Hey Humber, it's exam time and we want to know what's the weirdest thing you've ever had to memorize?
oooooo...
Do you have anything off the top of your head?
I would say it's a tie between parabolas and Dr. and Mrs. Vandertramp.
Your timetable!
My Aunt has six dogs.
What are their names?
Charlie...
Devenir, revenir... AHHH!!
Ellie...
I know all the lines to "Are We There Yet".
Benny...
It's kind of all in my mind, but I don't know the order...
Gus...
Ice Cube is like you know, with them in the car and they're like "you're a bad man, you're a nasty bad man!"
(Laughter)
And...
♫ Trying to find people to ask them, what's the weirdest thing they've ever done ♫
Ivy.
I had to memorize this lifesaving song when you're doing CPR on somebody.
And she said, "Ok guys, think back to that scenario and remind yourself, hey!
I'm actually having a really good day, a good week, my day is fantastic!"

What does Off Grid mean? - Duration: 6:08.
Hey everybody, so in this video I am going to talk about what it means to be off the
grid.
Especially for us.
And I am speaking for a lot of the other YouTubers out there that are also off the grid.
Meanwhile, get a load of this!
So being off the grid, I have been asked quite a few times lately how you are going to maintain
your channel or how can you be off the grid if you even have a channel or what does off
the grid even mean?
And things like that.
Which is normal questions for sure.
So, what it is, is being off the electrical power system, so you are not tied into a company
that provides you power.
So you either don't have power at all or you have solar power, thats what we are going
to have.
Or a generator, thats, we will also have a generator as back up.
Or you have wind power or maybe you have power provided somehow through a in a river or something
where you somehow, you know, they make power that way somehow too.
I cannot remember what it is called.
So that, so its being not tied to that grid.
So your off that grid, right?
Another way is being....having your own water source.
You either have some sort of fresh water on your property through a spring or you have
a drilled well or a dug well or a well of some sort.
Or you have a spring down the road where you go and collect buckets or you get water from
somewhere else yourself or its on your property yourself.
Which would be the opportune thing to have and thats what we will have is a drilled well.
We also have a spring on the property that we haven't utilized for water yet but we will
probably figure something out down the road.
But we also have a spring down the road about 10 minutes that there is fresh water all year.
So thats off the grid.
Your not tied into a city water or anything like that.
Another thing would be your sewage, would be, do you have a septic tank?
Cause that is your own tank.
Or are you on the city's septic?
So it would be off that grid, it would be to have your own septic.
So you are not hooked up to the cities sewage system, right?
So those three things are all being off the grid.
So it is anything that you have to have somebody provide you.
So another thing would be heat.
If you have natural gas coming to your house through lines, that would be something you
are tied to.
We won't be tied to that so somebody off the grid would have wood heat maybe, or maybe
they would have their own propane they bring in or something.
What we will have is wood, so that say you couldn't get propane sometime, you still can
get our wood , right?
Cause we have lots of land for that.
So it is basically being not tied in or relying upon anybody else to provide you those sources
and no receiving a bill on account of those sources too.
I mean, I know some people have propane for their heat and stuff so of course they are
gonna get a bill of some sort, but its is being off the grid.
Alright, and about the internet.
You can easily have the internet at your house through a satellite or however, there is lots
of companies that do that nowadays.
We are not going to do that.
I am sure lots of the off the griders do that sort of thing or they do it on their phone
or something but we don't have any of that.
So what we will do to maintain our channel is we are going to go to town which is about
20 minutes away and we will be uploading our videos on there.
Every Saturday at 9, just so ya know.
Hit the bell for notifications.
And what we will do is we will work on all of our videos at our property, we will do
everything we have to do on our laptop cause all the editing software is on there, the
camera and everything, we have all that.
We can work on all the videos.
And then all we have to do is take it to town and there is a coffee shop there, there is
a library.
It is not a big town whatsoever but most people....there is wifi everywhere nowadays.
So we will just go there, we will upload it all on there and then boom, it is on YouTube.
You know very simply we can update the Facebook page, we can update the website, anything
to do with Mapleberry Farm we can update it.
So thats what off the grid means.
It means that you are not relying upon any system to provide you anything, right?
And it is as simple as that.
It doesn't mean that you can't have the internet, it doesn't mean that you can't be in the modern
kinda lifestyle or anything like that.
Like if you go to our place, it will still be very normal, it will be....flick a switch
and the light comes on, you get something out of the fridge, fridge will be run off
propane for us.
We are in the winter a lot, so the freezer will be outside, so a lot of the meat will
be locked down outside during the....we have 8 months of winter so that will be easy.
But it will be a normal house, it is not going to be some crazy thing.
So, and as far as how we are going to heat, its going to be with wood, with the cookstove
that will also cook the food, also heat the water and heat the house.
So it will kill three things at once, right?
And we have a septic for the sewer.
So, that is what it means.
It means having your own self containing system for all those things.
Its still completely normal, its not like you are living in the stone ages and you know,
things like that.
Its still very modern.
Its probably more modern homesteading is what we call it, off the grid modern homesteading.
And there are lots of people doing that but I have just had that question a few times
so, I thought I would address it.
Anymore comments that you have, put them below and like, subscribe and hit the bell for notifications
cause our journey is just getting started and it should be getting pretty good pretty
soon.
There is the black cat, she is huge, she is about twice the size of the gray cat over
there beside me and we will see you later.

EP 051: TraPIT - An Easy Way to Keep Your Audience With You - Duration: 6:33.
- Let's say you needed to go someplace new,
but you didn't have any directions to get there.
How likely is it that you would actually arrive?
Not very likely, right?
So we need to think through that same thing
when we're trying to get people to follow directions
or find their way to our new idea.
We need to give them where to go when, and some markers
to show that they've made the right turn.
Otherwise, they may never get there.
And aren't our ideas too big,
too important for that to happen?
I think so, and that's why we're talking about a way
to solve for that this week on Find the Red Thread,
and I'm your host, Tamsen Webster of TamsenWebster.com.
(upbeat music)
Now I know you are not leaving out all of the information
between where somebody starts with your new idea
and where you want them to end up.
Of course, you have all sorts of important points
and illustrations, just like you would have
important landmarks between somebody's house
and yours if you're trying to give directions.
But are you telling your audience, your reader,
your customer how those landmarks string together?
How they go from where they are to the first,
to the second, to the third, to your house?
If you're not, then you are running a high risk
that people won't follow you to your new idea
because they can only follow where you lead, and they're
only going to follow something that makes sense to them.
So what does this mean?
It means that we need to do a couple things.
We need to make sure that we are not only
giving people information, but that we are attaching
that information in a path, that we are giving them
a Red Thread, if you will, to follow from where they are now,
to where you want them to go.
And we need to make sure that they're getting enough
information to understand why they're there,
what's important about that, and how to get
to the next point that you're talking about,
how to follow you logically to the next point.
Now, that's actually pretty simple. So, there's a process
that I use with some of my clients and that I've developed
over the years working with TEDx speakers to help writers
as you're putting your messages together
come up with at least a draft way to make sure
that those turn-by-turn directions,
those transitions between points, are actually there.
And I call it the TraPIT Method.
Big T, little r, little a, P-I-T.
Now, what's that all for?
Well the T-r-a is for the "transition."
It is for the actual words that you're going to use
to move from one point to another.
Now what are those words?
Well, I just used one, and that was the question that was
probably in your mind, that was the dialogic question
from a previous episode that raised up in your head.
Remember, even if we aren't actually talking,
you're talking back to me in your head
and so whenever you give a piece of information out,
think about how somebody would react to it.
What question are they going to ask?
What's the next piece of information they're going to want?
Not the next piece of information you want to tell,
what's the next piece of information they want?
Use that as the transition.
Sometimes it's going to be a question,
"So, what are those words?"
Sometimes it's going to be a statement,
"So, here are the words that are going to help you do that."
Either way, you put that transition first.
Now, I said it was TraPIT, so what's the P?
Well the P after the transition
is the "point" that you're trying to make.
Think of that as the landmark, as the place that you know
you need to get them to before they will go with you
any further, that thing that they have to understand and
agree with before they'll move to the next point with you.
What's the I?
Well the I is the "illustration" of that point.
That can help you make sure that you aren't just giving
people a whole bunch of information, but you are also giving
them opportunities to see that information at work.
Think of it back to our metaphor.
It's describing what the landmark actually looks like in
addition to telling them where it sits at what intersection.
Illustrations can be, as we've talked about
in previous episodes, everything from quotes, to stories,
to data and research, to thought exercises,
application, live coaching if you're doing it on stage.
All of these things are ways to illustrate the point.
So, we have transition, point, illustration,
and then the last T is "takeaway."
What's the whole conclusion that they need
to take from that particular point?
You've moved them into the point, you've illustrated
the point, what's the takeaway from that point?
What's the new piece of information?
Now, the good news here is that once you give them
that new conclusion, well here's, this is what this means,
now they're going to say, "Great, I've reached
"this particular landmark, I understand why I'm here,
"I recognize it, I see why it's important."
There's going to be a new question in their heads,
back to that dialogic piece.
What's that next question, what's that next thing
that they're going to need to answer?
So, your message, your piece of content, even,
is just a series, really, of these little TraPIT blocks:
transition, point, illustration, takeaway.
Transition, point, illustration, takeaway; you follow that,
and no one will ever get lost on the path to your new idea.
I hope you enjoyed this week's episode
of Find the Red Thread.

You and Your Credit Score - Duration: 2:27.
Hi, I'm Catrina Langley.
Welcome to Mortgage Mondays, your resource for getting answers to commonly asked mortgage
and home-buying questions.
Today we're going to take a look at credit.
This person asks,
"How can I prepare my credit score before starting the home buying process?"
One thing to note is that there are varying, complex scoring models used by creditors to
determine your credit.
Only the creditor can explain what might improve your score under the particular scoring model.
However, they typically evaluate these 5 areas of information:
First, payment history.
Not paying bills, as well as having an account referred to collections or declaring bankruptcy,
can negatively affect your score if that history is reflected on your credit report.
Second is debt.
Many scoring models evaluate the amount of debt you have compared to your credit limits.
If the amount you owe is close to your credit limit, it could negatively impact your score.
Third, is Credit History Length.
Models generally consider the length of your credit track record.
If the first time you ever did anything with credit was...yesterday for example, that may
have an impact on your score.
But that can be offset by other factors, such as timely payments and low balances.
In any event, it's a good idea to start as soon as possible.
Fourth, new credit.
Many scoring models look at "inquiries" on your report when you apply for credit.
If you have applied for too many new accounts recently, that could have a negative
impact on your score.
So basically, if you feel a sudden urge to get 20 credit cards, resist it.
And finally, Your Current Accounts.
Many scoring models will take into account just how many accounts
and what kinds of accounts you have.
For example, under some scoring models, having loans
from finance companies may negatively affect your score.
But it is generally good to make sure you have
a healthy number of established credit accounts.
"How can I prepare my credit score before starting the home-buying process?"
A simple way to prepare is just to you're paying your bills on time.
Once the application is made, don't rack up new debts, don't open new accounts, and
don't take out new loans because all of those can have an impact on your credit score.
Thanks for watching this episode, everyone!

English Phrasal verbs with COME - Duration: 1:44.
Hi there. Welcome to Harry's World of Words and Phrases and English in a
Minute. Today I want to look at phrasal verbs connected with the verb COME. So
we're going to use: come on, come in, come up come out and come about. Okay. So come on
we can use it in two ways. When we want to hurry somebody up: "Come on,
come on, we're going to be late. We're going to miss thefilm. Or if we say it in with a bit of a
exasperation. "Come on, you don' really believe that". It sort of means how could
you believe what you heard. It's a bit of a fantasy or a bit of a story.
Come in can be an invitation: "Come in and join us for dinner". "Come in and have
a cup of coffee". To come up. And we often use it with with come up with an idea.
So we're sitting around a table and we're having a brainstorming session and
we're asking people to come up with new ideas. To come out and again using with
come out with. So Heinz has come out with a new brand of soup. Canon has come
out with a wonderful new camera that everybody is going to use. Come out with.
And come about. We often ask: "Well, how did that come about?"
Meaning "how did that happen". You know, how did that accident happen? How did it come
about? Okay. So phrasal verbs using the verb
come with the prepositions on, in, up, out and about. Okay. So as always remember

Fruits are Mandatory in Your Diet - Sadhguru 2018 - Duration: 2:43.
when we were growing up the variety of fruits that were there naturally for us
to pluck and eat in every season there is some fruit I have been in jungles
with 2-3 weeks by myself without any outside support always there was
something to eat but today I'm telling you today I walk into the jungle
I will die within four or five days because there's nothing to pluck and eat
so I want you to understand the plight of all the other creatures the monkeys
they're all invading cities because there is really nothing to eat so this
change has happened in just a matter of 3540 years so fruit is an important part
of our diet as far back as megasthenes when he came and he rinse and when he
came and caught earlier when he wrote his treatise all three of them have
mentioned how in the indian diet there is an unusually large segment of fruit
it seems here and saying somewhere says I have not read it myself
it seems he says that Indian people are unusually intelligent mainly because of
their fruit consumption their intellect his shop because of that and whether he
said it or not I am saying it is hundred percent true this much we know
suppose your friend is sick and in a hospital you go there with what biryani
mean Colombo fruit so you know it definitely works so you have to get sick
to eat the right thing but if you do the right thing maybe you will not get sick
there is substantial studies in the world to clearly show if 30 percent of
our diet becomes fruit 40 percent of the healthcare bills in the world will come
down so in India right now fruit consumption is at 4 percent and that to
this 4 percent is calculated as per capita but it's only in the elite
segment that people are eating fruit down below once a month also is not
eating a single fruit children through the mango season they go without
eating a single mango because it's no more available you have to go and buy it
it cost 25 rupees a child will never get to eat
