I got too excited all right so let's let's

let's let's get off of here so those are my five my five techniques

and how you can research if there are customers that are actually buying in

your niche okay obviously dog training is a good niche

okay so but neither here nor there whatever your niche is whatever you're

interested is make sure that you take action you've done the first part you

found out about shoe now do the second part find out about

your customers find out which one of those niches that not only that you like

but will give you the most bang for your buck that will give you the most

targeted keywords that you can actually market to people and get good money off

I received a mail from YouTube telling me that I was doing something wrong on my channel ..

I'm not someone who give up like this

and I made one appeal after that I realized I didn't make the right appeal

so I made another one while I was going to Milan today, I had to travel for a job

..and what happened was that only right now from this morning at 9 o'clock

till yet that is 10 o'clock PM I was very very upset (in despair) because I never thought that

someone could do something like this

I think it wasn't YouTube to create me troubles but

it wasn't YouTube's fault but someone report my channel falsely

something against my channel something that I don't remember how the same English right now 🤨 FAKE REPORTS!

anyway I want to thank some of you that contact me privately and helped

me going through this day but anyway I will explain you better in another video

For Terra Pinkard, the nightmare began with an ominous text from her husband: I love you, Ive been shot at work.

Pinkard would soon learn that her husband, Josh Pinkard, was among the five people killed when a co worker who was being terminated from Henry Pratt Co. opened fire. Pinkard, 37, was the manager of the plant, where water valves are made.

In a Facebook message posted on Sunday, Terra Pinkard said it took her several times reading it for it to hit me that it was real.

Then, she wrote, she started calling his phone. She texted and FaceTimed him — and got no response. She reached someone at the plant who told her she was barricaded in her room with police everywhere.

Of course my heart dropped, Pinkard wrote. Then she said she loaded the couples three children into her car and drove toward the plant, but was stopped by an officer stationed at one of the closed streets, who could not provide any information.

So then she drove to two local hospitals but still could not get any news of her husband.

While waiting at the second hospital for news, chaplains, my pastor, neighbors, his coworkers, came to sit with me and hold my hand, she wrote. Hours later, an officer told her of a staging area for victims families. I dont know how my body drove itself there but it did, Pinkard wrote.

There, another officer read a list of fatalities; her husbands name was on it.

I immediately left and went to get my kids, she wrote. Out of state family members were still on flights into the Chicago area — Josh Pinkard hailed from the small town of Holly Pond, Ala., though his immediate family now lives in Oswego — so Terra Pinkard said her pastor supported her as she broke the news to her children.

I told my children that their dad did not make it and is in heaven with Jesus, she wrote. Ive never had to do something that hard.

Josh Pinkard had worked for Mueller Water Products, Pratts parent company, for at least a dozen years and started working in Aurora last April, according to his LinkedIn page. Loved ones say he was devoted to his wife and children and was a fan of sports teams from Mississippi State University, where he earned his bachelors degree.

I want to shout from the rooftops about how amazing Josh was! his wife wrote in a Facebook post Sunday. He was brilliant! The smartest person Ive ever met! My best friend! The man I would have leaned on during devastation like this who would tell me its ok Terra, it is all going to be fine. The man who was dying and found the clarity of mind for just a second to send me one last text to let me know he would always love me. This unbelievable person was robbed from us.

Today I want to talk about the importance of not

using creativity as an excuse for being disorganized

You know I often hear people in the creative space talking

about how messy and disorganized they are

and that was me until you know quite recently.

But it's no excuse to be creative to be disorganized.

The more chaotic your life is, does not make you

more efficient in fact the opposite happens.

And what I want to kind of really bring to your attention is that I

used to think that I had this excuse for being creative

that's why everything was always a mess.

But an actual fact the more organized you are the more clear

you are about where you're going and what you're doing, the more space you

create in your brain to actually be creative.

So don't use creativity as an excuse to not be organized.
