How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks Fast

Stretch marks are visible lines on the skin surface, with an off-color hue. Stretch marks

are mainly found in the abdominal wall, but can also occur over the thighs, upper arms,

buttocks and breasts. Sometimes stretch marks can cover large areas

of the body. While pregnancy is the main cause behind stretch marks, other reasons can be

sudden gain or loss in weight, rapid growth, heredity factors, stress and changes in physical

conditions.

The skin consists of three main layers: Epidermis (the outer layer), Dermis (the middle layer)

and Subcutaneous or Hypodermic (the deepest layer). Stretch marks form in the dermis or

middle layer of the skin when the connective tissue is "stretched" beyond the power

of its flexibility due to rapid expansion or contraction of the skin.

As skin is stretched, the collagen is weakened and its normal production cycle is interrupted

and damaged. This ultimately results in fine scars under the top layer of the skin. Initially

the marks look pink or red, but over time a thin, silvery line appears on the skin surface

and a stretch mark is born. Stretch marks appear on the skin surface when

someone grows quickly, or puts on weight quickly. Stretch marks can make you feel self-conscious

and uncomfortable about your appearance. Fortunately, there are several natural ways to reduce the

appearance of stretch marks. 1. Castor Oil

Castor oil, which is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems such as wrinkles,

age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines and pimples, can also be used to get rid of stretch

marks.

1. Apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions

for 5 to 10 minutes. 2. Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth.

Using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the affected area for at

least a half an hour. 3. Repeat this process daily for a minimum

of one month to notice positive results. 2. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is effective in the treatment of many skin problems. Its healing and soothing

properties can be used to get rid of stretch marks. There are a couple of ways to apply

it. You can directly rub aloe vera gel on the

affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.

Another option is to make a mixture with one-fourth cup of aloe vera gel, oil from 10 vitamin

E capsules and oil from five vitamin A capsules. Rub this mixture onto the skin until fully

absorbed. Repeat this process daily. 3. Egg Whites

Eggs are a rich source of protein. For stretch marks, you want to use only the egg whites,

which contain amino acids and proteins. 1. Whip the whites of two eggs gently with

a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg

whites with a makeup brush. 2. Allow the egg whites to dry completely

and then rinse the area with cold water. 3. Finally apply some olive oil on the skin

to keep it moisturized. 4. Repeat the process daily for at least two

weeks and watch for positive results. 4. Lemon Juice

Another simple way to lessen stretch marks is to use lemon juice. Lemon juice is naturally

acidic which helps heal and reduce stretch marks, acne, and other scars.

Rub fresh lemon juice gently onto the stretch marks using circular motions. Allow the lemon

juice to soak into your skin for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm

water. Another option is to mix equal quantities

of cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply the mixture on the stretch marks.

5. Sugar Natural white sugar is one of the best natural

remedies to get rid of stretch marks. You can use the sugar to exfoliate your skin.

1. Mix a tablespoon of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice.

Mix it well and apply it on the stretch marks and other skin areas.

2. Gently rub the mixture on the skin for a few minutes every day before taking a shower.

3. Do this for a month or so and watch your stretch marks become lighter.

6. Potato Juice Potato juice contains vitamins and minerals

that foster growth and restoration of skin cells.

1. Cut a medium-sized potato into thick slices. 2. Take one of the potato pieces and rub it

gently on the stretch marks for a few minutes. Make sure the starch from the potato covers

the affected area. 3. Allow the potato juice to dry for some

time and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

5 Defense Mechanisms That Can Sabotage Your Relationship

In close relationships, where your deepest emotions are often aroused, it's even more

likely that you'll rely on your defenses to help you manage those emotions.

A well-known categorization of defense mechanisms by George Vaillant in 1994 differentiated

between immature defense mechanisms, such as projection (blaming others) and denial,

and mature defenses, like humor and sublimation (turning your unconscious motives into productive

activity).

Other models building on Vaillant have similarly attempted to categorize defense mechanisms

along a continuum from unhealthy to healthy.

These characterizations of defense mechanisms are useful, but Zhang and Guo note that they

lack a coordinated theoretical framework that incorporates current psychological thinking.

Defense mechanisms play an important role in this self-preservation strategy.

From author Susan Krauss Whitbourne on psychology today, these five defense mechanisms can really

sabotage your relationship.

The criterion for evaluating the effectiveness of a defense mechanism, in the Nanjing authors'

model, include whether it distorts the individual's self-representation and causes poorer relations

with others.

Further, when you push people away, defense mechanisms will only create more anxiety,

not to mention the loss of important relationships.

Now, we can make practical use of this new and more nuanced view of defense mechanisms

by considering the downside to each of these major five types outlined in the model.

Try to think about which of these might apply to you by answering these questions.

1.

Projection

Do you blame your partner for the flaws you experience in yourself?

Perhaps you're a bit forgetful and messy.

Rather than admit it, do you accuse your partner of failing to be thoughtful and neat?

2.

Denial

Do you try to protect your self-representation by pretending that negative experiences haven't

occurred?

Do you close your eyes and think that everything is going to be just fine, even when your partner

seems upset with you?

3.

Compensation

Do you turn to alcohol or drugs instead of confronting your own negative emotions?

Is it easier to have an extra glass of wine or beer rather than talk to your partner about

what's bothering you?

4.

Daydreaming

How much do you fantasize that all of your problems and challenges will simply disappear?

Would you rather escape into your own world where everything is perfect rather than step

into the real and flawed life that you and your partner share?

5.

Grandiosity

Do you see yourself as more important than your partner?

Do you constantly expect to be admired, while at the same time not acknowledging your partner's

accomplishments?

Is it hard for you to give credit when your partner is right?

As the Nanking authors point out, it can be difficult to abandon defense mechanisms that

you've become accustomed to using, as they allow you to protect a stable view of yourself,

even if it's an inaccurate one.

If your self-representation has maintained itself for years by protecting yourself inordinately

from reality, it's going to be a challenge to move away from that status quo.

Even though change is difficult to initiate, particularly if you've built up some very

solid defenses, it is possible to move to a new and more adaptive relationship to the

reality you inhabit with your partner.

Your partner can even help you in this change process.

Using the person who knows and loves you the best, you can begin to achieve fulfillment

both in your own self-understanding, and ultimately, in the quality of an improved close relationship.

Activity 3: Scramble Letters and ask your child to connect right letters with rubber bands.

Evidence in the form of an FBI document dump proves that President Obama corresponded with

Hillary Clinton over her private, unsecured and unauthorized email account and server

using a pseudonym.

This evidence proves both that Obama knew of the unsecured communications avenue and

tacitly approved of its use, via Politico.com.

One can only come to the conclusion that because of this Hillary Clinton was spared an indictment

in the matter.

The contents of the email exchanged – all of them – are being hidden from the public

under the guise of executive privilege.

This sequestering of what are supposed to be "innocent" emails is another indicator

that the Obama Administration has run interference for Clinton.

The revelation came as the FBI released a second batch of documents from its investigation

into Clinton's unethical use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary

of state.

It should be noted here that Federal Government agencies routinely execute "document dumps"

on Fridays and on days before holidays in an effort to do it as quietly as possible;

to draw as little attention to damaging information as possible.

The 189 pages the bureau released includes notes from interviews with Clinton's closest

aides and confidants.

Included in this group were Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills; senior State Department officials;

and even Marcel Lazar, better known as the Romanian hacker "Guccifer."

In one previous interview of Abedin, she was shown an email exchange between Clinton and

Obama in which he used the pseudonym.

She didn't recognize it – or at least said she didn't recognize it, but when told

of the user's identity exclaimed in horror, "How is this not classified?"

It has been common knowledge since 2015 that Obama and Clinton occasionally corresponded

via her unsecure private account.

The White House – in its quest for plausible deniability – insists Obama did not know

she relied on it routinely and exclusively for official business.

Additional interviewees whose report notes were made public Friday include: Jake Sullivan,

Clinton's policy planning director; Bryan Pagliano, a former Clinton technology aide;

Monica Hanley, a veteran Clinton aide who worked for her in the Senate and at State;

and Sidney Blumenthal, Clinton's longtime confidant.

While testimony given by her closet aids painted Hillary Clinton an inept with technology – even

going so far as to say Clinton couldn't even remember her own passwords, that is impossible

to believe for someone who have over ten communications devices and who was savvy enough to know she

would need a separate Internet avenue for communication to cover-up necessary emails

about her unethical and most likely illegal activities.

With the revelation that Obama routinely corresponded with Clinton of her clandestine server – and

using a cloaked identity, we can understand why a political hand-puppet like Loretta Lynch

would seek to interfere on Clinton's behalf in any investigation into shady communications.
