Waching daily Jan 31 2018

hi it's Therese from Lostinpaper and I'm so excited to be sharing this beautiful

stamped with you from STAMPlorations today it's created by a friend of mine

her name's Deepti and she creates under Dee's artsy impressions and I've got a

couple of stamps that I have some cards coming up over the next short while to

share with you but I'm starting with this one that's called blossom sprays #1

and I'm going to be doing some inktense water coloring and this is

by request I've had requests to actually do some more

coloring with my intense pencils so they're out and I'm water coloring and

I'm really enjoying it these don't live on my desk I actually

keep them in a drawer and I think that's a bit of the problem I forget that

they're there so thank you for reminding me I have stamped the image on some

Bristol smooth cardstock so it does tolerate some water but not as much

as watercolor cardstock will but that's the good thing about inktense pencils is

you don't actually need a lot of water to activate them I've used some onyx

black versafine ink and I did use my Misti to just so I can do a couple of

impressions because even though it's a smooth cardstock it is a large stamp and

I just thought that gave me a little bit of security and I don't like to waste

good cardstock so I add my color in a couple of different ways and in this

design I actually added in three different ways so I either add the pencil or the

ink directly to the paper or the cardstock and then use water to activate

it the other way that I add color is by wetting my paintbrush touching the tip

of the pencil like the lead of the pencil and then using the ink that's picked up

or a lid I'm not sure what to call it because it's kind of like an ink this is

a bit of an unusual sort of watercolor this one I actually pick it up off the

tip of the pencil and paint it down with the brush the

other technique that I use you'll see this a little bit later in the image is

that I actually add it like a pencil I color directly over the image with it

like a pencil so I'll list all the pencils that I've used today over at my

blog the link will be in the description below and then it includes a link to

Deepti's blog and STAMPlorations where you can see more of her wonderful

creations I'll be back real soon

alright so I'm gonna work on my sentiment now and this is from a penny

black set which is called sprinkles and smiles and I've got a piece of gray

cardstock it's called it's one of the American crafts ones and

it's called Stone and I've cut it down to the same size as the front of my card

I'm using my Misti to stamp on it because it doesn't take ink as well as

my white smooth cardstock so at least then I can just stamp this a

couple of times and I did need to do that on this image

actually I think I need to re-ink my versafine ink pad I just use it all the

time that little one. alright so I've got a top fold landscape card and I'm just

using my ATG to adhere the sentiment panel or the whole you know the card

front on the front oh go spit out the words to adhere the panel on my card

front and then I've cut a little piece of black and white cardstock this is

from the MFT s black and white paper pad and I have popped that up with some

black fun foam just so it gives a little bit of dimension to the card I've got

some white fun foam that's exactly the same height is the other one and I'm

just adhering my little bouquet that I have fussy cut with a small white water

I just thought that having the white black and white panel did help tie the

two together and there's a final touch I have added a few jewel drops some

Nuvo jewel drops so the morning dew and the pale periwinkle and

that's my finished card for today thanks for joining me I'll be back again real

soon with another using one of the blossom sprays

stamp sets from Deepti so I look forward to seeing you then until next time

happy papercrafting bye

President Trump's First State of The Union Address, What Are You - Duration: 1:56.

President Trump's First State of The Union Address, What Are Your Expectations?

"For security reasons, your upload has been renamed to United_States.svg_.png."

- What does that mean lol?

Anyhow, as you, I and most of the World knows, tomorrow evening, under the skies of the 'Super

Blue Moon', President Donald Trump will give his very first State of the Union Address

(Or as I like to call it, 'The State of the Onion' Address').

So (And this question is really addressed to Americans, as the rest of us on the planet

really have nothing to do with the Country or the address), what do you Americans expect

to hear?

What do you think he's going to address?

What would you like him to talk about?

and for AFTER the address, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on the address and the

information that is given.

It'll be interesting.

I watched the White House Briefing today and the press were squirming in their seats as

Sarah Huckabee Sanders told them all to be patient and that she'd not answer any questions

about tomorrow night's address.

As she did say though, "It'll be must watch TV"

Twelve Reasons Why Old Souls Have Such A Hard Time Finding Love - Duration: 4:09.

Twelve Reasons Why Old Souls Have Such A Hard Time Finding Love

1 - They have a strong sense of identity.

They know who they are, which means they also know, specifically, what they do and do not

want in a partner, what works and what doesn't.

While this is fantastic in terms of being able to choose wisely, it ultimately diminishes

their pool of prospects pretty significantly.

2 - Left unchecked, their hyper-intuitiveness can wreck relationships.

Often prone to overthinking because of how deeply sensitive they are, their capacity

to worry and make assumptions can break relationships that don't have a perfectly strong foundation.

3 - Many are in the throes of twin flame relationships.

They're attached or are with people who are not their "forever" people, rather,

intense connections they're meant to learn, and rapidly expand, from.

4 - They often have a greater purpose that must be attended to first – one that love

would distract them from.

They usually have to accomplish quite a bit on their own before they find love – this

is because old souls love deeply, and completely.

To be given love too soon would keep them from the other important things they are here

to do.

5 - They will not settle for anything less than soulmate love.

They require a lot more than just a surface-level, "average" relationship.

They absolutely will not settle, and sometimes, that means biting the bullet and being alone

for longer than what's "average" as well.

6 - While many people can bring them passion, few can bring compatibility.

Because they feel so deeply and others find them so fascinating, it's easy for them

to find infatuation, but to be with someone who is truly their best friend, deepest confidant

*and* lover is a challenge.

7 - They're less inclined to go out and meet people in modern ways.

Even if they have nothing against online dating, it doesn't always come naturally for them,

nor does finding a random hookup at a bar or being set up blindly seem appealing.

8 - They're natural healers, and often attract people who need help, not love.

And that attraction is reciprocated.

There's almost nothing that feels better to an old soul than being able to help someone

who truly needs it.

However, at some point in time, it's crucial for them to realize that they have to choose

a partner, not a student, or a charity case.

9 - They dislike the "game."

Dating is inherently exhausting to an older-spirited person.

Feigning disinterest for the sake of looking "cool" or knowing which faux pas other

people find off-putting isn't instinctive to them , and can stress them out more than

they ever find it "fun."

(how long after the first date do you text again?)

10 - Their standards are sky-high.

They expect a lot from themselves, so likewise, they expect a lot from their partners.

While this is a great thing, it's another quality that has to be kept in check: it's

more important to be able to accept the qualities that aren't deal-breakers than it is to

just write a person off because they're imperfect.

11 - They have baggage.

People who developed their inner selves quickly did so for a reason: they had to cope, they

had to grow, or they had to learn from some challenging experiences that life set up for

them.

While this is a great thing on its own, unresolved issues can often re-manifest in close relationships.

12 - They feel fear as intensely as they feel love.

The degree to which they love something is proportionate to how much they fear losing

it, or not being "good enough" for it.

They don't just love intensely, they feel everything else intensely too, and sometimes,

that gets in the way of the really good things in front of them.

All in all, that's the 12 Reasons Why Old Souls Have Such A Hard Time Finding Love.

Really cool information isn't it!

JANUARY IPSY BAG UNBOXING - Duration: 7:38.

Hello everybody, today I decided to film my Ipsy bag. Because I received him this morning.

And I really wanted to open him with you and to show you what there is inside. If ever you noticed that I carry the same makeup as in other one of my videos.

It is because I was on fire today, and I decided, because at first I wanted to film a video of makeup and I am say that later, I was going to film my Ipsy bag.

So let's go!

The things which comes in the first one, that is the way it is month. It is a small bag in the style sport. That it is really less my kind of bag.

Both things which I have, it is two masks in sheets mask.

I would like to know why it is always written in Spanish and in English. Why that does not tempt to you to write in French? No?

OK, I have one of it in the aloe. That it is the one has the aloe rescue.

Heis written, vitamins E and it is for everything the types of skins. And that there, it is pomegranate crush.

That there really seems to smell good. Pomegranate that smells good.

And that there, it is written that it is for, there are vitamins E, it is for everything the types of skins. WTF? OK, thus the Aloe rescue it is

written, for healthy, revitalized, and lush skin.

And the other is written, for radiant, fresh, and balanced skin.

We can keep it cool: Store in your refrigerator for extra refreshing benefits.

I was to see on the web site and it is written that we can keep them of several manners to this end masks.

There are three manners, the first one to enumerate before,

Flip it: Swap sides halfway through application to make sure you're using up all the serum.

Three was : Get a deep clean: Use right after a steamy shower, when the heat has opened up you pores.

Hey boy, my French/English translation is not very good today.

So the small card is like that. Game face. I will conquer.

So, the first thing come is from Mary-Lou Manizer.

It looks like has that like that.

I find that cute the small books like that for eye shadows.

Oh my god!

It is sad we do not see him, but oh my god!

We do not see it in the camera, but the color is just really, really, too beautiful! And the color is really pigmented.

Because it is a pale color and to shimmer, I imagine that we do not see it and because I have a crap lighting.

The something else comes of

I find that that looks like a little the color which I have at the moment.

OK, he is going to become matt. So, It is a red has lips matt. I have just understood him. Ahah! She is not fast the girl today.

That looks like a lot has the color which I have.

But in darker and in more matt.

To compare Color Pop. In the color Calypso and the one that I tried, I put just Calypso here.

So,if we see, Calypso is more pink than the other one. Other one he has a little more orangy color.

Then, the last two things which I have. I really have to hurry, because he has to stay in me 3 minutes on has camera.

It is one....How's that is called? We are going to have it.

An eyeliner.

An eyeliner..... felts.

Hey I am of not fast ben today. It is a felt eyeliner of

And I shall not open him at once, because I want to finish the eyeliner which I use at present. But I am very very going to use him soon and I am going you to talk again of it.

The last thing comes of

10-IN-1 complete correction

Leave in, hair perfector.

Apply known dry or wet hair, then comb according to your desires.

I do not know too much what that makes.

Is help for benefits to moisturize, smooth frizz, protect against heat, repair breakage, strengthen, protect from UV rays, soften, style, add shine, and treat split ends.

So, that's that.

so, It is all that there was in my Ipsy bag of this month. I hope that appreciate you to see what I received.

Because I like very much showing you my reaction and seeing that I receive.

I leave you on that, we see again each other very soon in a next video. Bye everybody.

It is my song of moment.

Winter/Summer Sunscreen For MATURE WOMEN'S SKIN - Duration: 4:04.

Hi there it's Judy from Judy Dee beauty and I wanted to share a little bit about

a sunscreen with you it's January it's Canada it's cold and so a lot of times

we don't think about sunscreens but we have to there is the thought that if

it's not that the if you're not at the beach then you don't need a sunscreen

but that's not true we do need a sunscreen I'm on the west coast and the

Pacific Northwest and we have a little thing that here because it rains so much

we don't tan we rust which you know lately hasn't been true we just went

through an ice storm and we have a lot of cold and if it gets a little bit

colder wait'll snow and we do get snow we have

beautiful mountains and a lot of skiing here we're known for skiing we have

Whistler and all kinds of beautiful scales but that's where you have to

remember your sunscreen so I do go away I get a little bit of a getaway most

times in the winter and that's great but I'm not gone the whole winter and when I

do get away even going for a walk the snow really can reflect up and you can

burn you can get a wind burn but you can really get some damage when you're out

on the scales so especially if you're a little drier there's an awesome

sunscreen I want to let you know about and that is this one here

it's Clinique and it's a number 30 it's oil free but it really doesn't feel like

it's oil free it's really quite rich and creamy it's a

mineral one as well and it has cha it's chock full of antioxidants

so it's for the face which I really like because I don't think that just because

you're using a sunscreen you have to you know not get the benefits of a face

cream so this one here I'll show you it's very nice I'll put some on my hand

there we go so if you've seen any of my other videos I really am quite picky

about sunscreen so I'll use it when I go away to Maui so

that's awesome but I really will use it here because in the winter we tend to

get a little bit drier because of the cold and we're indoors at least I am a

kind of a weather whip so I don't tend to go out as much so you know with the

forced dry air the heat and all that I tend to not go out as much so our skin

does get drier with the cold air so you want something a little bit richer

especially if your skin generally is a little more mature it does tend to get a

little drier this one I found really quite nice so see it disappeared in my

hand really quite nicely it just absorbs it's velvety and you can use this

anywhere but you know but I it's for the face so you want to use it on your face

don't forget your neck or whatever else is exposed in that coal depending on how

cold it is but it's a beautiful face cream with the sunscreen of 30 I use the

30 but there is a 50 the higher the sunscreen it tends to be a little bit

thicker but this one here it didn't leave a big white film you could see it

just disappeared like right away so I would try this one if you're looking for

something that's pretty good for sensitive skin I have quite sensitive

skin but again it's trial and error but I just you know really really liked this

one so it's the Clinique and it's called

Clinique 30 face cream and it has Sun smart it's called the Sun smart so it's

chock full of antioxidants nice for your skin and I really found it was quite

nice and rich especially for the winter time or if you're gonna be you know in a

little bit drier climate it really worked nicely for me so give it a whirl

"The best life you can live, right here in Ashby" - Duration: 1:55.

[Erin Peterson] I grew up in Ashby and so did my dad on the first farm right outside of town as you head towards

Pelican Lake, and I've loved this town my whole life.

I went to the cities. I did my training and medical education but the first chance

I had I came back here to Ashby to live and to raise my family and have my career

and I have not regretted it one minute since.

Our town is amazing at coming together when people are in need or just when somebody

is celebrating. We enjoy each other we enjoy our town, and we love to celebrate it.

There's so much opportunity to build a new house or buy a older house and fix it up.

You can work here in town and make a real impact right in this community

or you can choose to work in Fergus or Alec.

There's so many opportunities for employment in those larger rural cities that are just a short

20 to 30 minute drive away, and that drive is nice. Up here 20 miles is 20 minutes

and it's through fields and hills

prairies, wetlands, and lakes.

You get all four seasons, all the classic changes, and you get that just on your drive to and from work in the morning

It's actually a pretty enjoyable part of my day.

For a small community of only four hundred five hundred people we have a lot of amenities here

Not only do we have the central Lakes Trail

which allows you to bike and run and hike and enjoy the outdoors right on the edge of town

but we also have a great K through 12 public school.

We have an assisted living center, and we have a clinic in town, so through all stages of life

we have things to support you and to allow you to live the best life you can live right here in Ashby.

Can You Be Pro-Black In An Interracial Relationship? (Black Woman Perspective) - AJS #40 - Duration: 10:28.

oh there we go oh wait sir it's Srebrenica all right

hello and back to the show all right today on ask Johnny swirl I have a very

very special guest my good buddy Srebrenica and she's here to answer a

question that you all asked for this specific question in a past video and

today we're gonna answer it so stay tuned alright so we're back and I think

Srebrenica is the one qualified to and to help answer this because I was trying

to find the right person to answer this and you know Srebrenica with her

educational background and everything she's done she she speaks so well put

the comments below do you ever get somebody says you speak so well you know

do forgetting white people to say that but anyways let us know anyways um so

today's question is alright so we're back now give me an answer no I'm so let

me first ask you this what is your definition of pro-black in your you know

I mean in your eyes so being pro-black is understanding that black people have

gone through a struggle and knowing that we're still going through like the

struggles of what our ancestors have gone through and how we're basically

moving through society with dealing with those things that we are still know

facing today like racism there's discrimination in the workplace things

like that and as a young professional as a black man professional I experienced a

lot of challenges so understanding you know those struggles and

acknowledging them is being Pro black and understanding where those problems

came from so I think anybody can be a pro pro black or understand it but I

think a lot of people shy away from because a lot of people don't like to

talk about it so that's true and it's funny because when we did the first one

from the guy it was I asked someone you know if he'd be Pro black and

everybody's like well first define Pro black which is true because a lot of

people don't you know everybody right right right so let me ask you this then

you know for all the black women because our channel is predominantly black women

to watch us write what you do you believe that in okay well first asking

your personal opinion do you believe you can be considered Pro black and in an

interracial relationship absolutely I think you definitely can be Pro black

and I understand you know black power and still be an interracial relationship

with any other race that you are attracted to you

you can't put a label on you being Pro black and saying oh I'm only gonna date

black people some people do have everyone has their own preference if

somebody's first only date black people that's their business whether they're

white black Hispanic Asian but I don't think that being pro black you have to

put that barrier on what type of race you date because as long as the other

person understands where you're coming from there can be a shoe well that was

the big question cuz see I totally agree with you but a lot of people what there

are it was right as well and I'd like one of

the arguments was well if you're a like a white woman could never understand a

black man struggle right let's see my argument there say I've heard that one

before too I mean most people heard that is to say

and my thing with that was though but you're also talking about your love life

like if you connect with that person right it doesn't yeah they'll never

hundred percent understand yeah but the same time is anybody gonna totally

understand understand anybody else anyway right you know what I mean I mean

what's your opinion on that yeah I think it's a very great area because a lot of

people think that if they date someone outside of their race that they're

pro-black then they're dismissing the fact that they're probe lack or they

can't be pro flack and you are never gonna fully 100% understand the other

person that you're dating regardless of the race or racial background that they

have if I'm dating a white guy he's never gonna understand what it's like to

be a black person or a black female like ever no matter how many stories I know

conveyed to him or explained to him he won't ever grabs the full story of that

and I guess with dating it's like do you are you okay with them not fully

understanding that or can you meet at a middle point where they can acknowledge

the fact that you're dealing with those things and you're able to have a

relationship so in other words it basically it's custom and tailored to

each perfectly because you break it some people people can actually do that and

they can date someone and they can acknowledge that that person deals with

their own struggles that they won't understand right but they're still there

to support that person in how they can in their own way of how they can support

that person because everybody views everything didn't we all do love

differently we all right what I understand too cos like you know we're

in Cleveland which I've always tell you guys no you mean we're in the north I

mean somebody whose view that lives in Alabama you know I mean let song might

have a different view but you know I mean like rural Alabama especially there

have a different view than say we are so everybody's perspective is different as

well but even then even just your upbringing

in your own home right I mean everybody and just the way you naturally are right

here's gonna differently about the situation so that

is a good point it's a very good point yeah think about it like with being pro

black and I think about how people are raised by you know understanding race

understanding religion understanding different customs

different cultures like it's all about how you adapt to that person how you

connected with that person if you're gonna date that person you have to be

able to relate on models type of different levels so understanding and

relating to that person just on a racial level that's just one layer of the

entire but it's the entire cake so you have to really be able to identify what

your differences are and be able to kind of have a middle ground where you can

actually build on it into a relationship if that is what you're looking for it

now you're talking because that's like it's funny people talk about racial you

understand each other racial what about all the other things well the divorce

rate is 60 percent so I think there's other things you should be also worrying

about besides the race as in you know I mean can you you know just financially

you know I mean well yeah even you know you brought up a good point too is like

you know nothing now nobody ever asked this question cuz I guess it's about

race but even like religions right Muslims and Christians you know how

understand each other's you know I mean even people that have completely

different religions and they date no you I've dated someone that doesn't believe

in going to church and of course they don't work out but there's people that

date that are from completely different religious backgrounds and sometimes that

relationship works where they find a middle ground where they both can maybe

practice and acknowledge their own religions

sometimes I don't think that's what the ideal if you're going to get married but

you still have to find a middle ground with everything if that's gonna be right

what's you're working toward like this is really their business right that's

what they want to do I think you're just saying maybe you don't personally you

know I mean it right and that's the thing so everybody's different on that

subject so no absolutely but yeah I'm glad you brought up the point about

about you know meshing together well because there's so many factors besides

race that actually matter even though that's a big one you know I mean and it

is definitely a big one but there's other things that matter so so how much

do you think that family affects you know the whole pro-black being in a

ritual shit the situation that definitely has a

huge impact especially dependent on the the relationship the person has with

their family if that person's family is not used to them dating outside of their

race there's definitely going to be a lot of friction depending on the

perspectives of the family and your family has a lot of influence on how

you're gonna date someone or if you're gonna date someone sometimes people are

feel like say if a black man dates a white woman if her family is not

accepting of of him being black she may disconnect from her family or she may

not they black men or do it undercover and that kind of affects the

relationship because if she does do that where she's dating someone black then

how can she really make a relationship with him if she's not able to bring him

to her family and that's vice-versa if a black man was dating a white woman I

know with black men well black women sometimes feel a certain way when they

see a black man with a white woman and as a black woman I understand that

frustration sometimes too but at the end of the day we still all have our

preferences but it's still that it's still that same thought like okay so

you're gonna date a white woman because of the negative things that you say

about black women so I think that's where a lot of black women come from

when they see a black man dating a white woman because of the constant thought in

their head of things that they heard about why black man does but doesn't

President Trump's First State of The Union Address, What Are You - Duration: 1:38.

Are you tired of not having enough time in your day? - Duration: 3:23.

hello hello this is to bring additional value into your lives this video is for

all those people who complain about not having enough time in the day and the

issue here is not the amount of time because everybody has 24 hours in a day

maybe some people sleep eight eight hours per day some people sleep four but

at the end the issue here is productivity not having not not having

enough time so I have three tips here for those people who are struggling with

time management and productivity this should help you out substantially tip

number one every month schedule your vacation time ahead of time

so block out four days five days whatever you'd like to take but whatever

you could afford to take at the beginning every month

that way if deadlines come projects press everybody knows ahead of time that

your vacation is from the fifth to this to the eighth or the fifth to the ninth

or whatever it may be so that's tip number one you need to recharge your

batteries at the beginning of every day your energy levels are high you eat

breakfast your energy levels are high as a day ticks by your energy levels become

less and less and less substantial so you need these rest times not only

within the days but on a monthly basis to tip number two what is your one thing

it could be generating sales leads it could be write in a book it could be

researching a particular topic whatever it may be

block out for hours at the beginning of your day when your edger energy levels

are at the highest to focus on that one thing this way he will ensure that your

one thing gets done and I would schedule that in your calendar let people know

that from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. nothing nobody could reach you emails are not

going to come through text message you're not going to come through

you're not going to distract yourself with Facebook messages etc because

there's so many things in this modern day that it wants to take your time away

so I block out that time let people know if you're concerned about people not

understanding they will understand people will adjust and just reschedule

meetings if need be around those time periods and then a third productivity

tip is to plan every single week I'll spend at least one hour on Saturday or

Sunday to think about your annual goals monthly goals and weekly goals to see if

you're hitting those to see if you're on track or just see if you're on track or

if you need to change your plan or change your goals but at the end of the

day if you don't plan if you don't plan your plan to fail so those are three

tips that you could implement right here right now to bring instant value into

your life and soon enough you wouldn't be asking yourself or complaining about

not having enough time your day and your productivity skyrocket thank you and see

you in the next video

What Happens After You Death ? - Unlock Your Heart To Receive Eternal Life - Duration: 20:52.

Where are the dead

What happens to us when we die?

Why do we die would it be comforting to know the truth about death?

Paragraphs one through three

Question what questions do people ask about death and what answers to various religions offer?

These are questions that people have thought about for thousands of years they are important questions

No matter who we are or where we live the answers concern each one of us

In the preceding chapter we discussed how the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ opened the way to

everlasting life

We also learned that the Bible foretells a time when death will be no more

revelation 21:4

Meanwhile we all die the living know that they will die said wise King Solomon

Ecclesiastes 9:5

We try to live as long as possible still we wonder what will happen to us when we die

When our loved ones died we mourn and we may ask what has happened to them are they suffering

They watching over us

Can we help them will we ever see them again?

The world's religions offer differing answers to these questions

Some teach that if you live a good life you will go to heaven

But if you live a bad life you will burn in a place of torment

Other religions teach that at death people pass on to the spirit realm to be with their ancestors

Still other religions teach that the dead go to an underworld to be judged and are then

reincarnated or reborn in another body

Paragraph four question what basic idea do many religions share concerning death?

Such religious teachings all share one basic idea that some part of us survives the death of the physical body

According to almost every religion past and present we somehow live on forever with the ability to see

hear and think

Yet, how can that be our?

Senses along with our thoughts are all linked to the workings of our brain at death the brain stops working our

Memories feelings and senses do not continue to function independently in some mysterious way

They do not survive the destruction of our brain

What really happens at death

Paragraph five and six question, what does the Bible teach about the condition of the dead?

What happens at death is no mystery to Jehovah the creator of the brain?

He knows the truth and in his word the Bible he explains the condition of the dead

It's clear teaching is this when a person dies he ceases to exist

Death is the opposite of life the dead do not see or hear or think?

Not even one part of us survives the death of the body

We do not possess an immortal soul or spirit

After Solomon observed that the living know that they will die he wrote, but the dead know nothing at all

He then enlarged on that basic truth by saying that the dead can neither love nor

Hate and that there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave

Ecclesiastes 9:5 and six reads

For the living know that they will die

But the dead know nothing at all nor do they have any more reward because all memory of them is forgotten

also their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished and

They no longer have any share in what is done under the Sun

verse 10 reads

Whatever your hand finds to do do with all your might for

There is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave

Where you are going?

Similarly Psalm

146 for says that when a man dies

his thoughts perish

we are mortal and do not survive the death of our body the

Life we enjoy is like the flame of a candle

When the flame is put out it does not go anywhere

It is simply gone

What Jesus said about death

Seven question how did Jesus explain what death is like?

Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead

He did so with regard to Lazarus a man whom he knew well, and who had died

Jesus told his disciples

Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep

The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep

recovering from an illness

They were wrong

Jesus explained

Lazarus has died

John 11 11 through 14 reads after he said these things he added

Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him

The disciples then said to him Lord if he is sleeping he will get well

Jesus however had spoken about his death, but they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep

Then jesus said to them plainly Lazarus

has died

Notice that Jesus compared death to sleep

Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell

He was not meeting angels or ancestors

Lazarus was not being reborn as another human

He was at rest in death as though in a deep sleep without dreams

other scriptures also compared death to sleep

For example when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death the Bible says that he fell asleep

similarly the Apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had fallen asleep in death first Corinthians

15:6

Paragraph eight question how do we know that it was not God's purpose for people to die

Was it God's original purpose for people to die not at all?

Jehovah made man to live forever on earth as

We learned earlier in this book God placed the first human couple in a delightful paradise

He blessed them with perfect health

Jehovah wanted only good for them

Does any loving parent want his children to suffer the pain of old age and death of course not?

Jehovah loved his children and wanted them to enjoy endless happiness on earth

concerning humans the Bible says

Jehovah has even put eternity in their heart

Ecclesiastes 3:11

God created us with the desire to live forever, and he has opened the way for that desire to be fulfilled

Why humans die

Paragraph nine question what restriction did jehovah place upon adam, and why was this command not difficult to obey?

Why then do humans die

To find the answer we must consider what happened when there was only one man and one woman on earth

the Bible explains

Jehovah God made to grow out of the ground every tree that was pleasing to look at and good for food

Genesis 2:9

However, there was one restriction

Jehovah told Adam from every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction

But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it

For in the day you eat from it you will certainly die

Genesis 2:16 and 17

This command was not difficult to obey there were many other trees from which Adam and Eve could eat

But they now received a special opportunity to show their gratitude to the one who had given them everything

including perfect life

Their obedience would also show that they respected the authority of their Heavenly Father and that they wanted his loving direction

Paragraphs 10 and 11 question a how did the first human couple come to disobey God?

Question B. Why was the disobedience of Adam and Eve a serious matter

Sadly the first human couple chose to disobey Jehovah

Speaking through a serpent Satan asked Eve

Did God really say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?

Eve replied

We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden

But God has said about the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden. You must not eat from it

No, you must not touch it

Otherwise you will die

Genesis 3:1 through 3

You certainly will not die said Satan

God knows that in the very day you eat from it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God

knowing good and bad

Genesis 3 4 and 5

Satan wanted Eve to believe that she would benefit by eating the forbidden fruit

According to him she could decide for herself. What was right and what was wrong she could do what she wanted

Satan also charged the Jehovah had lied about the consequences of eating the fruit

Eve believed Satan

So she picked some of the fruit and ate it

She then gave some to her husband and he too ate some of it

They did not act in ignorance. They knew that they were doing exactly what God had told them not to do

By eating the fruit. They deliberately disobeyed a simple and reasonable command

They showed contempt for their Heavenly Father and his authority

such disrespect for their loving creator was inexcusable

Paragraph 12

Question what may help us to understand how Jehovah felt when Adam and Eve took a course of opposition to him

To illustrate how would you feel if you raised and cared for a son or a daughter?

Who then disobeyed you in a way that showed that he or she had no respect or love for you that

Would cause you much heartache?

Imagine then how hurt Jehovah must have felt when both Adam and Eve took a course of opposition to him

Paragraph 13 question, what did Jehovah say would happen to Adam at death, and what does this mean?

Jehovah had no reason to sustain disobedient Adam and Eve forever

They died just as he had said they would

Adam and Eve ceased to exist

They did not pass on to the spirit realm

We know this because of what Jehovah said to Adam after confronting him with his disobedience

God said you will return to the ground for out of it you were taken

For dust you are and to dust you will return

Genesis 3:19

God had made Adam from the dust of the ground

before that Adam did not exist

Therefore when Jehovah said that Adam would return to the dust he meant that Adam would return to a state of non-existence

Adam would be as lifeless as the dust from which he was made

Paragraph 14 question why do we die?

Adam and Eve could have been alive today, but they died because they chose to disobey God and thus sinned

The reason we die is that adam's sinful condition as well as death was passed on to all of his descendants

Romans 5:12 reads that is why just as through one man sin entered into the world and

death through sin and

So death spread to all men because they had all sinned

That sin is like a terrible inherited disease from which no one can escape

Its consequence death is a curse

Death is an enemy not a friend

How grateful we can be that Jehovah provided the ransom to rescue us from this dreadful enemy?

Knowing the truth about death is beneficial

Paragraph 15 question why is it comforting to know the truth about death?

Teaches about the condition of the Dead is comforting as we have seen the dead do not suffer pain or heartache

There is no reason to be afraid of them for they cannot harm us

They do not need our help, and they cannot help us

We cannot speak with them, and they cannot speak with us

Many religious leaders falsely claim that they can help those who have died and people who believe such leaders give them money

But knowing the truth protects us from being deceived by those who teach such lies

Paragraph 16 question who has influenced the teachings of many religions and in what way

Does your religion agree with what the Bible teaches about the dead

most do not

Why?

Because their teachings have been influenced by Satan

He uses false religion to get people to believe that after their body dies they will continue to live in the spirit realm

This is a lie that Satan combines with other lies to turn people away from Jehovah God

how so

F17 question why does the teaching of eternal torment dishonor Jehovah

As noted earlier some religions teach that if a person lives a bad life

After death he will go to a place of fiery torment to suffer forever

This teaching dishonours God

Jehovah is a God of love and would never make people suffer in this way

First John 4:8 reads whoever does not love has not come to know God because God is love

How would you feel about a man who punished a disobedient child by holding his hands in a fire

Would you respect such a man in fact? Would you even want to get to know him?

Definitely not you would likely think that he was very cruel

Yet, Satan wants us to believe that Jehovah tortures people in fire forever for countless billions of years

Paragraph 18 question worship of the dead is based on what religious lie

Satan also uses some religions to teach that after death

People become spirits who must be respected and honored by the living

according to this teaching the spirits of the dead can become powerful friends or

terrible enemies

Many people believe this lie they fear the dead and give them honor and worship in

Contrast the Bible teaches that the dead are sleeping and that we should worship only the true God Jehovah our

Creator and provider

Paragraph 19 question knowing the truth about death helps us to understand what other Bible teaching

Knowing the truth about the dead protects you from being misled by religious lies

It also helps you to understand other Bible teachings

For example when you realize that people do not pass on to the spirit realm at death the promise of everlasting

Life on a paradise earth takes on real meaning for you

Paragraph 20 question what question will we consider in the next chapter?

Long ago the righteous man job raised this question if a man dies can he live again?

job 14 14

Can a lifeless person who is sleeping in death be brought back to life?

What the Bible teaches about this is deeply comforting as the next chapter will show?

Bible teaches

Do not see or hear or think

Ecclesiastes 9:5

The dead are asleep they do not suffer

john, 11:11

We died because we inherited sin from Adam

Romans 5:12

You
