Learning a foreign language will most likely be
the most difficult thing you will do as an adult
and by learn, I mean master reach the highest level
because there is no other level to me
Language is what makes us human
therefore you either know it or you shouldn't bother at all
And this is especially true about English, the only true global language
Learning a foreign language is a very complex endeavor
it requires a lot of time and effort
therefore one of the most important questions you need to ask yourself is:
Am I using the most effective and efficient method for learning English?
In other words:
am I wasting my time, money and effort
This video will give you a visual demonstration
of the importance of being both effective and efficient
show the damage you can inflict on yourself and others when you are being wasteful
A short history lesson
After WW2, Germany was divided into 2 unequal parts
On one hand, east hand, right hand
A democratic peoples republic of complete democracy and freedom DDR
under the friendly guidance of the democratic and socialistic and friendly Russia
or is it was known then The Soviet Union of friendly and democratic and socialist republics
the largest country in the world and the richest in natural resources
The other part of Germany, the west part, was occupied by the
imperialistic and capitalistic United States of capitalist and imperialist America
as well as its capitalist puppets Great Britain and France
Germans, both east and west, being the industrious folks that they are
resumed car production
First were the oppressed Germans in the west
Having their factory leveled off during WW2, this little-known company built this car 9 years later
considered one of the best worst in history
which comes to no surprise considering the oppressive and exploitative nature
of capitalism and American imperialism.
The happy and free east Germans follow suit and 3 years after their oppressed brothers
came up with this, this vehicle and they called it Trabant
Mind you, same Germans, same blood, same DNA, only 500 km apart
different means of production, different social and political system, different methods
As you can see both vehicles have 4 wheels, 2 doors, a steering wheel, basically the same thing
both can take you from A to B, as long as B is nearby
30 years later the oppressed west Germans went from that atrocity to this one
The democratic and free east German brothers and sisters made a giant leap forward
and went from that to this
As you can see again no major differences
both vehicles have 4 wheels, windshield wipers a steering wheel, basically the same thing
However, as we all know, appearances can be deceiving
there is so much more than meets the eye
One small difference was that the Trabant was made from cotton,
Let me repeat that, the Trabant was made from cotton
and not just any cotton but from recycled cotton waste
and not just any waste but recycled cotton waste from the Soviet Union
the richest country in the world in terms of natural resources
Cotton waste and paper
The happy and highly trained east German proletariat
used a cotton cutting technique knows as: I couldn't care less about my fingers
Extremely efficient as you can see
On the other hand, the poor and unfree west Germans were using
a production method knows as: where the hell is everybody?
West Germans were so lazy they were using robots to build their cars
By contrast, east German Trabant was handmade
and the most important tool the effective east Germans used was the Hammer
The hammer was such an important tool
so important it was even added to their national emblem
A popular slogan from that era went something like:
There is nothing you cannot fix with a hammer and a bit of wire
Mind you, both videos are taken at roughly the same time, the late 80s
Same Germans, same language, same blood
Different political and economic systems, different methods of production
light years apart
One group of people producing crap, used to produce crap
The other group of people still producing one of the most sought-after cars in the world
enough of that
the moment of truth
you need to ask yourself the following question:
Is your English a Trabant or a Mercedes?
Is your English smooth and pleasant to the ear
or broken and off-putting
and if so, why?
why is your English broken?
Is it because you are using the wrong method?
is it because you are wasting your time?

or start reading

BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, AS WE'RE
SITTING HERE AND WE'RE
DISCUSSING THESE MATTERS, IT'S
VERY RELEVANT TO ME BECAUSE
I HAVE A SISTER-IN-LAW IN
CANADA WHO IS ABOUT TO DIE.
SHE'S BEEN STRUGGLING WITH
CANCER. AND THE QUESTION IS,
HOW CAN SHE DIE IN PEACE?
NOW, I'M VERY GLAD TO BE ABLE
TO REPORT THAT SHE IS GOING TO
BE ABLE TO DIE IN PEACE
BECAUSE SHE KNOWS JESUS CHRIST
AS HER PERSONAL SAVIOR.
YOU KNOW, THE BIBLE IS VERY
REALISTIC ABOUT DEATH.
WE KNOW THAT IT BEGAN IN
THE GARDEN OF EDEN WHEN SATAN
LIED AND SAID, "YOU WILL NOT
DIE." AND AFTER ADAM AND EVE
ATE OF THE FRUIT,
YOU REMEMBER, THEY DIDN'T
DIE PHYSICALLY IMMEDIATELY,
BUT THE PROCESS OF DEATH
BEGAN. AND YOU AND I AND
EVERYONE ELSE WHO IS LISTENING
HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE,
BECAUSE GOD ALREADY KNOWS
EXACTLY WHEN WE ARE TO DIE.
BUT HERE IS A VERSE OF
SCRIPTURE THAT IS VERY
ENCOURAGING. PAUL WROTE THAT
DEATH IS ACTUALLY
THE POSSESSION OF
THE CHRISTIAN. HE WRITES IN
FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:21-22,
JUST A SNATCH OF THE VERSE,
"ALL THINGS ARE YOURS; WHETHER
PAUL... OR CEPHAS,...
WHETHER LIFE OR DEATH."
IMAGINE THIS: DEATH IS
PRESENTED IN THE BIBLE AS
ACTUALLY A GIFT.
IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE
IF WE WERE TO LIVE ENDLESSLY
IN THIS SINFUL BODY.
DEATH ACTUALLY IS THE MEANS BY
WHICH GOD TAKES HIS PEOPLE TO
HIMSELF. YOU KNOW, DURING
THE TIME OF THE PERSECUTION
OF THE EARLY CHRISTIANS IT WAS
SAID OF THE CHRISTIANS,
"THEY CARRY THEIR DEAD AS IF
IN TRIUMPH." CYPRIAN WHO LIVED
IN THE EARLY CENTURIES SAID
THAT IT WAS THE PLAGUE,
AND BECAUSE OF THE PLAGUE
CHRISTIANITY SPREAD BECAUSE
EVERYONE REALIZED CHRISTIANS
DIED DIFFERENTLY THAN
THE PAGANS. CHRISTIANS DIE
WITH HOPE BECAUSE OF JESUS
CHRIST OUR SAVIOR.
AND THE BIBLE SAYS IN THE BOOK
OF HEBREWS THAT JESUS CAME TO
DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL
AND DELIVER THOSE WHO "THROUGH
FEAR OF DEATH HAVE BEEN
SUBJECT TO BONDAGE."
SO, JOHN, TODAY IF WE'RE
TALKING TO PEOPLE WHO ARE
AFRAID TO DIE, AND I'M SURE
THAT WE ARE, THE GOOD NEWS
IS THAT JESUS HELPS US
TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ON
THE OTHER SIDE. AND BELIEVE
IT OR NOT, WE NEED NOT FEAR
DEATH. IT IS A PLACE THAT IS
UNKNOWN, BUT THANKFULLY
WE KNOW WHAT LIES ON
THE OTHER SIDE.

CHRISTIANS. AND YET,
THERE SHOULD BE A FEAR OF
DEATH FOR PEOPLE THAT DO NOT
KNOW CHRIST. LAST WEEK TALKED
ABOUT THE HEART DOCTOR,
THE HEART SURGEON DR. MAURICE
RAWLINGS, THAT WE HAD ON
OUR PROGRAM SOME TIME AGO,
WHO HAD CATALOGED 300 PEOPLE
THAT HAD HELL EXPERIENCES WHO
DIED ON HIM CLINICALLY WHILE
HE WAS WORKING ON THEM. AND
HE LISTENED TO THEM TALKING
ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE SEEING.
AND EVENTUALLY THESE STORIES
SCARED HIM SO MUCH THAT
HE BECAME A CHRISTIAN HIMSELF.
AND WHAT I'M SAYING IS THAT
THE BIBLE SAYS THERE ARE
TWO PLACES WE GO TO...
WE CAN GO TO: ONE IS TO
HEAVEN, ONE IS TO HELL, OR
RIGHT NOW HADES, WHICH WILL
BE THROWN INTO HELL LATER ON.
AND RIGHT NOW WE'RE TALKING TO
THOSE WHO HAVE PUT THEIR FAITH
IN THE SON OF GOD, JESUS
CHRIST, WHO HAS THE POWER TO
SAVE THEM, THE ONE WHO DIED
FOR THEIR SINS AND WILL
FORGIVE THEM AND GIVE EACH
PERSON THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF
CHRIST HIMSELF SO THEY CAN
STAND BEFORE GOD AND HE ALSO
COMES INTO THEIR LIFE.
AND WHEN WE COME TO THIS TIME
OF DEATH, THAT'S WHAT WE'RE
TALKING ABOUT FOR
THE CHRISTIAN. AND I WANT TO
TALK ABOUT THIS FOR
THE CHRISTIAN, BUT I WANT
FOLKS ON THE OTHER SIDE TO
KNOW NOT EVERYBODY IS GOING
TO HEAVEN AUTOMATICALLY.
YOU DON'T GO THERE BY DEFAULT.
HOW DO YOU GO TO HEAVEN?
LET'S START WITH THAT.

YOU KNOW, THE REAL BASIS IS
THE FACT OF JESUS CHRIST,
AS YOU'VE MENTIONED, BECAUSE
HE IS THE ONE WHO HAS
THE KEYS OF DEATH AND OF
HADES, THE BIBLE SAYS. AND
MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD PLACE FOR
US TO RECOGNIZE WHY JESUS
CHRIST IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM
ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE.
BECAUSE I CAN IMAGINE PEOPLE
FROM OTHER RELIGIONS SAYING,
"WELL, I TRUST MY PROPHET.
I TRUST MY GURU. WHY JESUS?"
SO LET ME EXPLAIN.
JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO
IS QUALIFIED TO ACTUALLY BE
A SAVIOR. PROPHETS AND GURUS
MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU
HOW TO LIVE, BUT THEY CANNOT
WIPE AWAY YOUR SIN.
JESUS HIMSELF WAS SINLESS;
AND BECAUSE, YOU SEE,
HE WAS SINLESS, AND BECAUSE
HE WAS BOTH GOD AND MAN,
HE WAS ABLE TO BRING US
TOGETHER. AND HIS DEATH WAS
A SACRIFICE THAT GOD
THE FATHER ACCEPTED TOTALLY.
I LOVE THESE WORDS.
WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS
HE SAID, "IT IS FINISHED!"
AND I SAY RIGHT NOW TO THOSE
WHO ARE LISTENING, IF YOU
BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST PAID
FOR SIN, AND YOU RECEIVE
HIS PAYMENT AND RECEIVE HIM,
YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN.
AND PERHAPS LATER ON IN
THE SHOW WE CAN EVEN TALK
MORE ABOUT THE ASSURANCE THAT
COMES WITH THAT. BUT HOW
BLESSED IT IS. THAT'S WHY
THE APOSTLE PAUL COULD SAY,

DEATH IS A BLESSING.

THE MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION,

THEY TALKED ABOUT HIS EXODUS
THAT HE WAS TO ACCOMPLISH
IN JERUSALEM. THE WORD
"EXODUS" IS DEPARTURE.

TESTAMENT. SO I LIKE TO THINK

MOSES LED THE CHILDREN OF
ISRAEL OVER THE RED SEA
AND THEY DEPARTED EGYPT
FOR THE PROMISED LAND,
IN THE VERY SAME WAY JESUS
LEADS US ACROSS THAT RIVER.
HE TAKES US TO THE OTHER SIDE.
IN FACT, JOHN, THIS IS SO
EXCITING. WE SOMETIMES TALK
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST MEETING US
ON THE OTHER SIDE.
WE HAVE TO REALIZE
HE'S ALREADY WITH US ON THIS
SIDE IF WE KNOW HIM AS SAVIOR.
AND SO HE'S THE ONE WHO GUIDES
US THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE.

SAYS THAT DEATH IS A RESTFUL
SLEEP. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
>>LUTZER: WELL, IT IS SPEAKING
THERE ABOUT THE FACT THAT
THE BODY IS LIKE IN A STATE
OF SLEEP. YOU KNOW, JUST LIKE
LAST NIGHT I WENT TO BED
WITHOUT ANY FEAR AND I SLEPT
IN THE VERY SAME WAY.
I WOKE UP THIS MORNING IN
THE VERY SAME WAY. THE BODY
IS GOING TO BE RAISED AGAIN
IN THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.
NOW, I HAVE TO EMPHASIZE THERE
ARE MANY OF OUR FRIENDS WHO
THINK THAT THE SOUL ACTUALLY
SLEEPS, SO THEY THINK THAT
THERE'S NO CONSCIOUSNESS ON
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GRAVE
UNTIL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.
I REALLY BELIEVE THAT,
THAT IS WRONG. FOR EXAMPLE,
WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS,
YOU REMEMBER, THE THIEF SAID,
"REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU COME
INTO YOUR KINGDOM." AND JESUS
SAID TO HIM, "TODAY YOU WILL
BE WITH ME IN PARADISE."
NOW, THERE ARE SOME OF THESE
FOLKS WHO SAY, "WELL, REALLY
WHAT JESUS MEANT WAS, "I SAY
TO YOU TODAY, YOU SHALL BE
WITH ME IN PARADISE."
BUT YOU KNOW THAT REALLY MAKES
NO SENSE. OBVIOUSLY HE WAS
SAYING THAT TO THE THIEF
THAT DAY. AND SO WHAT WE MUST
RECOGNIZE IS THAT, THAT VERY
DAY BOTH OF THEM DIED AND
THEY WERE TOGETHER IN
PARADISE. PAUL SAID,
AS I MENTIONED, "TO BE ABSENT
FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT
WITH THE LORD." PAUL WAS
EXPECTING AN IMMEDIATE
EXPERIENCE WITH JESUS
AT DEATH.

HE SAID IN PHILIPPIANS 1:23,
"I DESIRE TO DEPART AND TO BE
WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR
BETTER." THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS
THERE'S NO BREAK IN
CONSCIOUSNESS. I THINK
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT
A LITTLE BIT.

EXPERIENCES BECAUSE SOMETIMES
THEY ARE DECEPTIVE.
BUT YEARS AGO WHEN PEOPLE DIED
WITHOUT A LOT OF ANESTHESIA
THEY ACTUALLY BEGAN TO
SEE INTO THE NEXT WORLD.
DWIGHT L. MOODY, WHO WAS
THE FOUNDER OF THE CHURCH OF
WHICH I HAVE BEEN THE PASTOR,
BEFORE HE DIED HE SAID,
"EARTH RECEDES, HEAVEN OPENS.
IF THIS BE DEATH IT IS
GLORIOUS." SO HE ACTUALLY WAS
ABLE ALREADY TO SEE INTO
THE NEXT WORLD. AND AS
A RESULT OF THAT HE RECOGNIZED
THAT HE WAS CONSCIOUS, FULLY
CONSCIOUS, IN THIS LIFE AND
THE SOUL, OR WE COULD SAY
THE MIND, CONTINUES ON
IN THE LIFE TO COME.
SO THERE IS REALLY NO BREAK
IN CONSCIOUSNESS.

OUR HOUSE IS TORN DOWN,
WE HAVE A BUILDING FROM GOD,
A HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS,
ETERNAL IN THE HEAVENS."
ALL OF US KNOW WHAT A TENT IS
LIKE. BECAUSE WHEN YOU'VE BEEN
IN A TENT FOR A LONG WHILE
AND THE TENT GETS OLD,
YOU FIND THAT SOME OF IT
GETS RIPPED; THERE ARE HOLES
WHERE THE RAIN COMES THROUGH.
AND YOU SAY TO YOURSELF,
"I NEED SOMETHING MORE
PERMANENT. I NEED A HOME."
AND YOU KNOW THAT ALL OF US
ARE GETTING OLDER. ALL OF US
FEEL THE ACHES AND PAINS THAT
COME WITH OLD AGE.
BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS.
YOU KNOW THE APOSTLE PAUL ALSO
SAID THAT "THE SUFFERING OF
THIS PRESENT WORLD IS NOT
WORTHY TO BE COMPARED WITH
THE GLORY THAT SHALL BE
REVEALED IN US." AND I SAY TO
THOSE WHO ARE LISTENING TODAY
THAT, AS A BELIEVER IN
JESUS CHRIST, REMEMBER THIS:
TIME IS SHORT, ETERNITY IS
LONG. AND WHEN YOU DIE
YOUR SPIRIT WILL GO INTO
GOD'S PRESENCE. YOU WILL BE
WITH JESUS. YOU WILL BE
FULLY CONSCIOUS. BUT AT
THE SAME TIME IN THE FUTURE
THERE'S GOING TO BE
A RESURRECTION AND YOU'RE
GOING TO HAVE A NEW BODY,
AN ETERNAL HOUSE, IF WE CAN

SO LET'S LISTEN TO THIS VERY
CAREFULLY. HERE'S THE IMAGERY.
IT REALLY IS BASED ON
OLD TESTAMENT TIMES AND NEW
TESTAMENT TIMES. WHEN A SHIP
WOULD COME INTO HARBOR
THERE WOULD BE ROCKS ON
EITHER SIDE, AND THERE WOULD
BE SOME DANGER. A FORERUNNER
WOULD HOP OFF OF THE SHIP,
RUN AHEAD, TAKE A ROPE WITH
HIM AND THEN, WITH AN ANCIENT
WINCH, WOULD ACTUALLY BRING
THE SHIP INTO THE HARBOR
SO THAT IT WOULD NOT BE
DASHED TO PIECES. AND THAT'S
WHAT JESUS HAS DONE.
AND I SAY TO PEOPLE TODAY,
YOUR TENT MAY BE COLLAPSING,
YOUR SHIP, THE BOARDS MAY BE
CREAKING. YOU MIGHT FIND THAT
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN YOU THINK
THAT YOU WON'T MAKE IT TO
THE HARBOR. BUT IF YOUR FAITH
IS IN JESUS, HE WENT AHEAD
OF US. HE ENTERED HEAVEN.
AND HE IS SAYING TO US NOW,
"I'M HERE FOR YOU AND WILL
GUIDE YOU SAFELY ALL THE WAY
HOME." WHAT A SAVIOR WE HAVE!

THE ASSURANCE THAT AT LAST
THEY HAVE A SPECIAL HOME AND
JESUS CHRIST IS THERE WITH
THEM. WHAT A MARVELOUS HOPE
THAT IS. AND WE CAN HAVE
THE ASSURANCE THAT WHEN WE DIE
WE WILL INDEED BE
WITH CHRIST.

CALLED PURGATORY THAT

A COMMITMENT THAT YOU LIVE
A LIFE THAT'S ABSOLUTELY
PERFECT OR CLOSE TO IT;
YOU HAVE TO EXAMINE YOUR WORKS
TO SEE IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY
IN THE FAITH. TALK ABOUT
THE ERROR IN BOTH OF THOSE.

ABLE TO SAY THIS, JOHN, THAT
THE DOCTRINE OF PURGATORY
IS NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE.
THE REASON THAT IT AROSE

THERE WAS THE BELIEF IN
THE CHURCH THAT WE ARE SAVED
THROUGH THE SACRAMENTS

SO PEOPLE BELIEVED THAT THERE

TOO GOOD TO GO TO HELL,
BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO
TO HEAVEN. SO AS A RESULT OF
THAT THEY FELT THAT YOU HAD
TO SUFFER AND BE PURGED IN
PURGATORY, IN THE FIRES OF
PURGATORY, AND THEN AFTER
THAT PURGING YOU WOULD FINALLY
BE GOOD ENOUGH TO GO TO
HEAVEN. WELL, THE GOOD NEWS
IS THIS, THAT WHEN WE TRUST
JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR,
HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS CREDITED
TO US. AND THERE IS
NO PURGATORY; WE GO DIRECTLY
FROM THIS LIFE TO THE NEXT.
PURGATORY DOES NOT EXIST.
SO THERE IS NO THIRD
CLASSIFICATION, HEAVEN, HELL,
PURGATORY. NOW, REGARDING
THE MATTER OF ASSURANCE
WHICH IS SO CRITICAL.
YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WHEN I FLY
I FLY STANDBY.
THAT MEANS I DON'T HAVE
A TICKET. I DON'T HAVE
A PLACE ON THE PLANE,
BUT I'M HOPING THAT THERE
WILL BE AN EMPTY SEAT SO THAT
I CAN FLY. MOST OF THE TIMES
I HAVE A TICKET.
AND WHEN YOU HAVE A TICKET
YOU AREN'T NERVOUS BECAUSE
YOU KNOW THERE'S A PLACE ON
THE PLANE FOR ME. NOW HERE'S
THE GOOD NEWS: WHEN PEOPLE
RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS
THEIR SAVIOR THAT IS THEIR
TICKET. THERE IS A PLACE
RESERVED IN HEAVEN JUST
FOR YOU. IMAGINE THAT.
AND THE WAY IN WHICH WE HAVE
ASSURANCE IS THIS, THAT IF WE
BELIEVE THAT WHEN JESUS DIED
ON THE CROSS HE DID ALL THAT
EVER WILL BE NECESSARY FOR US
TO BE FORGIVEN AND TO BELONG
TO GOD FOREVER, AND WE RECEIVE
THAT AS OUR OWN, THEN WE NOT
ONLY ARE SAVED, BUT WE KNOW
IT. AND THE BASIS OF
OUR ASSURANCE IS NOT ON
OUR PERFORMANCE, WHICH IS
SO FLAWED. THE BASIS IS
THE PROMISES OF JESUS THAT
"HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME HAS
ETERNAL LIFE." IT'S ALL ABOUT
BELIEVING IN CHRIST AND NOT
IN OURSELVES. AND EVEN OVER
OUR SINS WHICH WE OFTEN
STRUGGLE WITH, IMPORTANT
THOUGH THAT IS, THE REAL ISSUE
IS WHETHER OR NOT WE'VE
TRUSTED CHRIST. HE'S THE ONE
WHO BRINGS US ALL THE WAY
TO THE FATHER.

and instead of hoping I'm right and then biting the bullet
I'll open my mind and live life to the fullest

but please can you see this a heathen at large and I'm feeling it's hard to believe in a God
but I reap the rewards because I'm free and I thought that if he was in charge of the holy planet
a controlling freak and he's dangling a mouldy carrot, that I don't want to eat
presented in front of my face and you know that I may decline
Because heavens not another place you go, it's a state of mind
