Hey sweeties! Its Shappi, welcome back to my channel, is so good to see you back :)

Im so happy that my last video about 5 tools were welcomed so warmly!

it was one of my most viewed videos last month so its a clear sign that i should make more of them

which is aweosme beacuse i have plenty of ideas for such videos

its a nice video format, not too long, not too short

i can concetrate on 5 things and if i think of more - i will make another video part 2

and today we jump into wig tools!

ive came a long way in wig making

when ive started in cosplay, i was using my own hair to cosplay - i had such a long, brown, thich hair

i will put picture of one of my first costumes, Zelda

then ive started to use basic, cheap chinese wigs from ebay

no cutting, no stylisation, just fresh from the bag

those hair are boring, flat

and it was not the best as well - the colour of course matched the character, but thats all

currently, i cannot imagine wearing any wig without previous stylisation

i believe that wig from the bag dont look good enough

and well made wig can make your cosplay - or ruin it

If i can give you some advice, aways check your reference picture

check how does your character look like, where do the hair come, how is the bang styled

check if you have to cut the bangs to look good - in anime it may look okay

but on human it can be silly, everyone has diffrent head

Of course i dont exect everyone to be able to cut their own hair

at least most of the people, i know theare are some of you who can do it - you are my heroes and magicians to me

no thank you for me, im good with hairdresser, I was 4 when i cut all of my hair myself and was bald

it was a sign to never cut my own hair again!

for people like us who cannot handle it on ourselves, I have a way!

first thing i will talk today are wig heads

In my opinion those are one of the most usefull items to style wigs

all we have to do is to put the head on some mouting

we can put wig on it, pin it with needles and style it then

i think i went trough all possible wig heads options

ive started with styrofoam heads

you can get it everywehre, chinese stores, ebay, all this

they are very light, good to travel with, to send the wigs in boxes

they are super cheap but get worn out very fast

so i went level higher

and that is plastic mannequin heads

you know, the one you see in stores to show products on it

they are very durable, myself I have one like this

people in Poland know it from my posts in wig sale groups, little Voldemort ;D

she has no nose [*] i saved her from garbage can, SHE NEEDS LOVE TOO

and it worked so well for me for many years, i still like it

those heads are cheap, about 5 usd,

you can get them in stores with equipment for stores

you can get all body pieces there, especially torsos which are usefull for armors

when you get that head - make sure to pick male head

women heads are way smaller, smaller than real life heads to be honest

its the same with torsos, always get the biggest sizes if you want to fit in it

if you want realistic size - pick male head

its only and biggest disadvantage is the fact that those heads are made out of tough plastic

no pins will go trough this plastic, you gotta drill some holes which you can use later for one or two pins

mine had a hole on the top on the skull

i put needle trough it or screw if the wig was too heavy

but that was still only one point where i could fix the wig to the head and it was uncomfy

wigs were often slipping from it

its good optino, better than styrofoam but still, not the best

after a few years of plastic head ive decided to get better gear and i got professional wig head for wig making

you can gert this head in various sizes so its easy to match your head size

if your head is naturally big, its a nice solution for you

you can size your head and then match it with store options

my head is well made

its some kind of tough styrofoam inside

not sure what is it exactly

its way more durable than any other materials ive seen for wig heads

its covered with natural fabric, cotton like?

which is awesome, is the fact that you can pic your needles trough every spot on this head so you can pin your wig safely in every spot you want!

this head will be more expensive than the others ive talked about

mine is from Gearbest, costed me about 30 usd

its more expensive but i think of it as an investment for my wig styling tools

ive made a video about gearbest, i will link it somewhere here! And thats all about wig heads

so by now you should have the wig pinned to the head. Now its time to style it

usually the fresh wigs have very long bangs - which is a good thing beacuse its better to shorten them than have too short hair

long bangs also cover your hair line very well

i have to usually cut them for myself

Ive started with simple, sharp scizzors but honestly they gave me the straight, ugly cut which looked very unrealistic and just bad

then i found hairdresser scizzors with those little "teeth" which helps to get the cut more natural

but recently ive bumped into video of cosplayer i really adore, ZonZombi and she showed one tool which changed my cosplay life

she showed THIS!

and now you may be asking, Shappi, wtf, why comb had changed your life?

AHA! I got you, its not a simple comb! I mean it is from one side... but the other is spoecial, it has razors!

they are hidden in this plastic handle of comb

those razors can be taken out, cleaned, changed if they are worn out and then you can brush trough

so you can brush out the hair you cut and the cut line is unbeliveable natural!!

its awesome, its super easy and you cant go wrong with it

it looks like natural cut, no clean, sharp scizzors cut at all

we can brush out the hair we dont want.

the hair line is wonderfull.

i cannot imagine cutting hair without this tool, i often prefer to even cut the wig with it on the lenght

i would rather spend more time brushing it and have nice cut than cut it with scizzors and have ugly, sharp end of the hair

I love it, its very cheap, i got it for 3 dollars on Aliexpress i think, I will try to find the link to the auction if I manage to dig trough to it

i have a few of those thingies laying around in my house, super usefull stuff! Its truly my discovery of last year

wig is pinned, bangs are cut, but lets say - the wig was used before and it needs to be brushed out

you have the problem with knots in the hair

what should you do?

in this situation, never, ver try to brush your hair just like that! You can get it worse

it wont work! dont use force

the wig will be destroyed, hair can get more tangled and you can even get the brush stuck in it

in worst case scenario you would have to cut it :<

what you can do, and i honestly recommend it

is using hair silks which help to get the hair smooth

you can use it before brushing

i have been using this old, Avon hair silk i got years ago - im afraid its too old to use it on my hair but its good for wigs

i put a few pumps on my brush and brush it in my wig slowly, always brushing from the ends to the top

this is my way of getting the worst knots out of the wig

if the wig is only a little bit tangled, i simply spray it with conditioner in spray

mine is from shwarzkopf, i use it for my own hair and sometimes for wigs

it also smells very nice!

so a few pumps of spray do wonders

it will be easier for you to work with it, brush it and style.

those products are very cheap, they cost about 10-12 usd, depends on the brand

i got mine in Rossman store, its popular in the Europe

and since you can use it on your real hair - just simple profit!

its a goodthing to invest in, its very usefull to get your hair in good condition :)

okay so we got out wig cut and ready to go to a con!

NOPE! Dont go like that just yet

we gotta do one thing which is neccessary to keep your wig in good shape for as long as possible

to keep the wig in the state you want it to

you will need a good product to style it

there are plenty of diffrent hair sprays in Poland, the normal, every day ones and the ULTIMATE ONES!

3 days untimate action, holds trough tornado!...bullshit lol

there are such products and of course you can use them but i have one brand which i thik its the best

this hairspray fell down from heaves to cosplayers and he said :"IVE GOT YOU" and omg, HE GOT US

its got2b from Schwarzkop

its one of the best hairsprays ive used for wigs, of course you can use it to your own hair as well!

he holds so well!

i use it for all the crazy spikes, bangs, swirls

everything that is supposed to stay hard

its quite efficient, im using it for so many wigs and it never ends

2-3 layers of spray is enough - you van of course use more but after that you will start to see ugly, white maks from the spray

it shows that there was a lot of product on it and its very visible, for example on the photos

its not available in Poland, we have to get it from some polish sites or get it abroad

its available on polish ebay

Ive got my last cans in Germany during Gamescom, ive got a few extra cans and they are in my room, waiting to be used :)

its a good investement so every time you see it - get it!

after 10 hours of the convetion the wig will be dead, thats sure!

especially if the wig is heavy or very detailed

but when it comes to fringes, spikes - it will do the work!

if we are talking about heavy wigs, its time to show you the 5th product!

its the thing that holds my wigs on my head during whole convetion day

there is nothing worse than the feeling that your costume dosent hold on your body

its the worst scenario when your wig falls down while you walk around the con showing your real hair or net

i think the most tragic situation is when this wig falls down from you while you perform on stage

Every time i see this happen during cosplay contest it breaks my heart

i know how horrible this person must feel...

there are two things you can do in this situation -

if the hair falls on stage, just take it off and continue

keep up with the performance, its nothing worse to just sit on the stage and struggle

the jury will for sure apperciate it and wont cut too many points from you

and we will me proud of you to handle such an awfull situation!

The other option is to work before it happens so this scenario never comes to life

so we use something that holds the wig on us

im using this little trick for such a long time, just a simple combs!

i cannot count how many times those combs saved my butt at the con

its so small,yet it changes your wig wearing expierence

this comb can be glued or sewn into inside of the wig , i usually put it on my center of the head area

so when you put your wig on, the comb holds to your real hair and heeps the wig in place

this way the wig will never fall and will hold to your hair.

if the wig is too heavy though, make sure to place the comb this way that it doesnt hurt you or press just one place on the skull

it will of course hurt but you can also lose your hair!

it happened to me :<

dont worry, its an extreme case

it was just stupid of me, it was the first time i wore this heavy wig with combs

I was wearing Soraka, if you dont know her , its this elf character with crazy ponytail

i had about 3-4 wigs combined into this wig so it was untra heavy

there was no other way to keep it on my head, other than using some combs

i used only one, smaller even than this one comb, which pressed my head under the bangs area

it hurt a bit of course but i thought thats okay, i can handle it, at least wig looks glorious

and it held so well, i was so proud! but when i took off my wig i had bruise on my head

it hurt me so much! And after a week i lost hair from that spot so i ended up with bald spot on my head

the bald spot was so ugly! I had luck that the spot was under my long bangs so I could cover it up with it :)

noone really noticed, unless i told them of course

it passed somehow, my hair is short and grows very fast so i survived that well :)

but it was a real lesson for the future! Now i always put few combs for heavy wigs

the combs are wide as well so they put the gravity force on bigger spot

put a few on the top, a few on the sides of the hair

so the wig wont hurt you while wearing

aaand thats it about wig stylisation tools!

at least first 5 tools

of course there are way maore things i could show you

but maybe we can make part 2 about that

if you guys are still interested

for now its only 5 things!

ive talked SO MUCH today, yet im looking at my cosplay room and i see so many more items for wigs i could show you :)

Lose Weight With the Robot Diet | Chris Masterjohn Lite #45 - Duration: 6:40.

If you want to lose weight listen up.

I am about to share with you the simplest

weight loss diet ever. I call it the robot diet.

Hi I'm Dr. Chris Masterjohn of

chrismasterjohnphd.com and this is

Chris Masterjohn Lite where the name of

the game is "Details? Shmeetails. Just tell

tell me what works!"

And today we're going to talk about how

to use the robot diet for weight loss.

To eat like a robot is to eat the same thing.

In the same amount. Day after day after day after day.

You might be saying why would I want to do that?

Well, the consistency of the robot diet

substitutes for the need to track calories.

Now, yes many people can institute a

handful of simple rules without tracking

anything and spontaneously induce a

caloric deficit and lose weight.

If you can achieve that, great.

But, if you can't and that doesn't happen,

doesn't come to you spontaneously, you

need to take matters into your own hands.

And the most reliable way to attain a

caloric deficit is to track your calories.

I had given a previous episode,

that I will link to in the description so

that you can refer back to it if you'd like,

of this same approach that was based on

calorie tracking. And what we did in that

episode was we said I'm going to track

my calories and track my body weight

every day for a week. I'm going to hope

that eating the way I usually do,

I'm usually not gaining or losing any

weight so I should by the end of the week

have no net change in my weight.

You might go up a little bit from day to day,

down a little bit from day to day, but over

the week you're averaging out similarly.

As long as that's true you know that that

amount of calories, without doing any

calculations, you know that that amount

of calories empirically is a caloric balance for you.

So then you take 300 calories off in the

second week per day and you try to meet

two goals. Number 1: you want to lose weight

at your desired rate. And then number 2:

you want to feel good. You don't want to

be hangry all the time, you don't to be

be cutting into your sleep. As long as

you're losing weight and you feel good

you're at the sweet spot for a sustainable

weight loss and you just eat the same

amount of calories unless things change

and you need to revise them slightly over

time to stay in that sweet spot.

As long as you stay in that sweet spot of

losing weight and feeling

good you just eat the same calories over

time for 3 or 4 months in most

cases; when you achieve your desired

goals you then stabilize. The problem

with that approach is that tracking

calories is time consuming. Yes the apps

like My Fitness Pal and Cronometer

make it easier than it ever has been, but it's

still time consuming. The robot diet can

take that same approach and cut out the

time-consuming nature of tracking calories.

You still need to know what you're eating

and you might need to make

a list of what to eat and record it in

that sense, but once you have your list

you don't need to record things day to day.

You still need to measure things so

that you are eating the same amounts of

food every day, but you don't need to track

and record what those measurements are.

You don't need to input them into an app.

So it saves a lot of time.

Following the same approach the first

week you eat the same food every day

in the same amounts. You model it after whatever

you're currently eating; you just take

out the variation. If in that first week

you can ensure that your weight is

stable on average then you look at that

diet and you look for about 300 calories

of food that you can remove. Ideally it's

not your favorite food because you don't

want to suffer for 3 or 4 months

and ideally what you're taking out isn't

the most nutritious thing there because

you're not trying to get a nutritional

deficiency. But you take out 300 calories

of something that seems expendable in

those senses to you and then you once

again start eating the same food every

single day modeled on this 300 calorie

deficit. Just as in the previous version

you look for losing weight at the desired

rate and you look for feeling good.

If you're in that sweet spot you just keep

eating the same thing every day until you

achieve your desired goals. In most cases

I'd recommend going for 3 or 4 months.

Using the robot diet over the course of

January through the end

of April this year, I lost 13 pounds and one inch off

the narrowest part of my waist and two

inches off my love handle region. For me

that was a success. I wasn't overweight

I was just trying to lean out

and I've achieved my desired goals.

Although this was not the funnest

diet ever, it certainly worked and it did

not require a lot of time.

As I stabilized I can simply add a certain

amount of food that leads back to weight

stability and then I can start tinkering

with substitutions that I can make that

are in caloric balance. So, over the

course of 4 months I didn't really

need to think too hard. Now whenever I

have time I could say, "Well, what can I

put in that diet that would have the

same caloric value?" and I add a little

bit of variety as things go on. As time

goes on I learn a little bit of variety

that I can put in and I still maintain my goals.

If you eat like a robot, you too

can have robot abs. But if you walk like

a human, you talk like a human and you

act like a human, no one will know where

they came from.

BEST WAYS To Make Artwork For Your Font - Illustrator Typography Tutorial - Duration: 10:49.

what is up people welcome back to Satori graphics home of design content

right here on YouTube he's typography Tuesday the series we're

bringing you guys a graphic design tutorial or a video every single Tuesday

that's based around typography design if you want to skip the intro moved the

timecard in the corner to jump right into today's tutorial now last week on

typography Tuesday's I showed you guys my new fun I made myself script Satori

and also showed you how to use font self to actually generate a font file of um

artwork but today I'm going to show you guys how to make the artwork itself with

two different methods in Adobe Illustrator so follow along and jump

into my tutorial today here at typography Tuesday on how to design your

artwork for your very own font in two different methods

this is the first method of creating your very entire graph you are working

in the ability straighter in involves the use of a Wacom tablet or any drawing

tablet for that matter if you don't have a drawing table where you simply don't

want to listen to this method skipped the timecard in the corner for the

second method in today's tutorial you want to plot the rule is to access the

guides and to do this press command will control I and then simply drag the

guides down to fit your hand lettering topography into you can adjust the color

of your guides as well as them being dots or lines in the illustrator

preferences right here if you right to control click the artboard you can lock

and hide the guides if you feel that you need to we are going to be creating a

calligraphy brush for a typography artwork so go ahead and open up the

brushes window here a lot of these settings will be personal preference to

you and your hand lettering for the third and final setting should be set to

pressure so when you press harder on the drawing tablet the line will become

thicker this is essential for some quality hand lettering typography

artwork now these settings might take some time

to experiment with and to get right when you already take the tablet pen and

start drawing your lettering between the guides if you feel this headings are not

right go into the brushes window and double click the brush here

you can then adjust the settings and once you're ready apply them to the

current stroke I will just draw some more hand lettering to show you how the

Tidy of the letters after generating them I forgot to bring down the guide

with the ascender which will represent the higher stretch our letters like

before you can write or control click to hide unlock or lock the guides your

lettering is now a stroke instead of a vector path and if you want to edit the

lettering fully we want to outline the stroke which will enable us to

manipulate the data path once you have outlined the stroke you'll probably see

overlapping areas on your typography artwork which needs to be tidied up

simply access the Pathfinder window and then use the align option on each

individual letter secondly we can go into the simplify option here and click

preview to see real-time changes it's always better to have a little anchor

points as possible on your typography whilst keeping the general shape of your

lettering

press a on your keyboards access a direct selection tool which would allow

you to move anchor points around and stretch out the handles furthering your

manipulation of your typography people have asked me how do I get large anchor

points well if you have illustrator CC you can adjust the size of our anchor

points in the preferences which can be very handy indeed

lastly the amazing smooth tool be very handy indeed for you to edit typography

you need to locate the smooth tool and then select the lettering with the

selection tool and then click back onto the smooth tool carefully smoothing out

the lettering or click an anchor point over and over again take your time to

utilize these techniques to make your very own typography artwork in the

illustration so that was the first method on how you can design artwork for

your very own font using a debut illustrator we're going to be going into

the second method now and also let me know in the comment section below which

one these methods you find more useful and which one do you think you'd use to

make your own funds and also of course have you enjoyed today's tutorial drop a

graphic design content the second method of making your very own typographic

artwork uses a pen tool I'm going to show you how to create fluid and

professional typography using the pen tool to begin you might want to maybe

draw out your typography onto a sheet of paper then scan or snap a picture and

upload it to illustrator as a template to do around for the purposes of today's

video let's say this letter on screen here is actually something I created and

mocked up onto paper and uploaded its illustrator

you can of course these image trace function but I feel it's very useful to

know how to use the pen tool in a professional way to make typography

here I have a calligraphy style letter locked down as a template to draw around

you can press ctrl or command I to open up the rulers and then we need to use

vertical horizontal guides the place just where the letter touches when we

use the pen tool we can use the tricks and techniques that we've just covered

at 90 degrees angles but never use 45 degree for typography I will show you

what I mean now so carefully place your guides just touching the letter 90

degree angles

with the pen tool click but with Alt + Shift held down and then drag our handle

in the direction that you want to head

never bring the handle pass you're posing guide so in this point here I

will not move it pass to guide on the right you now have a curve line to which

you can move to the next point hold down shift M if you click and drag to make

the handles keeping things in 90 degrees angles the entire time we can use alt to

adjust the handle curves taking our time to be precise with everything shifts

will help keep things level also from the new point to repeat the process of

holding down alt and shift together and then drag our handle and then make the

new point if you carry on with this technique carefully you'll be able to

draw out perfectly smooth and crisp lines using the pen to an illustrator

it does take some time to get used to but it is the most methodical and best

way to work with a pencil when creating lines illustrator especially for

typography such as this practice this technique and master the pencil with

typography

so there is today's video on two different ways that you can make your

very amar work for a fun design using a de Beulah straighter i showcase to you

two different techniques today but which one did you think was the more useful

and a more practical method for making a font using euro my work for me

personally i prefer just to get out the Wacom tablet and just freehand draw and

then take the tools from Adobe Illustrator to kind of smoothing

everything out and finalize it but this is a contrast to how I used to be I used

to actually like to draw my font out on paper then you know as I showed you

upload it to illustrator and then use the pen tool to go over it you know I do

think you have mastered the pen tool to actually do that method I don't know

we're not all amazing at using the pen tool I know I certainly wasn't for a

very long time so that's why I showed you two methods today in satara graphics

typography Tuesday's video I'm actually working on my subscription-based website
