this video I'm gonna be sharing with you the truth on desire with the law of

attraction and something that a lot of people don't talk about in the law of

attraction community this is something that I think will change the way you see

the process and also help you to resonate more with what you want to

experience in a completely new way welcome back to another video my name is

Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness now in this video I'm

gonna be sharing with you the truth on understanding desire in the law of

attraction process and a new way for looking at it so that you really start

to create what you want from a place of resonance now the reason I say resonance

is because when you look at the law of attraction in general a underlying

consensus of the law of attraction is that desire is one of the keys to

success now at a certain level desire gets the energy moving so when you hear

people like Tony Robbins talk about how you have to be hungry it will move

energy and even the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill where he talks

about having the white-hot burning desire now these are certain ways for

going about the process and they will still get you results but that's if

certain things come into play and many times it creates blocks that then people

have to jump over and sometimes those blocks can make it so that it takes a

lot longer than it has to so basically what I'm saying is there's a better way

of going about it that comes from a higher level of

consciousness a higher vibrational state of being to where things happen in a

much easier way last night I was reading a book before I went to bed and that

book was talking about the Tao Tao Tao teaching and I was talking about how

that means the way the balanced it's this certain way that we're going and it

talks about how there were these two extremes anything that

on either side of the extreme drains us of energy so sometimes if we have a

strong desire for something we may actually be draining our energy if we

become identified with it and if we base our internal state of being on whether

that thing happens or not you see this a lot and I see this a lot because I'm in

this community I make videos on YouTube about this and I get people that ask me

all the time how do I try to person into my life I really want to attract this

how do I go about it and I can tell many times that people feel drained of their

energy because they're putting so much into what they want to create in their

life however what I'm learning is there's actually the better way that I'm

talking about and it has to do with more of something that has with an

observation point of view it comes not so much from what you want but why you

want what you want what is the why underneath you why would you want what

you want well it's most likely because whatever you want you want the emotion

that it brings you you want the feeling that that thing will give you and the

key is tapping into the feeling knowing that you can generate the feeling of

whatever you want simply by deciding to do so now what does that mean well what

it means is a lot of times what we do what I do and what I used to do a lot

I'm getting better at it is I used to always say that when something happened

in the future then I'd be happy but that's deceiving because then when the

future gets here I've already been conditioned to not be happy with certain

things and then the mind always jumps in and it ups the ante so whether this is

something like achieving goals when it comes to a certain dollar amount you may

get to that dollar amount that you make per month or per year or whatever it is

and go hmm this is just normal for me this doesn't feel as I thought it would

so I'm gonna up the ante even more maybe even a 15% more on top of that then I'll

feel better but it's just an if-then thing in the mind if this happens then

I'll feel better and that's a rule that we place on ourselves and if that rule

comes to fruition or if we abide by that rule

then we'll feel good if we accomplish it but the key is to understand that we can

feel the emotion that we want right now and by doing so we then resonate more

with the reality that we want quicker than ever so when it comes to desire I

would say that normally what happens with people when they have a strong

desire is they remain in one of the first levels of law of attraction and

that is the being here wanting to be here desiring for being over here and

feeling unconsciously that you don't already have that what you want think

about it in terms of resonance if you are here saying I want that over there

you're also saying I really really want that you're also saying I really really

don't currently have that and the key and the secret to this whole process is

knowing that that over there whatever emotion that over there will bring you

you can feel that satisfaction that happiness that gratitude right now in

the present moment and by feeling that emotion now in the present moment you

will eventually get there but the key is to not need that thing in order to feel

happy because if you need it then you're also saying that you haven't changed you

see we always get a reflection in our life of what we believe to be true and

we always get a reflection or life of who we are being and if and as we know

if we look at a mirror we can't expect the reflection of change before we

change we must change first and the same way sometimes what we do is we're like

hey I've changed but then we're peaking to see if the reflection changes and

we're waiting for the reflection to change before will actually change but

we're like hey I think I'm changing and we'll look at the mirror and it hasn't

changed yet so the key is to regardless of what the mirror reflection is doing

to change anyways because there's the thing there's a gap in between what we

perceive on the mirror we have time-space reality that we live in and

of course I'm at a certain level is an illusion

but there's a certain momentum that we have built up from prior experience and

that momentum continues to play itself out sometimes you'll be looking at the

mirror you'll be getting the old reflection saying I know I've changed

but if you're not actually changed on the inside because you're waiting for

that to change then the change hasn't happened yet now it's a paradox because

when you don't base your internal state of being on what is externally happening

when you don't base it on that that's when everything will change and

paradoxically enough things will happen even easier but you have to learn to

generate the emotion from within because when you generate the emotion from win

within that's when you actually resonate with what you want to experience now

there's another process that I teach that's called reality Tran surfing

there's a book called reality Tran surfing written by a quantum physicist

named Vadim Zealand in Russia it's becoming more well-known because I'm

making a lot of videos about it as well so a lot of people are starting to learn

a lot more about reality Tran surfing and one of the part one of the things in

there has to do with understanding this balance of desire importance and

intention so normally what we do is if we say I really really want that like I

said we're saying I really really don't have that but what we also may doing is

be putting things on a pedestal saying this is very important I really hope

this happens I really hope this interaction with this person I have a

crush on goes really well I really hope it does and if we put them on a pedestal

we then create this resistance we create this potential for resistance everything

in life has a certain level of what could be called the yin yin yang if you

look at certain traditions there's this balance this polarity and any time we

push it to one side there's an either side that comes in to balance it so if

we're draining ourself of energy because we really desire something there's this

pull to come back to the middle and in order to come back to the middle

time's that thing gets taken away from us because that's what in reality Tran

surfing is called this balance of coordination anytime we put something on

a pedestal balancing forces come into play because there's something called

excess potential balancing forces metaphorically speaking come into play

to balance that out so how does it balance it out we'll sometimes we just

won't get that which we want because we're also saying in the present moment

I don't currently have that which I want because I really really want it which

means I really really don't currently have it and because we're saying that

what happens is we must get to the middle way there's a very strong

correlation between the Tao Te Ching and that of reality transfer Feeny I was

realized in this last night when I was looking at the principles because it's

about this middle way this middle balance of going about things now here's

the thing and reality Tran serving desire isn't powerful desire is only

powerful if it is translated into intention now what's the difference

between intention and desire now desire is an energetic thing that can sometimes

move energy however it many times causes blocks but it's an emotion it is a

feeling that we have that then allows us to focus now intention the difference

between desire and intention is intention is something that we actualize

it's something that we move energy towards that we take action with or

something that we move energy with whereas desire is simply in a moat it's

a thought it is something that we think about but in the same way this is the

analogy they use in the reality Tran surfing book as I'm here right now if I

have a desire to put up my hand that desire is not powerful unless I

translate that desire into intention intention is the realization of that

desire so sometimes desire will to that intention designer will get us

to take action desire will get us to feel a certain emotion or to desire and

focus in a certain way but if we move our hand like this that's because we had

the intention to do so we have realized that desire so the key to this whole

process is understanding the movement from something that may be a desire into

that of intention now when it comes to the process of desire and the law of

attraction let's understand another aspect of getting results with what we

want with the law of attraction it's something that I really believe is the

most underrated one of the most underrated things when it comes to this

process and that is focus focus anything we focus on grows and in order

to become successful it requires quite a bit of focus but a lot of people will

focus for a little bit on something then move away from it therefore it just

grows a little bit think of it like you're watering something but you're

watering something that is able to continue to take in water so you're not

over watering it sometimes people might work a little bit too hard to create the

resistance but in general the more you water it the more it grows but some

people they'll just trickle a little bit of water on it and then run away and

then come back three weeks later and be like see you didn't work law of

attraction doesn't work I wanted to go full-time with my passion but just

didn't work well it doesn't work if you just trick the water on it every three

weeks now the more that you focus on anything the more it grows the reason

that Steve Jobs Warren Buffett a lot of success people have said that you have

to do what you're passionate about is because whatever you're passionate about

it is so easy for you to focus and that focus will then grow and then even when

it appears to be hard you'll still focus through it that's the key is focus

because in the process with desire and the law of attraction many people will

have a certain focus for a period of time but then shift the focus when a

little bit of distance comes up the key is to redefine

that resistance and to know that it's part of the process and that the more

you allow things to happen the easier things will be for you so when it comes

to desire and the law of attraction understand that desire is only powerful

if it's translated into intention which means that into the realization into the

energy movement of it and to being able to actualize that which you are desiring

and you can even just think to yourself right now

I intend dot dot dot what do you intend for in your life

I said intentions throughout my whole day when I'm going when I get up in the

morning I said in an intention that I have a great meditation in my meditation

I pre plan out my whole day and I set intentions for certain segments of my

day so I set intentions to have a great time

filming videos set intentions to enjoy editing the videos to getting work done

on my business I set intentions to enjoy going to the gym to getting things done

the rest of the day whatever I need to do or spending time with family or

whatever it is I set those intentions because then that

equals and that influences the rest of my day and I find it to be very powerful

but the key is to set those intentions because the intentions are going to help

you realize whatever your desires are so desires can be okay as long as it's

moved in a certain direction many people stay in phase one of manifestation which

is just the thought of it this isn't about thinking this is about

being this is about encompassing the whole dynamic how you think how you feel

and what you do all three of those make up who you are and we get a reflection

of who we are so the key is to know why we want what we want and then to break

that down into an emotion so for example if we want more money we could say how

do we how do we attract what we want and have desire for it without emphasizing

that what we want isn't already here the key to this

is understanding this is more about resonance and the key to this is

understanding whatever you want brings you a certain emotion so choose to feel

that emotion right now because you can choose the meaning you give to things in

your life and when you choose to feel whatever emotion that is so if it's

money for example money brings you what most people for me it brings freedom

freedom to do what what I want what I want to do it for some people it brings

security the feeling of feeling secure and safe for some people when it comes

to relationship that represents to them connection compassion love you can feel

that right now by focusing on things in your life that are already there that

allow you to feel that emotion and by doing that you will attract what you

want quicker than ever because you are more so resonating with that so this is

about understanding that you can choose and give yourself permission right now

to release what you want the serotonin the dopamine with your focus whatever

you focus on you feel start to focus on things you already have that have the

vibrational basis of what you want to experience and you will then be

translating that desire into intention make the choice that you're going to set

more intentions in your life you'll start to move the energy in a very

powerful way and understand that this goes beyond that of just what you think

this is about who you are and when you begin to see it from this point of view

things will happen easier than ever what I also encourage you to do is to go down

the middle way what they call the Tao the way go down and don't give it excess

importance excess meaning see it as a natural part of who you are see it as

something that doesn't have to drain your energy because you're going down

the middle way you're not really really really wanting it really really

literally thinking you don't have it you are just going through the process

observing your thoughts more than anything else and you'll find that

things happen easier than ever you have the power to do it you have the power to

move the energy with your focus and I'm confident that if you do you'll

experience more of what you want your life in a much faster way so

with this process something else I'm going to be doing is I'm going to be

doing more live Q&A s on Instagram so if you haven't followed me on Instagram

already go ahead and follow me I'll be doing live Q&A is there I also post

daily content there as well so if you want some additional content you'll see

that too and other than that I hope you enjoyed

He Did not Want To Accept The Reward. The Reason. MY GOODNESS! - Duration: 1:57.

A rich Florida man decided that he wanted to throw a party and invited all of his buddies

and neighbors.

He also invited Leroy, the only Redneck in the neighborhood.

He held the party around the pool in the backyard of his mansion.

Leroy was having a good time drinking, dancing, eating shrimp, oysters and BBQ and flirting

with all the women. At the height of the party, the host said, 'I have a 10 foot man-eating

gator in my pool and I will give a million dollars to anyone who has the nerve to jump

in..

The words were barely out of his mouth when there was a loud splash..

Everyone turned around and saw Leroy in the pool!Leroy was fighting the gator and kicking

its ! Leroy was jabbing it in the eyes with his thumbs, throwing punches, head butts and

choke holds, biting the gator on the tail and it through the air like some kind of Judo

Instructor.

The water was churning and splashing everywhere.

Both Leroy and the gator were screaming and raising.

Finally, Leroy strangled the gator and let it float to the top like a dime store goldfish.

Leroy then slowly climbed out of the pool.

Everybody was just staring at him in disbelief. Finally the host says, 'Well, Leroy, I reckon I

owe you a million dollars."No, that's okay.

I do not want it,' said Leroy. The rich man said, 'Man, I have to give you something.

You won the bet..How about half a million bucks then?"No thanks, I do not want it,'

answered Leroy. The host said, 'Come on, I insist on giving you something.

That was amazing.

How about a new Porsche and a Rolex and some stock options?'Again Leroy said no.Confused,

the rich man asked, 'Well, Leroy, then what do you want?'Leroy said, 'I want the name

of the sumbitch who pushed me in the pool!'

Remove Junk Files to Cleanup Your Windows 10 Computer - Duration: 5:22.

Hello YouTube.

This is Praveen for TechEmpty.

Here in this video I will be showing you the process of removing cache or junk files to

clean your Windows 10 computer manually.

I suggest you to take the backup of any important files that are in temp folder like games related

files or games saved data.

So, without any further ado, let's get started.

Firstly, let's delete the Windows update data.

To do that, open C drive, then Windows, then Software Distribution and here choose Download.

We have around 1 gig of Windows update data and we don't need it.

If the system needs any file, it will be downloaded again.

So no issues.

Let me delete everything here in this downloads folder to remove junk files to cleanup the

Windows 10 computer.

So now the second one.

Let's delete the temporary & prefetch files.

To do that, open Run by right clicking on the Windows icon and here choose 'Run'.

In here type %temp% and choose ok.

Now you will see all the temporary files and delete them all by saving any of the work

that you are currently doing with any of the applications.

Again open Run by right clicking on the Windows icon and now just type temp.

This is the another location where the temp files are stored.

Just, delete them all to clean up the temp location.

Now we're going to delete the prefetch files.

To do that, open Run dialogue box by typing Windows + R keys together and type prefetch.

Select all the files and folders here then proceed to delete them.

This is how you remove junk files to cleanup your Windows 10 computer.

Now, the third one.

If you have any issues with the Windows store then just do this thing without changing account

settings or deleting installed apps.

By opening the Run dialogue box, type wsreset and hit ok.

Now you will see the command prompt with a blank screen.

You need to wait for few seconds to complete the reset process.

Once done, you will get the Windows store on the console.

Fourth one is clearing the browsing history of Microsoft edge and chrome as I have them.

You can try clearing the browsing history of all the browsers that you have.

So, now going with Edge browser, Open it and choose these three dots right here and choose

settings.

Now at the center, click on 'Choose what to clear' under 'clear browsing data'.

Tick what you want to delete and choose 'clear'.

Alternatively, you can opt to 'Always clear this when I close the browser' option if

you wish to clear browsing data regularly to remove junk files to cleanup your windows

10 computer.

If you are using Chrome browser, do these steps to delete the browsing history.

Open chrome and choose these three dots to expand the available options.

From the menu, choose 'More Tools' then 'Clear browsing data'.

You will get a window with basic options.

Navigate to 'Advanced' tab and choose the time range, what things you would like

to clear etc and click on 'clear data'.

That's it.

Fifth one is to clear the DNS cache.

If you have any internet connectivity issues you can run this command to flush the DNS

cache.

To do that, search for cmd and right click on it to run the command prompt as an administrator.

Now here type the following command.

ipconfig/flushdns and it will instantly clear the DNS cache for you.

Sixth one is to clean up the disk.

To do this search for Disk cleanup and open it.

Choose the disk you would like to clean up and here I'm choosing the C drive.

Now choose the files that you would like to clean up and select ok.

It will then clean up the junk files that are in C drive.

Seventh one is to free up the space using restore point.

To do that, search for restore point and then open it.

Once you have the system restore point window, choose the C drive and choose 'configure'

to look for the space that was occupied at restore point.

Now I have around 2 gigs here and you just need to delete it by choosing delete and press

ok.

Now create a new restore point and name it as you like.

I'm here naming it as restore and it will take less space now.

This is how you can remove cache or junk files to cleanup your Windows 10 computer manually

without using any software.

That's it for this quick video.

I hope you find this video useful.

If you do, please hit the like button and subscribe to this channel for more awesome

videos like these.

Your contribution is more to us.

This is Praveen signing off.

I hope to see you in my next video.

Thank you!

Getting to Know You - Duration: 1:18.

(teachers cheering)

Christine: Today is a really exciting day. We get to walk out and drive around the

neighborhood to get to meet all of the children in our class. It's a wonderful

bridge between home and school because later this afternoon they'll get to come to the

school for open house and our back-to-school picnic and it's a great way to

just see all the kids with their parents and their siblings and come together as

a Cub Run Community.

Parent: Mrs. Garant's a third-grade teacher? Wow!

Student: Yay!

(laughing and cheering)

Christine: Well my favorite part is

getting to see the kids and

their excitement on their face when they get to see their

teacher for the first time. Lots of pictures on front steps and hugs and

getting to see the parents it's just nice and exciting.

Christine to student: I'm going to be your teacher

this year!

Student: You're coming to third grade?

Christine: I am!

(laughter)

Christine: Isn't that exciting?

Christine: Cub Run's been doing this for

many years so one of the really nice things is that we get to continue

to build this community with the students and with the families here at

Cub Run and so it helps kind of keep that home and school relationship strong and

starts it off on a real positive note and lets the parents know that we're

here for them and we're here for their students and we're looking forward to

working together all year.

Christine: Hi Julia! I'm Mrs. Garant. I'm going to be your teacher this year.

Julia: Hi Mrs. Garant.

it's musicalitypodcast.com/celebrate

ever wondered why some people seem to have a gift for music have you ever

wished that you could play by ear sing in tune improvise and jam you're in the

right place time to turn those wishes into reality welcome to the musicality

podcast with your host Christopher Sutton in our recent episode with Todd

McCarty we talked a lot about getting your music out there and finding fans

and I know that some of our loyal listeners may have hesitated to actually

listen to that episode because despite what I said in the intro about it being

relevant for everyone I know that a lot of you don't feel like you're ready for

creating your own music or for sharing it so I wanted to address that today

because at musical you we really believe that creating and sharing your music

isn't an advanced thing for the best musicians only it can and should be

accessible to every musician from day one but at the same time I totally

recognize that the way music is often taught

you might be feeling a bit intimidated or reluctant to think about that I'm

channeling my past self here I spent a long time with a chip on my shoulder

about this stuff and feeling like there was a big barrier between people who

just played instruments and those musicians who really went out there and

created music worth sharing today I want to share with you two simple ways to get

started creating music worth sharing and then talk a little bit about the sharing

itself I think and I hope that the ideas I'll be sharing are going to be useful

for those of you who feel like you've never created any music of your own and

also for those of you who dabble or indeed spend a lot of your time writing

songs or composing music the first way to get started creating music is

something that comes from our approaching improvisation module in

musical you if you've been listening to the show for a while you'll have heard

our improv month episodes where we talked a lot about getting started with

improvising music and at the time we were releasing our full improvising road

map inside musical you one of the modules we released then has gone on to

be one of our most popular across the whole site and that's approaching

improvisation it's designed for people who've either never improvised before or

have tried one of the paint-by-numbers rule-based systems for improvising and

it gives you a totally fresh way to look at the beautiful simplicity that

improvisation can be all about what I wanted to share today from that module

is something that Andrew from our team calls the listen play play listen

approach it's the idea that whenever you're making music you can either be

hearing something in your head ie listening and then bringing it out

into the world ie playing or you can be playing something for example from sheet

music and then listening to it as it emerges from your instrument

the first approach listen play is essentially about playing by ear which

is one wonderfully free Avenue to improvising

the second play listen is about really paying attention to what comes out of

your instrument and allowing it to inspire and guide you in the module week

buying these two ideas and we build on them step by step to help you explore

improvisation in a way that's pure and simple and incredibly versatile and

that's what I wanted to share today on this theme of creating something worth

sharing because completely independent of all

the specifics of scales and keys and pieces you've learned an instrument

technique you may or may not have mastered these two approaches provide a

way to tap into your creativity we recently had a phenomenal masterclass at

musical U with Lisa McCormick creator of the note to self method for music

practice and I think that something will prolly talk more about in future

episodes but one comment she made almost in passing really stuck out to me and is

relevant here she said we need to remember that even a single note in

music can be beautiful pick up your instrument and play just

one note and really listen that's actually something else we feature in

the approaching improv module that idea of starting what from one note and

building up and it's that which I really wanted to put in front of you today that

reminder that in opposition to all the grand ideas we might have and the great

ambition we might or might not have for our music we need to remember how simple

a lot of the greatest music is and by sitting down with your instrument and

playing and listening and listening and playing that is a beautiful route to

creating something which truly comes from inside you so that's the first way

to get started creating and if you want more of the specifics about how to make

that improvisation experience fun and effective I'd suggest checking out our

improv month episodes I'll put links to those in the show notes because there

are some extra ideas and guidelines that will help the second way to start

getting creative is something that's come up a few times in interviews on the

show such as with Lela vez talking about stealing like an artist and Marshall

MacDonald talking about starting from a solo or a melody you like and then just

playing around with it in different ways a moment ago I talked about creating

pretty much from a blank slate just sitting down and starting from scratch

note at a time but it can be just as effective to start from something very

specific that you know how to play or that you want to figure out by ear and

use that as your starting point for example trying to just change the ending

notes of each phrase try taking the melody up instead of down or vice versa

if you stick to the notes in the key you won't sound too strange or you can try

exploring outside the key and see how that sounds of course there are a lot of

ways to experiment in our improv roadmap we call these dimensions such as pitch

rhythm dynamics Tamara and so on they are always to take something known and

make it your own one personal tip on this front try to silence your inner

critic when you do this if you're anything like me then when you sit down

to try to create your own thing and you start from some existing bit of music

you're going to almost immediately hear a voice in your head going well that's

almost the same you can't claim that's your own or this is silly you're just

making little tweaks to it you need to ignore that voice and keep exploring

sure changing one or two notes in the riff from Layla or a John Williams

soundtrack melody isn't going to provide you with your own unique masterpiece but

ignore that inner critic and keep exploring and experimenting and you'll

be surprised how quickly you'll find your weight in new territory and the

riffs melodies rhythms harmony and more which are truly unique and have come

from your own taste and creativity so that's the second way simply

experiment again that's something you can take away and do immediately but it

can also be bolstered by knowledge and skills and all the musicality material

we teach at musical you comes into play here it's a lot easier to experiment in

a way you find satisfying if your brain and your ears understand what's going on

in the music don't let that hold you back if you haven't yet done musicality

training but I just wanted to mention it as an opportunity if you find yourself

enjoying that experimenting and wanting a way to feel a bit more intentional

with it

so there are two ways to start creating and I hope one or both will help you to

start creating little bits of music that you really enjoy playing and hearing

remember to record yourself whenever you're playing around like this I was

talking with Gloria saint-germain from ultimate music theory recently and she

made this point that whenever you're in that creative mode even in a relaxed

experimental way make sure you have a record of running because you never know

when you'll play something and think wow that sounded great and it'll be a lot

easier to capture and return to you and expand on if you can listen back rather

than relying purely on your musical memory so now that you're creating what

about the sharing side well in the spirit of this show I'm not gonna plow

into the nitty-gritty of online publishing and social sharing and

establishing your online presence as an artist and all of that if you are

already a songwriter or composer and you're at the stage of wanting all of

those details then I would suggest our recent interviews with Todd McCarty and

with Bri Noble and checking out their websites I'll put links in the show

notes what I am going to talk about is that critical word in this episode's

title I said creating music worth sharing we've covered the creating and

we're not going to talk about the sharing in great detail but from what I

know of our listeners here at the musicality podcast it's probably that

word worth that's going to trip you up so I'm going to be talking to myself as

a teenager this is after I'd learned the fundamental instrument technique on a

few instruments but before I had discovered ear training for about 10

years with the exception of a brief period where I did dabble a bit with

songwriting my mindset was definitely I'm not really creative I can't make my

own music I'll just play what's been written before I've mentioned on the

show before that I couldn't play by ear and improvisation to me meant just

noodling up and down a scale and hoping it would sound okay I wrote a couple of

strange songs and one very angry song about my girlfriend dumping me and that

was about the sum total of my creative output for that decade or so and really

it all hinged on that question of worth there's this great

video of Ira Glass host of this American life talking about the curse of having

good taste and to paraphrase he explains that what

makes us passionate and gets us into creating art is that we have good taste

and we know what we love but then the irony is that it takes a really long

time for our own creative output to get good enough to live up to our own tastes

and expectations so it can be a really painful and discouraging journey if

you're not expecting that I'll put a link to the video in the show notes so

this is the key to it I think to put it bluntly we need to lower our standards

now that phrase normally has really negative connotations like we're giving

up or we're copping out or we're going to be producing really mediocre work

that's not what I'm talking about I'm talking about readjusting on a sense of

what's worth creating remember that idea of how a single note can be a beautiful

thing to hear by playing just that one lovely note you've made the world around

you tangibly better than when there was just silence

if that's the case then surely there is a whole spectrum of things worth

creating between that single note and the musical masterpieces you might be

hoping to one day create so the first step is to accept that simple can be

beautiful short can be beautiful different can be beautiful and if you

play something and you like the sound of it then it was worth creating the second

step is to decide that if it was worth creating and it brought you joy to hear

it then maybe it could do the same for someone else which means it's worth

sharing again sharing doesn't have to be this big intimidating thing it doesn't

need to mean publishing it doesn't need to mean standing up live in front of a

crowd it doesn't need to mean making it available for anyone in the world to

hear and critique sharing can be as simple as playing back the recording for

a musician friend and saying hey check out this riff I played the other day

it's kind of cool right or even as Gerald click Steen suggested in his

interview here on the show it can just mean playing for an audience

comprised of your cat take small steps and you'll realize that the things

you're capable of creating are worth creating and the things that are worth

creating are worth sharing with other people too this is something we talked

about in our get confident module in musical you that there's a great big

mindset shift you can make in your expectations of other people's

expectations we tend to think that other people are going to be really critical

and judgmental and expect only perfection from us when in fact if you

approach the right people in the right way it will be only a positive

experience to share your music with them think about your musical friends think

about your family think about a mastermind group like Todd McCarty was

talking about or yes think about your cat figure out who you do feel

comfortable sharing even just a little musical creation with and then go for it

now I'm guessing that when you saw the title of this episode about creating

music worth sharing your mind might have immediately lept to songwriting and

composing and publishing on YouTube and Spotify and all that clearly that's not

what we've covered but what I want to end with is one more point that it's not

an either/or thing if you begin to create in the ways we've discussed and

you begin to share in the ways I just suggested you're going to find that it's

all a smooth and fun path towards those big impressive acts of creating and

sharing you don't need to do all the big things from day one you don't even need

to think about them from day one start creating start sharing you might be

surprised where it takes you and I guarantee you're going to enjoy the

journey thank you for listening to the musicality podcast
