120 Warren Road is ready for you! Fort McMurray Melanie Galea RE/MAX LaBiche - Duration: 11:22.
Hello it's Melanie Galea from Remax La Biche Realty operating full-time here in
Fort McMurray. We are at 120 Warren Road and we've been
watching this property for a couple months now as the rebuild has been
finishing. They are like 99% done this house. It's clean, it's got mirrors up now
it's got beautiful granite and hardwood throughout. If you've been following the
journey along, we picked out, myself an Eddie Bruce, picked out a lot of the
coloring and with some help from Shar from Stan's Carpet One right here in
Fort McMurray and Nebraska Holmes is the Builder here. And it is waiting for its
new owner. So why don't we go on in? We'll have a look around. It's a bi-level, three
bedrooms up, three bedrooms down, three full bathrooms -
wait till you come on in. Come on in we'll have a look around. They're still working on
rebuild all around the area here. I'm just gonna take my time cuz it's still a
little bit of a construction zone here. and but let's have a look.
Love the colors got to
pick up the colors here so I'm super excited about that.
Okay we're going in.
So again 120 Warren Road in Wood Buffalo. This is one
of the many houses that's being rebuilt here and and it's 99% done. So let's
start with the entrance way here. It's modern colours. Bigger hardwood - I love
the color of this. I like the fresh clean look here with the spindles, the wrought
iron railing spindles the square cuts - really really like this
here. So this is all hardwood here. Going up the stairs
and we have another day with lots
of beautiful bright sunshine in it. So here's the living space. So they made a
couple modifications from before the house because before there used to be a
wall separating right here where the breakfast bar is, separating the kitchen
and the living space and this is such a great one of the best updates that they
did to this floor plan. It really truly is the only update that they made to it
because it was such a good floor plan to begin with. Look at this.
Looks so good.
So, if something isn't finished, we'll make sure that it all gets done by the builder. It's
just love the color. I love the wide planks. The other thing
that I like about oak is that I think for our climate it's a little bit more durable,
so good for the kids, good for the dog or the cat or the husband, maybe the wife
but anyways here very very durable product and that looks really fantastic.
So you've got a lighter color here on the countertops.
You can see that sparkle in there and that looks so good. And then you've got winter as the color in these
cabinets and I think that it matches so well.
And then we didn't want to take away from you know how and have too much busyness
because the countertops certainly have you know an awesome beautiful power to
them and a backsplash just pulls it some of that colors there and matches
perfectly with the with the cabinets here.
So there is gonna be a gas stove
which is great because a lot of people like that and then you've got your
dining space here with a deck in the back.
Check out these. Lots of good
cupboard space, lots and lots pantry space.
So let's check out the rest of the house and go on up here.
Okay so three full bedrooms. You know one
of the things I like, I like that the carpet is is the pattern here you can
tell that it's all fully cleaned- carpet lines for those OCD people and closet
organizer too. I think this looks really good.
So for those that like three
bedrooms upstairs we've got that. Okay another good sized bedroom here.
I just love the doors. Like it's simple, really simple cut lines.
Mirrors are in.
Check it out. Tile up all the way
to the ceiling I love this and even just a little thing here. You know I tend to
call this a people problem because if people - I like that the tile is all the
way to the floor like that. Lots of times we might not be closing the
shower curtain to the best of our abilities or little people might miss it
so that's gonna decrease the likelihood of any little mishaps that might happen
that causes a little bit of water problems around the bathroom. So yeah really
really like these big subway tiles. Again, they match perfectly with the cabinets.
And you're gonna find this throughout the entire house of course.
Okay, we're gonna come into the master bedroom.
Really good size you will easily
get your king-size bed. You know there's one or two places you could put
it; you could either put it by the window okay or they've they've set it up so
that you can put it here by length ways. So it's nice to have options in
that regard. To check out the place so all right let's show you a little more here.
So you got your walk-in closet.
Other things that are gonna be included in the house are gonna be air
conditioning and a garage. This is your ensuite. So again this entire
flow goes through the entire house.
Look at that. I love that. I love that.
Great big tile- this is the same tile that's the same size in the entryway. It's just covered
up right now to protect it from people coming in and out of the house. Since we are anyways.
So the house is essentially ready to go, waiting for its new owner.
It's gonna have a new home warranty as well and like I said, come the spring,
obviously they can't put it down right now, but the landscaping is going to be
included, too. But that's a seasonal def - what we would call a seasonal
deficiency so they can't do anything about that until until the spring.
So we're going downstairs now.
I love the size of this bedroom. Nice big window there.
Really great size. So then you've got three more bedrooms downstairs.
So let's do the front of the house next.
It's such a beautiful beautiful bright day today.
See nice big closet again.
Now maybe you stick the kids downstairs and you keep a
room for guests upstairs. Here's another thing that I kind of like is that you've got
some extra storage down to underneath the stairs - really really good use of
space and geeze all the way around underneath the stairs.
This is a great thing; you could be at your desk here and I will be your tour guide of the latest
and greatest listings out there that I do have. So if you have any questions,
please feel free to type them in and I'll get them answered for you. The
house is priced at $680,000 and um this window will be fixed and it's such a great
rebuild.
And so it's been super fun like I said to be able to be part of the
rebuild in the house here.
So a couple other features here in the house so
they've got hot water on demand which is certainly a nice feature. You know
you've always got your hot water. Okay and then this is gonna be your laundry
room as well. And this is one organized panel - I like that everything that's
marked although that is to code to be able to do those things.
So alright let's
check out the rest of the house.
Two more rooms to talk about. So your basement
bathroom again that the course is throughout the entire house. I just love it the
mirrors are up now. Big subway tiles and again that beautiful big tile. It just
everything just flows so so well and matches perfectly like even the carpet
does - so this is the other bedroom in the basement and it's huge.
It's as big as the master bedroom upstairs so it's a really really good
size and you don't with these great big windows you don't feel like you're in a
basement. You know that's one of the nice things some of the features about living
in Wood Buffalo are is that there's you know there's a majority of the
houses here they're all single-family houses here and in a majority of this
area. There's not even any duplexes in this area; there's no mobile homes. There
is one apartment complex but that's a rental and then there's a couple of
townhouse complexes here. So the people that live in this area are definitely
the ones that that spend the most amount of time in the suburban area. It's
certainly really nice to be close to some of the trails and of course my
favorite place in Fort McMurray, the Fort McMurray Golf Course which is also being
currently being rebuilt. So fantastic fantastic area. The other great thing, not
for this time of year, but in the summertime, there's a water park for the kids. It's
so close by; it's packed in the summer. Obviously, it's a great way to spend some
time with the kids and there's always like I said there's lots of trails here
so it's a great great area to live. So the appliances are going to be included
in the sale of the home. They're just not installed and ordered yet. But like I
said if you have any questions about this house or any other houses in the
real estate market here in Fort McMurray, feel free to ask me. I'm more than happy
to get those answers to you and and if you want to flip over to the discover
Fort McMurray channel in about an hour, we're gonna be filming another local
business. So that's what I do on Wednesdays. I film film film. Wednesday is
movies day. So you can sit home and relax or be at work and and sneak a quick
little watch of a listing that might be the home for you. So if you could please
please share this video you never know who's looking for this exact home or
maybe they're your neighbor and you want them to live close by. Anyways my name is

The Science of Happiness - Learn Through Images (Episode 1) - Duration: 4:15.
Welcome and thank you for clicking on this video. In this episode we are going
to talk about the science of happiness Learn Through Images is brought to you
by Commix and More. In our first episode we are talking about happiness. Happiness
starts with our brain, specifically the hippocampus, the area the human brain
responsible for happiness and positive memories. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter
synthesized from the amino acid Tryptophan which is commonly found in Turkey.
Serotonin helps regulate learning, mood, sleep, sexuality and appetite. 20 minutes a
day outside in a good weather boosts positive mood, broadens thinking and
improves working memory. Married people are 10% happier than unmarried people.
Clergymen, actors, architects, and firefighters are among the happiest occupations.
However around the world, consumerism is the biggest suppressant of happiness.
Happiness is maximized at thirteen point nine degrees Celsius or 57 degrees
Fahrenheit. Healthy people are 20% happier than average. On the contrary
having a child reduces happiness by 0.24% on average. Exercise releases
proteins and endorphins that make the brain feel happier. Look at the picture of
when you are sitting and when you are walking for 20 minutes. Walking involves
more parts of your brain. Dopamine is another neurotransmitter which helps
regulate the brain's reward and pleasure centers, movement and emotional responses.
Dopamine is synthesized from Tyrosine found in poultry, fish, milk and bananas.
You should get some sleep for you to be happy. Sleep deprived people has a harder
time remembering positive ideas and an easier time remembering
negative ideas. In a study of sleep-deprived college students 81% of
them recalled negative words and 31% recalled positive words. The happiest kids in
the world are found in Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Germany and America. Having close
friends and family is the most important source of a kid's happiness.
The two biggest factors that contribute to happiness around the world is a sense
of community and frequent community celebrations. 43% to attend the church
service weekly, 31% who attended a service monthly and
26% who never attended church say they are very happy. According to Maslow's
hierarchy of needs. The ingredients for happiness are the following: level one
basic biological needs, level two the need for security, level three
relationships, level four respect and level five life purpose. People in the
highest income bracket are only about 3.5% happier than the average. Since it's
Christmas time, 34 percent of men and 44 percent of women get the holiday blues.
But more than 80 percent say that Christmas is about spending time with family and
friends. These facts are brought to you by Webpage FX. I hope you learn
something today and I hope you like your first ever episode of Learning Through
Images. If you like this video give us thumbs up. If you have questions or
clarifications or testaments to show us please leave it in the comments down
below. And please do subscribe to our channel Commix and More so that you will

Violent BLM Is Back For Christmas With A Nasty Surprise For Trump They've Been Plotting
For Months.
Because Black Lives Matters hate everything thatAmerica stands for they are now preparing
a nasty surprise for Trump as he celebrates this awesome economy that we haven't seen
in decades.
Since President Trump is the epitome of everything that is America and our capitalistic society,
the terrorist group that is Black Lives Matters has taken it upon themselves to boycott everything
that is "White."
And why you might ask, because of so-called "Racism."
Can anyone imagine the backlash from the liberal loons in the Left Wing Mainstream Media if
a white group called for a boycott of everything that is black?
The cries of racism would be never-ending.
FacebookTwitter Because Black Lives Matters hate everything

And why you might ask, because of so-called "Racism."
Can anyone imagine the backlash from the liberal loons in the Left Wing Mainstream Media if
a white group called for a boycott of everything that is black?
The cries of racism would be never-ending.
Via The Daily Wire: Black Lives Matter Organizes 'Black Xmas'
To Divest From 'White Corporations' And 'White Capitalism'
Dr. Melina Abdullah, a professor at California State University-Los Angeles (CSU-LA,) who
is also a national Black Lives Matter (BLM) leader, is urging allies to support the movement's
"Black Xmas" this holiday season by divesting from "white corporations."
She claims "white capitalism" is an American institution that is inherently racist, therefore
black people should pursue more collectivist approaches to economic empowerment.
"We say 'white capitalism' because it's important that we understand that the economic
system and the racial structures are connected," said Abdullah, a founding member of BLM who
leads its Los Angeles chapter (BLM-LA).
"We have to not only disrupt the systems of policing that literally kill our people,
but we have to disrupt the white supremacist, capitalistic, patriarchal, heteronormative
system that is really the root cause of these police killings."
Abdullah, who descends from a family of Marxist organizers, made the comments on her weekly
KPFK radio show called "Beautiful Struggle," which features songs like "5 Million Ways
to Kill a CEO" as bumper music.
She was joined by Dr. Anthony Ratcliff, also a professor at CSU-LA, who organized BLM's
first youth activist camp last summer.
"Black Lives Matter and other organizations build a strong critique and understanding
of racism and white supremacy and sexism and homophobia, transphobia, but we have to have
as much hatred or vitriol against capitalism," Ratcliff said.
"Until we start to see capitalism just as nefarious as white supremacy, we will always
be struggling."
BLM launched a Black Xmas website on Saturday which calls for "no spending with White
corporations" through New Year's Day, encouraging supporters to donate to allied,
black-led community groups or black-owned businesses instead.
The website goes on to state: "Donald Trump embodies White capitalism.
If you are anti-Trump, you should hold back your resources from him and the like."
"We are socialized to believe that the answer to white oppression is black capitalism,"
said Abdullah.
"We don't need any black millionaires and multi-millionaires, and we don't need
a black Walmart.
That doesn't free us."
In Los Angeles, BLM activists are organizing around historical, communal economic models
that were implemented by free black people during the era of slavery.
On the radio show, Ratcliff and Abdullah spoke of building black mutual aid societies and
black co-ops as alternatives to the existing capitalist structure that requires dismantling.
"In order to get free as a collective, we have to think collectively," said Abdullah.
"It's not enough for one person to draw profit because that also drains community.
It needs to be structured around this idea of collective uplift."
BLM has promoted Black Xmas every year since its founding, however many people remain unaware
of its anti-capitalist motivations.
As Dr. Abdullah wrote in the Los Angeles Sentinel: This call is fundamentally tied to Black Lives
Matter's mission to end state-sanctioned violence against Black people.
We know that state-sanctioned violence is rooted in White-supremacist capitalism.
Since its inception in 2013, Black Lives Matter has recognized the killing of Black people
at the hands of the police as not simply a question of a few rogue officers, but a part
of a system that is built on the backs of Black people.
…we live under a system of White-supremacist capitalism that exploits Black people as workers
and consumers and relies on the police state to secure and maintain its dominance."
Previous Black Xmas demonstrations in Minneapolis, San Francisco, and L.A. resulted in activists
blocking traffic near major airports during peak times of the holiday rush, inconveniencing
many travelers.
Last year, BLM-LA disrupted Christmas Eve brunch at the Trump National Golf Club in
Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
According to LAist, protesters "entered the dining hall and began singing 'Protest
Carols,' or classic Christmas carols re-worded with mainly anti-Trump lyrics, to the patrons."
Sadly now that the malcontents have moved on from trashing Thanksgiving as a racist
holiday against Native Americans they have now gone to the war with Christmas and since
there are only 27 shopping days left to spoil the season for others they just can't seem
to be able to help themselves.
The Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter (Of course it had to come from California)
is doing their part to actively promote "Black Xmas" as a protest against President Trump.
While falsely representing the effort to bolster African-American businesses, the message via
the group's website makes it abundantly clear this is just another temper tantrum
because Donald Trump is the President.
This has to be one of the sickest displays of racism I have ever witnessed being done
here in America.
In their hate for President Trump thee people seem to forget that the so-called "Racist
Americans" didn't go to Africa to pick them up and make them slaves.
Their own people sold them off to Muslim traders who in turn sold the slaves to Americans so
they could work the fields.
But even if this fact offends you there is one awesome fact about America.
Our doors are wide open and you can go back to Africa whenever you like.
Or do you prefer our "Benefits" more?

2017 Employee Survey: What we heard from you - Duration: 1:50.
Hello, I've just been looking over the results of our 2017 Employee Survey.
There's a lot of great data in here that we can begin acting on – so thank you for
participating.
More than 8,300 employees had their say on how we're doing as an organization – that's
up more than 400 from last year.
The results show that the King County employee survey and the follow-up action plans are
making a difference – making a difference for you and the people we serve.
More than three-quarters of you said you would recommend King County as a great place to
work, an area that our Investing in You strategy has been focusing on.
We're also making progress in applying Equity and Social Justice to our work, and being
more respectful of one another.
And at the County leadership level, we're doing a better job of communicating our vision,
mission and goals, although we still have a lot of work to do.
And lastly, your commitment to public service once again stands out in the results, with
94% of you saying you will put in extra effort to get the job done – something I really
appreciate.
Next up, workgroups, managers and leaders from across the County will review the results
and begin work on their actions plans for 2018.
I encourage you to review the results for yourself, and see what stands out for you.
What's the one thing you most want your team to focus on in 2018?
Thank you again for participating in this year's survey, and thank you for the work
you do every day for the people of King County.
