Waching daily Apr 3 2018

- I've got such a special video for you today.

As I've mentioned in some of my previous videos,

my husband and I are expecting our first child.

And by the time you're watching this video,

he's probably already arrived, yay!

But since I knew I was gonna be taking some time off

to focus on my recovery and spending time

with all of my boys,

I didn't want to leave you guys hanging.

So I have arranged for some special guests

to fill in for me while I'm gone.

And today I am kicking things off

with some of the Holly G's VIPs.

I reached out to my VIP list and invited my super smarty

VIPs to share their expertise with you today.

If you want to become a Holly G VIP,

sign up now using the link in the description below.

I am beyond thrilled and proud to have these special guests

here with me today.

So let's go check it out.

- Hello Holly G, I'd just like to say congratulations

on the new addition of your family.

And that you inspire me all the time

to keep going with my channel.

And my one tip is if you have a USB microphone,

if you plug it into your Mac laptop or Mac computer,

If you press the FN key on the lower left of the keyboard,

it opens the microphone and then you can

dictate into Pages your dialog.

You can go back into Pages

and edit your text once it's recorded.

And then copy and paste that into your YouTube video,

or use it how you like.

And hopefully make the process a little smoother.

Yeah, so I'm making a full length video of that

and putting that on my channel.

Again, congratulations, and wish you all the best, bye.

- Hey guys, Amanda Berlin here, with three things to do

to get media ready.

The first thing to do, figure out which media

is right for you.

Can you generate a big mass market message,

go for television.

If you want to target a niche

and try to really bring in clients, try podcasts.

Second thing to do, figure out what you have to say.

You have to approach media with a story.

Generate your profile story, your personal

and professional journey,

or a particular how-to story that targets your expertise.

Third, upgrade your media mindset.

That means remember that you have something valuable

to say and that there are people out there

just waiting to hear for you.

The media also really wants to hear from you,

as great content that you generate and great ideas

will help them do their job better.

Learn more about me at amandaberlin.com

and I can't wait to see you out there in the media.

- Hey everyone, it's me, Bonnie L. Frank.

And I am here with two video tips.

So tip number one can be used for regular video

that you produce you know, for YouTube or Vimeo.

And it can also be used for live steaming.

And I'm a daily live steamer.

You might even know me from Periscope or Facebook Live.

So video tip number one is look into the camera.

I am on my MacBook right now, I'm on my desktop

and the camera's this teeny, tiny little green light.

And that's what I'm looking at.

Because that makes it looks as though

I'm really talking to you like I'm looking in your eyes.

Look how it looks when I watch myself on the screen.

Now I'm watching myself on the screen.

Well that doesn't look like I'm talking to you at all.

So look into the camera.

And number two, tip number two,

please have a call to action.

My call to action for you,

is check me out on Twitter @bonnielfrank.

- Hi there, and welcome

to the Holly G studios YouTube channel.

Do you have a goal with your videos?

Do you have set a goal where you want to see yourself

within a couple of months or maybe even a couple of years?

Where are you going with your videos?

Do you want to create content

just because you want to create content?

Or do you actually have a story to tell.

The more you can show in the video,

that you are working towards a bigger goal,

the more it will represent you as somebody that knows

what they are doing.

It sounds pretty obvious, actually.

But it's very easy to just create a video

because you want to create a video.

I mean I did it.

I created couple videos that are pretty much worthless

because they're totally out of context.

So that's not something that you want.

If you want to grow your business with video,

you should create a video that actually means something.

And that is part of a bigger story.

So a fun thing that you can do, is you can write

your story on a piece of paper.

And make a video that contains little parts of that story.

So that all of the videos are part of the full story.

Try it out and see what gets you.

So that's it for this video.

My name is Maurice from AniMouseMusic.com

and I will see you next time.

Oh, and don't forget to subscribe to Holly G's studios.

Right down here.

Bye bye.

- Hey guys, it's Veronica McDermott from Words My Way.

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

This is my New Tube series,

10 Ways to Get People to Read

What you Write in Your Blog Articles.

So tip number one,

is know who your audience is.

So knowing who your ideal client is,

is the basic need for creating content

that actually gets absorbed and read and valued.

If you don't know who your ideal client is,

you need to find out.

Instead of just saying, I write blog articles for everybody.

Writing blog articles for a particular market

is actually going to serve you better,

and serve them better.

Because obviously you can tailor make your content

to be more meaningful and more relevant

if you know who you're writing for.

So don't forget to ask yourself, who am I writing for

next time you start a blog.

Thanks very much, and I look forward

to seeing you again soon, bye.

- Hi, so my name is Dr. Jenny Beck.

Dr. Beck, and I run a YouTube channel

about Sign Language and chiropractic.

And today I just want to give a quick tip,

if you have a patient, a client, someone that has

a hearing loss, and you want to communicate with them,

learning some basic signs is a good idea.

But also, make sure that they can see your lips

when you talk to them, look them in the eye,

don't yell, make sure that you speak clearly

and communicate and also learning some basic signs

is a great idea and a great way to communicate.

So that's just my quick tip for the day.

And thank you.

And I'll see you later, bye.

- Before we start, just a quick shoutout to Holly and Justin

and congratulations on your new game changer.

This little bundle of joy is gonna keep you running.

And there will be ups and downs, take it from this mama.

It's going to be the best ride of your life.

So one of the things that people mention to me

all the time is that they love looking at my office

when I'm shooting my videos.

And they don't always type it in the comments below,

but what they do, is when I see them or they'll comment,

yeah, I saw your office or they feel like they know me.

'Cause they are in my space.

I don't shoot it like in my bedroom or in my bathroom.

Or wherever else it is that people do it.

And yes, I will go on when I do Facebook Lives,

kind of all over the place where it's the best sound,

and the best lighting, but the biggest you know,

tip and trick is to make it feel authentic

and make it feel upbeat.

So there are some strategically placed things going on here.

And it's not perfect.

Just like this video isn't gonna be perfect.

Because I'm not perfect.

So you know over here you've got some

you know, messy papers.

You might see a little nudge of that over there.

Over my shoulder here,

I have these Feel the Love transformation cards.

These are cards that I use, I sell online,

but I'm also an event planner.

So I have this like duality going on.

So you'll see there's a few Voted Best Event Planner,

Best of Westchester, some of the accolades

that are part of the environment, without kind of screaming.

It just makes the people watching going, hm.

What you got going over there?

There's something visually interesting.

So, I hope that helps.

Most importantly, just get in front of the camera

and practice.

Because the more you do it, the less scary it becomes.

And then you sort of realize,

this is how you can have your voice.

Alright, thanks so much for watching,

and I'll see you on the other side.

I hope to see some of your videos.

- If you're watching this video and you're pregnant

or you know someone who is,

I'm gonna share a common conversation I have

with pregnant women and a myth about the postpartum

transition and life with a new baby.

I'm Shalene Massie, I'm a certified doula

and childbirth educator with rhythomfbirth,

rhythmofbirth.com

and I've been supporting couples

on their pregnancy and birth journey since 2012.

Most women I meet with, share how scared they are

and freaked out about the thought of pain during labor.

Birth involves pain, and intensity

however you're planning to birth.

Whether you're planning to birth unmedicated

to with an epidural or medicated.

It's so important to prepare during pregnancy

to cope with the intensity of labor.

Whether that's intensity of decisions that have to be made,

or coping with the pain.

I teach practices and techniques to help women

to learn to cope with the pain of labor

physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Also, you may have heard, or your care provider

might tell you that the postpartum transition

lasts about four to six weeks.

That's the physical transition.

The mental and emotional transition

can last up to three years.

It's so important to have a plan in place

and a support system in place during pregnancy

to minimize the risk of postpartum depression,

and to experience postpartum peace and bliss.

I encourage you to begin preparing for your birth

and postpartum transition, and I'd love for you

to contact me and learn the ways that I can help you

prepare and support you on your journey.

- Hello there, Gracie Ruth here.

Digital strategist and messenger marketing expert.

So you would ask what is messenger marketing?

Well messenger marketing is simply the act

of connecting with your clients and prospects

using a messenger app.

It is similar to email marketing,

but the difference is that it's instant.

You connect with your clients, and there's an interaction.

You start a conversation.

You nurture a conversation and it goes down into delivering

better customer service, and delivering a new funnel system.

In this case, it's communication.

Because the new way to market, the new marketing

is relationship marketing.

- That was awesome.

I would like to thank all of my guests.

I highly recommend you go and check them out.

I've included all the VIP's YouTube channel links

in the description below.

So go on over and give them a subscribe,

and if you like this video, make sure to like it,

and if you know someone else who might like it,

go ahead and share it up.

I talk about all things business cinema,

which is video with a plan, a purpose,

a system and a strategy.

So if you wanna learn more about business cinema,

make sure you're subscribed to this channel,

and click the bell so you can get the notifications

when new videos go live.

And remember, you're someone's reason to smile.

So don't give up.

Facebook Cambridge Analytica Data Privacy - How will it affect you? - Duration: 8:23.

In this video, I'm going to look at the Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, Privacy

controversy and what it means for you. Hi, my name is Sue Ferreira, founder of

Wisdom To Wealth Mastery, where I show you how to take all of your wisdom - you know -

all the knowledge you got up here - brain dump it, take it to the world, using video

and all of those cutting-edge tools of the web, and today we're certainly

looking at cutting-edge tools - good and bad. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel

by clicking the "Subscribe" button below, and then click the bell, so you will

receive a notification every time I upload a new video. OK, back to Facebook,

Cambridge Analytica and your privacy. How will you be affected? Well, that depends a

lot on how you use Facebook now and how you plan to use it going forward. I

see all this fuss as an example of what we humans always do.

You know, we create and we push boundaries. We create a new technology

and for a while - well that new tech - it just kind of goes like the Wild West,

where anything is allowed. It just roars and we keep pushing

boundaries, until there's an event, where we say "Hang on, wait a minute, I'm not

sure this is a good thing", "I'm not sure I like this, it feels wrong", "this has gone

too far" and then, we pull back, we take stock, we reevaluate and then, we take off

again on a slightly adjust adjusted course. How did all this come about?

Let's go back to say, the mid-2000s. You likely know the years

2005 to 2007 were pretty transformational for the web, in many

ways, because YouTube appeared in 2005, Facebook 2006 and the iPhone later in

2007, but YouTube and Facebook were enabled in part by the appearance of

Hadoop, which allowed data collection and analysis, on a scale far greater than we

had ever had before. When new technologies come

along and they combine in this kind of "perfect storm", they basically

explode. They feed off each other and they produce an effect far greater than

the sum of each one of them individually. They disrupt. They revolutionize our

world, for good and for bad, because they're really just a reflection of

anyway. Interestingly, there's a 2009 article in "Wired" - the link is

below - where the Facebook/Cambridge Analytica

issue was predicted. In 2007, - this is difficult to believe - when Obama

announced his candidacy in February of 2007, Twitter had only just started and

the iPhone didn't even exist, but by the 2008 US election -

remember Obama's Blackberry? I mean who has a Blackberry today and how

revolutionary that seemed. In the 2008 election, for the first time

Facebook and social media were used to reach out and influence the electorate,

but mainly just with videos and messages, not so much big data analysis in the

background. However, fast forward four years. By the 2012 Presidential Race, both

Obama and Romney had Facebook apps, where people could give permission for their

data to be used. Romney's social media campaign, like John McCain's in

2008 was no where nearly as effective as Obama's, but it appears that

both parties worked within Facebook guidelines, as during the 2012 election -

as those guidelines were then. Then Facebook changed their guidelines.

Cambridge Analytica was formed in 2013, with the mission and this is

quoted, directly from their current website landing page - "Data drives all we

do. Cambridge Analytica uses data to change audience behaviour. Visit our

commercial or political divisions to see how we can help you". Soon after this Ted

Cruz began to use Cambridge Analytica's services and by 2015, The Guardian

newspaper had published an article - again the link is below - suggesting that the

boundaries were now being pushed further, because that's what we always do. Now

Facebook data was being used without permission and the data was being used,

perhaps, to cross an acceptable boundary, where now psychological profiling was

being used. This wasn't being used before and this is kind of a thin, soft

boundary to cross. It's very difficult to define. Then the boundaries were

pushed further and in the 2016 election, the issue now

became what we're dealing with now - whether the Psychological Profiling

by Cambridge Analytica went further, with a mission to deliberately subvert

the course of the election. That's going to be a difficult one to work out, but

isn't this what all parties, always do? I mean, way back it was on the stump you

were trying to convince people, then newspaper ads, opinion pieces on TV and

radio and we've moved on to social media. So where do we - where do you want to draw

that line of what is acceptable? And where is Facebook in all this? There have

been suggestions that Facebook was pro- Obama in '08 and 2012, but they sure

didn't turn away Cambridge Analytica, which lies firmly in the "other camp" in

2016 and they made a lot of money selling that data. For me, there are

two intertwined issues facing Facebook. First, there's the collection and

dispersal of personal information without consent, and I am no expert on

the ins and outs of privacy legislation in several different countries, but we

all knew Facebook was collecting and sharing our data and we accepted "Big Bro

Facebook" into our world, because we felt we gained more than we lost. The

second issue is Facebook's selling of information to a company, that used the

information - possibly deliberately - to subvert an election and likely several

other elections around the globe. Certainly the United Kingdom Brexit vote

had Cambridge Analytica behind it and there's also a possibility, it was

used in the recent Indian election to influence the democratic process. There

are more news articles, in the links below about this. This has been known

for quite a few years. I mean, I've known it for at least two, so my puzzle is why

is this issue taken so long to be news in North America? Here comes the

cloudy crystal ball for you. How will Facebook be affected? Will

Facebook even survive? Will new privacy legislations be effective, and what do we

mean by effective anyway? Already, Facebook - and this is really

interesting - already Facebook has halted any new Facebook pages being linked to

Messenger Bots, so what is the future of Messenger Bots?

If Messenger Bots are going to be affected, will facebook ads be affected

too? If you use Facebook just for keeping up with your friends, well, you can choose

whether to leave or stay, that doesn't really matter, but if your

business is heavily invested in and dependent on Facebook and Facebook

marketing, are you already thinking about a back-up plan - just in case? If so,

where would your backup plan be? YouTube? LinkedIn? Do you see any new future

social media giants on the horizon, that will overcome and take over from

Facebook? Will social media disappear? My guess is it won't. It's here to stay. It's

being come too ingrained in our world, but what form will it take, because I think

it will change. Mark Zuckerberg created a Hydra with many many heads. In a

way, it was brilliant but it got away from him. I guess, it's not without irony

that he was born in 1984 and he's the guy who bought us "Big Brother". What

is your ethical boundary, when it comes to sharing personal data? What would you

like to see come out of this mess? Let me know your thoughts in the comment box

below, because there's certainly a lot of questions we have to cover over this

Facebook Cambridge Analytica Privacy issue. If you like this video, please

youtube channel. One thing that isn't going to go

away is video, so if you are still not confident about doing video, then

20 True Signs That a Man Loves You Unconditionally - Duration: 5:25.

20 True Signs That a Man Loves You Unconditionally

As a woman, you need to be careful in a relationship because it can be the most dangerous thing

that you will experience.

Yes, a relationship sometimes can hurt you instead of making you feel better.

However, there are some points when you actually find someone who loves you the most.

Here is the 20 signs of unconditional love.

#1 - He does not use you

Working together and being used are two completely different things even though both make you

work on something.

Someone who loves you probably want and appreciate when you work together to build the relationship.

However, it is just impossible to build a relationship if he only uses you.

#2 - Keeping you safe

The next thing that you should note is that he will always keep you safe no matter what.

He tries his best to keep you safe by asking your condition and giving proper care when

you get sick.

#3 - He thinks you are amazing

Even though you don't put your makeup on, he still likes you.

Even though you make mistakes, you are still amazing.

However, you definitely need to learn how to properly satisfy him anyway.

#4 - He won't get mad

If the food you cooked does not taste as he expects, he will not be mad at you.

He appreciates it.

He also can compromise if you make mistakes as long as you are not intentionally doing

them.

#5 - Patiently waits for you

The next indicator of an unconditional love is that he will be there waiting for you even

until he sleeps.

He probably will stay awake until he meets you because it is what matters most.

#6 - He chooses you

There are millions or at least dozens of girls whom they can choose.

However, he sincerely chooses you because you are the one.

#7 - He knows if you are having a bad mood

This is probably the worst thing that can happen because your anger can ruin many things.

However, he knows how to suppress your anger by knowing the problem you have and its possible

solution.

#8 - He stays

No matter what the condition is, he stays.

He stays to support you.

He also stays to lift you up when you feel down.

#9 - He puts you into priority

You are his priority, and you will recognize that from the fact that he cancels plans just

to finish something with you.

#10 - He thinks about you

He probably says that in order to make you happy or just to flirt.

However, it is worth noting that it can be true when the topic of conversation he has

involves you most of the time.

#11 - He trusts you

Though he worries, he will trust you anyway.

This applies to many things including your responsibility.

#12 - Accepting your past

Many people find it difficult to accept the past of their partner.

The reason is simply because their past is usually not really good, and it is full of

sin.

However, if he truly puts faith in you, he worries not about your past.

#13 - Forgiving

Someone who's abusive will not forgive you.

You'll be blamed every time you do something wrong, and he will always remember that.

However, someone who loves forgive and forget things because it does not worth the effort

to memorize such things.

#14 - Loving without reason

Love should not be motivated by something material because it brings expectation which

leads to dissatisfaction later on.

That is why someone who truly loves you actually cannot give the exact reason why he does so.

#15 - Letting you to check his phone

He does not mind at all because he has nothing to hide anyway.

#16 - He cancel things just for you

He always wants to be with you, and he will absolutely cancel things that don't matter

too much on him for you.

#17 - Being honest

The next thing that sincere man will do is being honest.

He won't for example, lie or hide something especially if it's something important, and

he always tells the truth.

It naturally comes to him because he feels comfortable especially if you can support

him too.

#18 - He follows your command

Sometimes, you see him smoking or doing other bad habits that hurt themselves.

When you told him to stop, he stops.

When he does, he actually puts you on top of himself, making you more valuable.

#19 - He tries to make you happy

He makes jokes, he asks you to go on to nice places, he talks nicely, and he does basically

everything to make you feel comfortable.

#20 - He's ghosting to see you

He will try to fade away from you to see you from afar.

He just cannot leave you alone.

Well, that's some solid signs that he loves you unconditionally.

If you find that kind of person, you should never let him go!

So, really cool information isn't it?

I hope you enjoy this short video, if you have something on your mind, please share

your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

[Trainees' at Midnight]

[Mysterious characters shockingly appears]

[Hi everyone]

Having to go buy food with these two pets

[Little Superman Staff is online]

is a lot of work.

[We're very obedient, ok?]

[Fun to be naughty for a bit]

[Froze]

[The real contest is now beginning]

Are you acting out a silent film, you guys?

[Good thing I run fast]

Mr. Chicken, let's walk in a line.

[Reluctantly gives you a claw]

[Can't see]

Hold on!

Hard for the staff to control.

You guys don't have a good relationship.

Don't you think Mr. Chicken?

You're always not walking together.

[Wait for me]

[A Proud Mr. Chicken]

[You already lost Mr. Chicken]

Is this appropriate?

[Couldn't see the stone block]

[Begs for comfort]

[Are you foolish?]

[I'm sorry]

[We made amends]

Which one do you want?

[Professional staff]

[Let me think]

What is this? Tell me which one.

Tell me which one!

[Currently not on the same wavelength]

[You look silly]

[Who are you talking about]

This?

Oh, you're saying that this meat is from you.

[No problems communicating]

Let me interpret what he meant.

This meat is from his body, so we can't eat it.

Yeah.

[Definitely tastes good]

You're trying to say that this is a hot dog right?

Hot dog. This is him.

Hot dog.

[You can't eat it]

[Poor Mr. Dog]

The people we just saw are so idiotic.

You know, I just saw two animals.

[Stings my eyes]

So much drama.

Can I ask what you guys saw just earlier?

Just now...

A dog and what was it?

A yellow thing. I don't know what it was.

I think next time we should catch them.

and just rip their costumes off. They're so immmature. [Cannot understand the immature behavior]

[I'm the most mature ok?]

[Humph]

It's embarrassing.

Yeah. And they even scared people.

[Come over here.]

[Come]

You must be under a lot of pressure.

Why did you laugh?

I think you've been under a lot of pressure lately.

I've been under a lot of pressure lately.

[What do we see here?]

What is this?

What is that? [Looks a bit familiar]

I'm leaving first. Bye bye.

Changes To The Voluntary Disclosure Program | Do It Together Financial Planning with Peter Guay - Duration: 4:29.

So here's the thing about tax planning:

things change on a pretty regular basis.

It's usually right around that time when you think you've got a handle on your situation

that new guidelines are put in place.

That's what happened this past December with the Voluntary Disclosure Program but don't

worry, in this video, I'll take you through the latest changes.

I'm Peter Guay and you're watching Do It Together Financial Planning.

In my previous video I talked about the Voluntary Disclosure Program offered by the Canada Revenue

Agency, what it is, and who can use it - I'll link to that video below.

In this video, I want to discuss what the recent changes to the program mean for Canadians

who might be considering using the VDP.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.

On December 15 of last year, the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, the Minister of National

Revenue, announced changes to the Voluntary Disclosure Program that came into effect in March.

The reason was to tighten the eligibility criteria to access the program.

In other words, it's going to be harder for those who intentionally avoided paying

their taxes to take advantage of and benefit from the VDP.

The changes have created two tracks for disclosures.

The first track is the Limited Program, which will offer, as the title says, limited relief

to taxpayers who have intentionally avoided paying taxes.

Under the Limited Program, taxpayers will not be referred for criminal prosecution with

respect to their disclosures and they won't be charged gross negligence penalties.

But they will be charged other penalties and interest based on their assessments.

Under this program track, participants will also have to sign a waiver of their right

to object and appeal in relation to the specific issue disclosed.

The second track is the General Program, where the same rules apply regarding criminal prosecution

and gross negligence penalties, but unlike the Limited Program, the CRA will provide

partial relief of interest for years preceding the three most recent years.

Got that?

So you might be thinking, 'How will the CRA decide what track I'll be on when I

apply to the VDP?'

Well, it's going to look at whether efforts were made by the person or company to avoid

detection through the use of offshore vehicles or other means,

the total dollar amounts involved,

the number of years of non-compliance,

and the 'sophistication' of the taxpayer.

Those are the two main changes to the program but there are other pretty significant changes

that could affect you.

The CRA now requires that you pay the estimated taxes owing

as a condition to qualify for the program.

This is important because prior to March, this payment wasn't required.

If you can't make the payment at the time of filing the application, you can request

a payment arrangement.

Another change that comes into effect this month is that the CRA will cancel relief

after the fact if it's discovered that a taxpayer's application was not complete

because of a misrepresentation.

The final change is that taxpayers used to be able to make disclosures on a no-name basis.

That meant knowing the outcome before saying who you were.

A good deal!

Now under what they're calling the "pre-disclosure discussion" service,

taxpayers can have an anonymous conversation with a CRA official,

but they won't confirm the outcome before you tell them who you are.

Those are the changes!

The new program will be reviewed after two years and adjusted based on feedback.

Look, the CRA doesn't want to scare you but it does want you to pay your taxes.

It's getting better at finding tax evaders and those who are found tend to pay heavy penalties.

Better to come clean before they come after you!

Don't worry about remembering all of this.

I'll put some links below if you want to read more about the new changes and feel free

to ask me any questions.

In my next video I'm going to be talking about something completely new so don't forget

to follow, subscribe, like and share!

Thanks so much for watching!

Brave Start: Start early and start strong at UNCP. - Duration: 2:34.

My favorite part of the Brave Start program was just getting

a head start in my career and also knowing people

ahead of time before I came to the campus.

>>The Brave Start program is a summer bridge program

that allows incoming students the opportunity to

get oriented to the campus life here at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

>> I got to have a sense of community here and I got to know the area better.

>>When I first walked around campus, I was so lost.

I didn't know what building was which.

Now I know where I'm going.

If you tell me to go somewhere, I'm there [snap].

I can get there in, like, five minutes.

>> There's always somebody around the corner to help.

Teachers are always listening and trying to help you succeed.

Because I feel like people here really want everybody to succeed.

>> I was more successful in the fall semester with the help of Brave Start because

I understood that I had to really get into it.

>> I felt since I was coming to college, I needed to get involved,

not just for my resume but for personal experiences.

>> My study skills have been okay but they got to a better level, I think,

because of Brave Start.

>> You'll have academic resources that are readily available for you, such as

our tutoring center, we also have advising.

You'll have one-on-one. You'll have your personal advisor.

>> We had a little class session

and we were always talking about little things that we could do

to help improve our studying at home and to help improve our academics.

>> We were required to go to tutoring

and I feel that was very beneficial.

>> That really meant a lot to me, that I needed help and they were there for me, right then and there.

>> And I got good grades, so that helped boost my GPA.

>> It's not all about academics, which is very important, but

they keep it about having fun out here.

>> In Brave Start, I was exposed to many programs on campus that

I don't think I would have known about at all if I didn't join Brave Start.

>> The Brave Start program has impacted me personally by

helping me interact with other students and also my mentors.

And building those bonds that will last a life time.

>> I just love how everybody is so nice and everything is kind of connected,

like we're all a family.

Health Insurance Hacks // NPHW #2 - Duration: 1:47.

Many of you have health insurance, which is good.

Health insurance is very important!

There are hidden benefits that we may not realize.

First, which you must know,

when Affordable Care Act/Obamacare was passed,

it required health insurance companies to cover preventive services at no charge.

Preventive services include appointments made to receive vaccinations and screening tests,

like mammograms or mental health screening, and so forth.

This does not require a co-pay or co-insurance.

Do you have a gym membership, or want one but it's too expensive?

Some health insurance companies can reimburse you for the cost

or offer a discount for gym or yoga memberships,

because it promotes your health.

If you need a chiropractor or massage therapy, you can try to talk to your doctor and get a referral.

You can also try to explain to your doctor you need to go to

an ASL-owned business for communication access.

Once the health insurer sees your doctor has written a referral, they may cover for it.

If so, you may only need to pay a co-pay, which is usually $20.

Mothers who breastfeed: with a doctor prescription,

you can get up to 90% off for breast pumps.

Breast pumps are tax deductible.

If you need a wig, ask your doctor to write you a prescription for

an extra cranial prosthesis, which is a wig.

Submit it to your insurer, and they may help cover the cost.

Please call your health insurance and ask them about more hidden benefits that may help you.

Vortech Twin-Charged Mustang | The New Car Show - Duration: 6:20.

- What's up youjabronies?

I'm driving new cars and talking about them.

It's The New Car Show, starring me, James Pumphrey.

(upbeat music)

Normally on this show I bring you

my impression on the latest, coolest, newest cars.

This time around the car isn't new,

it's actually three years old.

What?

The name of the show is The New Car Show.

Last time I checked this wasn't 2015 Pumphrey.

- What day is it?

- But wait, because the stuff inside

of it is brand spankin' new, as in, not released,

as in, it's in the early stages of test and development.

- Then all of a sudden I'm starting to get interested.

- For the past week I've been driving around

in a twincharged EcoBoost Mustang.

Twincharged, that means supercharger and turbo.

- You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

- Just like a freaking Group B car.

(engine revs)

I've always been a huge fan of the EcoBoost Mustang.

I grew up drooling over all the

JDM turbo coupes that never came to the U.S.

Cursing at magazines, and begging God to tell me

why we can't have cool stuff here.

I still lie in bed awake at night wishing that I had an S15.

A boy can dream.

- There are dreams that cannot be

- That reminds me, go ahead and hit the subscribe button

so that maybe one day I can get one.

So, when Ford announced that they were putting

a turbo four-banger in the Mustang again,

I was like, "Woop, woop. Could this be the new

Silvia I've always wanted?"

Kinda, the Mustang is heavier and longer

but it has more power out of the gate,

and when you add a supercharger in to the mix,

that is a very fun cocktail, and I love cocktails.

So what is this weird car all about?

So what is this weird little car all about?

- Right.

- This was the project car for Vortech,

and you can tell that by the slightly lowered stance

and the more aggressive 19 inch forge-starred wheels.

The twin charger system was more

of an engineering exercise than anything else.

They originally bought this car in order

to develop their Maxflow Charge Cooler upgrade packages.

Once those were completed and available the car just sat.

But here's the thing the guys over at Vortech,

really, really like putting superchargers on things,

and they have access to a bunch of superchargers.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

- Finish the fucking story man.

- You see what I'm getting at?

They took the Vortech V-3 H67B superchargers,

that they normally run on their GT86 systems,

added the charge cooler package that they

had already developed for the 'Stang,

and set out to twin charge the little EcoBoost

by feeding supercharged air in to the factory turbocharger.

It worked, kinda.

The car pulled like an absolute mutha (bleeps)

all the way to about 4,000 RPM,

when it ran out of fuel because

the factory fuel pump just couldn't keep up.

- Disappointing.

- At the time the hurdle that needed to be overcome

was that being a direct injection fuel system setup

on a relatively new platform, they couldn't just

slap on a bigger pump and go because one didn't exist yet.

So Vortech hit up Livernois Motorsport,

and they helped them develop a higher-flow pump

that provided enough fuel for the little engine

to pull hard all the way to redline,

but they quickly realized that the factory turbo

was just too small to take full advantage of the

twin charger system, and they abandoned the project.

- No.

- (bleeps) everything cool.

I assume their boss came into the room and was like,

"What the heck are you guys doing? Get back to work."

- Uh, yeah.

- They literally took the car apart

the day after we gave it back.

Rest in peace twin charged four-banger Mustang.

You were fun as hell.

(piano music)

And that is exactly how I would describe this little guy.

So (bleeps) fun. It is by far, 100%, no doubt,

the coolest sounding car that we have ever had on this show.

Every time you lift the throttle

you're rewarded with a (blows air).

(engine revs)

The sound is awesome.

It's not super-fast, honestly it doesn't

feel as fast as a stock GT.

In fact, this car felt absolutely

nothing like the Mustang GT that we

previously drove on this show.

This one felt like an import.

While the V8 feels badass, this little guy felt mischievous.

There was a much larger sense of occasion that came

with every decision that I made.

It was more fun when the tires broke loose

because I had to make more of a decision to spin them.

(engine revs)

Sick.

The car felt lighter and more tossable.

It's not a muscle car,

it's a twin charged four-banger coupe.

Oh, uh, did I mention the noises that this thing makes?

It made great noises.

(engine revs)

(engine whistles)

- I like it a lot.

- The power delivery was smooth,

but odd feeling, in a good way.

With a bigger turbo thrown in to the mix,

this thing would be amazing.

I could totally daily drive this car.

In fact, I wish that I could've made an offer on it.

It's so weird, and different, and awesome,

and I really like (bleeps) that's weird,

and different, and awesome.

That's why I hired Nolan and Bart.

It's a really good example of what can happen

when a bunch of really smart people

get together and make something

for no other reason, than to have fun,

and that's exactly what this car is, fun.

Mission accomplished.

Great job Vortech.

Autism Awareness Day - Duration: 6:36.

>>> APRIL 2nd IS WORLD AUTISM

AWARENESS DAY.

BUILDINGS ARE BEING ROBED IN

BLUE TO BRING AWARENESS.

THIS LIGHT IT UP BLUE CAMPAIGN

WAS BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE

ORGANIZATION AUTISM SPEAKS.

AMONG OTHER THINGS, WE'RE NOW

TOLD THAT ONE IN 68 CHILDREN IS

ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM.

AND THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES,

THESE CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO

OVERCOME NOT JUST THE UNIQUE

CHALLENGES THIS CONDITION

PRESENTS BUT ALSO THE

MISCONCEPTIONS THAT COME WITH

IT.

HERE TO TELL US MORE ABOUT

RAISING AWARENESS AND

CELEBRATING THE INDIVIDUALS WHO

LIVE WITH THE DISORDER AND THEIR

FAMILIES, IS ANGELA GEIGER.

LET'S GET A SENSE OF THE

OVERARCHING DEFINITION, IF YOU

WILL.

SO I SUSPECT THAT A LOT OF FOLKS

ARE AWARE, WE'LL TALK ABOUT

THIS, OF THE NOTION OF AUTISM,

THE AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

>> AUTISM OR AUTISM SPECTRUM

DISORDER IS CHARACTERIZED BY A

RANGE OF CONDITIONS AND

CHALLENGES, AND THOSE CHALLENGES

FOCUS AROUND SOCIAL SKILLS,

REPETITIVE BEHAVIOR, SPEECH AND

NON-VERBAL BEHAVIOR.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAS

REALLY COME TO LIGHT OVER THE

LAST TEN TO 15 YEARS IS THE DIE

VERSITY OF THE SPECTRUM.

THEY ALL HAVE THEIR UNIQUE

CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES.

>> WE TRY TO THROW A SINGLE

LABEL ON SOMETHING, AND WHAT

WE'VE LEARNED IS THAT THIS

CONDITION THAT WE TALK ABOUT

DEFIES A LABEL.

>> IT'S NOT AUTISM.

IT'S AUTISMS.

IF THERE'S NOTHING ELSE WE'VE

LEARNED WE NEED TO BE RESPECTFUL

OF THE DIVERSITY OF THE SPECTRUM

AND HOW INDIVIDUALS LIVE THEIR

LIVES.

>> TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT

AUTISM SPEAKS.

BOB WRIGHT, WE MENTIONED, I

LOVED BOB AND SUZANNE WAS SUCH A

MARVELOUS PERSON.

AND THEY GOT INVOLVED BECAUSE OF

A GRAND CHILD.

TELL ME WHAT AUTISM SPEAKS DOES.

>> AUTISM SPEAKS IS REALLY THE

LEADING ORGANIZATION ACROSS

ADVOCACY, RESEARCH AND SUPPORT

FOR PEOPLE TODAY.

AND I THINK THAT THAT MISSION

HAS EVOLVED OVER TIME.

PEOPLE REALLY NEED HELP TODAY,

WHETHER IT'S FINDING THE RIGHT

JOB BECAUSE THAT'S A CHALLENGE

FOR SOME, AND FOR OTHERS IT'S

24/7 SUPPORT AND WHERE THEY CAN

FIND THOSE SERVICES.

WE HELPED A MILLION PEOPLE JUST

LAST YEAR.

SO THE ABILITY TO HELP PEOPLE

TODAY, WHILE WE'RE ACCELERATING

FOR TOMORROW HAS BECOME REALLY

IMPORTANT.

>> LET'S TALK ABOUT SOME OF THE

MISSIONS.

ONE HAS BEEN TO INCREASE THE

NOTION OF AWEARNESS.

>> MM-HM.

>> HOW SUCCESSFUL DO YOU THINK

YOUR ORGANIZATION AND OTHERS

INVOLVED IN THIS MISSION HAVE

BEEN?

>> IF YOU WERE TO PICK THE ONE

THING THAT BOB AND SUZANNE AND

AUTISM SPEAKS MADE A WORLD OF

DIFFERENCE IN IS SHINING THAT

BIG BLUE LIGHT AND MAKING PEOPLE

AWARE.

ONE IN EVERY, 55% OF PEOPLE

SURVEYED KNOW SOMEBODY WITH

AUTISM.

>> I WAS ASTONISHED BY THAT

NUMBER.

>> YOU THINK BACK TO THE PARENTS

OF KID WHOSE ARE NOW 20 AND 21.

THEY DIDN'T KNOW, THEY SAW THESE

SYMPTOMS, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE A

WORD FOR IT.

NOW YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE IT IN

YOUR FAMILY, AND YOU KNOW

SOMEBODY.

>> HOW ABOUT THE IDEA OF

UNDERSTANDING.

>> MM-HM.

>> HAVE WE GOTTEN BETTER AT

UNDERSTANDING THE NOTION OF THE

AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER?

>> I WOULD SAY IT'S A PLACE WE

MADE PROGRESS.

WE CHANGED OUR MISSION STATEMENT

ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO TO REFLECT

THE CHANGES AND THE PROGRESS IN

THE AUTISM COMMUNITY.

AND WE TOOK AWARENESS OUT AND

CHANGED IT TO UNDERSTANDING AND

ACCEPTANCE.

WE KNOW THAT THE WORLD NEEDS TO

BE A MORE UNDERSTANDING,

ACCEPTING PLACE SO THAT PEOPLE

WITH AUTISM HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY

TO LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY, BE

EMPLOYED, PARTICIPATE IN

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, AND THAT'S

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR

THEMSELVES.

>> YOU MAKE PROGRESS IN

AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING, BUT

ACCEPTANCE, I WOULD THINK, CAN

STILL BE A DIFFICULT HURDLE.

WHAT ARE YOU SEEING?

>> THERE'S TWO THINGS THAT CAME

OUT OF THIS SURVEY THAT WERE

HELPFUL AND HOPEFUL.

ONE WAS THAT THE MORE, IF YOU

KNOW SOMEBODY WITH AUTISM,

YOU'RE MORE LIKELY TO NOT HAVE

MISCONCEPTIONS.

AS WE MOVE THAT TO 55% AND

CONTINUE TO GET THAT UP, I THINK

THAT WILL HELP WITH THAT.

THE OTHER PIECE IS, WE HAD AN

OPEN-ENDED QUESTION WHICH IS

WHERE SHOULD PEOPLE WITH AUTISM

BE EMPLOYED.

WE THOUGHT WE GOING TO GET TYPES

OF JOBS, INSTEAD, WE GOT

PRIMARILY ANYWHERE THEY WANT TO

BE.

THAT WAS HOPEFUL.

>> THAT IS HOPEFUL.

>> PEOPLE ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH.

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT

MILLENNIALS, THEY'RE SO MUCH

MORE INCLUSIVE TO THEIR SCHOOL

YEARS THAT THINK ARE USED TO

AUTISM DISORDERS BEING IN THEIR

CLASSROOM.

THEY EXPECT THEM AT THEIR PLACE

OF WORK.

AND IN FACT, THERE'S SOME

EVIDENCE THEY GET KIND OF

ANNOYED WHEN THAT'S NOT THE SAME

KIND OF INCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITIES

THEY HAD WHEN THEY WERE IN

SCHOOL.

>> I MENTIONED THE LIGHT IT UP

BLUE CAMPAIGN.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THAT.

>> THIS IS ABOUT PEOPLE AND

BUILDINGS ALL OVER THE WORLD, A

GLOBAL MOVEMENT, AND THAT COLOR

BLUE, THE COMFORTING COLOR BLUE

REALLY HELPING TO ORIGINALLY

RAISE AWARENESS BUT NOW HAVE THE

UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE

ACTIVITIES.

>> I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU THAT THE

ORGANIZATION, I WAS AROUND WHEN

IT GOT STARTED, BEEN ABLE TO

CONTRIBUTE A LITTLE BIT AND

ALWAYS HAPPY TO, BUT AUTISM

SPEAKS HAS JUST DONE A MARVELOUS

JOB.

AND SO MANY DEDICATED PEOPLE

HOPING, AS YOU SAID, TO SHINE A

LIGHT ON THIS AND HELP THESE

PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR LIVE.

IT'S GREAT TO SEE PEOPLE MAKING

PROGRESS.

IT'S NICE TO SEE YOU AS ALWAYS,

AND GOOD LUCK.

WE'LL GET YOU BACK IN SOON TO

TALK ABOUT PROGRESS.

IT'S INVALUABLE.

THANKS AGAIN.

>> THANK YOU.

Life Perspective | SHORT SKIRTS AND HIGH HEELS LOOK EQUALLY FLATTERING ON PLUS SIZE WOMEN - Duration: 9:10.

SHORT SKIRTS AND HIGH HEELS LOOK EQUALLY FLATTERING ON PLUS SIZE WOMEN

The ultra tall and ultra skinny women that we see on magazine covers have somewhat become

the foundation for the standard of our beauty.

These size four women that we see on magazine covers wearing heels and shorts have slender

sleek legs, toned abs, firm breasts and so on.

Reality check; all women are not size four and all women don't have the toned and perfect

legs and abs. an average woman is considered to be a size 14, and they do have curves.

Who said curves are bad?

They are in fact awesome, just a woman with curves needs to know the right way to pull

off the high heel and #ShortSkirt look.

Short skirts for elongating effect

For every #PlusSized, short woman the upper thigh region is the most dreaded area, where

the cellulite rapidly grows.

Plus Size Mini Skirt PatternSuch women would want to keep their distance from #ShortSkirts

and dresses and keep the region covered.

However, short skirts do work for chubby women if they know to pull off the look.

Wearing a skirt which is only 2 to 3 inches above the knee will elongate the body shape,

and draws more focus on the lower region of the body.

Wearing a long and #FittedSkirt will cover everything except for the calf muscles, and

will also make you appear heavier and shorter.

The same goes for taller women as well, there's nothing wrong with flaunting a bit of leg.

Become fashion forward with high heels

Another misconception is that heels are for short women, and tall ones cannot wear them.

Wrong!

Heels should be an essential part of every woman's wardrobe short and tall alike.

#PlusSizedWomen, tall or short must always opt for heels whenever wearing a cute dress,

or an elegant shirt or a #SexyShortSkirt.

Just make sure, that the heel you wear is comfortable, and helps you maintain your posture

and confidence.

A pair of stilettos teamed with a monochrome top, and pastel black skirt will give your

look that extra oomph and make you feel confident.

Short Skirts and stylish heels can be paired with jackets and shirts which have a tapered

waistline.

If you have a big waistline, and are not comfortable with showing it off, try the peplum look.

Peplum skirts are not only fashion forward, but are also excellent for covering the bulging

fat around the waist.

Hide the bits that make you feel uncomfortable and flaunt your assets, opt for dresses which

compliments your proportions.
