hello everyone how are you today is Marc I'm doing great

thanks for asking - if somebody asked me what words are the most important in

English I'd put all my money on nouns why nouns ? because they are what we in

a sentence refer to without a noun or a pronoun

the sentence wouldn't make much sense would it ? a noun can be countable or

uncountable as we will see in our lesson and they can be concrete or abstract so

let's start with this lesson on what you don't know about nouns shall we ?

yes as I said nouns can be countable and uncountable countable means that you can

count them so you can make them plural like a book books right uncomfortable

you cannot count them like milk if you want to count milk you need a partitive

a partitive is like a word carton so for example a carton of milk if you

want to watch a lesson on partitives you may click here - now the plural is made with an S

at the end but not always - for example goose geese

foot feet mouse mice ox oxen child children and so on

there are many exceptions - the second point so gender with some means of transport

you need to use the pronoun she or the possessive pronoun her for example with cars with

ships with countries with oceans - for example - I went on a cruise last week -

she took us to Crete so she here refers to a cruise so it usually refers with a feminine pronoun

or possessive pronoun her - there are also professions like actor and actress or

waiter and waitress host and hostess or and here we have president stays the same

president so you need to learn which gender to use because sometimes

they have the equivalent in the feminine obviously for animals we have another

word for example bull cow horse mare drake duck

etc so remember gender that nouns usually don't have gender but sometimes

it can have a gender nouns with ING so they refer to activities - for example working

is the act of a person or thing that works - working is good for your health

for example working is the noun right there

the next point that I want to talk about is that nouns are rarely used alone they

need supporting material like modifiers or qualifiers for example if I said

the head the head of what ? the head of the office of a company etc or rise not

the verb but the noun so family's rise or the rise of the novel

for example or the top I can refer to the top of the building the top of the

mountain so what are modifiers they are adjectives or they are nouns and I gave you

the example here political and in this case we have an adjective - political

affairs so you need these two to create the meaning that you want right water level in

this case we have two nouns right water level or Italian citizenship

citizenship is the noun and Italian is the adjective this is a modifier right there

these are three modifiers now we have quantifiers they are prepositional

phrases and I gave you here some examples the top of the mountain the way

of walking prepositional phrases are the ones that follow of ok so the top of the

ways of walking some nouns are always used with

modifiers for example eater if I say eater we need something else right meat

eater or fish eater or vegetable eater everybody eats right so eater is not - it

doesn't give you the whole meaning of the word so you need something else

you need a modifier some nouns are used to with possessive determiner apostrophe s or

a prepositional phrase OF for example the point of the situation right or

man's culture etc - now I'm going to erase this and I'm going to list some nouns

that are used alone - so as promised I'm going to mention some nouns

that need supporting material a modifier or a qualifier so for

example prime - kind - range - discovery top - the top of the mountain - head - the head of

the office - growth - the population growth - center yes the city center - scale - limit

speed limit - affair - family affair - case - rise -time - bottom - the bottom line is - roll - tone

the ring tone - for example - depth and I think I mentioned already level - so I hope you

Acting like thugs.

All thirsty for more

Blood on the dance floor.

Kids are skipping originality ...

It's such a pity they look so alike.

They just look like fancy, smart ...

They dress the part, they act the part.

But do they dance the part?

Or do they fall apart?

No foundation, no solid ground ...

How do you expect to dance like

Your favorite You Tube star?

Here's a question.

Do you dance to be admired by other dancers?

Do you dance for comments like OMG ...

WOOOW?

Or ...

FROM THE MILL CASE AND MILL EXPECTATIONS OF WOMEN AND THEN

THEY GIVE THIS GIFT BASKET THAT COMPLETELY MISSES THE POINT THAT

I'VE GOTTEN A FEW GIFT BAGS AND MOVIE PREMIERES AND

JUST MOVIES THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE CLEANING SUPPLIES AND

CHOCOLATE THAT USUALLY IT IS PROMOTIONAL THING, SUGAR A

STICKER IN COUPON FOR POPCORN.

THIS IS A RIDICULOUS BAG AND TO SAY WE DIDN'T MEAN IT THAT

WAY, IT IS NOT EASY TO BUY.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE A GIFT BAG AT A MOVIE

SCREENING, GIVE A GIFT BAG OF POPCORN.

EVERYBODY WANTS THAT.

YEAH, I DON'T EVEN CARE THAT IT WAS WONDER WOMAN THAT

I CARE THAT IT WAS WONDER WOMAN BECAUSE THE POINT OF

THIS MOVIE LIKE YOU MENTIONED IS NOT THE FOCUS ON

TRADITIONAL GENDER NORMS.

WONDER WOMAN IS SPECIAL BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT

THOSE THINGS.

SHE IS ABLE TO BE WONDERFUL AND POSITIVE AND STRONG AND

hello everyone it's me Jayskibean and welcome back to kindergarten yay oh cool okay so

anyway last episode we use all of our monies so we can get Jerome's quest line

done and I'm going to take it all out and but we got a key mode for his dad's

office the principal's office this is the key mold for the okay all right so

we got a key mold for his dad's office which happens to be principal am I ready

to start another day kindergarten no let's look at the hints real quick and I

want to see all right so what do I need la la la

I need Sydney's item I need special item from the teacher Jerome okay the special

item for Jerome and as much money as you can carry to complete Monte's mission

okay so I need a bunch of money so that's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna do

today I'm not ready for another day kindergarten yes yes I am so I'm just

gonna eat all the apples probably there's nothing I can really give yeah

here we go cash them in all right children let's go ever more at a time

good morning children gonna find a partner all right so can I get money

from here hey don't get a shot snoop it around other people's cubbies okay so I

after eating that anyway who's next uncle it doesn't work oulous that's a

free way to get that show-and-tell right there you'd have to go all the way out

of my way and get the monster mom card even that was pretty cool to have you

know what the note the note now with some extra like little story coulis I

have monies now sweet Oh 10 is the max you can have sweet awesome all right so

let's go to him and he said you need a special item from

Jerome it as much money as you can carry to complete Monty's mission and that

would be ten dollars so I guess I'm going to get on the money out ten

dollars if s you can carry right yes as much you can get one time alright so I'm

gonna grab this bring it a school yay okay so hopefully it'll get robbed

am I ready to start another day kindergarten uh yeah let's do it

let's see let's see what happens mmm I smell money yeah somebody was definitely

carrying more than three dollars hey kid you got any cash no don't lie to me I

smell no way look I don't have time to argue with you make your own money don't

yeah fine here right tell teachers of bugs all right so I need to talk to him
