How to Talk with Kids About Sexual Abuse - Duration: 1:23.

Have you talked with your kids about sexual abuse?

Okay.

So...

Uhhh...

It's about...

Okay, it can't feel awkward.

Let's make it easier.

Frame it around safety rules like,

"Always ask me first."

You still have to ask me first

before you get in his car.

But it's coach.

Doesn't matter.

You have to ask me first, okay?

Got it.

Emphasize that it is important,

even if it feels uncomfortable.

Okay, this is a little weird but,

if anyone ever tries to touch your private parts...

Mom!

Do we really have to talk about this?

We really do.

And you have to tell me

if it ever happens, okay?

Weird, but I will.

Use everyday moments

when you and your kids are relaxed.

Review the rules often.

Sweetheart,

nobody can touch your private parts, okay?

You remember?

No secrets if anyone tries, okay?

Okay, daddy.

Alright.

Finally,

keep talking, and ask questions.

Have a good time?

Yeah.

What did you do?

Well...

Talking with your kids about sexual abuse

helps keep them safe.

The more you talk,

the easier it gets.

[ X-File ] Serie #2: All the truth about Tiffany Trump - You will be very excited - Duration: 6:14.

[ X-File ] Serie #2: All the truth about Tiffany Trump - You will be very excited

She's a model. Tiffany walked in her first New York Fashion Week show in February 2016. According to BBN Channel, she graced the catwalk for designer Andrew Warren (whose grandson is a member of the aforementioned Insta-famous club) in a stunning navy blue ensemble.

Tiffany also starred in editorials and various advertisements for the line and is known for sporting Warrens designs during nights out on the town. Shes very close with Ivanka.

Tiffany and half-sister Ivanka are reportedly very close. We would see each other on all of the holidays and talk to each other frequently, Ivanka told BBN Channel.

Shes my little sister! Ive been close to Tiffany her whole life, and I really love her. Their relationship has grown even more now that Tiffany has graduated from college and is back in New York.

Its wonderful because shes right here in New York, Ivanka said. Shell come with [me and husband Jared Kushner to our country house] on weekends sometimes, and shes always with my kids. Shes a really good person..

She was an intern at Vogue. According to The New York Times, Tiffany Trump landed an internship at Vogue in 2011, with the help of her half-sister, Ivanka Trump.

After graduating from college in June 2016, Tiffany interned in the communications department at the eyewear company Warby Parker. Oh, and by the way, her summer internship at Warby Parker was paid, which surely made her business-mogul father proud.

She wants to go to law school. The New York Times said Tiffany is currently studying to take law school entrance exams, which doesnt seem to surprise her friends.

Law school completely makes sense, a friend told the Times, adding that Tiffany is a strong student who is driven to prove herself. The pal added, A law degree would bring added value to a really accomplished family..

Im really interested in fashion and technology and kind of just want to be at a place thats innovative and new, where I can actually implement change and have a voice, Tiffany told BBN Channel.

Well see what I find. The magazine noted that she hopes to attend law school within the next few years..

She's job hunting

Although she has set her sights on law school, that hasnt stopped Tiffany from hitting the job market. Speaking to FOX411 in April 2016, Maples revealed that her only daughter had already gone out on her first job interview.

She had to go to New York…Its amazing, Maples said. My first instinct was [to tell her], I feel so bad I cant be there with you, Maples, who was competing on Dancing With the Stars at the time, added.

[But] I dont think I would be able to be there with her anyway! Shes probably glad Im not there, [because I would say] can I just walk you there? Did you eat before? Weve gotta make sure you get food first! Yeah, probably for the best.

She flies coach

Just because her last name is Trump doesnt mean Tiffanys life is always first class. In fact, according to a friend, you might just find her in economy on your next flight.

Unless shes with her dad, shes happy to fly coach, the friend told The New York Times.

When we flew together from Philly, we were in the middle seats at the back of the plane. The friend added that the dress Tiffany wore for her speech at the Republican National Convention had been purchased the day before off the sales rack at Bloomingdales.

Is she the Jan Brady of the Trump kids?. Though her profile increased dramatically as her fathers presidential campaign intensified, Tiffany Trump has often been dubbed by the press as an outsider, an afterthought, and the Jan Brady of the Trump kids.

According to an interview with Tiffanys mom in The New York Times, the recent college grad would like to get to know her father better and spend time with him like his other children did: by going to his office and watching him work..

That office will now be an oval one, and early reports show no sign of Tiffany breaking into the inner circle.

In fact, she is the only adult offspring of Donalds who was not named to his White House transition team. Daughter Ivanka and sons Eric and Donald Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner accounted for a fourth of the 16-member executive committee, reported Fortune. TeachingBooks.net Qualitative Text Complexity Rubric - Duration: 4:13.

TeachingBooks.net.

Today I am going to show you how to complete

Text Complexity Measures Rubric

for the books you and your students are reading.

These rubrics

provide you with an interactive, visual way

to guide conversations around text complexity.

For example what is the theme,

how complex are the plots, what kind of background

knowledge do you need to understand the text.

Conversations that we have been having with teachers

and students as long as we have been teaching literacy!

To find the rubric, I am choosing

The Book Thief. There are two types of rubrics

on TeachingBooks, one for literary text

and one for informational text.

For this title we will be using the literary text rubric.

I want to view

the qualitative measures for The Book Thief.

There are multiple ways to access the results.

The quantitative Lexile level

places this title at the 2-3rd

grade reading level

yet the qualitative measures clearly

place the text as exceedingly complex

in most areas.

This qualitative data is compiled from

educators like yourself to create a reliable,

crowdsource data point.

Add your professional knowledge of this book

and others. Click on

the add your own assessment orange button.

When adding your own assessment

to this crowdsourced measurement

you may be required to enter your email address

and name.

Here's the interactive rubric for The Book Thief.

Reading through the descriptors

of the meaning tab, where would you place the theme?

Slightly complex with one level of meaning,

or were there several levels of meaning

making the text exceeding complex?

Perhaps it is somewhere in between?

Choose the level of complexity

based on your knowledge of the text

(not considering your readers), then select

the orange next button.

This process repeats itself

through the next three tabs.

Click submit for

review (if you get bounced back

to the rubric, there is an incomplete block.

There will be red text to assist

in completing the rubric).

The blue chart is your Qualitative

representation of the Book Thief.

You can now adjust the chart, by clicking on

the circles and dragging them to the location

you prefer.

When you are satisfied

with your final results, click finish.

Now you can compare

your results to those of other professional educators

who have completed the rubric.

We recently

added 3 new questions to the Qualitative

Text Complexity Rubrics.

These questions were adapted from the Southern Poverty

Law Center's Teaching Tolerance Curriculum and can be

used to guide text selection and conversations.

Once the rubric has been submitted

a new page will reveal optional questions

about Cultural Representation and Diversity.

Your answers will be saved

with your copy of the rubric and can be accessed

when you are logged in as an educator

under My Account, My Rubrics.

These changes can be used to help

bring discussions about culture and race

to the forefront of literary conversations.

In summary: You can find and

complete qualitative text complexity rubrics

for any book you are reading.

To find the rubrics, select a title and

view or submit the Text Complexity.

Are You a Builder or an Operator? PART 2 - Duration: 1:50.

Hello everyone, good afternoon! In this video we will speak about the operators.

In the previous part we discussed who are the builders but we also have to be

aware as leaders who are the operators in our team. The operators are the people

who are responsible and take part in the repetitive tasks into the rational business.

For example I'm here in one water bicycle and it's a concrete

operational work you drive the bicycle with repetitive tasks within a concrete

framework which can create boundaries and there is a varied well-defined process.

The people who are operators feel very comfortable

within the process, within their comfort zone.

They are absolutely fine to repeat the same tasks on a daily basis and they're

motivated when they have the support of their leader who protects

them from actions and tasks which are outside of the process. The benefit is

that these people are very much reliable and they are easily motivated by being

within the process. They have the skill to improve the process because

they really identify themselves with the process and this is where they develop

their strong sides. Another strong side for the operators is that they're very

much reliable on the long term while the builders might be more difficult to get

motivated for the long run within a company or a team. The operators are the

ones who are more loyal and they require less effort to to be kept

within the team. So it's very important - check who are your operators or your builders

and act accordingly. Wish you well, bye-bye!

The #1 Mistake All Investors Make - Duration: 9:49.

Every investor, makes this devastating mistake at

some point usually early in their investing lives

not only can it be difficult to recover from for most it results in a scarring conclusion to their adventure into the otherwise

potentially lucrative world of investing this huge mistake and how to avoid it

coming up...

I am so glad you're here i really do enjoy our time together

by, watching this channel, you'll be gradually building your rapidly growing, highly, diversified

net worth one video at a time. On january 1st, 2016, I went off on my own. I was officially

investing full-time, before that point, when there was no pressure—when stock research

was just something I would do in my spare time—I'd been successful at

identifying high-quality, undervalued stocks in which to invest. But once that was my full-time

gig, I felt like I needed to do more, like I needed to identify more

opportunities than the four or five stocks I was finding

each month. So I sought help

from others. I paid for several monthly stock selection subscriptions. I constantly

had CNBC playing in the background. I started

listening to others to find and implement investment ideas.

Sometimes these ideas played out as expected. Sometimes, of course, they didn't. And then there

was that one time—and this is what set me straight—one time the trade went

horribly wrong. My position was crashing. I was bleeding money. I didn't know

what to do. I was actually able to find a clip,

a recording of some of whom I can only

assume is going through a similar situation. It at least does a good job at capturing that

consuming panic that you might feel. As you watch this clip, consider if you've ever found yourself in a similar position—

tackling similar emotions. Let me know in the comments.

Here's that recording...

WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!

It's hard to watch, isn't it?

It's even harder to live through. Well, you don't have to.

So what happened? What was the difference between my pre- and post-

2016 success and that brief stint where I experienced several

overwhelmingly stressful trades? I stopped relying on myself and on my

own research and conclusions. I stopped playing out every possible scenario in my head before entering a trade.

I started

relying on others.

I just, want to check on my investment I made on Friday. Yeah, zero balance as of this morning... I don't know

what that hot tip was, but you'd have been better off putting that money in a coffee can.

Hi, Walter. This is Kenneth Parcell, NBC Page Program, what's the status of my investment?

And that was my crucial mistake. I've since repented

and recovered, but this is a lesson that almost every investor learns the hard way at

some point. It is dangerous to rely exclusively on others investment ideas!

Why does this happen? How do investors find themselves in positions they

don't fully understand and an emotional wreck when those bets, don't play out exactly as expected?

It starts with the fact that we're surrounded by so many

experts...

professionals or not, who are more than happy to share with you the next hot thing. They

want you invested in there too, maybe because they

like you ...or maybe because they get some sort of validation out of it. Whatever their motivation, think

about all the influences you have in your life trying to give you those recommendations.

You have the screaming heads on tv: "This is it!"

"I'm going over the top right here. BUY! BUY! BUY! BUYBUYBUYBUYBBBBBUUUY!!! I am buying the market"

"Right here, right now, cuz I know more than anybody!" The well-spoken,

experienced or

professional trader: "You mean to tell

me, that if I put you in Union Carbide at a 7 and took you out at 32..." "Texas Instruments at 11 and took

you out at 47..." "US Steel at 16, took you out at 41..." "...you wouldn't be saying to me, right now,

Chester pick me up a few thousand shares of Disney, on the spot, right now... come on..." "I mean, honestly Kevin, honesty..." And the wise

successful friend or associate: "Here's the pitch...

Wind power.

Bandwidth.

Chinese market." "Oh God..." "Just think this time next, year

you'll be so rich you can run for political office without having to pretend to be a fundamentalist!" It's okay to have someone you trust

give you ideas, but it is dangerous to invest in those ideas without any further

consideration or

access to information.

It is a viable strategy to hear them out and then—and this is the essential part—do your own research

to supplement their investment thesis and come to your own

educated conclusion. I get it; there are countless

investment opportunities in the world, and if it's not what you do professionally and it's not your passion, that can be an impossible

mountain to sift through.

But the ideas you hear from others need to be the start of your investment process not the end!

Alternatively, if you have

full access to when and why that

person-you-trust makes each and every trade—so you know when they're entering, exiting,

increasing, or decreasing their

own positions—that too could be a viable strategy for you. I'm reminded of a young professional investor, who,

while stranded in an airport, had a brief chance encounter with

his lifelong investment role model. They began discussing their current theses on different markets.

One in particular stood out to this novice investor. It was a trade made by the veteran that

was the exact opposite of his own.

Before he could ask for more information, the seasoned trader was boarding

his flight. This weighed heavily on the young pro; he didn't like

betting against his investment hero. He decided that he—the young

one—must have missed something. So he reluctantly flipped his position. He trusted the veterans opinion.

The next day he suffered a significant loss in that position before pulling out.

Turns out the young professional had been right. It's too bad he doubted his own research. It appeared

as though the old pro had lost his touch.

Later that week, he received a call from the veteran asking how

he was doing. the young trader explained that he was a little upset after the loss and expressed concern for the veteran

because he knew that the veteran's bet had been much more significant. The old professional was confused.

He told him that he had made money on that position every step of the way. In the few

hours after they had spoken in the airport, the market moved exactly as he had anticipated.

Then his research suggested that it was about to go the other way, so,

unbeknownst to the young investor, he profitably switched his thesis,

and consequently his position.

The young professional was trading on an entirely different time horizon than the veteran.

He didn't have access to ALL the information and his portfolio

suffered for it. One of my best friends is this way: he knows my track record, and he constantly

wants to know the specific

stocks that I've identified as having 100% or more potential return. I've always been hesitant to share...

Not because I don't want him to profit from them, but rather because he doesn't know exactly

when my research might indicate that I make a change to that position and I don't want to forget to tell him.

Because it could be a couple of years from now, but it could be hours from now.

That's why I cringe when I see people investing their hard-earned cash

without any more than a hot, at least for now, tip to guide them.

What should they do next? That's an important part of any investment decision. That's actually one of the main reasons I started my Patreon account.

So that I could provide that friend—and anyone else interested—with real-time updates. So you know

exactly when and why I make every single move. So whenever you hear the next good idea—and

inevitably you'll hear one—whether it comes from me or Jim Cramer or your best friend—I don't care how

amazing

and urgent it sounds—do not invest while relying exclusively on

someone else's tip. Do your-future-self a favor and either dedicate the time necessary to research and come to your own

educated conclusion or

make sure you have open,

ongoing access to ALL the information.

Do you have a story like this? Where you, or someone you know, followed blindly someone else's advice, and it didn't turn out so well?

If so, I hope you didn't lose too much! But I'd love to hear

about it, because we can all learn from it.

Let me know in the comments. And if this is your first time here, I hope you click subscribe and then that

notification bell, so you can join us on this journey

to build your rapidly-growing,

highly-diversified net worth! I want to thank you for watching!

I sincerely look forward to spending more time with you in the next video...

3 Things You Should Give Up RIGHT NOW - How To Be Happy - Duration: 1:47.

Number one give up worrying about things you can't control

most people get stressed because they're resisting their situation they can't

accept the fact that they have problems the solution accept your current

condition then do what you can with what you have to solve them go with the flow

and adjust yourself to the situation as stated by Bruce Lee

notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked while the bamboo or

willow survives by bending with the wind number two give up living a life that

other people want for you sure your parents willing want what's best for you

but only you know what's best for you not them nor anyone else so whether your

friends or relatives say you should do this or become that just say thank you

for their suggestion and still follow your heart as your happiness and sense

of fulfillment depends on it number three give up what doesn't work

sure persistence is a good thing but never giving up on something that

doesn't work is simply stupid as put by Albert Einstein insanity is doing the

same thing over and over again and expecting different results

if there's something you should never give up on it's finding better ways to

do things and solve problems by continuously experimenting and

innovating therefore if you want to be truly happy you must give up worrying

Introduction to Make them Mainstream - Duration: 6:22.

Make them Mainstream!

Supporting and celebrating females in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

through tutoring and STEM education.

We provide females in STEM or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, the tools they need in order to be the best female in STEM

they can be and the best tutor that they can be.

My name is Danielle Connolly, and I am the founder of Make them Mainstream.

I graduated from the University of California Riverside (UCR) in 2017 with my Bachelors

Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Mathematics.

But my journey wasn't always easy. I can tell you guys,

I was dumb as a post in elementary school.

I couldn't read until the end of second grade.

And math? Well,

Forget about it.

The only reason I was able to keep advancing in my education was because of personal tutors.

From first grade to the end of my undergraduate career I was tutored.

In the eighth grade I became a tutor myself, now I have been a tutor for over ten years. An entire decade.

Having personal tutors and being a personal tutor gave me the confidence and skill set

I needed that allowed me to succeed in my academic career.

I was one of 6 girls in my class that graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree.

But those numbers were higher than I had seen before.

Throughout my entire life my interests usually meant I was the only female in the room.

But the impact of the lack of females in STEM never really hit me until college.

Through my love of tutoring and passion to change the scientific culture Make them Mainstream

was born.

Make them Mainstream provides females in STEM a place where they can come, free of charge,

to find inspiration and learn about the women who came before them.

It is a place where you can find mentors through the histories of these women.

A place for you to say "if she can do it, then so can I!"

We are supporting and celebrating females in STEM through educating women and girls

about the women who came before them.

But more importantly, these stories of these women

they're for YOU.

When you are up at 3 am working on a project you can come here and find your encouragement.

This is a space for community.

This is a space for you to find a commonality and a community with other females in STEM,

no matter your background.

These stories or history lessons are for you to find encouragement, a mentor and someone

who looks like you because Representation Matters!

These stories are also for young girls so they can find the right role models.

Role Models that show them they can grow up to be whoever they want to be regardless if that's

a scientist, a technologist, an engineer, a mathematician or something else entirely.

But celebrating and supporting women its only the first step.

Make them Mainstream also provides you with the tools you need to develop the next generation

of STEM.

By learning to become a tutor you not only develop yourself as an academic, a leader,

and a mentor, you develop the next generation.

Tutoring gives you a way to directly affect the world and it's future, one student at

a time.

We are supporting and celebrating females in STEM through tutoring and STEM education

because its best way to develop the next generation.

You will find the tools you need to tutor. Like this coloring and activity book that we created. We want you to be the best tutor you can.

So we want this information to be as accessible as possible for you and your future students

[Culture] 5 Things You May Not Know About - Florida (US) - Duration: 5:25.

Welcome to The Forking Tomatoes!

Today we're going to learn about five things

you may not know about Florida.

Here we have a native Floridian

Hi, I'm Kaley, I'm, yes, from Florida, Miami,

specifically.

So, first one is...

This one's pretty easy.

They drink it at sports matches?

No!

it's the most popular drink in Florida?

Maybe that's true but that's not what I'm going for.

No!

Okay, so

Gatorade, which is, if you don't know,

a very popular sports drink in all of America, not just Florida, was invented in

Florida, at the University of Florida, which coincidentally is where I went to university.

And it's called Gatorade because the

mascot of the university are the Gators, Gator-ade.

Makes sense.

And I'm pretty sure it's probably the biggest sports drink in the US, if not other countries so

Maybe not.. yeah! I realized when I did this that

Not many Europeans

know about Gatorade but yeah it's pretty big in the States, so...

It's a nice fact about Florida!

km = kilometers

Distance to the sea.

Kind of!

From a specific place

From any place | anywhere.

It's no more than 60 miles to the sea.

Yeah! So no matter where you are

in the state of Florida,

you're never more than 60 miles, which is 95

kilometers, from either ocean,

or the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean, which is

pretty cool. | Yeah it's pretty cool!

This one you're probably not gonna guess.

It's weird.

They're very common in Florida.

Yeah,

They destroy property.

Also true, sometimes.

They...

are...

protected?

Also true, but

So,

Florida is the only place where...

Okay, you know what an alligator is? | Yeah.

And you know what a crocodile is? | Yeah.

Florida is the only place, I think in the world, where

they exist in the same environment.

There's no other place in the world, I'm

pretty sure or maybe it's just the States,

but I'm pretty sure it's "world",

where alligators and crocodiles live together in the same swamp area

That is pretty cool!

This is a date. | This is a year, yes.

It's when...

a city in Florida was founded?

Yes!

Miami?

No.

It's not so much about...

founding..| which city, but about...

the time...

Okay!

I'll just tell you. | Yeah!

So, 1565 is when

the city of St. Augustine, Florida was founded,

And this is the oldest...

This makes it the oldest city, like settled city, in the United States.

I was kind of close!

You were close, yes!

So it's the oldest city,

so it was before even other, you know, more famous settlements.

And it was by the Spanish.

Didn't know that.

Elevation is...

Florida..

But that would make it... what?

Very flat?

Exactly

So it is...

It is the flattest state in the United States?

Yes! Exactly!

She guessed it, yeah!

It's the flattest state,

Its average elevation is only a

hundred feet above sea level, which is I think

30 kilometres or something...

No! Meters!

Sorry 30 meters or something like that

so it's really flat

No Hills or anything

Like where I'm from in England.

Yeah!

Some of those are below sea level.

Yeah I think England is also very, very flat.

Like... compared to Florida.

That's it.

And that's five things you may not know about Florida.
