Doodles and First Pins - Weekly Art Vlog #1 - Duration: 24:44.
Hi!
So I wanted to test on my channel a new kind of videos. I want to make weekly
vlogs. Basically I will be filming everyday, bits of pieces of me making art
It's going to be about me drawing, sketching, creating pins, taking care of
my shop, building my business and that sort of things. And then I will publish the videos on Sundays.
I think documenting this in videos will have me focus on what I have to do every week. So hopefully it will help me and I thought it would be interesting
for you to see those behind the scenes moments of me creating the art that you
see maybe on Instagram or on my art videos. Yes, so next I'm gonna take you to my
workspace and then I will get to work
okay so very quickly over here you've
got some decoration I've got my swatches from my promarkers. Decoration. I've got
my sketching and inking supplies, some masking tapes, cutting tools, my little
doodles of September, a ruler, a cutting mat, some sketchbooks. And I've got all my markers.
basically this is where I draw and of course I do draw here sometimes I've got
my Wacom tablet over here.
I just received my package
it's my Halloween pins and I'm so excited to open it
Okay so I've removed the pins from the plastic, from all of them
and I'm gonna check their good quality and all, and I have to say um this feels
very weird to have something that I created manufactured right in front of
me I'm gonna show you a close-up. There should be about 50 of them. Now I'm gonna
sort them out. So this is a good example of a perfect pin some of them have flaws
but because the colors are filled by hand it's I mean it's something you can't
really avoid.
okay so I've got to do that for all the spins
so far I've got much more pins with flaws than without. Okay so I'm done
sorting them. Those are the good ones those on the flawed ones. Some flaws are
really really really small. I might actually, depending on the flaws, I might
actually be able to put them in the good batch.
okay so this is example of a flawed
one, I don't know if you'd be able to see so where I'm pointing over there
there's a sort of a gap in the filling so it's really small but it's there
okay so another example do you see below the moon there's sort of a scratch
So my cat is home, let's see if she likes the pins.
okay I don't think she cares okay so now I have to work on a comic page for a
magazine I'm doing with my friends and I'm very very late let's all get to it
it is I think 5:00 p.m. and I need a little break but this is what I have so
far also always sketch my ID first on paper
okay so I've done my little doodle you know comes the fun part
are we gonna get it done okay everything set up I've got my photo
hey guys it's Tuesday and I'm starting today with some nice baby
alright received sweet cute little face let me show you they're made by minnow
and moose and I receive my cooler box I guess and I have to work on this
illustration that goes with my hello Halloween fiend so this is what I'm
going to do this afternoon and also have to work on some other projects
okay so I think I'm done this is what I have so far and doesn't really look like
before as you can see I hope this is an improvement
okay now I'm editing the picture a little bit and then I'm adding the text
publish under the picture and there we go
by the way if you're wondering what I'm doing I'm taking part is this challenge
by youtuber say lemon and if you go to the ashtag see lemon and you can see
other people's work okay last update of the day I made a
little mock-up card or my wind cut zombie bin hello everyone its Winstead
today this morning you have to do a lot of boring stuff something to do with
administration and stuff like that but now I'm going to shoot pictures for this
little guy okay so for shooting I won't other other
wing pins so this is my pin drawer I'm gonna grab a few of them okay so those
are all the other and pins that I got so far so we've got one from glitter Punk
three from Magic Circle one is from ugly pants yes I think plants you know but
this one is my Pokemon other in circus 2016 then add of three or four foot box
to do and this is marine
I get for the second picture I want to use my very old button drawer and I got
my envelopes I think I've got the wrong size I'm an idiot
no yeah three the maximum and I bought those for my acceptance project thinking
should be enough for my other pins I guess because I doubt people buy more
than one and one of cheapens is more than enough so fast forward a lot of
hours it is now 8 p.m. and I've done my little drawing over today the theme was
Raven and this is a pigeon feather but this is the only real feather that I
could find for decoration so that won't do so it's 11:30 p.m. it's quite late
I'm going to bed in a few minutes but I wanted to show you what I've been
working on that those are my sketches for inktober that will start in a couple
of days now I thought that since this is my first of in Toba I might as well
stick to the official rules and plants anyway so this is my first sketch for
Swift this is my sketch for divine it and this
is very rough this is my sketchbook poison this is my sketch for underwater
so yeah that's it for today in a little bit for tomorrow's vlog I'll everyone
I'm starting the day with a little shoot for my man cat zombie pin it's really an
amazing feeling to hold in my hands something that I made I mean I didn't
made it by hand but I designed the open also with the envelope issue from
yesterday I figured I would still ship those pins inside because I'm gonna keep
it one you can fit I think - I printed like you know mock-up this is the
tracking number and this is the stamp and this is one enough room for the
address and my address so I will go to the post office later today and ask them
if I can create a template my own template with the same information but
maybe a bit less wide so I hope this is also I just realized I've it's 600
subscribers on my youtube channel that's amazing thank you so so so so so much
few hours later it is 7 p.m. I went to the post office this afternoon and I can
totally create my own template like this and put it on my envelope as long as I
have the right informations so that's good you guys I totally forgot but the
most important news of the day is that I received pictures of my pins and assure
you the rest of them this is the deer this
is the otter the fox and the owl honestly I'm just so happy I was so
scared the colors were going to be bad I think the one that was the most
complicated in terms of colors was the Fox those two colors what difficult to
pick this one I would have picked a lighter one because it's it's a bit too
right and I wanted passed home I'm still very
very happy it's 11 p.m. super tired I'm going to bed I'm just showing you new
drawing of the day little maze I'm going to see you in a minute
and everyone so I'm back today for vlogging yesterday was just so busy and
today is also a very very busy day this is everything that I have to do today I
usually have my planner like this this is a cinnamon one but you know the
spaces are really small so for today I made a whole list okay so I have to draw
the theme for today for yesterday's student when I didn't have time to do
yeah yesterday was footprint and today is gradient
I really love seeing them organized in colors also I realized that those being
the last students of September I need to film a sketchbook to update so I've got
to showcase my drawings from July August and September first thing is done game
I've received my little plastic baggies for my pins when I tested it this looks
pretty good except for the width I wanted to take a
pictures of all my little doodles from the month of September I think they look
so cool when they all next to each other so which one is your favorite I think
mine or the fish orange I did like the pencil and cheek okay so I'm preparing
my stuff for inktober tomorrow so basically I'm cutting my paper from a
variable sketchbook and those are 15 centimeters by 21 and I'm gonna take out
as many as I need for one of the days
and I think those ready for me to wear okay next thing is this this is actually
a light box probably can't see but they forgive there's a switch turn it once
for dim light twice for brighter light and three times for and even move right
light so the reason why I'm using a light box and not not thinking directly
on my sketches is I actually want to keep my sketches and compare them to the
ink piece in the end those are all the tests that I've made with the ink
wait let me bring you a little closer so those are the tests that I've made this
is the first one so I use this new edge this one I'm gonna use for my drawings
for the outline and then I use some Ecoline ink like this one first
try and I'm not satisfied 100% satisfied with them but I mean I tried ok so just
notice that in my sketches all of them off like full body sketches
except this one and I don't know if I'm bothered by it like I don't know if I
want all of them to be full body or if why I'm gonna mix it sometimes if it's
the only one that is not full body it's gonna be a bit weird maybe I don't know
like I've made the first two then a portrait and I can make two full bodies
and then a portrait maybe I'll do that hello
so I'm editing my video of the week the long
and I'm already at eight or nine nine minutes and it's only day two on the
video though I think that next week I'm gonna also have losing my voice so I was
saying next week I'm gonna cut a bit more pieces I finished editing until
Friday and for now the vlog is 16 minutes long
which is okay if you consider that I've edited five days out of seven okay it's
time to stop inktober I'm gonna tape this to my light box and I'm taking a
piece of paper

because I'm don't racing I'm gonna remove very carefully deep
and this is what I have so this is the first catch and this is your sketch
after I've chased like I'm gonna in this space but I need to stop vlogging for
this week because I still have to edit export and upload but I hope you enjoyed

So while looks may draw us in, it's the stuff that's inside that will make us stay

to others.
To be considered attractive to the majority of the human race, you don't need to be
the most gorgeous person in the room.
It's your attitude that shines through and leaves an impression on those you meet.
If you're confident and happy, you're going to attract people with those same qualities.
And isn't that what you want?
Make yourself more attractive instantly by believing you are a beautiful person in your
own right.
No need to be cocky and self-absorbed.
Just have confidence in yourself.
When you change your mind about that, and start exuding self confidence and a sense
of happiness, you can attract a some great people into your life.

Familiarity Breeds Attraction People are comfortable with what is familiar
to them.
You might notice this in several relationships around you.
Many sets of parents, for example, are from the same background or have the same tastes.
That's no coincidence.
We tend to become attracted to, and connect with, the people that we often see and experience
around us.
So, if you like someone, make sure you see that person often.
Just don't overdo it.
You don't want to come off as a creeper.
Holding back and conveying a little mystery is good.
Balance is important.

characteristics of humans make them look more attractive.
In women, it's that youthful look as well as the curvy body features we discussed earlier.
For men, it's those same masculine features such as strong jawlines and broad shoulders.
But it gets even more interesting!
According to two different studies published in the AMJ of Sociology Journals and Behavior
Brain Science, financial success is also correlated with dominant, masculine facial features,
and there's no doubt women find these incredibly attractive.
It isn't surprising that the strong and attractive types get larger amounts the attention.
This not only happens in a personal setting, but clearly in a business setting, as well.
Is it their drive, ambition, or their good looks and strong features and traits that
makes them more noticeable; which can lead to more opportunities for success.
So, it's interesting (if not surprising) that they are also the most financially successful
types, as well.

Attracted to the Unattainable We want what we can't have.
It's in our nature, and something marketers play upon when creating advertisements.
Experts say we want someone who is unattainable because they come as close to perfection in
our minds as possible.
That's why if you really want someone to notice and want you, don't make yourself
too available.
Be kind, but not overly friendly.
And always look like you are happy, busy and full of life.
People are funny, but they tend to come running when they thinks you are out of reach.
We might not like the phrase, "playing hard to get."
But, there is something to be said for enjoying the challenge of winning someone over who
is not easily available.

But there are definitely set standards of beauty that are crammed down our throats thanks
to TV, magazines, and what we see online.
So our opinion of beauty is often quite skewed.

will sadly overlook the fabulous person standing right before them.
The media understands that people desire the unattainable, so they perpetuate our desire
for it by bombarding all mediums of with those types of images.

Our idea of the perfect partner is more about our own personality, interests and style as
opposed to biological attraction.
Some cultures even frown upon marrying outside of their educational and economic class.

still hold true.
Marrying for love is not a priority to everyone.

we choose.
David Perett, a researcher at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, conducted a study
where he showed his students the photos of the opposite sex, and asked them to rate each
photo on attractiveness.
All of the faces that were used were morphed to turn students' faces into the opposite
sex.
What's interesting, and a little mind-blowing, is that every student picked their own face!

She says that a single person can have more than one personality type, leading to more
