Well yes, that's right
Most of the interviewers are not gonna read
your resume thoroughly, rather they just
scan it. Well yes, have you ever wondered
the snapshot what they take by just
taking a look in your resume?
What impression you create at very
beginning of the interview? No, you
didn't. and that's the reason you make a
lot of silly mistakes while writing your
resume or CV. So let me help you out here
with the three major mistakes which you
have been making so far while writing
your resume and which actually ruins
your great, first, virtual impression. Well,
mistake number one what you do - you did
not read thoroughly the objective what
you have mentioned in your resume or CV.
Do you? No you don't. And that's the
reason you have same objective which you
use for all the jobs you apply. It
doesn't matter core competencies, what
core competencies you're applying for;
doesn't matter even if you're changing
the industry. Well, that is not just silly
mistakes but that tells enough about you
being serious for the job. Let me tell
you a funny story. Well, I have been taking
a job, I mean interviews of the people
here at Pep Talk India for last five
six years, and the funny part is many
times I see people who apply for English
language expert or English language
trainer they have the objective written
that they wish to be the power of human
resource department they want to reach
at the helm of the human resource
department. Funny, isn't that? I mean,
you're applying for English
communicator's job and you don't change
the objective in your resume your CV, and
that tells enough of the story. So, in
short, that creates real
really bad impression in the eyes of
interviewer, so don't do that.
Change your objective in the resume
every single time you go for a different
job as per the job description you read
as per the requirement in the company as
well. So change your objective, I mean in
a resume, every single time if you see
it's supposed to be changed as per the
job need. Okay, so in my career so far,
I've done this this this this this, so yeah I can be helpful....
did you get something out of it? Nothing
That's how your resume sounds. Yes
that's right. You write I was responsible.
for this I was responsible for that; I
was handling this, I was handling that...
that does not tell that you accomplished
something all right. So write your
accomplishment, don't write what you were
responsible for. That gives a clear
picture to the interviewer that, well, you
did contribute to the company's, you know,
profile something. You did, you know,
contribute something for the growth of
the organization in the previous, you know,
company. So, if you did there, you will be
of real help here as well, instead of
yes I was given a job, so I did and
that's what you state in your resume or
CV. Don't do that.
That's a blunder. Well, mistake number
third - you don't update your contact
information. Yeah, I know it's funny. It
sounds funny but it's true. I read a story
somewhere which says that a guy was
complaining, you know, over and again to
his colleagues that you
know what, my career graph is really good
I have done really good job in the
previous two companies as well, and here
as well.
Yet, I don't get, you know,
every single time I go for interview I
don't get a return call. And then the
funny part of the story is, later on it
you know, comes out, the story ends up
like his contact information was wrong. I
mean, his first number was written in his
resume or CV, or he did not
update that. Yes, that's blunder.
Some people are that stupid. So, not
updating you contact information
sometime don't fetch you call-back. Right?
It sounds silly but it's actually true.
So these were the three different
mistakes you make while writing your CV
or a resume. Let me tell you something
really great. Here, we here at Pep Talk

Finding Ideas For Blog Articles With Ease | SEO | Content Marketing - Duration: 4:33.
You're looking for new ways to market your business and you've heard that
content is king. But do you keep running out of ideas for new content?
Hi, I'm Oliver from Mechanised and today I'm going to show you how to generate blog
article ideas with ease. If you're looking to attract new visitors to your
website creating high quality content is the perfect opportunity to show people
you know what you're talking about and to target those long tail keywords.
Although this sounds like a good idea thinking of new blog articles can be a
struggle. Most small businesses aim to produce between 1 and 10 articles per
month. These can be used on your website, on social media channels, email
newsletters and video scripts. When publishing content on a regular basis it's
very easy to burn through your ideas. So today I'm gonna show you 5 ways to
generate blog article ideas with ease.
So what makes a good blog article?
Blog articles usually follow these rules. They answer a common question, such as "Will SEO
help my business?" or "Should I add a blog to my website?" They focus on buyers
intent, so for example if a customer is looking for a new leather sofa, creating
a leather sofa buying guide would be a really good idea. Or it's about a hot
industry topic. So recently, Instagram just launched a new name tag feature and
we created an article and how to use it and within a couple of hours it was ranking number 3 in Google.
So the first way to generate blog ideas is to
use Google Auto Suggest. Simply start typing in your search term into the
Google search bar and then Google will automatically suggest some questions
that people have been asking. Once you have clicked on the query you want to
see if you scroll to the bottom of the page there'll be another list of
suggestions they're ready for you to use.
Number two is using Answer The Public. Now don't be put off by the old guy on the website because answer the public is
like a supercharged version of Google's Auto Suggest. The data comes from Google
and Bing and you'll get great insight into the motivations of the people
searching for that particular keyword. To get started enter your keyword and hit
"get questions".
The results will then come back separated into; questions, prepositions, comparisons,
alphabeticals and related. Because the data is based on Google and Bing auto
suggest, you can guarantee that people are searching for these questions and
this will generate a couple of months worth of blog article ideas.
Number three is hot industry trends. Sometimes you don't need to know the
search volume or if people are searching for answers, because it's new. You know
your industry better than your customers. So if a new car has been spied or a new
product has been released, make sure you are the first to write about it.
I mentioned at the start of the video that were created an article about the new
Instagram name tags feature and it was ranking within a few hours. We've also
done the same for articles on the new Facebook page templates and the short
tail verses long tail keywords and these articles generate daily traffic to our
website. Striking whilst the iron is hot will show your audience that you keep up
to date in the latest industry trends and it will increase their trust in you.
Number four, the HubSpot Blog Generator. Now used in the HubSpot Blog Generator
is a very easy way to get blog article ideas simple enter three nouns they'll
give you five ideas to write about. These results are not based on auto suggest
data and when you do enter different nouns you do get quite similar titles
but it'll get you thinking and they'll be great for social media.
Number five, the Moz Keyword Explorer. So let's take things up a notch. If you want to create
content as part of an SEO strategy then the Moz Keyword Explorer will allow you
to dig a little bit deeper. Simply enter your keyword or topic and the Moz
Keyword Explorer will return the monthly search volume, keyword suggestions and
SERP analysis. What we're interested in is the keyword suggestions. You can
filter the results by "are questions" and this will give you a list of the
questions people typing in Google, along with the monthly search volume. If there
isn't a search volume associated with the question then don't worry, it just
means that the data isn't in the Moz database but it doesn't mean that people
are actively searching for it.
So there we have it, five easy ways to generate blog article ideas.
So get creating that content!
