Waching daily Apr 3 2018

Hey guys! This is Elizabeth Travels. Hello! She's a Travel Youtuber and maybe

if you want to tell us something about yourself? Well yeah I do travel videos

I've been to Southeast Asia, recently I've been to Portugal, I've been

in the States, a lot of places basically, but I live in Montreal

and that's where I met Lashan. Yeah we met here a YouTube event. Yeah.

A couple of months ago. You're born here in Montreal. Yeah. I moved here about a year

ago so what I wanted to see was how well we know Montreal. Okay. A local

to a relative newcomer. So we have two sheets of paper here. She doesn't know

what we're doing yet. What I want you to do, is a draw a map of Montreal. Oh! Just

off memory you can start wherever you want, with the street names and

whatever - no way - and see how accurately you get it. That's... hard. I'm sure you're going to do better, but, as a local I don't explore that much

I forgot most of downtown to be honest but yeah, we'll see. Okay, let's do this. Alright.

so I just focused on my area which is sort of my land and like plateaus I know

the streets bad so I focused on like this area like my land plateau and I can

know all the street names here classes are you take something bomb all the way

down you get the silica fume obey Allah and you I didn't look at more general

mat with my skill I know the smaller streets but there's like no space for it

and maybe I just think I know that maybe I just I don't know them that well what

it is like a general map of Montreal with like the big touristic attractions

so there's the mountain in the middle the oratories and Joseph there's the

downtown here with some catherine and the gas see this big fat which is like

the blood diesel with although the streets nielsen catherine here the st.

Lawrence in sin Denis then there's the old part the two bridges I mean there's

more bridges but I only know to market down there where we are right now

there's a Botanical Gardens and the Olympic Stadium and there's the julep

you have big orange on the 15 no you've never ever been you've never been to the

julep no it's like this massive orange I think I've heard of it and they could be

they serve this juice which is like kind of milk and orange juice mixed together

nicely disgusted it is ancient wouldn't spoil oh no I mean I don't know people

loved it but I think it's disgusting yeah we made a video about that okay and

I was like oh maybe I just like remembered wrong like and I just didn't

like it as a kid and my boyfriend he really loves it ya know some people

really love it and they actually drive there on purpose

really yeah and also they have like a car meets over there the world doesn't

wait for you yeah there's like a there's a business story behind that one too I

think you're like so you were born here in Montreal

so I have you lived anywhere else or you I've lived I've lived like four months

in Warsaw on exchange I'll make sure yeah I love it if people you know people

who fall under like Warsaw really it's kind of a cold city and it's true it's

kind of a good it's not a fun place to visit ice I think I've done how much to

do but once like we settled and we found there little bars and like it has so

much culture going on but it's all like kind of hidden okay and it's once you

get into it like it's amazing I really loved it okay it's kind of similar to

how I'd describe Montreal yeah like it's sort of as your tourist here I mean you

can show everyone most things in about a day like in the map like gonna back yeah

yeah like it's really easy to show people around but when you leave here

you appreciate it yeah like you unlock all the little secrets yep you're like

secret please that you show people like that makes you feel like a local like

okay course wouldn't like find it I mean I just felt like I mean food cafes I

just got a KGB like it's you know what it's and I've never been but I do think

it's really cool they're shutting it down because the rent is being go over

like really or something but uh it's a ten mile and it's sort of next to the

ubisoft building I know where that is yes so it's like similar to Nazca da

like it's a run-down apartment turning to a cafe which is nice and his live

music and stuff as well so but it's kind of like that sometime Paul is really

cool yeah yeah I really like that place as well showing them around like a

little local food spots around my lens I enjoy doing and also I mean there's some

cool stuff I mean one time my friends took me to this place near Olympic

Stadium yeah it's an abandoned restaurant abandon is only abandoned

like it's they shot it down like a couple a couple years ago with something

called Java Tiki oh yeah you can get in there yeah you can get in there let's go

it's really it's really hard to get into like we had to climb up through a window

and so though let's do this yeah I've been to a couple abandoned places in

Europe this is have you been the one that the multi

plant on the canal machine no I've heard too many think it's really hard to get

into no it was look so easy you mean a huge building right yeah like I've heard

but we're not that not the one next to the fibrosis oh okay the one next to

this on pause because I've had that main the big one the security going that

every like every hour or so you have to go in get out and like yeah yeah bit

comparing this a wall so what do you like about Montreal like I find a

Marshalls really neighborhoodie yeah like each neighborhood has its own kind

of neighborhood life and if you're really into it like you don't even have

to leave much of your neighbor but yeah even if that's go into my land like you

just really yeah like I'm hearing about that I'm like

there's so much going on little bit like we have amazing new restaurants popping

up popping up like little neighborhood bars and I really actually don't need to

go far much yeah it's true like it's like soon he has its own little vibe and

it's all different everything sort of self-contained yeah

I started this guy Montreal it's like a series of miniature cities clustered

around the mountain so like you don't have to leave like you have everything

that it's really walkable public transports amazing so baked C's I miss

fixie just beyond the walk from downtown to my house that's what I love about it

but in the summer the city is completely different yes it just comes alive like

there's so many festivals and things to do every weekend I love traveling but

whenever I'm traveling in this summer I'm just like no missing the like the

March all summer because I've been to so many places but no place that I've been

to enjoys this summer like my Java no because it's so short and people just go

all out and you like a Tuesday night at 11 and if we're just gonna be like

dancing and having barbecues in the parks you know everybody has work

tomorrow what doesn't people I only have like five days of I'm gonna enjoy

and also a lot of the stuff is free yeah like for example the Jazz Festival

I remember having one night we went to the main festival stage and then we went

to a chocolate and bunch of other places we didn't spend a cent on any

entertainment yeah we had a great time solid Beirut yeah yeah they're here in

the Jazz Festival oh why it was free it was packed with

history in your in your YouTube channel you share a lot of Montreal when you're

not traveling yeah I mean God got to produce some content right yeah but how

much of this city like do you know I feel like I don't know it all sure it's

a big city and I sound like each neighborhood has like their own little

secrets yes so you really have to like talk to the

people who deliver on that neighborhood but I said no like I know the touristy

stuff pretty well okay cuz I mean my parents are from Russia and they

emigrated to Montreal so sometimes we get like visitors from Russia or stuff

like so I've shown her all the city the people and also like I had some French

friends come over that I met during my exchange semester in Warsaw so please

tour guide many times yeah but then it's not the same thing as like knowing the

place yeah of course I know the west of the city a lot better than the East so I

know better I know like said Henry I know NDG kind of around Snowden

I know downtown Ducato like if you asked me to show your own clothes more I don't

really know I don't know if those mom I don't know science Indian or send me a

nard little kind of a little bit big but not

much don't say long yeah I don't know

everything but that's what's cool okay sometimes I'm just going to exploit yeah

just take your day and you're like oh we're just gonna go to the Johno market

in a just walk around and I'm gonna sleep last time maybe about a month ago

yeah oh yeah it's always a it's really small in there very small yeah okay they

closed off a lot of like the outdoor areas in the in the wind

I have a list just to see if you used on all these things I know you've done a

couple of these but are you gonna quiz me on my much coolness yeah it's like

yes um stop easy so um oh yeah yeah I've seen the murals okay

I don't know that house ten times yep picnic electronic yep but y'all got no

really no okay this is what I do we do the crate like so many people come yeah

I just I just go and play at my friend's country house rent on my apartment and

make like thousand bucks in three days okay three days I'm just you clean up

you rent it up and the demand is huge dude she's like so many people coming to

the city that the hotels are all booked

there Ben do you make a lot of money it's just never the bands that I want on

the same date I know it's true we don't preference but I'm like yeah I think um

with me I think I saw the lineup in life I love news yeah but I've seen them

twice or three times already well the artist I wanted to see we're on

Friday except news yeah so I'm like trying just go on Saturday for muse or

should I see everything else so I I decided to just see everything else on

Friday yeah we chose a great time it was raining like crazy like just rocketing

down right now but yeah I had a good time maybe next year

la banquise yep swats but it's not the best poutine

I have we're like what is that I like okay either you go like completely just

like drunk junk food yeah and you go to like you go to like lab Micromax that's

just like the basic routine you know you know how like the fancy toppings nothing

or I like if you want to go look a little bit more upscale I go to poppity

pop they're pitching they aquitine okay and it's really good I think they make

they did because neon fries they make their own gravy and then they add I

think if you take the patottie palette aquitine I think the ad bell peppers

oh okay I convinced weakness or something it's really good

my favorite pigeon llama kill is the place to go to show people yeah there's

so many varieties yes like a poutine please

so it's a tourist like check with smoke do you kind of have to do yeah I think I

have my sister visiting or my friends visiting in the policy like two weeks so

he went oh I went too much too many times

here's here's a good one zombie a toe of thermo ah

thermal what we're cutting this video cuz it's right next to button your key

place no keep eggs yeah which one it's like this it's a little Italian

hole in the wall but certain Yogi's really it's really good it's like five

bucks really good your people okay it's really good so I'm just like oh I'll get

some new keys and some and they're cheaper to pave I think I don't know

tried them once and I found them too dense and chewy

I think but but only I like the Sambia turns wound - yeah I mean it depends all

right it's just depends on which which one is closer the way I suppose okay I

know I'm just like very hard like a bit closer to to Fairmount but I will make

the trek to get up oh okay yeah I like it

the Oratory really yeah I've heard it's really good it's just I think it's more

impressive on the outside then on the inside yeah yeah it's not really makes

me decorate but that's a good view yeah the views nice and it's um it's like the

building itself but okay in fact is not unimpressive alright like the impressive

thing is that it's I think the biggest oratory in North America that's what

what is an oratory is it just a church right okay

wow we have a good Montreal checklist yeah does it you you did pretty well I

found like a lot of people sort of never really especially when you travel a lot

yeah they never really explore their own City I had that moment when I came back

from traveling I was like wait a second I don't really know my city

yeah ah spend some time I did like this the checklist okay that's good but what

I kinda don't boo not really no I mean I've been to Quebec

City and into auto in Tirana but I've never been

out what I mean it's difficult right it's really offensive you gotta drive it

if you gotta make it with the Road Trip anything yeah yeah and with Australia I

don't like the East Coast up to Brisbane like Sydney Brisbane Melbourne Canberra

I have there's like nothing to do that it's like if the capital as an architect

it's a beautifully designing city it's just like a city of roundabouts okay

Parliament's really nice that's it it's very quiet sounds like Ottawa kinda is

like Ottawa yeah and then I'm also the west coast of Australia's beautiful what

are some like Montreal are things that like are not so evident one thing I love

about Montreux is like all the seasons just how vibrant and diverse they are

that's true so like the winter is white the autumn

is red summers green spring is kind of gray and rainy and we don't really talk

about it I find like the with the snow like I mean I love it because it doesn't

rain like the entire winter more or less yeah and also just the ice like when it

when you have the snow and then the freezing rain over the top of it yeah

thank you it's dangerous but smashing it is the most fun thing ever okay have you

ever done a barbecue in a park yes good good I don't see that as much feel to it

so it's a thing up a lot of people do I think like in North America quite unique

to Montreal okay cuz most places like you're not allowed to drink in part

Montreal specifically specifically has it by law that you can drink as long as

the picnics oh is that why yeah oh so you can like if you have a pack of chips

you can't get drunk in the park if you don't have the package chips

you're good drinking in public and that's a that's a fine oh I didn't know

that so it's like people like to like go and chill do like a little picnic and

get drunk in the parks yeah that's a really marshal thing to do right

it's cheap it's very cheap yeah I like I noticed we did it a lot I just didn't

know what that was why I'd really think about yeah

we just drinking I didn't think it was illegal or anything you see yourself

staying here for the foreseeable future like yep you okay so for sure cuz like I

feel it's a really cheap city to live in that's true and like the quality of life

you get for the for the price you pay my apartment is really big and I know

things are very nice apartment and I don't think I'd get it any anywhere near

this kind of nice apartment in any other cities in North America no and public

transfers get it I think it's a good place like even if you have kids or

something you have like a decent-sized yard or

something like live not downtown really not too far from the downtown and still

have a nice quality of white there's like a bunch of parks there's like so

much to do again that's it I mean that's it so subscribe to Elizabeth travels you

haven't already and we did a travel story on my channel with yes time if you

wonder why's that yes I said one of my travel stories

about me getting chase sorry my bad about you chasing Ivy make me chasing my

bus down in Cappadocia racing across the city to catch my final boss on my fifty

year so if you want to see that go check it out on hose and yeah I'll see you in

the next video I don't have a thing if you neither yeah I just sort of like bye

bye

InDesign How-To: Make Arrows (Video Tutorial) - Duration: 2:57.

Hi! This is Anne-Marie Concepción from InDesignSecrets.com. A lot of people

ask me, "Where is the arrow tool in InDesign?" I don't see it here at all. It's

not hiding in some sort of popup menu. It doesn't appear anywhere up here - -

[oh I made a dot there, let me delete that] It doesn't appear in any of the menus. The

answer is the arrow tools are hiding in the Strokes panel…actually Stroke panel.

Doesn't that make a lot of sense? Well, kind of when you realize that an arrowhead

goes at the end of a stroke. So the first thing you need to do is make a stroke.

And you do that with either the Line tool or the Pen tool. Let's start with

the Line tool. I'm just gonna drag a line just like this, pointing at this guy and…

What's happening? Oh. You can't see the line. Well that's because when you make a

stroke you have to make sure in your Swatches panel that the fill is "None" and

the stroke (clicking on the stroke icon) is "Black." There we go. Now we can see it.

You use the Swatches panel to color the lines and the…and the arrowheads because

the arrowheads will be the same color as the lines. Now we go to the Stroke panel

and here we can change things like the weight and so on. But what we want to do

is come right down here to Start and End. Let's start with a square and end with a

curved arrowhead. Let me zoom in here with Command or Control-+ so you can

see what I'm doing a little better. That's it! You can change the color of

the stroke if you'd like. You can change the type of the stroke. We could make it

thick-thin, for example, which doesn't look really great at 2 points but

maybe at 4 points it looks kind of interesting. You can swap the starting

and ending, so I can just click this little guy and it points the other way,

in case you dragged it in the wrong direction. I hope you didn't do that, did you?

And finally you have the Scale tool down here.

So let me go back to a normal solid line and down here in the scale like I

think this box is a little big. So I'm gonna scale it down.

Let me try 10%. Well, maybe that was a little small. Okay, let's try 50%. Ah!

That's much better. You can scale the start and the end

separately in these two fields or you can keep them the same by clicking this

to link the start and end arrowhead scales. And that's about it. That's how

you add arrows to the beginning or ending of any stroke that you create in InDesign.

2018 Volkswagen Passat GT first drive: A family-size GTI - Duration: 4:35.

With the ever-increasing number of new SUVs and trucks coming through the Autoweek offices,

a sedan brings with it an almost nostalgic feeling -- and it's even better when it's

a sporty version of a sedan.

Car things tend to be better when they are sporty car things.

Enter the VW Passat GT.

VW started with its V6 powered, R-Line trimmed Passat sedan, lowered it by 0.6 inch, stiffened

up the suspension and swapped 18-inch for 19-inch rubber.

It's not particularly well-equipped -- conveniences like a hands-free trunk, rain-sensing wipers

and the fancy audio system, all standard in the top-of-the-line Passat SEL Premium model,

are not available here.

But the price is $29,995, more than $5,000 cheaper than the SEL Premium.

The GT instead comes adorned with several "sporty" style trim pieces.

Inside the cabin, you'll see a piano-black center console, a black headliner, carbon-fiber-look-a-like

trim, aluminum doorsills and unique stitch patterns in the leatherette seats, wheel,

and shift knob.

Outside, there's a cute black spoiler on the trunk, unique lower front-fascia styling

and a smattering of GT badges throughout.

All together, it looks sharp enough, but it teeters on the line between tasteful and trying

too hard.

The Execution

Those styling quibbles quickly fall out of mind once you get behind the wheel.

The Passat is a 192-inch family sedan, with requisite space inside and footprint outside,

yet this model has enough pluck to satiate your car nerd cravings.

The 3.6-liter narrow-angled V6 makes as much as 280 naturally aspirated hp and 258 lb-ft

of torque.

Combined with one of the better dual-clutch transmissions in the business, you're never

wanting for power.

Turbochargers are making their way under more and more hoods, so the fact that this engine

is naturally aspirated alone makes it stand out.

Hit the gas and you press against the seat with linearity.

Fewer computers are doing less work to make the engine feel this way -- it happens organically.

Splendidly simple and quickly addictive, the engine's response may prove the advertised

28 mpg on the highway harder to achieve than usual.

Is this a backroad burner?

No.

After all, those 19-inch wheels have Continental ContiProContact all-season tires holding the

air.

But the Contis grip commendably considering their purpose and match the suspension tuning

well.

Chuck the Passat GT into a corner, or more commonly, a freeway entrance ramp, and lateral

grip and body motion respond just as your butt and hands expect.

The lower limits make them easily approachable and tempting to chase.

The Takeaway

In the VW Passat GT, you can own a family sedan that will still play.

Hell, throw your kids in back and take them with you to your favorite stretch of twisty

pavement.

You're not going to chase down any 911s, but you can still crack a smile while trying

to.

Think of it as a family-size GTI.

It's quick and sporty, but it's still practical enough for most any family task.

And the sub-$30K price point falls right in line with many more pedestrian offerings.

And, in more ways than one, it's a way to stand out.

Sedans, station wagons, hatchbacks (you know -- cars), they're great.

They're closer to the pavement and higher on the fun-to-drive ladder than SUVs or crossovers.

And this one notches up the fun one further rung without sacrificing any of its duties

of common transportation.

Step out of line with the masses: Have your need to seat four and carry luggage fulfilled

with something that still gives your keister a sense of the road underneath you and allows

your car-loving heart to get the blood pumping.

Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom - Playthrough Part 3 (The Sky Pirates) - Duration: 51:56.

welcome back friends to smashin bro ben and I'm continuing my journey

ni no kuni 2 today I'm gonna head into the canyon let's see I have not touched

this game for a couple of days let's go back into it so far it's not that

complex in terms of control it's pretty simple straightforward and I don't think

I'm gonna be seeing any considerable challenge in the beginning so we got to

here and I was playing with my boy Evan

let's take a look at on that side when to gorge okay let's keep going and we're

gonna try to collect everything on our path I don't leave any corner in turn

this here really really awesome landscape change here you know what we

started in the beginning of the game beautiful lush plains little Hills and

now we're here in this Canyon area I really enjoy that bomb RPGs where you

get a change of scenery push you this early in the game never boring oh and

somebody in here hello damn know how convenient yes quite a story how you got

here

Oh Paul he recognizes the king so the boy is popular even though he never

steps his foot outside the kingdom as we learned in the previous video so it's

still unclear what happened to the after the attack so most of the people I guess

assume he's dead but we're not really we survived and I'll head out there

okay so he has a device he wants to push on me

hmm damn this much dude that's much money what's the discount

oh that that's kind of him okay so he is a loyal citizen of the kingdom he's like

here you go your majesty so we got a nice book I guess we'll learn what it

really does a little bit later a new mechanic has been introduced I can

gather news

almost seems like it's gonna be a it's gonna have something to do with treasure

hunting and and side missions or fetch quests

all right whatever news all right I guess it looks like it's teaching me how

to play the game I can still use this items it's a nice neat little feature

it's almost like a journal a recap what was happening so funny game on hey let's

get going let's having to battle

Rick - real simple boy what's in this cave bigger monsters let's see I love

the music as well great simple stuff so guys as I mentioned before in my

previous video it's once I can hear let's see what's going on what is this

oh my jump booster you're gonna jump on that upper platform let's see maybe

yeah as I was saying guys so far the game is not really pushing you know the

boundaries of what's been done in JRPGs before but it's the package that I'm

really enjoying that's very good writing that's good music everything works in

singing very well together it seems like these guys who develop this game level 5

had a very clear vision for what's going to be homies

I don't see these little fairies you kind of feel harmless I feel bad for

taking care of them so gotta get it all nice so beautiful

Oh finally pay their opponents let's take care of the small fries first okay

we got - nope ouch oh wow

we've got dealt a lot of damage holy crap

I gotta get myself

you gotta find this nope apparently not money that's always

helpful

even musically the the game seems to take cues from Ghibli studios even

though we the fans know there is no official enrollment from the studio

anymore like I love these musical cues how they

kind of try to tell you look at this curious area but this potential danger

so tread lightly you never know you might come across all right so much

stuff to pick up all right treasure chest yes we'll take that John let's get

me a baby book Claire let's see I guess it's gonna be oh that's neat little

equipment okay you can equip bar as well nice anything else I picked up close

range right oh hell you know hold on what should I give the close range well

I'm playing with Evan so I'm gonna get quickl to him it kind of makes sense

even though I got to say Roland is pretty damn cool to control

no sweat no sweat yeah so far it looks like I'm getting up

I'm getting only the lighter and these two kind of like glide no but don't

level up as I go along except for that one big go test looking guy we're good

here yeah we get everything nope not yet not yet

now we do let's get our bearings here on the map look phone button sorry guys

alright okay so it looks like these areas I can't visit quite yet the game

is almost Sami hey dude you wanna you know this this area come back you're not

ready yet I can't win tip you like the leaf which I'm pretty sure it's gonna

give me a boost up it's it's some sort of an environmental ability zone

we'll be able to flyer will be later hope he's Gary gathering inspire of blue

a French

I got the magic wand yay look wonderful

nice my boy Evan let's see if we got a better magic wand it's better shit yes

it kind of looks more powerful overall and let's see what kind of done with oh

hell yeah that's a dull gun and pros are critical attacks sweet oh dude what is

this these are the things that like a secret passage not really it's not shown

on the map

not really let's make sure we check everything oh how do we get the on-seam

can't get to it yet can't do it my perfectionist feeling is

tingling they're like oh how do we do it nice I think this will be a nice little

area to save no way up

many guys are gonna help I'm still trying to pronounce article those little

features higley geeks Pete Liddy big Liddy come on let's go to work bite no

he wants us to follow him

now let's say it first

oh man I can't say yep he's taking us to a different part of the map and this is

treasure chest

yes weaponry is always welcome

very powerful stuff

anything better than this oh yes I do yes I do

that's one thing I'm forgetting to do is to change my weaponry make combat but so

far honest they haven't the need for it it's only when the game really pushes

you to use everything in you equipment then say like look you're not gonna win

unless you really put everything through strategy that's when you know the game

is challenging but so far ninokuni has been getting me with his charm but not

difficulty level oh I missed something I

need it I don't know what it is I gotta grab it I could've sworn I picked it up

I don't miss a thing

those guys despawn announced respond I think I went back way too far

I think there's anything else to discover no there was the ones I believe

it was one area in the very beginning

really enjoy the effects as well they they're not a significant portion of the

fighting mechanic but they're just so fun to look at and when you see

attention to detail like this it's always you know you have HPV game or yes

oh shit oh shit god damn it this guy's freaking powerful

guys I think I'm gonna I better run my asshole oh damn it I'm about to frickin

knife I'm about to frickin die run away oh man I wasn't up to the task

little change here there we go fine nice lionize kids fire and ice

back in the day if you guys went home ice and fire by Frank Frazetta nothing

as a crazy barbarians world vibe to it I guess because it's a candy

word

Oh another item

young yes we got it we got it now oh you do couldn't even define himself

this guy

but you got good what you got for me damn it

got him but what happening just like I've tossed now to cool down

looks like we're finally making our headway to where we're supposed to go I

see signs of civilization batteries try different skill boom

oh nice vision guys Oh

all right all the enemy's dispatch and we can move

forward now

what's this guy

Munchie nuts there we go what does that do

no you want to join you know more than welcome and all safe spots

I wonder where this is going to take you whoa too much pressure

a sixth Center what is - what in the world is this I don't see it

alright so I'm wearing my inventory

plays this where I'm supposed to go because if it is sucky going backwards

which I'm sure is gonna lead to Fraser

I guess we're going to find out what all those things do later on if there were

the relevant and not I can't fall off

what if I want to Oh kitty here bigger uh-oh something is

about to happen guys

he knows honor that's good let's do it

all right dude it's not trickery okay we just want to go in and help come on no

now this guy has to go on and be an asshole

this little kid then I'll put an end to war a misery I'll unite all the kingdoms

in peace what's that no no just a king indeed but the king of the whole blessed

world a lad if that's what it takes I have to try and I can't stop trying

different looking well similar your cousin whatever it's just a design of it

it looks so nice how do we get down to those pirates get meditating what's up

dude

so many items also I kind of don't mind the linearity of the games like yeah

they give you a little this little hot place you go around areas but more or

less you're moving in a directional way so I kind of like that I missed those

games that you do feel like they get exploring so you're not very limited

here no Final Fantasy 13 sorry to the fans

but that game was just like one corridor

nice exploration

everything come to do some shop in a let's sell all the crap they don't use

why do you have to sail for me

what else can I do for you

now we get it lift

I guess no lips

now I've got to find that wyverns den Oh

Reminder: extra innings are great, and anyone who wants to take them away from you is a traitor ... - Duration: 13:52.

Reminder: extra innings are great, and anyone who wants to take them away from you is a traitor to God and country

After waking up this morning, I spent the first two hours of my day recreating an extra-innings game.

Going over the game logs.

Kicking myself for checking my phone last night, seeing a 6-3 game in the ninth, and going to bed.

Replaying the videos on MLB.com.

Replaying them again.

And even though I'm a tourist who didn't watch the game for five hours and 46 minutes, I can certainly appreciate them, and I'm jealous of the people who got to watch it live.

So it seems like a perfect time to remind everyone that extra innings are great, and anyone who wants to take them away from you is a traitor to God and country.

The game in question was a 15-inning affair between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks at Chase Field, and it featured blown saves, dramatic comebacks, and Yasiel Puig throwing a runner out at second base.

In the bottom of the 15th, the Diamondbacks didn't have anyone warming up, and they pinch-hit for their last pitcher, which means there was either going to be a starting pitcher getting ready quickly, even though he wasn't fully rested, or a position player pitching.

The Dodgers were also out of relievers, and Wilmer Font had already thrown 74 pitches in four-plus innings by the time the Diamondbacks, so it's possible that we might have seen a position player pitching there, too.

Say Hey, Baseball Everything worth knowing in baseball, every day of the week.

Your email address Subscribe By signing up, you agree to our Privacy Policy and European users agree to the data transfer policy.

In other words, it was beautiful, sloppy baseball.

It's the kind of chaos that defines the sport and separates it from the rest.

Games that travel deep into extra innings allow you to watch the frayed edges of the sport peel apart in real time, and they bend and stretch and weave themselves into something completely different.

Pitchers are pinch-hitters.

Pinch-hitters are pitchers.

Outfielders become infielders.

There are no wasted pitches, and it's almost impossible to overreact.

Baseball is slowly laying down the groundwork to take this away.

At all levels of Minor League Baseball, extra innings will begin with a runner on second base.

The runner at second base will be the player in the batting order position previous to the leadoff batter of the inning (or a substitute for that player).

By way of example, if the number five hitter in the batting order is due to lead off the 10th inning, the number four player in the batting order (or a pinch-runner for such player) shall begin the inning on second base.

Any runner or batter removed from the game for a substitute shall be ineligible to return to the game, as is the case in all circumstances under the Official Baseball Rules.

This dumb rule doesn't have to spread to the major leagues.

There's a logistical reason for having it in the minors, where the teams have a dual responsibility of taking care of the parent club's future players and winning, with the former taking precedence.

No one benefits from a 22-year-old throwing three more innings than his manager feels comfortable with, just so that the Denton Tinder Squids can win a game in front of 174 half-interested fans.

This new MiLB rule doesn't have to infect the majors.

But I'm scared.

The pace-of-play mania isn't going away in the MLB offices, and this certainly would be a way to shorten the average game.

It would be a bazooka for a termite problem, but the average time of game would drop.

All it would take is one tiny rule change.

Except that change is the baseball equivalent of a shootout, except it would involve bunting and fly balls.

The first team would bunt the runner over to third and try to get him in.

Then it would be the next team's turn.

We'll see this all summer in minor league games.

It's a shootout, but for people who hate baseball.

Instead, check out this Dodgers-Diamondbacks game.

There were 12 half-innings of free baseball, and only two of them didn't feature a baserunner.

That meant there were 10 half-innings where the opposing fans started panicking and the other side was settling into an optimistic, "This time it's gotta work" mindset.

This happened organically, without the dumb rule that practically forces managers to bunt.

At the risk of psychoanalyzing an entire crowd, I'm going to guess that there weren't a lot of people concerned about the time of the game or the pace of play.

The people who were concerned had already left.

They had spent their money, eaten their hot dogs, and generally left satisfied.

They had seen a close game.

There are no penalties for leaving an extra-innings game early, either, with "Sorry, gotta be up early tomorrow" being an entirely acceptable excuse.

And the early departures leave behind people who knew they were seeing something weird and special.

The people left are the ones who know they've won some sort of strange, anxious lottery that they might not ever win again.

These aren't the games that keep people away; these are the games that stick in your head years later.

I don't remember a lot of concerts from my youth, but I do remember Mike Patton picking up a shoe, peeing in it, and tossing it back into the crowd during a Mr Bungle concert.

Monday night's game was that, but with more Jeff Mathis, and both Diamondbacks and Dodgers fans will remember it all season.

When a game goes into extras next year, they'll remember it.

I remember the extended extra-innings games that I've attended and covered, the groans when the home team doesn't cash in on a runner at third with one out, the pregnant tension of every pitch, swing, and play in the field.

These aren't the games that make me think baseball is boring.

Hrm, that has a ring to it.

These aren't the games that make me think baseball is boring.

These aren't the games that make me think baseball is boring.

These are the gifts.

Extra-inning marathons might not sell a neophyte on the sport, but they'll definitely strengthen the bonds between the game and the established fan.

I don't want one of these games every night, but give me one of them every year, where I get to join in a Twitter peanut gallery that gets rowdier, more impatient, and more populated with each passing inning.

Where I get to wear popcorn boxes on my head and scream at the players on the field and definitely have them hear me.

Where I get to be this guy: Baseball can be slow, and baseball can be boring.

These are not problems with baseball games thare are deep into extra innings, though.

Extra innings are for Rick Camp hitting home runs and Brent Mayne shutting down a Hall of Famer at Coors Field.

Extra innings are for long relievers turning into de facto starters who need to throw five or six strong innings.

Extra innings are for Jeff Mathis becoming an offensive hero.

Extra innings are great, and I need you to be suspicious of anyone who tells you differently.

Look at this danged April baseball game if you need proof.

Coin Roll Hunting A Box of Pennies - Duration: 8:16.

hey everyone its Rob with Rob finds treasure and we're opening and hunting a

penny box today I say opening it's already open you guys know I'm always

taking a look inside of these before and get home just because I want to make

sure they're circulated they are not seen any special enters of telling the

truth on this one but you don't usually get a lot of wheat cent or Indian Head

cent pennies it's been forever since I found a Indian Head I've got three boxes

to go through over the next few days and I'm picking up two more on Wednesday so

I'm hoping hoping to see one again I know it's not usual to find them so I'm

not expecting much but don't like cutting some pennies I've got my

microscope set up I'll be zooming in on that if you find anything cool and

anyway let's go ahead and get this penny hunt started all right guys we're in our

fourth for all the boxes we got ourselves our first wheat cent here it is

a 1956 Denver not in too bad of shape we'll take it put it right below our 1959

Denver we found earlier you know I pulled those out all right let's get

back to the hunt all right guys seven through all the

walks and I see it coming up so I figured I would loop you in for it you

got a Canadian it's a newer one though

1998 well take it first for find of the box to go along with to 2018 D's

couple of oh 9s a 59 and a 56 Denver alright guys on the 10th roll and look

at this roll it's all 2018 Denver's except for a few coins and I saw one day

it was a 2018 Denver but say you look at this again

take a look at this 2018 out of the microscope here

oh no guys that looks like a pretty suspect Liberty right there all right

guys it's just machine doubling upon closer

inspection but still pretty cool gave me quite the curiosity there let's keep

looking all right guys roll number 14 we got ourselves so we'd said sitting right

here let's take a look together good be old the 1944 D let's look at it under

the scope it's now our second wing set and our oldest of the box so now we've

got a 44 D and a 56 D all right guys roll number 28 and we have a wheat cent

peeking out you never know it looks like it could be all but there's pretty good

detail on the ears would be nice to see VDB but we don't let's take a look

1945 Philadelphia all right we'll add it to the wheat cent collection over

here that's 2 '44's ones a Denver ones the Philadelphia 45 Philadelphia and the

56 Denver for Wheaties so far well let's keep looking

all right guys roll number 32 got another wheat cent here facing me straight on

1958 Denver not too bad a shape either it's our newest Wheatie and most recent as

well see what I did there five wheat cents so far 32 rolls not quite let's get back

to the hunt okay guys roll number 33 for a next roll got another wheat cent here

1941 d pretty good shape we'll take it

it's uh now our sixth wheatie you got an older one so we'll take it everything's

still 41 and newer everyone asks I'm funny mm 18 pennies I am including four

full rolls oh let's get back to the hunt okay guys roll number 42 you got another wheat

cent never know when they're marked up like that as far as discoloration

doesn't look that old but you never know

56 d we got those for sure and you know what I'll take it though that's seven

weeks sense maybe we'll sneak out an eighth roll number 44 searching the

pennies and uh we got a wheatie peeker looks pretty new whoa we got a 1942 s that's

in pretty good shape

look at that under the under the microscope it's definitely a 42 S and

it's not in as good a shape as I thought for sure as you can see but you know

what that's pretty good detail on those ears we'll take it 1942 s and I'll have

to look at my records but I don't think I have too many forty two S's okay we're

on the last roll the box I just laid the coins out and I noticed the wheat cent

so I figured I'd grab it for you this will make wheat cent number nine

kite the engine 1958 d we'll take it I have you here we'll see if we can get a

tenth wheat cent we'll just go for kind of fast no rhyme or reason here

we'll just push it over to the side and I see nothing all right

I'll go through these and we'll give you a wrap-up all right guys another box of

pennies hundred we ended up with 1 2017 P 10 2009's 7 are in really good shape

got a Canadian 98 I pull out my 59s and we got six of those that wasn't in that

box and that one's not too bad we ended up with 9 wheat cents got a 41 D a 42 s

prolly my favorite of the box 44 plane 44 D 45 Philly 56 Denver 56 Denver 58

Denver and a 58 Denver and but you've now have five complete rolls of 2018 d

and a whole bunch of loose ones that would probably fill up another couple of

rolls at least I might do that with them anyway

I haven't really looked at him it looks like we have a weak strike on many of

the rolls so whatever machine this was was hitting uh has a weak

strike a lot of machine doubling anyway pretty cool finds if you enjoyed the

hunt with me please give the video a thumbs up and as always thanks for

watching

New Zealand Legal Services: What is Unbundled Advice? - Duration: 2:33.

Kia ora and welcome to this video series produced by the University of Otago Legal Issues Centre.

This video explains how you can get some legal help, even when you are representing yourself.

If you are representing yourself in court

you might find that you need some legal help along the way.

You might need someone to write or review a document

before you file it in court,

advise you about what steps to take next,

or prepare for an event like a settlement conference.

Can I get legal help if I don't have a lawyer?

Yes! One way to get legal help is to pay a lawyer to give you unbundled advice.

Unbundled, or limited retainer advice,

is where a lawyer gives you advice on just one part of your case.

So instead of representing you for the whole case,

or the whole bundle of jobs,

some lawyers will help you with just one or two parts of the bundle.

Like writing a document

or discussing what steps to take.

How do I find a lawyer to give me unbundled advice?

Well not all lawyers will give unbundled advice

as it can be difficult for them.

To help you find a lawyer,

try asking a lawyer you already know

or get names from friends.

You might also ask your community law centre

for a list of lawyers who offer unbundled advice.

When you contact a lawyer

be very clear about what help you need.

When you visit the lawyer

make sure you have a clear explanation

about what has happened in your case

and take the main documents.

Without this information a lawyer won't be able to help

even with a small part of the case.

So how is unbundled advice different from hiring a lawyer?

Unbundled advice is advice on one part of your case.

The lawyer is not agreeing to represent you or act on your behalf.

You will still be representing yourself

and be responsible for your case.

You will need to pay for the unbundled advice

but of course it is much cheaper than paying for a lawyer to run your whole case.

Thanks for watching this video. We hope you found it useful.

Ka kite anō!

a speedpaint because i like the way the picture turned out (read desc) - Duration: 1:43.

Hi, sorry there's no music

To make up for it, I'll talk for some of the video.

So the person I'm drawing now is named Yui!

She comes from a very traditional Japanese home.

However, she doesn't want to be traditional.

So she acts really rebellious.

Oh crap, we're already on the 3rd person!

Ok, so the 2nd person was named Pumpkin.

She likes the Fall season and pumpkins!

The 3rd person is named December.

She has PTSD (I won't say why) and she doesn't have emotions anymore.

(I know that's not how it works but play along)

(Also she lost her emotions after this photo)

The last person I drew, the one on the ceiling, is named Mimi!

She reaaaaallllyyy likes cats!

And they're all magical girls!

Cool, huh?

The magical girl anime their world is in is the anime "Puella Magi Madoka Magica."

It's my favorite anime!

Ok, I'm out of things to talk about.

Bye bye!!!!!

The pictures Mark Zuckerberg didn't want you to see - Duration: 4:20.

The pictures Mark Zuckerberg didn't want you to see

A photographer claims he was accused of breaching privacy by Facebook after taking photos of Mark Zuckerberg cleaning up his dog's poo.

Photojournalist Nick Stern says he was approached by security guards for taking the snaps – on a public street – and told to drive to Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, California, in April 2011.

When he got there, he says he was escorted inside by the guards and met by two senior Facebook employees who told him he was breaching Zuckerberg's privacy and must stop taking photos of the billionaire.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, the photographer reportedly accused the tech giant of hypocrisy in light of the recent Cambridge Analytica data leak reports.

'It's ironic that Zuckerberg will go to such extraordinary lengths to protect his own privacy – when the privacy of millions of people doesn't appear to have been high on his priority list,' he told the Mail.

The 50-year-old, who lives in Los Angeles but is originally from Hertford in the UK, said the way the meeting was conducted left him feeling 'intimidated'.

'I never once invaded his privacy – I only ever took pictures of him when he was out in public doing normal things like walking his dog,' Nick said.

'He was becoming a huge public figure – so people were interested to learn about who this guy was.

'A short time after the dog mess pictures were published I was sat in my car when a security guy pulled up in a golf buggy and told me I had been summoned to Facebook headquarters.

'I was shocked I didn't even know how they knew who I was.

'The security followed me all the way to the parking lot at Facebook and I was then escorted to a meeting with Debbie Frost, who was then head of public policy and Jonathan Thaw from the PR department.

'They told me that Zuckerberg's private life and the life of those around him is private and should remain so – and that I had no right pursuing him or stories about him to publish.

'This is despite the fact that he was quickly becoming a huge public figure – and Facebook had millions of users around the world.

'They didn't threaten me as such but it was an intimidating set up.

'If anything the pictures were endearing – especially the dog mess ones – it showed that despite being a billionaire he wasn't afraid of dirty work.' Debbie Frost is now Vice-President Global Affairs and Communications at Facebook and Jonathan Thaw is Vice President of Communications.

Zuckerberg, 33, has been summoned to Parliament to answer questions on Facebook's alleged involvement in the Cambridge Analytica revelations.

A whistleblower revealed that data from 50 million users was improperly harvested to target voters in close-run elections including Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Brexit.

Facebook shares have fallen almost 18% since March 17 when the allegations were made.

Zuckerberg has repeatedly apologised and bought full-page advertisements in US and British newspapers promising to do more to restrict access to users' information.

New Zealand Legal Services: What Does a Lawyer Do? - Duration: 2:13.

Kia ora and welcome to this video series produced by the University of Otago Legal Issues Centre.

This video explains what happens when you instruct a lawyer to act for you in a dispute.

Can any lawyer help me take my case to court?

No,

as not all lawyers will do court work.

When you talk to a lawyer about your case,

they might decide to run it on their own,

or they might bring in another specialised lawyer

called a barrister, who mostly works in the Court.

What will my lawyer do?

Your lawyer is responsible for your case

and will act on your behalf.

They will make decisions about how your case is run.

They will prepare and file legal documents

communicate with the party on the other side,

and will speak to the judge in court.

But how do I know what they are doing?

Your lawyer should keep you informed about how the case is progressing.

In fact, they must discuss the case with you

before they make any decisions on your behalf.

When you tell your lawyer what you want to happen,

this is called "giving instructions".

Do I have a contract with my lawyer?

Yes.This is called the "terms of engagement"

The terms of engagement set out what your lawyer will do for you

and how much you will pay for that service.

Sometimes the lawyer's tasks need to change as the case progresses.

Your lawyer might ask you to sign an updated agreement if this happens.
