Waching daily Jun 5 2018

all right congratulations you made it you're done with treatment super

exciting I hope that you love your new smile on your bite so I'm here to talk

to you about five things you need to know about retainers so you can keep

your teeth straight for the rest of your life

I wish that it was just do braces or Invisalign and you're done but that's

sadly not the case five things you need to know number one you have to wear your

retainers you do there's no way around it your teeth will shift if you do not

the reason I know this is because I see it all the time the first two to four

weeks you need to wear your retainers full time 24 hours a day the only thing

you should be taking them out for its eating drinking and brushing your teeth

that's it your teeth are most prone to relapse or go back to their original

positions right after races come on so after a

month we will look at your teeth and if it looks good we'll let you go to night

time only if you do miss a night it's not the end of the world but where the

next day for sure and and then wear it through the night just to make sure your

teeth stay nice and stable after around two to three years of wearing at

nighttime only you can cut back to two to four nights per week but not until

you hit that three year mark even when you're wearing it two to four nights per

week that is at a minimum it will never hurt you to wear more than that it will

hurt you if you were at less than that and even with retainers in your mouth

there are some times where the teeth will still have little tiny movements

within the retainers I tell people that this is very naturally your body kind of

wants to find an equilibrium on how the new bite fits how they keep mine up as

long as you wear retainers really really well the teeth won't get far even if you

notice little tiny shifts in your teeth continue wearing your retainers it's

super super important all right the second thing to know about your

retainers is this they will break at some point they're made out of plastic

so you can kind of see this is a typical retainer that we use here the nice thing

about these retainers is they're really clear so they're not noticeable but also

that they keep the teeth very very tightly held because they're very

intimately fitted to your teeth so they'll work very well but on the flip

side you are gonna break them at some point your job is gonna be when it does

break to get it replaced but there's certain levels of the routine of

breaking that you just need to know about so I'm a big deal on some arm if

the retainer begins to crack in one little area and it's just a little craft

keeper in it it's fun it'll work great don't worry about that if the crack

begins to wrap around from one side to another and it start

you start to see it's kind of getting bigger and bigger it's almost as if the

retainer is almost in two pieces that's when you might want to come see me so we

can get a new one place if you start to notice that little crack on one side

though what I want you to do is start pulling the retainer out from the other

side because every time you pull it out on the sides of the crack and it located

its gonna continue to want to make it bigger bigger

remember small cracks don't worry about it continue wearing it even if you start

wearing a hole through your retainers don't worry about it it's still gonna

work everybody's a little bit different with how fast they go through these some

people retainers last 10 20 years with other people it lasts three months it

just depends on a lot of things it depends on your bite your teeth if you

grind lots of grinders go through change very quickly I would say it's better to

grind through plastic than it is to grind through your own teeth and then

need a bunch of crowns in your mouth it's less expensive for you to invest in

a new piece of plastic for your teeth to keep your teeth straight than it is to

reinvest in full braces or Invisalign again number three if your retainers

start to feel tight you need to wear more so this is really important when

your teen is feel tight it just means that your teeth are trying to move so if

you can fit them in all the way you're still okay that just means we're

more you're still in in the stage where the retainers can kind of push things

back for you that's a really great stage to be in if you miss a period of several

weeks and you can still get it in keep wearing it as much as you can to make

sure it's seated all the way to see if it can shift your teeth back if you

can't get it in at all that's when you need to see me right away so we can make

new retainers so your teeth don't shift anymore or you need to read it open the

idea of braces to fix whatever teeth have shifted number four if you lose

your retainer call us right away because teeth will shift so you never want to

get to the point where you lose it and then you don't get around to calling me

for another month or two and then you come in and your teeth have shifted

there's not much you can do with a new retainer to shift them back predictably

anyway usually if you want your teeth shifted back at that point we need to

reopen the idea of braces again if you lose your retainer cost the same day all

right or the next day if you want to give yourself a day to look for it and

then we want to get you in within the week at the late a couple other bonus

tips for you if you do have a metal bar on either your upper teeth or your lower

teeth most we're gonna give you a clear one that

goes over the top of it so if the metal bar comes out or if it breaks in any way

keep it make sure you bring it in so we can redo it for you it's okay not to get

in right away if your metal bar comes out but only if your continue wearing

your clear retainer over the top of your teeth you're clear retainer will hold

things while we're waiting to get you back in to resubmit next tip how to

clean your retainers I get this question all the time just using a toothbrush and

some water is really gonna be your best bet you can use toothpaste but I usually

advise people to use it on the inside of the retainer rather than the outside and

the reason is sometimes there's abrasives in toothpaste that can kind of

scratch the surface the retainer and just make it a little bit more cloudy in

appearance if it's starting to smell a little funny then what you can do is put

it in some scope for a little bit of time I wouldn't leave it overnight

in scope ever because first of all you should be wearing it overnight but

secondly sometimes if you leave it in kind of a pigmented solution like that

it can pick up the color of it quickly what you want to do is is put it in for

just a short period on 10 15 minutes of the mouth there are some products out

there that are specifically designed for retainers that you can look up and buy

over-the-counter or bring it in to your next visit and or drop it off and you

have something called an ultrasonic that helps clean retainers super super well

here it doesn't take very long for us to do it 10 15 minutes at the most

all right guys I hope these tips helped you your retainer use and some other

protocol that we have here because I really really am interested in making

sure that you keep your teeth straight for the rest of your life if you have

any questions please let me know thank you guys again and be well

Secret to Shop for Clothes While Losing Weight - Duration: 4:34.

have you ever looked in your closet and felt frustrated that you have nothing to

wear from last season. It's even worse if you have this big client or

you're going to this big event. And you find yourself trying on clothes after

clothes after clothes and nothing seems to fit from last year. It's even worse if you

have a big event coming up or you have this big client that you have to meet

and you still and you have nothing that you can put on that looks appropriate

that's going to make you feel powerful. So you decide today is my day I'm going do

some shopping therapy. But don't worry you're not alone there's so many other

women who have felt exactly like you in fact 60% of women around the world are

overweight 23% of them are White 36% of them are Latina and 38%

of them are black women. In this video you're going to learn my secret to how to

shop why you're losing weight. So pay attention!

So here I am in a Genevieve boutique in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. You have to

come. If you live in the city of Chicago you must come visit her boutique.

She has the most fabulous clothes! So in this video you're going to learn how to

shop while losing weight. Before I share my secrets with you I want you to first

click on the SUBSCRIBE button and then after you click on a SUBSCRIBE button

make sure that you also CLICK THE BELL to get a notification when

a new video comes out this week.

secret #1, one ditch the belly bloat if you're going to be having lunch for the day

make sure that you have lunch after you do your shopping so nothing will cause

your stomach to bloat up. Second thing is knowing that there are certain

foods that can increase your chances of belly bloat and some of those foods are

broccoli, kale, cauliflower, white onion and artichokes. So reduce those foods if

you're going to be doing some shopping for the day. Secret number 2,

Regulate your sodium intake, who doesn't love pasta or a nice crunchy

salad to get your afternoon started. But here's the thing go easy on the

sodium especially when you're having a salad because what happens is when

you're having a salad the dressing is loaded with salt so if you want to do

something as an alternative just ask the wait staff if they can bring

you something as an alternative such as olive oil and half a lemon. Then just squeeze it on your salad instead

and put your own salt and pepper on it, that way you've made your own instant

easy vinaigrette right there at your table. And you have control over how much

salt is put into it. It's so important for you to reduce your salt intake

because when you have more salt in your diet you actually have sodium water

retention and that is something that causes your body to swell up as well and

not to mention once you try on all those amazing clothes I'm sure you will want

to buy a pair fabulous shoes to go along with it.

Secret #3, Reduce liquid beverages. Sparkling water and carbonated drinks

are a chic woman's favorite go-to. Nothing like a glass of Pellegrino

with a lime or a hint of cucumber in the inside of it. But here's the thing

carbonated beverages they actually cause gas bubbles in your stomach so they can

make you bloat up like a balloon even if you don't even try to do so. Black coffee

is a diuretic so stay clear of having black coffee before you go and do your

shopping. Because it's a diuretic, in some people it can even

cause laxative effect so having black coffee before you do your shopping what

will happen is you will be going back and forth to the bathroom. You don't want to

stop the flow once you start trying on your clothes.

Here is also 1 tip to remember...weight gain didn't happen overnight neither will it

fall off overnight.

Linkedin Recommendations - How to Get Them (2018) - Duration: 5:09.

last night I received a message from a recent college graduate in India she

said hello sir I saw your LinkedIn profile tips video

and I just wanted to know how to add recommendations to your LinkedIn profile

that is what we're going to talk about today in this video the very first tip

that I have for you is write a recommendation for the person you've

identified first before you ask them to write a recommendation for you now this

is typically bit counterintuitive but if you spend the time to craft a really

great recommendation for this person (a) they're going to know how to structure a

great recommendation back to you and (b) they are far more likely to actually write

a recommendation for you once you've extended a recommendation to them you

might be asking what does a great recommendation look like and that's what

I'm going to show you right now John and I met during our time at American

Express we were teammates assigned to create a new corporate payment portal

for card holders with a tight deadline and limited resources from the onset of

the project John knew he had to get it right he spent countless hours

distilling extremely complex topics into actionable steps for engineers and he

raised numerous red flags long before problems had a chance to derail the

project come to think of it I never once saw John crumble under the pressure of

the launch and trust me there was a lot of pressure it was a pleasure working

with John and I hope our paths cross in the future so what did I do here the

first thing I did was I painted the context of the situation in a

recommendation people that are reading it from the outside world have no idea

what you did within that company right so the key in this situation is to paint

context that is rich enough for somebody that's an outsider to actually

understand what you did the other thing I did was I talked about two specific

superpowers one is the ability to distill complex topics down and the

other is not crumbling under pressure right so I

brought those things out as well and I'm trying to be as specific as possible in

this recommendation without giving away too many possibly sensitive details that

are confidential within the company step number two send them a message send

this person either an email or a LinkedIn message letting me know that

you just wrote them a recommendation and that you're looking for a recommendation

from them too how do you do that? I'll show you a little template that I like

to use right here hey John I wanted to let you know I wrote a recommendation

for you on LinkedIn that I included below wondering if you could take a few

minutes of your time to write one for me too

that's all you got to do guys really simple the chances of you getting a

great recommendation for this person or from this person is really high step

number three send and request the recommendation through LinkedIn I'll

show you a couple of steps that you need to do on the LinkedIn page right now ok

guys so I've landed on a person's page that I'm interested in getting a

recommendation from this person is by the name of Jordan Carroll he's got a

really interesting business called negotiable reality you should definitely

check his business out if you have some time the first thing I want to do is

click on the more' button and I want to scroll down here to recommend I'm asked

a series of question how do you know Jordan what's the relationship and I

fill in those and then I click on the next button I paste the recommendation

in that I've already given to Jordan via email and you know that email was just a

heads up that this was going to happen so I hit the send button here the next

thing and by the way Jordan has the ability to moderate that comment right

so he can decide to post it or not but likely you know you've written a really

nice recommendation and put a lot of thought into it he's

definitely gonna want to post it on his profile the next thing you do here click

the more button again and you click on request a recommendation now you're not

blindsiding them here because you've already sent him an email this is just

gonna send a reminder through his LinkedIn profile as a message and you do

the same steps right what's the relationship what's a position at the

position at the time hit the next button and that's it guys you're done I'll

close with this guy's general rule of thumb is you only need about three to

five total recommendations on your profile the key is quality over quantity if

you liked the video hit that like button hit that subscribe button I got a lot

more videos coming just like this my name is John Marty helping you pursue

professional and personal success so you can live a life you truly enjoy thanks a

lot

Douglas Parkhurst: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 12:28.

Douglas Parkhurst: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Whether it was Karma or just chance, the 68-year-old man killed when he was stuck by a car, some witnesses claim while pushing kids out of the way, at a Little League game in Maine Friday night confessed in 2013 to running down and killing a little girl trick-or-treating on Halloween in 1968 in the small upstate New York town of Futon, northwest of Syracuse near the border of Lake Ontario; a deadly hit and run for which he'd escaped responsibility.

Even when he did confess, after being confronted by police 44 years later, Parkhurst did so only after having confirmed by police he'd not "be in trouble" for killing 4-year-old Carolee Ashby and leaving her twisted dead body in the road.

A witness thought what he'd seen that night in '68 was a car hitting a teddy bear and throwing it more than 100 feet into the air.

When the driver came closer, he and others saw a dead child, not a stuffed animal, it was reported.

Parkhurst was struck and killed June 1, police said, by Carol Sharrow, 51, of Sanford, Maine when the woman drove her car erratically and inexplicably on a ball field as youngsters were playing a game.

People fled as the car drove quickly and randomly around the field but Parkhurst, near the exit gate, was hit and died as a result of his injuries.

Sharrow, who friends said suffered from mental illness and "couldn't hurt a flea," was charged by police with manslaughter.

Parkhurst was never charged in connection with the death of Ashby who he admitted killing with his car while under the influence of alcohol with his brother passed out in the back seat because the statute of limitations had run out and he could not be charged; only murder has not legal limit, but a hit and run that resulted in a child's death, however horrid and unforgivable, isn't murder according to the law and police that worked the case decades after the slaying had their hands tied.

Parkhurst confessed and moved on, a free man.

Here's what you need to know:.

Sharrow, Who 'Wouldn't Hurt a Flea,' is Facing a Manslaughter Charge in Parkhurt's Death.

In a since removed Facebook post, Sharrow's "best friend" Densie Bass said Sharrow was ill and "wouldn't hurt a flea.

"…Even though I may get slack by saying this, and I'm not excusing what this woman, my best friend, has done, doesn't mean she's an animal.

She wouldn't hurt a flea.

She got me through some tough times.

She was a great worker, she loved her daughter and family.

She loved life! When she wakes up from this evilness that controlled her she will not be able to live with what she did…".

"The vehicle entered the park through the main gate and drove onto the field.

Bystanders and ballplayers scattered to avoid the vehicle as it drove erratically on the ballfield.

The vehicle struck a closed gate and then sped toward the open main gate.

The vehicle struck a pedestrian who was near the main gate, and then sped from the scene.

The pedestrian who was struck was Douglas Parkhurst, 58 of Sanford.

Mr Parkhust died while en route to the hospital.

Sharrow appeared in court Monday and her bond was set at $500,000.

A reporter tweeted that there were a number of people in the courtroom, some emotional, none of whom wanted to talk.

He said it wasn't clear if they were present or Sharrow or Parkhurst.

Parkhurst Was Questioned by Police in 1968 About The Death of Carolee Ashby & Later Admitted he Lied to Cops But Said in His Confession They Never Challenged His Story.

"That night I told the police I had a guard post.

That did not happen, but I don't know why the police never challenged me on this.

I wish they did.

I would've told him the truth," Parkhurst wrote in his 2013 confession.

jpg?quality=65&strip=all&w=782&strip=all alt=Douglas Parkhurst width=782 height=260 class=size-inline wp-image-1714795> In his 2013 confession, Parkhurst said police never challenged his story and he walked away.

A number of people on social media have complained that the crime is so far it the past, it is best left forgotten.

Read the police interview with Parkhurst from 2013 here.

"Good lord," wrote Kate Fagan.

"It was 50 years ago in a completely different state.

This man probably lived with that guilt his entire life.

Why is it being brought up now? You couldn't just let someone be remembered for the good they did.

The press will always dig up negative information.

May he finally Rest In Peace.".

Doug Green replied, "At least he got 50 years of life.

Unlike the 4 yr old who was denied that.

Living with it is a small price to pay for taking a child's life, and never being held accountable.

I'd say it was karma.".

The Family of Carolee Ashby Felt Closure, Relief & Justice After Hearing Parkhurst Was Dead & How He Died.

Upon hearing the news of Parkhurst's death, Darlene Ashby McCann, who'd been holding her little sister Carolee's hand that Halloween night told reporter Beth Quimby, "It feels it has made a full circle.

Now I am relieved. I truly am.

The same thing that happened to my sister happened to him.

It made a complete circle.

Now it is time to move on." But added that she's never gotten over what happened and has suffered from depression her whole life.

She said the family never received an apology directly from Parkhurst.

His confession includes apologies.

"I know in my heart and I am 99.9% sure I hit that little girl," Parkhurst wrote in his confession.

"I am oh so sorry.

I can't change anything but I hope this apology will be excepted and I beg for forgiveness.

Again I am sorry for what happened I didn't see the little Ashby girl.

Please forgive me I did not intentionally hit that little girl.

I'm sorry.".
