10 Surprisingly High Paying Jobs - Duration: 7:51.

Are you thinking about changing careers but feeling intimidated about the education and

licensure associated with well-paying jobs?

Exactly how much GRUNT work does it take to get the GRATIFICATION of a new career making

at least six figures?

We did the math on the grunt-to-grat ratio for you, with 10 jobs you wouldn't expect

to be well-paying, and the details on what it takes to land the position, in this episode

of The Infographics Show, 10 Surprisingly High Paying Jobs.

Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell button so that you can be part of our

Notification Squad.

Number 10.

Railroad conductor Up to $104,000

Did you know that in the U.S., professionalized railroad conductors are still around?

Neither did we, but they exist, and they cash in in some areas.

The national median salary is just $54,000, but it does go all the way up to $104,000.

The grunt is working your way up in a dying industry and learning on the job without many

mentors or companies to choose from.

You're away from home for long periods of time.

But the grat is you get to see the country in an old timey kind of way, you get to feel

like that kid you once were with your first train set, and you can avoid the 9 to 5 and

tell corporate America to kiss your – uh – caboose.

All aboard!

Number 9.

Crab fisherman Up to $200,000

Tolerating the miserable work of capturing crab through terrifying squalls for five figures

per month was popularized by Discovery Channel's reality series The Deadliest Catch.

Even negotiating the dynamic between the personalities on board seems treacherous enough to think

twice.

But in recent years, changing safety regulations have made fishing for Dungeness crab more

doable.

There is also an after-season for other kinds of crab, as well as fish.

All said and done, you can still clear $200,000 a year after a few years' experience.

The grunt work is working your way up, because there is no school for crab fishing.

You have to find a crew you trust and respect to show you the ropes when you start as a

deckhand.

And you'll be away from home and leave your loved ones behind to worry.

The grat is having a nontraditional career and six figures to roll hard on your few days

on land.

Number 8.

Building inspector Up to $117,000

It's not super scintillating, but if you're good with checklists and you have a mind for

structural engineering, working for a city government inspecting buildings could bring

home six figures.

The grunt part is working your way up in the kind of large bureaucracy – that is, a major

U.S. city – that is big enough to pay at least $68,000 per year, and all the way up

to $117,000 per year.

It's also highly specialized, so you'll give up other career tracks.

And there are a few months of studying for a standardized exam.

But the grat is a well-paying job with predictable days and permanent demand for your skills.

Number 7.

Egg donor Up to $114,000

Here is one for the ladies.

It can be lucrative, but it has its dilemmas.

And it's not really a job, as in an existing role in any company, but an opportunity you

could make your full-time gig if you're really, really determined to get some cash.

The grunt is altering your cycle, feeling like a human petri dish, and the whole ethical

conundrum of creating a human you'll never meet.

But the grat is up to $14,000 per cycle, so you could, if you go on back-to-back cycles

and take two months off, clear $140,000 in a year.

Number 6.

Anesthesiologist Up to $500,000

Anesthesiologists, in their quiet bedside role near the superstar surgeon, look like

some kind of low-level nurse or technician.

They're actually doctors, and they make bank.

The grunt is med school like any other doctor.

That's completing a four year degree, doing the MCAT preparation to take the standardized

exam to get into a decent medical school, then going through four years of medical school,

and four years of residency that actually comprise a one-year internship plus a three-year

residency.

Some anesthesiologists do additional residencies beyond those 12 years mandatory, and then

have to study and take the board exam to become board-certified.

That board certification is an important credential to earn the trust involved in taking someone

safely through a major surgery and recovery.

But then the grat is you make more than a family doctor, general practitioner, pediatrician,

or psychiatrist does.

That is, anesthesiologists take home, on average $294,811.

That is a national average.

In larger U.S. cities their annual salary is in the $400 to $500 thousand dollar range.

Number 5.

Write for the federal government Up to $123,234

A writer-editor for the State Department, in which you don't do any foreign policy analysis

or speech writing, but analyze communication documents and systemic functions of the department

itself, grosses you $95,000 to $123,000 per year.

If you'd like to do something similar for the Department of Energy, and recommend standards

for documentation for audits and other reports, you could start as low as $79,000, but also

go up to $123,000.

The grunt is working your way up in a dull bureaucracy and memorizing templates and standards

and learning to speak bureaucratese.

The grat is the money, the great benefits, and the job security.

Number 4.

Longshoreman Up to $200,000

This job loading and unloading ship cargo at large ports is of course only available

if you're near a big port like Houston, Los Angeles-Long Beach, or New York – or

are willing to move.

But you might be willing, for the money.

There is no education requirement – just experience.

West Coast longshoremen average $98,000 according to shippingwatch.com, but with overtime and

union power to play hardball on negotiations, that salary gets north of $100,000.

And an LA Times analysis in 2015 showed over half of longshoremen made over $100,000, while

foremen and managers top $200,000.

A few bosses get $300,000, and all get free healthcare.

A New York longshoreman makes at least $124,000, with another round of negotiations coming

up in 2018.

The grunt is working your way up and the intense physical labor with never ending stacks of

cargo waiting to be moved.

But the grat is the cash, the health care, and holding one of the few jobs that globalization

actually needs.

Number 3.

Mine operator – underground Up to $165,000

It's not for you if you're scared of tight spaces, and it's not glamorous, literally

digging around in the dirt.

And there's this coal miner image out in the pop culture lexicon of being, well, white

trash.

But you can laugh all the way to the bank, because if you're willing to work underground,

you'll clear $150,000 to $165,000.

The grunt is learning the trade on the job, the danger, the dirt, and taking such a specific

career track that it doesn't prepare you for much else.

But the grat is the earnings.

And while automation continues to improve mining, you're not being replaced by a robot

quite yet.

That is, you will be in demand for a while.

Number 2.

City employees – at least those of affluent towns

Up to $142,903 You can actually make more than $143,000 without

any education requirements in some cities, like Santa Monica.

But we picked the silliest job in that particular city that pays six figures: farmers market

manager.

In fact, 105 City of Santa Monica workers cleared over $300,000 in 2016, to the horror

of watchdog blog Transparent California.

The city's global caché and resulting steady stream of tourists, produce high occupancy

taxes – that is, the city's share of hotel bills – and parking taxes, filling city

coffers and boosting salaries for all jobs.

The grunt is a dull bureaucratic job – and perhaps your nagging conscience if you happen

to be the Assistant City Librarian bringing home $220,558, or occupying another overpaid

post.

The grat is, well, you're overpaid and you're in sunny Santa Monica, or another rich city

living large.

Number 1.

Firefighter Up to $121,104 as a starting firefighter

Mmm, running into burning buildings and maintaining the fitness level to regularly charge flights

of stairs.

Maybe not?

Think again: it has its advantages.

Salaries vary by city and position, but in major cities like New York and LA, you'll

clear six figures.

You'll make at least $121,000 from Day One in Los Angeles, but in New York, you'll

have to work for five years to get to $110,000 as a low level firefighter.

But then you get promoted on your way to Chief and earn more at each level, over $300,000

in some fire departments.

The grunt is you're working in fire, putting yourself in danger, worrying about your coworkers,

dealing with deeply distressed people who are watching their homes and offices burning,

and you're also a paramedic, meaning you have to see terrible injuries from violence

and witness other human loss.

But you work days at a time and then have chunks of time free, so you can travel and

buy toys with the six figures you're earning, with solid job security.

And you get to contribute to your community and truly help people every time you go to

work.

So, which of these high paying jobs took you most by surprise?

Would you consider working any of these jobs?

10 Hidden & Secret iPhone Features - Duration: 5:32.

"Music"

Hey guys it Sagar from Tecworkz, and in this video I will show you guy some underused features

that your iPhone already has, but you either don't know about them, or have totally forgot

that they exist.

These are some of the simplest features that have existed since a while on the iPhones,

but not a lot of users are aware about them.

Some of you might know a few of these, while some might even know every single features

that I am going to show.

At the end of this video, be honest and let me know in the comments section, how many

of these features you knew about and how often do you actually use them.

Before we get started, please hit the subscribe button, so you don't miss out on any of the

amazing upcoming videos on this channel.

Let us start with the feature that prompted me to make this video.

When you are doing some calculations in the native calculator app, and you type in a wrong

digit, there is no delete or backspace button, So you end up clearing the complete number

and start putting in digits again.

Instead of clearing the number, all you have to do is swipe your finger, right or left

on the part where the digits are, and it deletes one digit at a time, it is that simple.

This feature has been there since long time, but someone recently shared it on the internet,

and people have been going crazy over it.

Since we are talking about the calculator app, here is another tip.

Turn off the orientation lock on your iPhone, and while using the calculator app Rotate

your phone to landscape mode, now your basic calculator app turns into a full fledged advanced

calculator.

Try it out.

If you are like me and have a lot of tabs open while surfing in the safari browser,

it takes sometime to close all the tabs one by one.

There is an easy way to close all tabs at once, just tap and hold the tab button for

2 seconds, and you get an option to close all the open tabs.

If you want to get back to one of the tabs that you recently closed, you can do that

easily as well.

Just tap the tab button, and hold down on the plus mart at the bottom of the screen

for 2 seconds, it will show you the list of the tabs you closed recently, and you can

easily get back to the one you want.

While viewing photos on your iPhone, you can very easily double tap or pinch to zoom on

any particular part of the image.

Now you can do this with videos as well.

If you want to zoom onto a particular part of a video, just double tap on that part,

or pinch to zoom on a particular part of the video.

If you are taking a panorama shot, by default you will have to move the phone from left

to right to take the shot, but if you want to do it the other way around, just tap on

the arrow and it will change the direction.

Now you can move your phone from right to left for taking that panorama shot.

You might already know about the editor in the Photos app, it helps you edit and make

your photos even better.

But a not a lot of you might know about the markup extension available in the editor.

When you are editing any photo, just click on this circle with 3 dots, and then select

Markup.

With this option, you can draw over your photos, magnify a certain part of the image, or even

overlay text on the images.

Now you don't need to download a 3rd party app, just to draw doodles on your photos.

While you are searching for particular setting, in the settings app, and you don't exactly

remember under which sub menu that setting is hiding, it can become pretty annoying.

To fix that, settings menu now comes with a search bar.

just swipe down in the settings app to reveal it, and type in the the setting you are looking

for, tapping on the result will directly take you to that particular setting.

You might have noticed, to go back from any page, I just swipe to right from the left

edge of the screen, instead of tapping the back button which is all the way at the top

left of the screen.

This is one of the ways to navigate on the larger iPhones using just one hand

If you are typing on your iPhone, and realise that you made a mistake, you have to tap on

the wrong word or the alphabet that you want to change, for that you will have to touch

on any word for 2 seconds so the magnifier shows up, and then move the cursor around.

If you are using an iPhone 6S or higher, you can just force touch on the keyboard, and

the whole thing now turns into a trackpad, this way you can move the cursor around with

ease and precision.

You can apply further pressure on the keyboard to select a particular word or a sentence.

This is one of the feature that I use all the time, while typing.

Again while typing, If you want to delete something that you just wrote or if you deleted

a word or a sentence by mistake, don't worry, just shake your phone a bit, and it gives

you the option to Undo or Redo typing.

While scrolling down through a long article or a web page, if you need to go back to the

top of the page, scrolling all the way back up can take a few swipes, depending on the

webpage you are on.

There is a easy and fast way to the top of any page.

Just tap once on the status bar, and it will take you straight to the top of any page.

This also works in most of the apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

If you made it so far in the video, did you realise that went through 13 features, not

just 10!

These have been some of the simplest features that have existed on the iPhones for a while.

Now be honest and let me know in the comments section, how many of these features you knew

about and how often do you actually use them.

You might have learned something new today, or knew about a few or most of these features

all along, In either case, start using these feature more often, and try to get the most

out of your iPhone.

That is it for this video, guys.

Please hit the like button if you enjoyed this video, and Subscribe to the channel for

more quality tech videos like this.

You can also check out some of the other videos on this channel.

This has been Sagar, and ill catch you guys in the next video.

Take care.

Steve Kerr's Health: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Mlog TV - Duration: 13:30.

Steve Kerr's Health: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

The Golden State Warriors will once again be without head coach Steve Kerr on the floor during the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 51-year-old Kerr has been out for the entire playoffs, as he continues to struggle with back problems.

Kerr first had back surgery during July 2015 and then he missed the first few months of the the 2015-16 season after recovering from a follow-up surgery a few months later. Kerr finally returned in January 2016.

He even won the 2015-16 NBA Coach of the Year title and led the Warriors to a 67-15 record in the 2016-17 season. The 2017 NBA Finals is the third consecutive Finals to feature the Cavs and Warriors.

Kerr has been off the court since Game 3 of the first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers. Assistant Mike Brown has been interim head coach since then.

Kerr has been marred to Margot Kerr since 1990 and the two have three children, Nick, Maddy and Matthew. Here's what you need to know about Kerr's health.

Kerr Has Attended Every Team Meeting Since the Western Conference Finals, but Still Isn't Ready to Coach.

On May 29, Kerr surprisingly took questions from reporters for the first time in a month, as he sat in for interim coach Mike Brown, who was out with the flu that day.

As the Washington Post notes, Kerr made it clear that he's still not ready to coach. "I'd like to tell you I'm ready," Kerr told reporters. "But I'm not ready to coach yet.

I'm still feeling a lot of effects of what I've got going on. But with Mike being out, I'll take his spot, after he took my spot media-wise.

I've told the team 'The good news is the team is really healthy, the bad news is the coaching staff is dropping like flies.' So, hopefully Mike will be back tomorrow, but I'll answer your basketball questions.".

Kerr did talk mostly about basketball, noting that he just went back and watched all seven games from the 2016 NBA Finals for the first time.

The Post noted that Kerr has become increasingly more involved with the Warriors behind-the-scenes, attending every team meeting since the Western Conference finals against the San Antonio Spurs began.

"I've been in every meeting since the San Antonio series started. Every film session, every practice. I address the team quite a bit," Kerr told reporters on May 29.

"I think my messaging is important, and I think we found the right balance where, I'll help out here but I'm not going to be on the sidelines during the games. Mike and the staff have done a great job.

It is awkward, it is weird. But we're doing OK.". When asked if he's definitely not coaching in the Finals, Kerr teased that it was "still up in the air," adding that he's waiting for an "aha" moment.

But he is definitely going to be with the team when they travel to Cleveland.

Amazingly, even without Kerr on the sidelines, the Warriors have cruised through the playoffs. They swept the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Spurs to reach the finals.

Carolyn Brown, Mikes Wife: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know Carolyn Brown is the wife of Golden State Warriors interim head coach Mike Brown. Meet Carolyn and learn about their relationship. Click here to read more.

Kerr Says What's Keeping Him From Coaching Is a 'Pain Thing'.

In an interview with the Mercury News on May 30, Kerr said he's been in pain and it got worse a month ago. It has nothing to do with whether or not he has the energy to coach.

"It's a pain thing and the repercussions of pain. I've been dealing with it for almost two years. I've been able to deal with it for the most part," Kerr said. "It's not a cognitive thing.

It's not even really an energy thing. It's a pain thing. And the threshold is really important–what's the threshold? For whatever reason, I don't know why, but a month ago, man, it got worse. You could see it, I'm sure, interviewing me.".

During the Portland series, his pain got worse, but he has been feeling a little better since then. Kerr said that he wasn't worried about anything drastically changing if he did decide to come back during the Finals.

"Like I said, we're doing the same stuff," he told the Mercury News. When the Mercury News asked him if he will ever coach again, Kerr's response was succinct.

Desiree Coleman, Mark Jacksons Wife: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know ESPN NBA Finals commentator Mark Jackson is married to singer and actress Desiree Coleman. Learn about the singer and their relationship. Click here to read more.

Kerr Had a Spinal Cord Leak Procedure in Early May. During a radio interview with Bloomberg on May 5, Warriors owner Joe Lacob confirmed that Kerr had a spinal cord leak procedure.

"Hopefully the leak was solved; he had another procedure. It's gone on for nearly two years. Very unusual, I believe," Lacob said, ESPN notes. "We feel really bad for him, the players.

We just have to be in his court here and support whatever it takes for him to get back, and I'm sure they will eventually solve it.

Hopefully sooner rather than later, and hopefully we'll have him coaching on the court sooner rather than later.".

In a May 25 interview with the Mercury News, Warriors GM Bob Myers said there's no deadline for Kerr's return. He explained that Kerr's last procedure did help, but it wasn't enough to get him back to coaching full-time.

"Kind of to be determined," Myers said when asked about the latest procedure. "Not enough to coach. But he's here and I guess that's a positive. He wasn't in Utah.

That's a hard one. I'm not inside his mind. It's degrees of better and worse, but not enough to where I can sit here and say he can coach our team.".

Kerr Has Been Dealing With the Complications of His 2015 Back Surgery.

back in July 2015, Kerr underwent his first back surgery to repair a ruptured disc. He had another follow-up surgery in September 2015. In October of that year, the Warriors announced that he would be taking a leave of absence.

He ultimately missed 43 games, returning to the team in January and leading them to the 2016 NBA Finals, where they let a 3-1 lead to the Cavs slip away.

Since the surgeries, Kerr has still been dealing with complications. However, he did coach the entirety of the 2016-17 season.

"You guys saw me at the end of Game 2 [of the Portland series], I was very uncomfortable," Kerr told reporters in April, The Washington Post notes. "I was uncomfortable at practice the other day.

With things getting worse, I decided I couldn't coach. So as of now, I'm consulting with my doctors, hoping for some improvement and if I get improvement, I'll get back on the sidelines.

But I'm not going to do that until I know I can help the team.". By the end of May, Kerr was feeling "a little bit better," but still not well enough to coach.

As Forbes notes, Kerr's problem has been leaking cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). As the Cleveland Clinic explains:.

Cerebral spinal fluid leak results when the fluid around the brain (called cerebral spinal fluid) leaks through a hole through the skull bone. This fluid can either drain from the ear or the nose, depending on where the skull bone is damaged.

Kerr Says He's Using Yoga to Help His Symptoms & Tells People Not to Get Back Surgery.

After Kerr announced that he wouldn't be coaching the Warriors in Game 4 against the Trail Blazers, he told reporters in a press conference that he does not suggest anyone have back surgery.

He said he's been doing yoga every day to help his symptoms. "I'm not going to go into details on the symptoms. It's just discomfort and pain and it's no fun.

And I can tell you if you're listening out there, if you have a back problem, stay away from surgery. I can say that from the bottom of my heart. Don't let anybody get in there," Kerr told reporters.

Star Stephen Curry even noticed that Kerr was not doing well.

"He's obviously going through a lot physically and that's first and foremost for him to take care of himself, make sure he's on the road to recovery and feeling like himself," Curry said in April.

"We've got his back, we've had certain situations all year, previous years, where players are down and you've got the 'next man up' philosophy, same with Coach Kerr.".

Since back injuries are so often unsuccessful, there's even a syndrome called Failed Back Surgery Syndrome, because many patients continue to feel pain after their surgeries.

The Daily Mail notes that the American Academy of Physicians estimates 20-30 percent of back surgeries are unsuccessful.

Dana Lambert, Jae Crowders Girlfriend: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know Boston Celtics foreward Jae Crowder is dating Dana Lambert, the mother of his daughter. Learn about her here. Click here to read more.

Why Is My Water Dispenser Slow? - Duration: 3:21.

Hi I'm Jordan.

Is your refrigerator dispenser slow or has no water at all?

Today, I will show you some tips in order to determine where your problem is located.

Before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source.

First, I would properly disconnect the water supply line from your fridge.

Be sure to use any towels or buckets in case of any water spills.

This is our fridge.

Your model might look different, however these tips can apply to any fridge appliance.

First, I will check your fridges water filter.

The filter removes any unwanted bacteria or harmful chemicals in your water.

Sometimes, it can lead to a build up of unwanted bacteria and impurities inside the filter

itself.

Changing your water filter could possibly fix the problem of a slow water dispenser

or one that does not work at all.

Keep in mind that the water filter needs to be changed every six months.

So, I would change the filter which could be a solution to your problem.

Next, I will check the water inlet valve.

That allows your water to flow in your fridge.

The water inlet valve is located in the rear of your refrigerator, behind the back access

panel.

Remove any wire harness or harnesses from your water valve, push down on the tabs and

remove the hoses. At times this part can become defective and will need to be replaced.

Once you've finished that, reattach your hoses.

Then, replace your wire harness or harnesses.

Replace your fill line and then reattach your back panel.

Next, I will check the dispenser switch, which is located behind the water dispenser facade

and is activated by the dispenser actuator.

if this switch is broken, it will not send power to the water valve and you will not

receive water.

Now, just place the wires back through, attach with the screws.

Next, replace the interface with the appropriate wires.

And then lock in the interface.

I would also check your water tank, which is located behind the shelve covers.

the tank keeps your water ready to dispense in your fridge.

The tank has a weird shape to prevent air bubbles from forming inside and allows the

water to properly dispense.

The reason you would change the water tank is if the item is cracked or leaking, which

could also be the problem.

Once you've done that don't forget to reconnect the water supply.

Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances, you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website.

Thanks for watching.

Science & Cooking, Part 2: Introduction to Emulsions (HarvardX) - Duration: 6:16.

This is a traditional "alioli" recipe.

Traditional as we use to eat nowadays,

the real traditional "alioli" would be only with garlic and olive oil,

but here we are going to make a trap

and we'll add egg yolk.

this egg yolk is used

to put less garlic.

We take a garlic clove and

we take out the inside part

and put it into the mortar

For one egg yolk we'll use two garlic cloves.

We open it

and it's ready.

It is important,

to put a little salt to the garlic

we put a bit of salt

we need to mash the garlic cloves until getting a paste.

We'll take the egg

We'll take the egg and

And this is a trick

see, we have the egg yolk inside.

We add the yolk here,

you didn't know about this trick, did you?

and we add the egg yolk

and

We can start now

One of the tricks that will help is adding

a little hot water

a few drops of hot water when necessary.

We'll start to whip the eggs.

A good virgin olive oil,

with low acidity, only 0'4 degrees of acidity,

here we have a Siurana, a catalan olive oil.

And we'll start,

first we'll start very slow

and after we'll keep doing.

DAVID WEITZ: So an emulsion is drops of an immiscible fluid in a second fluid.

Drops of one fluid in a second fluid.

A foam is the same thing, except instead of using a fluid on the inside

of the drops, you use air, a gas.

So how do you make an emulsion?

Well, the best way I can show you is to do it with this little experiment.

Here I have olive oil and water, and I'm going to try to mix them together.

And olive oil is not miscible in water.

And when I pour the olive oil onto the water, it floats on top.

It's lighter than the water.

So the only way I can mix them is to shake them.

So let me shake them like this.

And look, they do mix, but they don't completely mix.

Instead, you form drops of the oil in the water.

And that's an emulsion.

But let's watch this for a little while.

We put it on the side, and remember.

The oil is lighter than the water, and it's

going to start to float to the top.

And as it floats, the drops become closer and closer.

And they begin to join together.

And they lose their stability.

The emulsion doesn't remain drops of one fluid

in another but rather phase separates.

Becomes the two fluids again.

And if you look at them, if we watch them over time,

you'd see they completely phase separate.

So this emulsion is not stable.

So how do we make an emulsion?

An emulsion is mixture of one fluid in a second by making drops.

For example, in this case, we've made oil drops in water.

The oil drops are now called the dispersed phase.

The water is called the continuous phase.

And to make an emulsion, you have to mix them together.

Somehow you have to form drops of the dispersed phase

in the continuous phase.

And when you do that, you get these drops, and that's your emulsion.

But to make them stable, you have to prevent the drops,

or you have to keep the drops as individual drops.

You can't allow them to join together or coalesce.

Somehow you have to stabilize the interface

of the drops of the oil in the water.

And we do that using a surfactant.

A surfactant is a surface active molecule.

It's an amphophilic molecule.

Part of it is water-like, or hydrophilic,

and the other part is oil-like, or hydrophobic.

And they're joined together.

So the surfactant molecules like both the oil and the water,

and they can't really decide which they want.

So they can't really sit in either the oil or the water.

Instead, they prefer to sit at the interface,

at the surface between the two fluids.

Typically, you put the surfactant in the continuous phase.

So if you have an oil in water emulsion, you put the surfactant in the water.

So part of the surfactant sits at the oil.

There's excess surfactant, however.

You need to have excess surfactant so that you always have more

surfactant available, so that it can come to the interface

as you create the interface when you're emulsifying something.

The surfactant has to come out of the water and go to the interface.

However, the surfactant does not like to stay in the water,

because it has part of it which is oil-like.

It doesn't like to be in water.

So instead, the surfactant forms aggregates.

We call these micelles.

The aggregate, so that the tail groups, the oil part of the surfactants

are all connected together.

They're all facing one another, excluding some of the water.

That allow the surfactant to exist in the water

without exposing the tail groups to the water itself.

But the micelles act as a reservoir.

They can easily break up and bring new surfactant to the interface

as you create the interface.

And if you have enough surfactant--

an egg yolk, for example, is an excellent surfactant-- they completely

coat all the interfaces.

And then when drops come together, as I show here

in this little cartoon, when two drops come together with a coated interface,

with a surfactant-covered interface, it prevents the drops

from joining together and becoming larger drops.

So the drops remain stable, and the emulsion remains stable.

Spring Cleaning Your Fridge - Duration: 2:52.

Hi, I'm Jordan.

Spring is around the corner and its time for some spring cleaning.

Here are some tips in order to make the fridge clean and organized.

Before doing any repairs, please disconnect your power source.

This is our fridge.

Your model might look different.

However, these tips can apply to any fridge appliance.

Throw out anything that has been spoiled.

Rotten food can produce bad orders in your fridge, so it is important to thoroughly

clean out your appliance.

In both your fridge and your freezer, sometimes it can make your ice really smelly so be sure

to check that they are not unsealed and also to check your old food containers because

they can possibly build up oder.

The best way to eliminate and prevent future oders is to give a good cleaning.

Soap and water and air drying components with an oder is very effective.

Place a container of baking soda in both your fridge and freezer.

Store leftovers in air tight containers only.

These containers allow you to store food for a long time without worrying about spoiling.

They are completely sealed and allows the food to stay fresh.

Wipe of containers and jars before storing inside.

Keeping containers and jars sanitized is very important.

In order to avoid the items getting stuck to the bottom or the sides.

Now the door is the warmest section in your fridge.

It is not smart to store milk, eggs, vegetables or meats in the door.

Dressings, sodas, or butter are all fine.

The top shelf is the next warmest area.

This is mainly best for ready to eat foods.

Fast spoiling items are not recommended.

The middle shelf is good for milk and eggs.

it sometimes has a drawer underneath that is good for meats and cheeses.

The bottom shelf is the coldest area in your fridge.

Most of the time there are one or more drawers with humidity drawers that are ideal for meats

and vegetables to stay fresh.

Remove any residue from the outside of the door.

For stainless steel refrigerators, spray the outside with Affresh stainless steel cleaner

and than wipe off with a soft cloth.

This solution is good at removing food smudges and finger prints.

Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances, you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website.

Nightcore - Bad Liar & What Do You Mean (Mashup Cover by J Fla)(Lyrics) - Duration: 2:06.

I was walking down the street the other day

Tryna distract myself

But then I see your face

Oh wait, that's someone else

Tryna play it coy

Tryna make it disappear

But just like the battle of Troy

There's nothing subtle here

In my room there's a king size space

Bigger than it used to be

If you want you can rent that place

Call me an amenity

Even if it's in my dreams

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Not to think about you

No, no, no, no

Not to think about you

No, no, no, no

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Not to give in to you

No, no, no, no

Not to give in to you

What do you mean?

Ohh ohh ohh

When you nod your head yes

But you wanna say no

What do you mean?

Hey yeah

When you don't want me to move

But you tell me to go

What do you mean?

Ohh

What do you mean?

Said we're running out of time

What do you mean?

Ohh ohh ohh

What do you mean?

Better make up your mind

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

I'm tryin', I'm tryin',I'm tryin'

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Kevin Love: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Mlog TV - Duration: 7:24.

Kevin Love: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Kevin Love was drafted No. 5 overall by the Memphis Grizzlies but quickly was swapped to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for O.J.

Mayo in a multi-player deal. Love found early success with the Timberwolves and was their featured player by the time his second season rolled around.

After six seasons in Minnesota, with his best years coming in 2011-12 (26 PPG, 13. 3 RPG) and 2013-14 (26. 4 RPG), he was then traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team deal.

Love is now one of the "Big Three" in Cleveland and has put together his best season as a Cavalier in 2016-17, totaling 19 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.

Let's check out a few facts about Love both on and off the court. Love Landed With Cavaliers Thanks to a Huge 2014 Trade.

The deal that sent Love to Cleveland proved the team desperately wanted another proven star to pair with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. The complete deal meant that the Timberwolves landed No.

1 pick Andrew Wiggins, former top pick Anthony Bennett, forward Thaddeus Young and a $6.3 million trade exception.

That trade wound up as a big win for Cleveland, as the only major hit they took in the deal was losing Wiggins, who's been strong for the Timberwolves.

The trade was enough to get Love to Cleveland and make the Cavaliers immediate contenders, but it wasn't until a year after is arrival that they were able to win an NBA title.

He Has a Net Worth of Nearly $24 Million as of 2016. According to Forbes, Love has made a whole lot of money during his career and currently has a net worth of $23.9 million.

This number dates back to June 2016, but includes his five-year, $110 million deal, as well as the multiple off-court endorsements he has.

These include being a Banana Republic style ambassador, joining Nike after his sneaker deal with Chinese brand 361 expired, State Farm, SAXX Underwear and quite a few others.

Of Love's net worth, $19.9 million of it comes from salary, while an estimated $4 million is from endorsements.

Love's on-court numbers may have taken a slight hit since he joined the Cavaliers and didn't need to be as ball-dominant, but his endorsements seem to be doing just fine.

Currently, He's Dating Canadian Fashion Model Kate Bock.   My favorite things: Summertime, coffee and him. ☀️☀️☀️☕️☕️☕️. Bock has appeared in quite a few magazines, including Sports Illustrated. She also has over 234,000 Instagram followers and is verified on the site.

It's unknown when she and Love began dating, but based on the timeline of photos it seems to be sometime around 2016.

Back in 2013, Bock was voted as Sports Illustrated's Rookie of the Year at the age of 21. The Huffington Post reported that she earned 41 percent of the votes.

While Bock and Love seem to be going strong, he also introduced the Canadian to her first-ever football game at the Rose Bowl when her boyfriend was back in town supporting his UCLA Bruins.

Lets Go Bruins !!! My first ever football game !! #uclavsstanford #8clap #42.

Kate Bock, Kevin Loves Girlfriend: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know Kevin Wesley Love plays basketball for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he is currently in a relationship with Kate Bock, a fashion model. Click here to read more.

His Uncle, Mike Love, Is a Founding Member of the Beach Boys.

When talking about a pretty awesome past or family member, it's hard to beat having an uncle who was a founding member of the Beach Boys. Meet Mike Love, who was one of the band's vocalists and lyricists.

As awesome as that is, the younger Love apparently didn't even realize how big of a deal his uncle being in the Beach Boys was until his freshman year in college.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, he admitted that some people seemed more impressed with his uncle than the fact that he played basketball.

"Everyone was like, 'Oh cool, you play basketball, but your uncle is Mike Love of The Beach Boys. I grew up with that. My parents grew up with that." Love said.

Oh, and apparently he may have given Love his worst-ever Christmas gift, assuming that the uncle on his dad's side below, is indeed Mike.

Love Was Featured in One of the Pepsi Max Editions Of "Uncle Drew" With Kyrie Irving. Interestingly, this video came out back in 2012 and is one of the always-popular Uncle Drew videos by Pepsi.

The series, which has three parts currently, has been such a hit that ESPN reported that Irving is apparently collaborating on an Uncle Drew film.

Kyrie brought along Love, but this happened before the two had teamed up on the Cavaliers. So, it originally seemed that LeBron was the one pushing for Love to land in Cleveland, but he probably wasn't the only one.

It's unknown if Love will be featured in the movie version of Uncle Drew, but he left an impressive impact after his showing in the second-ever episode.

HOW TO TAKE A DAY TRIP TO LONDON | The Postmodern Family EP#12 - Duration: 7:52.

Good morning! It is 10 to 7:00, we left

the house a little after 5:30,

and we're on our way to London!

Hey guys, welcome to The Postmodern Family

This is our episode on our London trip

that we just took, if you guys like our videos,

we put new ones out Monday, Wednesday, Fridays

and encourage you guys to subscribe so you can

always be up-to-date when we are

posting a new content!

So here's our How to Take a Day Trip to London!

So today we plan on seeing the London Museum and

St Paul's Cathedral, probably not going to go inside

the cathedral today because we've already

been, and it does cost money every time

you go, but here's the tip, you guys,

if you attend a service, you don't have to pay

the tourist fee, for example I think

yesterday there was a Eucharist at 12 o'clock

so you would have been able to

make that and I think there is choral

evensong every evening at 5 p.m. and on

the weekends it could be earlier or later

so those are free, you wouldn't have to pay to go

into St. Paul's, not pay a tourist fee,

if you attend a service.

If you guys live in England and you want

to take a day trip to London, here are some tips

that we have for you.

The first thing you want to do is to drive to

the outskirts of London, you do have to pay

the congestion fee, which is £11, £11.50 per day

and then you can just find that online on your phone just

type in "congestion fee". You can pay it the

day-of, or you can pay it the day after.

But you want to find a parking spot or park-and-ride

that's on the outskirts of London and

then take the underground into London.

So if you didn't know, there are two different

systems that run on Rails. We've got the

trains and the underground.

The underground is the subway.

They go to different places, so

if you're taking a train in and then you

want to just connect to the underground system,

that would be big stations like

Victoria Station and Tower Bridge station.

They have different symbols as well,

so the underground is like the

circle with a line through it, that's the

symbol for the underground, and then the

station symbol, like two parallel lines

and then kind of like an arrow on the top

and an arrow on the bottom.

We are in front of our favorite cafe in London.

It's called Paul cafe, yeah? It's just Paul.

It's just Paul

My favorite item here is the hot chocolate.

It is super rich and creamy, how much is it?

£3.50, £3.50 but it's totally worth it

because I think it's the best in the world.

And now where are we going?

We're going to the Museum of London, join me.

This is St Paul's Cathedral,

we think it's the most beautiful one, yea?

Yeah [inaudible]

Key.

my hoodie!

Your hoodie? What's happened?

It just fell off, that's all.

What did we ever do before Google Maps? Hm?

Oh beautiful beautiful background.

So we made it to the Middle Ages, to the Reformation

and everyone's conked out now,

so we're gonna get something to eat

and probably leave Museum of London.

Look at them coming up now they're so slow,

holding me back, can't get to anything,

let's go.

peace

Hi! we spent the day in London and love it,

here we are at St. Paul, peace!

"The next station is Blackfriar,

change for national rail services"

Yesterday we went on a day trip to London

and London is by far my favorite

my favorite city in the UK

It's the center of the Empire when, when it

existed and who would have thought that

2,000 years ago, a little marshy little area

on the River Thames would rule the world.

I'm here at the London Museum and

my good friends, the Romans, of course are here.

Love the Romans, check them out.

The history, the monuments, the people that lived there

once upon a time--

This is a fragment of

what's left of the old Roman wall for

Londonium, or London.

Now of course it's so metropolitan it's not

um it's not what it used to be it's

um it's a melting pot and in that sense

it's very quite distinct than the rest of the UK

which is quite uniform.

There's so much to see and if you do it

just for a day trip it's um

it's kind of hard so you have to

really focus and be very specific and

narrow about what you're going to see.

On the subway system, or the underground system,

we used our contactless cards

so just, we didn't even need to buy a special card

we could just use our bank cards and scan it.

So that was really nice.

We parked, we took a tube in, and what we did,

we just focused on the St. Paul's area

which is in the oldest part of London,

the part that was walled in by the Romans

apparently, and yea, we just

spent the whole day there, having hot chocolate

and coffee in the morning

I went, while they did that, I went to the oldest

church in the city which is St. Bart's the Great,

just north of St. Paul's.

It's from the 12th century--he can go on and on--

I can nerd out about the history of it.

Now that I'm pregnant, I just feel tired traveling so

much, walking so much, so I'm happy to sit

in a cafe waiting for him to come back

He obviously likes that because he gets to walk

fast without having to drag his slow family behind.

After St. Paul's we went to London Museum

which sounded really fun,

the Museum of London, when we got there,

I like, had a sudden wave of fatigue.

I just got really tired and I just wanted to sleep,

of course, these people have lost the will to live.

I can't do a single Museum, ever.

They provided foldable chairs that you can

carry around everywhere and for me,

I would just sit down and read all the words as

I'm prone to do and our daughter dragged

her own little chair which is quite helpful

and she could sit, so that was really nice.

If you like what you see

hit the like button on the video and

Bye!
