Welcome back to another video!

Today I'll be going over how to invest and when I say invest it could mean money, to

invest in knowledge there are so many different things.

So lets get into it ok so I just want you to think right now when I say the word invest

what popped into your mind is it money is it the stock market is it real estate investing

tell me what is comment down below please comment down below what popped into my mind

when I say invest so when I say invest let me tell you what popped into my mind.

books, knowledge and power let me tell you something I thank Tai Lopez for this.

books = knowledge and knowledge = knowledge because is power as long as you know to use

knowledge.

investing, the best way to do it is invest in yourself and you might have heard that

a lot but invest in yourself invest in your brain because you're only on this world once,

as far as I'm concerned so why not make yourself the best person you possibly can whether its

reading books or exercising is a good one that you don't always need money to invest

in yourself you can get like that and I go running or something whatever workout or maybe

you do want to invest in you in your brain and Gain more knowledge so you can be more

successful so buy books there's fiction books to read business books self help books.

I'll recommend some in future videos but books is definitely good one self investment is

extremely important and vital if you want to be successful whether you want money or

if you want to just be happy investment in yourself and your brain is vital for example

the average millionaire reads 30 minutes a day today so I'm sure that you will be able

to read five minutes a day then 10 then 20 and just work your way up.

you just got to gradually build your way up and I see you can just be yourself really

like when I started off reading but I never wanted to do read before because schools put

you off of reading because they force you to read crappy books and trust me I'm still

in school I can tell you they force you to read crappy books and that's killing people

not literally killing people but metaphorically killing people it's killing the habit of reading

and it's killing their creativity.

but pretty much you want to invest in yourself and read books you know be creative, there

is no cure for curiosity but the cure for non curiosity curiosity is self Improvement

I don't know, I've Butchered that quote but whatever you get the you go to deal once you

start improving yourself you get addicted it's like a drug I don't know if its the dopamine

that it gives off or whatever because I started to improve myself about 6 months ago and if

you ask some my friends like I haven't seen some of my friends in over 1 year and they

could tell you that I've literally, I'm like a new person compared to what I used to be

about a year ago not only in looks but in the knowledge the power of my mind and my

parents say that I know more stuff than than them and that's saying something trust me

pretty crazy so just to summarise everything knowledge is power to invest in your brain

invest in yourself well there's through books, exercising or whatever like you could do courses

to help yourself in whatever way you want you could do audio books if you like travelling

a lot whatever it is meeting new people that is a good on meeting new people you need to

link up with people whether it be travelling the world to meet people for business opportunities

you need to do that.

So that was the summary of everything we have talked about.

thank you for watching the video and just in case you're wondering I've been wearing

the same clothes in the last 3 or 4 videos of whatever that's because I'm just bulking

out a ton of of videos but i'll see you next video subscribe like and comment and thanks

for watching.

PDR vs COLLISION damage on F250 SUPERDUTY 🍃 - Duration: 15:26.

hello world PTR coming at you here with a I think it's a 2017 or a 16 f250

really nice truck with a large dam now this thing actually had something

scraped down the side of it we're focused mainly on right here I might do

a couple of loopholes on this one at the end but yeah this is a large and in

charge dent I gained access by just taking out one two three four of those

little screws pulled this mat down a little a little bit and I've got it

I wouldn't say nice and warm 115 116 right now you're gonna get it a little

bit warmer and I might even try to do the common sense thing a little bit on

this right from the start just put my whole hand in here and just

kind of feel how hot it is I got my thumb right up here and I'm just kind of

knuckling it a little bit okay so I moved some metal

there's some browse there um it is nice and warm I'm going to turn this down a

little bit and I think what I want to do

nice little our 34 tip and look right into this dent and basically give it

some real nice pushes to kind of I'm gonna come from this side actually and

just bring it all the way in and I'm almost following that scratch mark

because that's where the impact was made I'm kind of right there on it and I

don't want to wrinkle it like that but I do want to get that meat out as we call

it so at this point in the videos when I I say I sure do appreciate everybody

that clicks on this video I really do you guys don't mind hitting that

subscribe button welcome to the family yeah this is a

large dent guys this is a large collision style dent but we're gonna do

our best to get it to that 90 to 95 percent mark customers well aware that

it's not going to be a hundred percent and with the little scratches and stuff

on the paint I'm not planning on doing any wet sand and

polishing I'm just gonna do polishing by hand like is my norm if somebody wants

to take it to a professional detailer and they want to do that professional

wet sand and polish over the whole side of where this scuff mark was they they

can do that my thing is just the dance and now I want to change my angle a

little bit kind of like that I'm working right around here and I don't really

have a fulcrum I'm using the back or my hand I'm just I'm just holding onto that

tool and kind of pushing off my hand so not a lot of pressure but we're getting

the majority of that dance out and this one will take some time guys I know it

looked like a lot of it came out real quick but it's gonna take a lot of time

to finish this one off a little bit of brow not a lot of time a little bit of

brow there and then work this area get give himself some crossed angles let's

check this out let's go put the board way out see you know how we are we're

nice and warm with that low setting oh by the way guys this is the get a grip

arm they call it the strong arm XL and we

let's take a look at what we see here yeah this strong-arm works great holds

super nice and I will mention this guys this is not you know one could call it

sponsored video but I will say that the guy map that that sells these is having

a sale just until the end of the summer so if you do want 20% off it's not

through me or anything you can't say you know PDR told me it has nothing to do

with me but he is offering I'm 20% off for the next I think

rest of the summer so super nice tools so far it's not raining on me it's not

raining outside but I just put it up in case it does start ran or in case the

Sun breaks through the clouds and get super sunny on me

so what I'm gonna do guys a good angle there we go

I'm gonna do some caps take some of these brows down and I don't know if

we're gonna super speed the rest of this and I still don't excuse me I still see

a little line right there it needs a little bit more buffing also but I don't

know if we'll super speed the rest of this one but I know that we will come

back and show you the end result when we get o buttoned up and this thing I'll

put it back together but we might do a little super speed and have you guys

staying in it

okay guys we're back we're doing some finished work here we probably had some

speedy footage this one is definitely a bear this was a lot of dent it was a big

struggle oh and so yeah I've got the heat gun on

it on the slow setting this strong arm XL is beautiful it works great I can

just move it around if I want it's really slightly and have it you know

tighten it up to the point that it doesn't move anymore and that is a neat

thing the umbrella has been handy today not like I've needed it but I think I'm

gonna put it up just like I do with the heat gun on every job why not and so

basically what we've got is we got this line recreated and then I've got a

couple little high spots through the middle here and I'm still trying to

basically even them out with my pushes using that same soft tip I did use

Bertha for a while but I've been I've been actually doing the finished work

with this thing so now I think I've got about you know a good 15 or 20 little

pushes to make come up through this line straighten it out a little bit and this

customers well aware that it's not going to be a hundred percent but I think

pretty darn good for what we're looking at and we look at it to a different

angle yeah I can still come up here and work this last little line right

here just up there I'm gonna make sure this is really tight I do need to get

those little plaster rubber o-rings you put around that thing to secure it and

if you see while I'm doing it I'm kind of putting the tool in there finding it

with my finger right behind the middle and then I'm actually using my me to

make the push leaning into my tool and I'm coming down this line and just it

just gives me a little bit more leverage so I don't work my arm out

and I think we're taking this up pretty nice let's start putting it back

together let's take a look at it without any light turn the light off turn the

heater off and then I could just go like that to get out of the way

take that back up yeah that stuff is always gonna be there and I have told

him yeah he could get it professionally wet sanded and polished but we even got

some of this line out let's give it one more little quick polish just to see if

any more of that stuff will come out because it's flat a lot of the times

when you have a dance and you try to polish it I'm sure that somebody looked

at this video and saw me working on it will it still had that scuff and you're

like why is he working on it with a scuff on it well you got to get it flat

before you can buff it because that scuff is dented it's kind of tough to

dig in there with your rag those little things what is that is that just a

little chip in the paint probably um this is a work truck tonight's work

truck but it is a work truck so we're just doing our best to kind of band-aid

this situation and I think this looks pretty good I'm gonna start putting it

together and the way I took this apart and put it together was uh pretty nice

and easy why he's got the four bolts right here

I basically just folded it behind this this edge here and hold it out and this

is a just in case anybody's wondering what it is it is a

5/32 I think I don't know I know it's an American it's not a millimeter socket

not a specific millimeter so it is uh I think it's 5/32 it's a little tiny guy

and I'll just find my first one this one will fit just fine

damn and so we will say a couple things I sure want to say thanks to all the new

subs who really appreciate you if you haven't hit that sub button make sure

you do could always click that notification bill and then you'll be

notified every time we go live or make a new video we actually haven't gone live

yet just thinking about it thinking about maybe doing a live stream when I

have a long gap like this to do that would be a couple of hours and I did

spend a couple hours on this one guys I've I would probably say front to back

about two two and a half hours on this one

not an easy dent at all by any means and you know the outcome came out alright

the stuff is always gonna bug me but that's just kind of something you know

and I know there's a lot of people that do the wet sand and polish and I've

never personally ruined a car by doing that but having that big 3,000 rpm

machine it just it gets dicey you know it tears

off emblems and you can actually have some serious accidents with them if you

caught that poured wrap it around that thing and it can actually break your arm

I've heard some nasty stories about those things and it's not that I'm

scared of it or anything it's just not my service I do the dance and

I think professional detail shops charge quite a bit to do a wet sand and polish

I don't know just on one little tiny area if they'll even do it but I know on

a whole entire car they charge quite a bit and for those picky people who like

their paint looking really flat so

that's the last one let me get just to adjust this one in by hand and then zip

them all up real nice I thought we'd keep you in for the replacement there's

an R&R aspect to this business guys we're it's called removal and

replacement a lot of times you have to take off an inner liner maybe a door

panel maybe the back piece of a deck lid you know any of those plastic inner

pieces little things that you got to take off and put back together you just

got to always remember where you put everything you try to keep it in a

uniform fashion like anytime a customer always gives me my their keys if I'm on

somewhere that's really secure I'll put them right here right on the front

windshield wiper and if I'm not I'll put them in my bag in a specific pocket it's

only for customers keys so on that note guys let's just pop this thing off I'll

show you how to do this it has two little nubs one on each side and when

you put this thing on you go to punch it like 10 or 15 times okay so then you

pull that off super secure we can go boom boom boom

and just kind of loosen them up so they so they movie movie a little bit like

that and then when you want it to get to where you want bam bam bam bam and I'm

thinking I'm gonna go like this

I'm thinking I'm gonna go like that like that and then just wrap the cord like a

so as long as it's not still hot which is not so BAM that ended up looking

alright take a quick look at it it's not perfect it's got some waves to it it's

got a little uh a little tug right there in the middle I might even off-camera I

might even spend some time on that but other than that I will probably just

give it a little quick wipe skiing look at it and say the thing oh yeah other

than that look at that thing that thing's awesome haven't needed it yet

but if it starts raining I'm I don't be worried at all so yeah I'll just say the

thing guys this has been PDR and I'm out peace

Andrew McCain, John McCain's Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 12:41.

Andrew McCain, John McCain's Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

John McCain has lost his battle with brain cancer and he leaves behind a family of 7 children.

One of his kids is son Andrew, who is also known as Andy, has made a successful life for himself.

Andrew and his brother Doug were actually adopted by John when he married his first wife, according to ABC News.

Andrew and Doug later welcomed their sister Sidney with their parents.

In 1980, John McCain divorced his first wife and married second wife Cindy that same year.

John and Cindy then went on to have three children – Meghan, Jack and Jimmy.

They also adopted a daughter named Bridget, from Bangladesh.

Having 7 grown children can make family gatherings difficult, navigating the different schedules, but, according to ABC News, John McCain likes to get all of his kids together at least once a year.

Let's get to know more about John's family, focusing on son Andrew, his background, and who he has become today.

Andrew McCain's Biological Father Was a Classmate of John McCain.

Andrew McCain's mother is Carol Shepp and his father is a man named Alasdair E.

Swanson.

Both Alasdair and John were attending the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis when they met Carol.

In school, Alasdair was successful in basketball and football.

He then went on to become a Navy pilot.

In 1958, Alasdair and Carol married and had two children together – Andrew and Doug.

The family lived together in Pensacola, Florida, but Carol and Alasdair ultimately divorced in 1964.

Carol actually sued Alasdair for infidelity and, the LA Times reported that Carol and John McCain began dating shortly after the demise of her first marriage.

On July 3, 1965, John McCain married Carol, who was a model from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He went on to adopt Carol's two sons.

Unfortunately for Carol, like her first marriage, infidelity was an issue.

The LA Times has reported John revealing that, "My marriage's collapse was attributable to my own selfishness and immaturity.

The blame was entirely mine." Despite this, John McCain said that he has a good relationship with ex Carol today.

He Is the President of Arizona's Largest Beer Distributor.

According to Vanderbilt University's bio on Andrew, he is the President and Chief Operating Officer for Hensley Beverage Company.

The company is one of the largest, privately-held companies in Arizona and sells a variety of Anheuser-Busch products, along with teas, wine, craft brews, and specialty beverages.

Hensley & Co.

reported that Andrew was appointed as President in 2017.

Over the years, Andrew McCain has worked his way up in the company and he was also previously the company's CFO.

Andrew has overseen Hensley & Co.'s financial operations, treasury, accounting, strategic planning, sales and marketing.

Upon accepting the role as President, Andrew's statement via Hensley was that, "It is an honor to have the opportunity to now serve Hensley at this level, and to continue to grow the organization as the preeminent market leader that represents world class products and superior customer service.".

Andrew received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1984 and his MBA in 1986, both at Vanderbilt University.

In addition to becoming the President and COO at Hensley, he also took on many other esteemed roles.

He has been a board member for the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, Chairman of the Hensley Employee Foundation, a Patrons Committee member of United Methodist Outreach Ministries' New Day Centers and he has been Chairman of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

Hensley & Company Was Inherited From Andrew's Step-Mother and All the Kids Share Ownership.

Hensley & Co.

has only had three Presidents since the company was founded in 1955 by Jim Hensley and it was inherited by Andrew's step-mother, Cindy McCain, who was Jim's daughter.

According to the NY Times, as of 2008, Cindy still controlled 34 percent of the company.

Andrew McCain reportedly owns 6.8 percent of the company and his siblings also have ownership.

Cindy McCain's biological children, Meghan, Jack and James, each have 7.73 percent of the company, while Cindy and John's adopted daughter, Bridget, owns 3.4 percent, as reported by the NY Times.

All together, Cindy and her children reportedly own 68 percent of Hensley & Co.

Prior to Andrew McCain becoming the President of the company, Robert Delgado was the President, and he assumed the role in 1994.

Today, Delgado remains the Chief Executive Officer of Hensley.

He is also a board member, as part of the Phoenix Children's Hospital, the Biltmore Bank of Arizona and the Stardust Foundation.

James Willis Hensley, aka Jim Hensley, died in 2000 and had most of the controlling stock of the company at the time.

Hensley left most of his estate to Cindy, while his daughter Kathleen and her family received a sum, along with other items from Hensley's estate and, according to Business Insider, this had an effect on Cindy and Kathleen's relationship.

Kathleen, aka Kathy, reportedly inherited just $10,000.

Andrew McCain's Mother Suffered Permanent Damage In a Car Accident.

Andrew McCain's mom, Carol Shepp, suffered a major car accident when her then-husband, John McCain, was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.

On Christmas Eve in 1969, Carol was driving in Philadelphia and her car skidded, resulting in her hitting a utility pole.

The accident occurred in an icy and snowy area and Carol was alone while driving, according to the LA Times.

She was thrown from the car and into the snow, which resulted in two smashed legs, a broken pelvis, ruptured spleen and a broken arm.

After the accident Carol underwent many operations and was in the hospital for months, but she kept her husband in the dark about the accident, since he was overseas.

While recovering, her sons, Andy and Doug, reportedly stayed with friends in Florida, while her daughter was with family.

The LA Times reported that Carol lost 5 inches in height, as a result of her surgeries and treatment.

According to the Daily Mail, Carol had to learn how to walk again.

When Carol and John divorced, part of the settlement was that Carol's medical bills would be covered for life.

According to the Daily Mail, Carol said, "My accident is well recorded.

I had 23 operations, I am five inches shorter than I used to be and I was in hospital for six months.

It was just awful, but it wasn't the reason for my divorce … My marriage ended because John McCain didn't want to be 40, he wanted to be 25.

You know that happens … it just does." John married current wife Cindy within weeks of his divorce from Carol.

In 2008 Andrew Quit as Director of the Failed Silver State Bancorp for "Personal Reasons".

Prior to becoming the President of Hensley & Co., Andrew McCain was a Director for Silver State Bancorp.

Ultimately, the bank company failed and, according to the Huffington Post, prior to the failure, in 2008, Andrew quit as director for "personal reasons." At the time of Andrew's departure, Silver State Bank was on "shaky financial footing.".

According to a statement from Arizona Republic, "One of U.S.

【#044】Do you understand Gifu dialect!?~日本人でも分からない!?岐阜弁について~with English subtitle - Duration: 12:09.

Hi guys! It's Misaki!

The view you just saw is from my hometown Gifu.

I wanted to take this video in my home but it was too hot to do so...haha So I'm taking it here at my apartment in Tokyo.

It was 39.3 degrees in Ibigawa-cho, which is the nearby my hometown.

I'll introduce some dialects from Gifu today.

I lived in Gifu for 22 years so I don't know which one is considered the Gifu dialect. So I checked it out on the website.

I will introduce 7 verbs dialect today.

If this video has a good rating, I'll make some more videos about the Gifu dialect.

I will introduce 7 verbs in the form of quiz.

1. Akaru

例文:お茶をあからかしたらいかんよ、牛乳をあからかしたらあかん

Think about it!

Akaru means "Spill" in English.

So the example sentences mean "Don't spill the tea" and "Don't spill the milk".

Oru. This is easy one!

例文:そこにおったらあかん、あの場所におったのは私の友達だよ

Think about it!

"Oru" means "be" in English.

So the example sentences mean "Don't be there" and "The person there is my friend".

We use it very often, but I think it's used not only in gifu but also in Kansai.

Kau

It doesn't mean "買う(buy)" here.

例文:鍵をかっといて、鍵をかうのを忘れちゃダメだよ

Think about it!

"Kau" means "to lock" in English.

Actually I didn't know it's gifu dialect. My mother usually uses "Kakeru" when she leaves the house.

Kowasu

It doesn't mean "壊す(break)" here.

例文:銀行にいってお金こわしといて、今10000円しかないから1000円にお金をこわしておいて欲しい

Think about it!

"Kowasu" means "change money" in English.

So the example sentences mean "Please change money at the bank" and "I only have one 10,000yen note now, I want to exchange it to ten 1,000yen notes".

Actually we use it so often so I didn't know it's one of our dialects.

One of my high school friends told me and I was very surprised.

Tsuru

It doesn't mean "釣る(to fish)" here.

例文:机をつってください、ひきづらずにつってください

Think about it!

"Tsuru" means "to move the table to another place" in English.

When I was a high school student and I said "Tsuru", my friends couldn't understand it.

Hokaru

例文:ゴミをほかっといて、いらないものをほかって

"Hokaru" means "to throw something away" in English.

Actually I didn't know it's one of our dialects. I think the people from Mie say "Hokasu"

Mieru

It doesn't mean "can see" here.

例文:先生が見えたよ、お客さんが見えた

Think about it!

"Mieru" means "to be (in formal way)" in English.

So the example sentences mean "The teacher comes" and "the clients are here".

I had a small incident with the dialect. When I was an internship student, my boss said I had to use polite expressions.

I was shocked and surprised at that time and I've explained it to my boss.

I've introduced some dialects from Gifu.

You might have noticed that I sometimes use Gifu dialect and intonation in the videos.

If you have any questions about the words I use, let me know in the comments.

Also if you have any questions about Gifu, ask me anytime.

If you like the content of the video, don't forget to give me a Like!

Please subscribe to my channel!

If you're interested in Gifu, please come!

See you soon in the next video! Thank you so much for watching!

6 Habits that May Be Affecting Your Kidneys - Duration: 7:46.

6 Habits that May Be Affecting Your Kidneys

Your kidneys are the organs in charge of working all day to filter waste from your blood.

They process an estimated 190 liters of blood during the day and filter out about two liters of water and toxins.

They also play a very important role in secreting certain hormones and regulating blood pressure.

However, just like the other organs in your body, your kidneys can end up compromised due to illness or excessive accumulation of waste.

The thing is that many people aren't aware of the measures they should take to keep them healthy.

In fact, people actually sometimes practice habits that are harmful.

The most concerning thing is that as the days pass, your kidneys may significantly weaken and end up really affecting your quality of life, even if you don't notice anything at first.

That's why we'd like to take this opportunity to tell you about 6 habits that affect your kidney health.

Read below to find out what they are!.

"We recommend reading: Fight Infection and Dissolve Kidney Stones with This Special Ginger Tea".

1,Not drinking enough water.

One factor that contributes to kidney and urinary tract issues is not drinking enough water.

This vital liquid is essential for optimal detoxification processes and, together with your kidneys, is responsible for removing toxins from your blood.

Dehydration may lead to kidney stones while increasing the risk of infections and other inflammatory problems.

Suggestions.

Drink between 6 and 8 glasses of water a day.

Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables with high water content.

Consume healthy beverages like tea or fruit waters.

2,Excessive consumption of salt.

It's a harmless habit for some, but sodium accumulation in your body can trigger serious imbalances in your kidney and cardiovascular system.

Eating foods with high salt content is a direct cause of high blood pressure and fluid retention.

These conditions are associated with poor kidney function because excess sodium makes your kidneys slow to removing excess minerals through urine.

Suggestions.

Replace refined table salt with Himalayan or sea salt.

Avoid consuming more than 3 grams of salt a day (half a tablespoon).

Look for alternative ways to season your food, like with healthy spices and herbs.

3,Excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages.

While alcohol mainly affects your liver, the toxins in alcohol also affect your kidneys.

Excessive, habitual consumption of alcoholic beverages can cause kidney failure and serious damage.

Suggestions.

Moderate or avoid consuming alcoholic beverages, including red wine.

4,Eating red meat.

While red meat contains nutrients that are good for your health, eating too much of it can lead to the development of metabolic and renal problems.

The excess protein and fat make your excretory organs work harder and thus makes them less able to remove toxins.

Red meat is also high in purine, which gets turned into uric acid in your body.

This substance gradually builds up in your tissues and can trigger chronic conditions like kidney stones and gout.

Suggestions.

Make two portions of red meat a week your maximum.

Replace red meat with healthier options like chicken, fish, or turkey.

5,Holding in your need to urinate.

Holding in your need to urinate is a very dangerous habit that may seem harmless at first but it can lead to inflammation in the kidneys.

While sometimes you can't get to the bathroom immediately, it's ideal to do it as soon as possible to prevent these issues.

Regularly keeping it in for a long time increases the pressure in your urinary tract and affects both your kidneys and bladder.

Suggestions.

Get to the bathroom as soon as your body tells you to.

Don't drink too much when you don't have access to a bathroom.

"Read this too: 8 Crucial Signs of Kidney Failure Most People Ignore".

6,Abusing painkillers.

Pain relievers help with many common aches and pains, but unfortunately, come with side effects when taken in excess.

The chemical compounds in them must be metabolized in your body and often cause kidney and liver problems.

Suggestions.

Decrease your use of painkillers as much as you can.

Whenever possible, replace them with natural remedies like medicinal teas.

Do you see yourself in any of the above habits? If so, make an effort to correct them and your kidneys will thank you.

John McCain Dead: 5 Fast Facfs You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-AZ) speaks at a news conference at the U.S.

Capitol February 24, 2016 in Washington, DC.

John McCain, the former presidential candidate and war hero who survived torture in Hanoi to serve three decades as a U.S.

Senator, at times vexing his own party as a "maverick" who cast the key vote on healthcare reform, is dead at the age of 81.

McCain died at 4:28 p.m.

on August 25, 2018, not long after his family announced that he was ceasing treatment for brain cancer.

He was surrounded by his wife, Cindy, and his family when he died.

His office released a statement, highlighting how McCain had served his country "faithfully for sixty years" at the time of his death.

The son of an Admiral who hailed from a family with a long legacy of military tradition, McCain, who was born in the Panama Canal Zone, spent his entire life in public service, first serving in the Navy for 22 years (and spending more than five of those years as a North Vietnamese prisoner of war).

He served in Congress since 1982, became a U.S.

Senator in 1987, and was the 2008 Republican nominee for president.

McCain's death comes after the Arizona Republican revealed in July 2017 that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Specifically, McCain was diagnosed with glioblastoma, which is a particularly aggressive form of the cancer.

Even before he passed away, there was jockeying for his seat in the U.S.

Senate, a seat the Republicans want to hold.

McCain died from the same form of brain cancer that felled U.S.

Senator Ted Kennedy and Beau Biden, the son of former vice president Joe Biden.

Kennedy survived 15 months after his diagnosis, which is about the median survival rate for that kind of tumor; Beau Biden lived two years.

Indeed, Joe Biden consoled McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, on the set of the television show, The View, as news spread that her father was weakening.

McCain went home to Arizona for Christmas, missing a vote on tax reform, the first signal that he might not return to Washington.

In the days before his death, he was clearly weakening as his family announced he would no longer seek treatment.

Here's what you need to know:.

McCain Revealed He Was Suffering From Brain Cancer Last Summer & Slowly Declined.

John McCain revealed that he had brain cancer in July 2017.

McCain released a statement to the news media at that time that said in part, "On Friday, July 14, Sen.

John McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot from above his left eye at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix.

Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot.

Scanning done since the procedure (a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision) shows that the tissue of concern was completely resected by imaging criteria.".

McCain was hospitalized in December 2017 as news reports started to come out that his health was failing.

According to the Hill, President Trump called McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, on December 15 after McCain was hospitalized.

But he held on.

"McCain was hospitalized…at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington due to side effects from his cancer treatment," reported The Hill.

McCain was taken to the hospital in the midst of the tax reform bill in the Senate; according to The Hill, he voted "in favor of Senate Republicans' initial bill" earlier in December 2017, but had not yet said how he would vote on the final tax reform package.

A glioblastoma is the most common brain tumor that affects adults.

It is also the most rapidly growing malignant tumor of the brain, with the shortest survival rate," NBC reported.

Although McCain slowly weakened after announcing his diagnosis, he was able to attend the wedding of his daughter Meghan.

"After a health scare two weeks ago, McCain returned home to Arizona to spend the holidays with his family.

He tweeted on Dec.

18 that he was 'looking forward to returning to work after the holidays,'" The Hill reported.

McCain Was the Son of an Admiral & His Family Has a Long Legacy of Military Service.

When McCain went to war in Vietnam, he did so as the son of an Admiral.

According to Biography.com, "The son of a decorated Navy admiral, John McCain was born at the Coco Solo Naval Station in Panama on August 29, 1936.

He enrolled at the U.S.

Naval Academy and was dispatched to Vietnam, where he was tortured as a prisoner of war between 1967 and 1973.".

He was born John Sidney McCain III, "the second of three children born to naval officer John S.

McCain Jr.

and his wife, Roberta." It was a family with a long legacy of military service.

"Both McCain's father and paternal grandfather, John S.

McCain Sr., were four-star admirals, with John Jr.

rising to command U.S.

naval forces in the Pacific," Biography.com reported.

McCain's two youngest sons, Jack and Jimmy, are also in the U.S.

military.

Jimmy serves as a Marine, and has served tours in Iraq.

John is a Navy lieutenant and helicopter pilot.

As of the date of his death, McCain's mother was still alive at the age of 106-years-old.

McCain's Vietnamese captors during his years as a POW figured out that his father was an admiral.

"Though initially refusing to give McCain medical treatment, the North Vietnamese, upon discovering that McCain's father was an admiral in the Navy, decided to give him medical care," ABC News reported.

McCain Was Tortured & Interrogated as a POW by the North Vietnamese, Suffering Injuries That Lasted His Entire Life.

John McCain spent 5 and a half years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.

He wrote a firsthand account of what occurred, which was printed in U.S.

News and World Report.

"The date was Oct. 26, 1967.

I was on my 23rd mission, flying right over the heart of Hanoi in a dive at about 4,500 feet, when a Russian missile the size of a telephone pole came up—the sky was full of them—and blew the right wing off my Skyhawk dive bomber.

It went into an inverted, almost straight-down spin," McCain wrote.

A crowd of people converged on him, he wrote.

"Some North Vietnamese swam out and pulled me to the side of the lake and immediately started stripping me, which is their standard procedure.

Of course, this being in the center of town, a huge crowd of people gathered, and they were all hollering and screaming and cursing and spitting and kicking at me." What ensued was years of captivity in brutal conditions as his captors interrogated him.

"They beat me around a little bit.

I was in such bad shape that when they hit me it would knock me unconscious.

They kept saying, "You will not receive any medical treatment until you talk," McCain recalled, the magazine article imparted.

McCain's injuries were severe both from the crash and his treatment as a POW.

"When he noticed the injuries to his right leg –- which he says had fractured at the knee –- one of his captors slammed a rifle butt into his right shoulder, shattering it, the account said.

He was then bayoneted in the abdomen and foot," ABC News reported.

For two years, McCain was kept in solitary confinement.

Mikaela Mayer: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Mikaela Mayer is facing Edina Kiss in Arizona tonight, live on ESPN.

Mikaela Mayer, a professional boxer from Los Angeles, California, will be debuting on ESPN Saturday night, marking her first, but likely not last, appearance on the network.

She will face Edina Kiss in the ring at the Gila River Arena, Arizona at 10:30 p.m ET.

"ESPN+ was definitely an opportunity for people to see me fight and mature, so that was cool, but I've been waiting for my first televised fight.

I think it's happening at the perfect time.

I've learned a lot this past year.

I'm ready to showcase my skills in front of the world," Mayer told Inside the Ropes.

In 2017, Mayer signed with the promotion company Top Rank, which marked the start of her professional career.

However, she is already highly recognized in the lightweight and light welterweight divisions of the sport, and represented Team USA during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Here's what you need to know about Mayer ahead of her 7th professional fight against Kiss Saturday night:.

Mayer Found Purpose & Direction in Boxing, After Nearly Becoming a High School Dropout.

Mayer, who was raised in Los Angeles by her father, was on her way to dropping out of school when she found boxing.

According to NBC Sports, she had attended four schools in three years, and continued getting in trouble for fighting and bad grades.

"All I cared about was my friends, and going out and partying, and being a young, cool teenager," Mayer told NBC.

"I was looking for something, but I had no idea what.".

Mayer, a 17-year-old model at the time, realized that she had no future with the path she was on, and decided to do something about it.

She started practicing muay thai and kickboxing at a little storefront gym down the road from her dad's house in San Fernando Valley, before she moved on to boxing.

"I was hungry for success in something at that time, because I wasn't doing well at anything," Mayer said.

"I was like, 'I want to be good at something.' It's always been inside me.

I've always had that fire.

I didn't have anywhere to direct it.".

She became a Golden Gloves champion just a few years later, according to NBC.

When the Olympics added a women's tournament in 2010, Mayer and her father, Mark, decided to "chase medals.".

Mayer Was The First Woman Taught By Boxing Coach Al Mitchell, Who Has Coached Several Olympic Teams & Professional Boxing Champions.

Mayer heard about Al Mitchell, who was a long-time boxing coach at the Olympic Training Center in Marquette, at Northern Michigan University.

Mitchell, who has trained the likes of Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward, was reluctant to take Mayer on, as he had only trained men before.

Mitchell eventually agreed, but only on the grounds that Mayer enroll in college first.

He trained her at the United States Olympic Education Center until the program was closed, and then trained her personally.

"The thing that makes Mikaela different is her commitment," Mitchell told NBC.

"When she walked in here, I broke her down and rebuilt her.

She never believed it was too hard, and she never gave up.

She has toughness that got her this far, and now it's getting her all the way to the Olympics.

It's an incredible thing to do in that amount of time.".

During Mitchell's years at the USOEC, he has trained nine Olympians, over 200 National Champions and has led numerous boxers into a professional boxing career, according to Box Rec.

She grew so close to Mitchell and his fiancee over the years that she had Mitchell's initials tattooed on her ride hand, according to NBC.

Mayer Qualified For The Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games in 2016 But Lost to Russia's Anastasia Belyakova.

When Mayer was just 20-years-old, she was already a two-time national champion, one-time national silver medalist, and ranked fourth in the country at the 132lb weight class, according to Team USA.

When she first started at the USOEC center, she had a plethora of championships already under her belt: she was the 2009 Jr.

Olympic Champion, 2009 National PAL Champion, 2010 USA Boxing Bronze Medalist and was ranked third at the 178lb-plus weight class, Team USA reports.

Under Mitchell's direction, Mayer went on to compete in the the women's 60 kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

She was eliminated in the quarterfinal by Russian Anastasia Belyakova, who took a majority decision.

Later in the competition, a "handful of Olympic boxing judges were sent home after two other highly questionable victories by Russian males," according to Los Angeles Times.

However, Mayer didn't let the loss dampen her spirits, and was determined to continue building interest in women's boxing.

Mayer Was Signed By Top Rank, Who Was Impressed With Her Determination to Build Interest in Women's Boxing.

After her Olympic loss, Mayer returned home to be "right back where [she] started," and was faced with the choice of returning to amateur boxing or to join Bellator MMA, according to the LA Times.

"I always knew I could be the exception, that I could make it work in boxing by myself.

I lost sight of that in the Olympics.

I lost sight of the goal I had to create a market for women's boxing," Mayer told the LA Times.

As Mayer headed to mixed martial arts camp in Las Vegas, her manager George Ruiz reached out to Top Rank President Todd Duboef and and arranged a meeting.

DuBoef was impressed with Mayer's commitment to boxing and offered her a contract to fight five times a year, just as the company was working out a deal with ESPN to expand the sport's mainstream reach, the LA Times reports.

"This is what I dreamed of.

I knew I didn't want to abandon my sport," Mayer told the LA Times. "[Top Rank] saw the vision.

They were confident they could sell the vision and make it a thing.".

Mayer is currently 6-0 for her professional career, and is looking to make that a 7-0 after her fight with Edina Kiss Saturday night at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Mayer Says That Fighting Live on ESPN is a "Dream Come True"  & Can't Wait to Showcase Her Skills on the "Greatest Sports Network in the World".

The Mayer vs.

Kiss fight will be part of a special world championship event featuring Ray Beltran's WBO lightweight title defense against Jose Pedraza and Isaac Dogboe's WBO junior featherweight title defense against Hidenori Otake, according to Round by Round Boxing.

"Fighting live on ESPN is a dream come true and something I have been looking forward to since I made the decision to leave the amateur ranks and turn pro with Top Rank," Mayer told RBR.

"I gave up my dream of an Olympic gold medal to step onto a bigger stage and to help take women's boxing to the next level.

Now, after years of fighting out of the limelight, I get to showcase my skills on the greatest sports network in the world.".

Beltran-Pedraza, Dogboe-Otake, and Mayer-Kiss will air live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10:30 p.m.

ET, with undercard action streaming live beginning at 7:30 p.m.

on ESPN+.

John & Cindy McCain: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:29.

John & Cindy McCain: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Senator John McCain has died.

He and his wife, Cindy McCain, had been married for 38 years and were the proud parents of four children, Jimmy, Jack, Meghan, and Bridget (John also had three other children from a previous relationship).

The couple, who lived together in Phoenix, Arizona, have been through thick and thin over the years, but always supported one another and were a unified front for both their family and for their country.

Here's what you need to know:.

Cindy Defended Her Husband Following Kelly Sadler's Comment About Him During a White House Meeting That Took Place on May 10.

Earlier this week, special assistant to President Donald Trump Kelly Sadler reportedly made a comment about John McCain during an internal meeting.

During said meeting, White House officials were discussing President Trump's nominee for CIA director, Gina Haspel.

According to The Hill, Sadler's comment was made while discussing McCain's opposition to Trump's choice.

"It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway," Sadler said, according to a source.

Shortly after the comment was made, Cindy McCain took to Twitter to call out Sadler and to defend her husband.

"May I remind you my husband has a family, 7 children and 5 grandchildren," Cindy posted with an @reply to Sadler.

Sadler has not responded to Cindy McCain, nor has she issued any kind of statement or apology about the comment she made about him.

They Welcomed 4 Children Together & Cindy Stayed in Arizona to Raise Them When John Went to Work in Washington D.

John and Cindy McCain have four children together.

Cindy gave birth to three of the couple's children, Meghan, Jack, and Jimmy.

The couple adopted their daughter, Bridget, from Bangladesh.

Meghan McCain is, perhaps, the most well-known of the McCain children.

She is a former Fox News contributor, and is currently a co-host on The View.

The 33-year-old is married to Ben Domenech.

John "Jack" McCain IV, 31, is a Navy lieutenant and helicopter pilot.

He is the oldest son of John and Cindy McCain.

Jack and his wife, Renee, have one son together, John S.

McCain V.

Jimmy McCain was also in the U.S.

military, following in the footsteps of his father and his older brother.

As a Marine, he served a tour in Iraq.

He married his wife, Holly, in 2016.

John and Cindy McCain adopted their daughter, Bridget, back in 1993.

That year, "Cindy visited Bangladesh and met the baby at an orphanage, who had a severe cleft palate.

Cindy decided to bring the baby back to the United States, where she underwent years of surgery," ABC News reported.

According to People Magazine, Cindy didn't tell her husband about baby Bridget.

She brought her home to the United States and introduced her to John.

Adopting Bridget was very special to Cindy McCain.

She was on the Board of Directors for Operation Smile.

"Operation Smile [is] a non-profit organization whose mission is to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for children around the world.

She was a member of the HALO Trust Board, as well as a founding Member of the Eastern Congo Initiative.

She is committed to raising awareness of the travesties facing women and children in the Congo," reads an excerpt on the McCain charity website.

When John McCain decided to get into politics, he and Cindy decided that he'd go to Washington D.C.

without his family.

Cindy stayed back in Arizona and raised their kids.

"We wanted them to have a well-rounded life, and we gave them that out West," Cindy told People Magazine back in 2008.

John McCain adopted his first wife Carol's two sons, Doug and Andy.

He and Carol also have a daughter, Sidney, who is now in her 50s.

They Met While John Was Still Legally Married to His First Wife & They Were 17 Years Apart in Age.

John McCain met his second wife, Cindy, at a cocktail party in Hawaii back in 1979.

At the time, he was still legally married to his first wife, Carol Shepp McCain; John and Carol were separated at the time.

"Schmaltzy as it sounds, it was love at first sight," John McCain told Larry King during an interview back in 2002.

There was a 17-year age difference between John and Cindy, which is something they tried to cover up when they first started dating.

"He made himself younger, and I made myself older, of course," Cindy once told Ryan Seacrest.

"In Arizona when you apply for a marriage license, it's published in the newspaper.

Of course when they published the application, we both found out together our true ages.

It didn't matter anyway.

I felt like he wouldn't be interested in someone as young as me – and he felt I wouldn't be interested in someone that was older, like he was.

So it was for true love that we did it.

And it's been a funny joke for our kids ever since," she added.

According to the Los Angeles Times, John and Carol McCain's divorce was finalized on April 2, 1980.

He married Cindy six weeks later, on May 17 of that same year.

The Bond Between John & Cindy Was 'Incredible' & They Were Each Other's Biggest Supporters.

John and Cindy McCain exemplified the bond between a husband and a wife.

In fact, those who knew them best simply couldn't deny how in tune with one another the couple had been.

"The bond between them is just incredible," family friend Betsey Bayless told People Magazine in 2008.

John and Cindy shared in joys and sorrows as a unified front.

They supported each other through some very dark times, including a period in which Cindy was addicted to pain medication.

"[John] McCain has helped his wife through troubled times as well.

In the early '90s, after back surgery, Cindy became addicted to painkillers, some of which she swiped from the medical charity she founded," People Magazine reported.

"He sat down next to me and said, 'You should come to me first with whatever it is — I love you, I'm here for you, I will get through this with you.

' And he did," Cindy previously told the outlet.

When John was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017, Cindy stuck by his side and was there for the highs and the lows that he experienced each day.

They Started the McCain Institute for International Leadership.
