oh hey Loves welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be a tutorial

on this really cute hairstyle I use the braids less crochet method and I hope

you guys really enjoy it and don't forget to click the subscribe button down below

and without further ado let's get right into the video

all you need to do at this point is to rap your marley hair over the perm rods just for you to get your curls

so currently I'll be soaking the hair into a boiling water like really hot one just

so you will be e able to get those curls and as you can see the hair is currently like done

cooking and all that stuff and so I will leave it to dry for about 5-10 minutes and then I will start unraveling it

so now you grab a crochet hook and

the hair, you grab your hair pass it through your natural hair and you only need to knot this once

just once and it's not going anywhere and please make sure your bun like the little

natural hair bun is as small as possible just so you avoid it showing up

so, I am currently done putting all the hair extensions and then I will start splitting the hair apart

not like splitting into two, NO just to make it more fluffy and just add some

more quantity to the whole things and that's basically all I kept doing and then, I added

some bobby pins just to secure everything in place and I use my scissors to

trim the ones that seems out of place and longer and all that stuff and that's

A couple of months back we put live a number of Named Servers for select community groups.

This makes it a much bigger task, but will be much better for you in the long run.

Sadly, we still don't have a solid time for when this will be as content is our number

one focus, however we're confident we'll see updates to the system this year.

This is why it is important to get tested for COPD if you are experiencing a chronic cough.

Take notice if you have a cough that won't seem to go away.

2. Increased mucus.

The second common sign of COPD to look out for is Increased mucus,

or an increase in the amount of mucus your are producing.

In COPD, coughing usually goes hand-in-hand with a second early-stage symptom:

the production of a large amount of mucus or phlegm.

Your lungs produce mucus to help trap or keep inhaled irritants out.

Mucus also helps keep your airways moist and protects the lungs from outside irritants getting in.

Tobacco smoke and other irritants can lead to the production of up to three times the normal amount of mucus.

3. Wheezing.

The third common sign of COPD is Wheezing.

Wheezing occurs when inflammation and irritation of your lungs cause your airways to become obstructed and more narrow,

resulting in a squeaking or whistling sound when you breathe.

You may also feel your chest tighten as you try to breath.

While wheezing can also be a sign of you may have a lung infection or asthma,

you must talk to your doctor and make sure to find the caused.

4. Feeling Short of Breath.

The fourth common sign of COPD is Feeling Shortness of breath.

Shortness of breath or a feeling of breathlessness is when your lungs take more effort than usual to move air in and out.

Initially, breathlessness may occur only with increased physical activity,

such as playing sports or walking uphill.

If you have ever experienced a feeling of shortness of breath, then you know it is no laughing matter.

This can be a more serious warning sign that you may have COPD.

During the earlier stages of COPD, a shortness of breath may be caused by exerting the body physically,

as the lungs already have to work harder for breath.

However, as the disease progresses,

you may begin to feel a shortness of breath at a greater frequencies and without physically exerting yourself.

5. Headaches.

Do you wake up with headaches in the morning?

Headaches is also another common sign in people with COPD.

Why its happen? Its Because when COPD makes it harder for you to breathe,

you do not get enough oxygen in your system while you are sleeping.

The lack of oxygen getting in causes carbon dioxide to build up in your bloodstream.

This can lead to nausea, dizziness, and headaches.

You also may find that you get tired more easily than you did in the past.

You feeling extremely tired all the time,

even when you haven't done much during the day this can be a sign of fatigue brought on by COPD.

If you notice that you have been feeling unusually tired even when well rested and you wake up in the morning with headaches.

You should talk to your doctor about getting tested for COPD.

Catching COPD early can make a great difference in treating the disease.

What's up guys and gals, welcome back to another episode of Know Your Bass Player.

Today we're talking the high flying, high jumping psycho slap player

that's all smash and no flash. Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Bumpa dee ba bumpa-ty bumpa-ty ...

My name is Alfie Williams and it's my job to dissect the gear, the styles and the technique

of the great bass players out there.

Flea from RHCP has been an inspiration for me since I was a teenager.

Some of the first songs I learned as a bass player were Chili Pepper songs

and were a great way to bridge the gaps between my musical tastes and other peoples.

For over 30 years Flea has been associated with thundering slapping style

and finger fast plucking

Today we dig deep to find out

just what gear he uses to make him sound so good.

When Flea helped create the Red Chili Peppers in 1983

he joined the scene using a MusicMan Cutlass 1.

Flea recorded with a Cutlass 1 on the Red Hot Chili Pepper's first two albums;

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Freaky Styley,

This early Cutlass of Flea's was adorned pink and green tape and splashed with paint,

This bass can be seen in the band's earliest videos 'True Men Don't Kill Coyotes',

'Jungle Man', and 'Catholic School Girls Rule'.

As well as one of the band's first live television performance on 1984's

Thicke of the night.

In a short space of time this bass quickly became adorned with shiny flag stickers

Notably from other countries.

The headstock was painted yellow and black.

Music Man had partnered with Modulus Graphite to produce two short-lived basses

The Cutlass 1 and Cutlass 2

These basses look like normal MusicMan StingRay's but they actually have graphite necks installed.

Modulus have a hand in Flea's future basses but we'll talk about them

and the future of graphite necks later on.

Around 600 of these basses were madebut they never caught on quite like the StingRay

and production ceased in the mid 80's.

Interestingly enough, as of October 2016, Musicman have produced two new basses inspired

by a modern rework to the Cutlass guitar .

This is based on designs that were left incomplete by Leo Fender.

Leo Fender at the time was owner of the MusicMan company prior to Ernie Ball in 1984.

As this guitar was a success, MusicMan decided

to bestow complementing bass versions upon us too.

These modern basses rework the successful elements of the Fender Precision and Jazz

then blends them with the StingRay.

The resulting basses are the Precision-style Cutlass and the Jazz-style Caprice.

Moving on to the third album The Uplift Mofo Party Plan.

Flea started to use Spectator basses.

His first spector was a NS2-JA bolt and seen on the video "Fight like a brave".

In 1989 Mother's Milk was released and Flea had switched to the now classic NS-2 model

which features a three piece neck thru construction.-

This and the EMG, P/J pickups give it a warm well rounded tone with immense resonance.

Flea can be seen happily slapping away on the video "Knock Me Down".

The other two singles from Mother's Milk were "Taste the Pain" and

"Higher Ground".

Flea used the Tiesco NB-4

which was sold under the name SIlvertone in the US.

A strange choice for Flea considering the bass' shorter scale

and a low starting point , mostly ideal for for beginners.

The 1991 album BSSM was recorded with a combination of basses.

but it was thanks to the touring in this time that Flea is remembered for the honking and

thumping tone of a MusicMan StingRay.

StingRays are known for having extremely low action and a trademark active humbucker

Built with Alnico magnets it is a combination of three different metals;

Aluminium, Cobalt and Nickel.

Add to this combination a 3 band EQ and you have one loud versatile instrument.

The StingRay can be see in the videos "Give It Away" as well as the live video single

"If You Have To Ask".

A StingRay was used for the tracks "Funky Monks" and 'Righteous and the Wicked',

Where Flea said he needed an ultra low action sound.

You'll also notice a StingRay 5 string in the video for "Under The Bridge".

Which contrary to the video, this was actually recorded with a Wal Mach II (2) bass.

Wal Mk 2 basses have an unbelievable tone is warm and loud beyond belief.

This is down to the construction of its proprietary humbucker pickup

. Each pole piece has it's own ceramic magnet

wrapped around a coil.

The use of the Wal bass coincided with a complete change of musical style by Flea

Trying new things he was toning down his hyper slap aggressive passages

and focusing more on the song writing as a whole.

This bass can be glimpsed in the video 'Suck My Kiss' and seen more frequently in the 1991

documentary Funky Monks.

For the production of 1995s One Hot Minute, Flea stated in an interview for Bass Player

magazine that he was using an Alembic Epic for most of the record

. The reason being is that the Alembic has a

more consistent volume throughout the neck.

- The highs just as loud as the lows

This is know to be an issue with StingRays. The article also states that Flea's bass is

a stock Epic.

The Alembics' volume and punchy tone was a great compliment

to new guitarists Dave Navarro's thick tone.

Dave was known for layering and dubbing effects which can get quite thick in a mix.

Strangely enough, an off handed quote from Flea said; "I'd never be caught dead playing it live

… I always use a StingRay but

the Alembic is like the Wal I used on

the last record.

I didn't like it either but it was so easy to record with."

The Alembic is seen in the video for "My Friends" which depicts clips of the band

in the studio.

whilst the rest of the videos

Aeroplane, Coffee shop and Warped depict the Classic StingRay.

Going 6 times platinum in 1997 was Californiacation. It was at this time The Modulus Flea bass

hit the market.

Developed by Modulus with Flea, it was their combined take on the MusicMan StingRay.

The specialty of this bass is its graphite neck.

Normal basses made of wood are a malleable material that can

the ebb and flow of the environment.

Not only this but the pull of the strings across the neck don't help either.

You can counter this issue with a truss rod but it's not a permanent solution

Necks are to prone to certain unpredictable and undesirable qualities.

Like "bowing" either too pronounced or too subtle,

dead spots, or areas on the neck where notes are quieter or more indistinct compared to

the others.

Non-traditional neck materials such as graphite are attempts to correct these issues by replacing

wood with lighter, stiffer and more uniform components that don't change.

For Flea, these basses were ideal for touring as they would hardly

"All around the world"

As they hardly ever need to be adjusted to the environment.

The strength of this neck also made it useful for thrashing about on stage.

The Blue Sparkle Modulus Flea Bass was the first to be made.

and primarily used on the Californiacation tour.

Flea has had many Modulus basses over the years.

Several which still show up in his in his rig today.

For the most part, these basses are all set up the same

with graphite necks, lane poor pickips and Aguliar preamps

All of these basses have made an appearance from The Californiacation era to the current

"The Getaway" era.

Silver Sparkle and a 5 string Silver Sparkle.

All Black custom with Lakers font FLEA in the fretboard.

And the Circle Jerk Punk-Rock

The second bass featured on Californaciation was a 1961 Fender Jazz which we first see

in the video for "Californiacation".

This is a remarkable bass and from here on out used to record nearly every studio album

the Chili Peppers have had.

We're talking By The Way, Stadium Arcardium, I'm with You and The Getaway.

The bass was given to him by a fan after requesting in his online tour journal

if anyone knew where he could get a pre-CBS Jazz Bass

being one of the original "Shell Pink" jazz bases ever produced by Fender it has

been evaluated to be worth 35 thousand dollars

Whilst Flea adores this bass and

treasures its "old wood sound".

his bass technician Tracy Robar has stated that;

"It's a great bass but wasn't for Chili Peppers.

He can't play as quick and it has no cutting tone"

Fender have since brought out a signature Flea Jazz Bass

Which tries to match the features his '61 Jazz.

It includes vintage J pickups And a "period correct" neck.

This neck profile is ideal for those that like playing

with their thumb on the back of the neck or the side.

The By The Way tour in 2003 solidified the Chili's popularity in mainstream music.

- It was at this time the Circle Jerk Punk Rock

bass was seen in music videos and on tour.

Making it most likely the second most popular bass Flea is known for.

It was painted red white and blue akin to the french flag and then adorned even more stickers

these feature a bunch of Flea's favourite punk bands.

As you've guessed, The Circle Jerks being one of them

In 2007 The Chili Peppers entered a hiatus that lasted two years.

During that time Flea left the sponsorship with Modulus to create his very own

line of basses.

Because once you've been sponsored the only way to top it off is to have your very own

line of basses right?!

His goal was to start a music company to produce quality bass guitars that

were affordable for young people

The FleaBass - Not to be confused with the "Modulus Flea Bass"

Which by the way has been now been renamed the Modulus Funk since fleas abandonment.

Has two models, The Touring model with a 34 inch neck and

the Junior Model with 30 inch

They are very colourful basses and come in 4 different combinations.

For the Recording of "I'm with you" which began in September 2010.

Fleas own FleaBass was further customised with a Lane Poor pickup and an Aguliar preamp.

In all the videos for the album Flea can be seen playing his FleaBass

which has a multicoloured spin art finish created by

UK controversial artist Damien Hirst

The two collaborated on these basses and set up an auction to help fund Flea's music school

the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

One of these basses will set you back $50 thousand dollars

"The Getaway" was released in 2016 and gave us a few singles.

It's only in the video for "Dark Necessities" can we see Flea still playing his 61 Jazz

and in "Sick Love" A colourful rendition of his FleaBass.

Finishing with our current year 2017 - Fender have again

provided Flea with several custom basses

His now number 1 bass is a Jazz styled body,

with a legacy Lane Poor pick up,

Aguliar preamp and graphite enforced neck.

He has a few more basses like this of the same design,

one of which is his Laker bass and a heavily reliced

road worn pinkish version which is a nod to his 61 Jazz.

If you grew up in the 80's or 90's;

The turtles were everywhere!

and this is the movie that made them icons

this film was a great balance

between their violent comic book origin,

and their kid friendly cartoon.

watching this as a kid had you believing

that the turtles were real

and even checking through your sewer cover

to get a glimpse.

i mean i cant be the only one

who did that right?

either way this radical gem

will still have you quoting it great lines

and working on your ninja skills

on your younger siblings.

Number 9

The nightmare before christmas

Being absolutely mesmerized

by the animation and the dark charm

this film had as a kid

fueled our imaginations to no end

it is nothing short than a massively creative

achievement as it took 100 people

over the course of 3 years, to complete

which really makes you appreciate

the process of stop motion

aside from the fantastic visuals

it also gave us music

that still plays in our heads

when halloween

or even Christmas rolls around

which begs the question

is this a Halloween movie?

or a Christmas movie?

who cares!

Number 8

The Sandlot

while there were a lot of other

great baseball films

like Major League,

Field of Dream,

and A League of Their Own.

The sand lot was unique because

it appealed to a younger audience.

Which was a good thing

because it gave us good characters like;

benny,

squints,

and Ham.

It also gave us a very memorable scenes

and quotes that will still say today.

But best of all,

its a great coming of age story

that still holds up.

Number 7,

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Harrison Ford was at his peak in the 80's

with Star Wars and Blade Runner

but it was Indiana Jones

that really made him stand up on his own

and being a household name.

This awesome adventure film gave us

a bad ass archeologist

which in theory

those two words should not go together.

Complete with an iconic theme song

but the true wonder of the Indi films

is the idea that his adventures

are mere dreams of Han Solo

while being frozen in carbonite.

i mean the clues are there

if you look closely.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons

are no match for a good blaster

at your side, kid.

Number 6

Jurassic Park.

Holy shit!

when this movie came out

did it not make you fall in love

with dinosaurs

i mean look how awesome they look

this film can be bright and beautiful,

to dark and scary.

or even a mixture of both

that is vastly due to the

excellent visual story telling master:

Steven Spielberg

and my god that score is beautiful

which can only mean one thing

John Williams is right behind it.

fantastic visuals,

amazing score,

and a solid story,

make for a spectacular film

that is sure to never go extinct.

Number 5

Ghostbusters

how many times have we seen this movie?

how many times have we quoted Vankman?

And how many times have

we sang that damn song?

the answer is a lot

and that's because this movie is well

written and directed

with its hilarious characters

and its awesome scenes

watching this as a kid

made you want to get up

and start ghost busting

until you remembered;

you didnt have a proton pack,

and were afraid of the dark.

but the best thing we all remember about

ghostbusters

was the Stay Puft marshmallow man

so random, but awesome.

Number 4

Back to the Future

Arguably the best time travel movie ever,

as it is the most consistent

with its time lines

and how close it is

to the actual theory of time travel.

by using energy

and not a hot tub

science aside.

this film shows us

to stand up for ourselves

and that you can accomplish anything

if you put your mind to it.

it always made me want an

insane scientist inventor

who would constantly put myself,

universe,

and his dog in danger

because it looks like so much fun.

this film is so beloved

especially by its creators

that a remake,

or a reboot,

will never be made while they are alive.

dont you even think about it.....

Number 3

Batman

i wore out 2 VHS tapes with this movie

because i spent countless hours watching

i know this movie so well

that all i need to hear to recognize it

is one line of dialog.

You ever danced with the devil

in the pale moonlight?

which kinda sounds depressing...

anywho!

when this blockbuster came out

it was batmania everywhere!

as it changed the game

for super hero movies

by being the complete contrast

of its brighter predecessor; Superman.

even changing the image of batman himself,

as most people at the time

grew up with the campy, Adam West,

and thought that was how

he was suppose to be.

despite its flaws,

its still the best batman movie,

unless of course we are talking about

Mask of the Phantasm.

Number 2

The Lion King

This movie came out of nowhere

and had low expectations

that even Disney thought Pocahontas

would be better

but they couldn't have been more wrong.

this amazing animated film

gave us a great story of rightful destiny,

fun music that i still sometimes

sing today,

but it gave us that scene...

you know what scene....

it was the first time

i remember crying while watching a movie

what makes this the most nostalgic movie

is because,

this was the first ever 3D animated movie

and paved the way for pixar

to make other greats

so we always remember where they came from

Also,

andy represents the kids that day

and as the years go by

andy gets older like we do

which makes us have a connection with him

Even though he passes on his toys

in part 3

he never forgets about them

or about himself

and all the good times they had

and that's...

Nostalgia.

2017 Convocation Speaker Contest - Duration: 1:22.

Hi, I'm Spencer Frank! I am currently majoring in Cinema

and music, a double major here at University of Iowa

and I'm originally from a Chicago suburb

I originally wasn't planning on auditioning for the

Convocation Speaker, but my friends dared me to do it

and so I just threw together a video and

I got it so yeah I was a little surprised

but I was excited at the same time

My speech was just kind of about how

you shouldn't be nervous to go up and

just randomly talk to someone new

just to go out and meet new people

because we are all in the same boat

We're all, you know, starting somewhere new

Don't let your fears decide how you are supposed to live your life

Go up to them, confront your fear

Say, "Hey fears, why don't you quit bossing me around?"

Because if you're living your life based of of your fears,

then the question is: are you really living at all?

Go audition even if you're having second thoughts about it

The worst you could is not even try

Hello everybody, in this video i'll take you along with me as i make my June setup!

The theme this month will be lemons, simply just because i love everything lemony and

i think they're sooo pretty.

Btw, don't mind my camera sliding off to the left, i totally didn't notice my camera rig

being unsteady.

So now that's fixed, let's move on with the video.

As per usual i'm gonna do the outlining with you guys and then i'm gonna clean it all up

and color it off camera for you to see in the final flip through.

As you can see i'm just setting up my cover page, with a whole lot of lemons!

I really loved the way my monthly overview was last time, so i'm gonna do the exact same

thing this month, just lemon themed this time.

The

same goes for my habit tracker and my thought of the day pages.

They worked just fine for me, so the only change for them aswell is

the theme.

Now for my weekly spreads.

I'm gonna keep them fairly simple, with only my lemon theme as decoration.

Since June started on a Thursday, my first weekly spread is only gonna be 4 days long,

so i decorated the space where the rest of the days would've been with the quote "if

life gives you lemons, make lemonade" inside a giant lemon.

Trust me you guys, all the yellow you'll se in the final flip through is gonna lift this

whole design to a true colourbomb!

I made the same design, minus the giant lemon, on all my other weekly spreads.

Now i'm gonna remove any pencil lines and color the pages, so it's time for the final

flipthrough.
