New iPhone X could bring good and bad news for Apple fans wanting to upgrade | Tech News - Duration: 2:04.

APPLE'S 2018 iPhone X looks set to be announced within weeks but fans trying to get hold of

one at launch could be left hugely disappointed.

If all the rumours are true, we could see Apple unveiling its new iPhone X in just over

two weeks time.

The US technology firm is expected to reveal a trio of updated devices on September 12

at their headquarters in Cupertino.

There's no word yet from Apple on an official release but many experts believe the 12th

looks most likely for the big reveal and Express.co.uk has carried out our own research which backs

up this date.

Apple will no doubt confirm its next keynote soon but rumours and leaks are suggesting

some exciting announcements are inbound.

The biggest speculation is that three new iPhones will be unveiled at the September

event with an update to the current X possibly featuring an improved camera, processor and

more internal memory.

Alongside this refreshed phone, we could also see the launch of a bigger iPhone X Plus which

may include a giant 6.5-inch edge-to-edge display.

Perhaps the most exciting piece of gossip comes for those who want Apple's stunning

new bezel-free design without paying that £1,000 premium price.

It seems there could be a mid-range iPhone X unveiled in a few weeks that will offer

an all-screen look at a much cheaper price.

It's thought Apple will keep the cost down by including an LCD display and single camera

rather than the dual-lens offering on its flagship.

Rumours are also rife that this 'budget' iPhone will ship in a number of colour options

which is sure to be a hugely popular decision.

With a more affordable price and a range of styles to choose from this new phone is likely

to fly off shelves but one expert is warning they could be in short supply.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, analysts at GBH Insights have suggested more than 350

million iPhones could ship over next 12 months.

Are you a gated person or are you an open house?

Personality type number one: I only want to have scheduled phone calls. I always

put my phone on silent mode or do not disturb mode.

I'm only turning it on if I have a scheduled phone call for a specific time.

Because I feel it's very distracting like the phone buzzing and ringing.

I don't want to be available all the time because I feel when I wanna have a conversation,

I want to spend some quality time. I want the environment to be quiet. I want to be

able to hear what the other person is saying.

I don't want to be distracted. I'm gonna be in the middle of things.

I want to take some dedicated time to talk to this person.

When I'm doing some work, I prefer to be uninterrupted.

I'm sitting down. I can write a two thousand word article in an hour's time.

I don't want to be interrupted by some random call that is disrupting my flow of words, my

flow state and then it's asking me some random question.

I don't like to be available so that's why I'm like super gated about my phone schedule in advance

like someone has to send me like an email or like a text message, direct

messages and we have to agree on a specific date and time. So, there is

another type of person: type 2. Those are the open house people.

They basically say, call me anytime. They put a phone number on the website, on their

LinkedIn profile, everywhere. They want to get you to call them whenever you want.

They're really happy if you call them like the time doesn't matter.

Switching between working and the phone call in a seconds notice,

they can get back to work like instantaneously.

Which personality type are you or is there

like a third type I don't know about?

Leave your phone number below in the comments.

6 Good Habits that Reduce Your Risk of Dementia - Duration: 8:07.

6 Good Habits that Reduce Your Risk of Dementia

Dementia is a progressive disease that causes a dramatic deterioration in brain function.

When it appears, it affects your ability to create memories and thoughts.

It can even alter your normal brain chemistry functions.

In many cases, it has to do with genetic issues and age-specific changes.

However, dementia can also occur as a result of other disorders.

While there have been some medical techniques developed to cope with it, this continues to produce some of the most severe dependency problems among the elderly population.

Because of this, many experts have recommended a series of practices with effects on the brain that can help reduce your risk of suffering from this disorder.

Today, we want to share the six most important with you in detail so you can start practicing them every day.

1,Get physical activity.

Getting exercise is the most effective preventive measure you can take against dementia and other cognitive problems that appear with age.

This is due to the benefits it has on your circulation and cardiovascular health, which are crucial for optimizing brain function.

Suggestions.

Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.

Design a workout plan that combines cardiovascular exercise with strength training.

2,Quit smoking.

People who smoke or are constantly exposed to cigarette smoke are at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia that can significantly reduce their quality of life.

Quitting smoking and adopting a full detox plan could be crucial for avoiding those serious consequences.

Suggestions.

If you're involved with a group of people who smoke, try to adopt some habits to break that bad habit before it affects your health.

This may include making a collective group movement to quit together.

After all, it's healthier for everyone!.

To quit smoking, drink teas for anxiety and keep your mind busy with other things.

3,Read every day.

The habit of reading is one of the best ways to train and strengthen your brain to prevent the onset of neurodegenerative diseases.

When you read, some important functions are activated in your memory, which enhances your creativity and other cognitive abilities.

Suggestions.

Read articles of interest in your spare time.

Start reading a book that catches your eye.

Try reading a little every night before you go to sleep.

4,Do activities that challenge your brain.

Activities that challenge your brain area a great way to strengthen your memory, thinking, and other important functions.

Solving math problems, working through puzzles, and doing other thought exercises can decrease your risk of memory loss during adulthood.

Suggestions.

Solve crossword puzzles, Sudoku, or any strategy game.

Work through some math problems.

Learn a new language.

Write without lifting your pen or pencil.

5,Adopt a healthy diet.

Food plays a very important role in the health of your brain.

Believe it or not, the nutrients you obtain through your diet can help determine how well your brain functions.

Eating healthy foods that are rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients helps maintain good cellular oxygen levels and continuously regenerates your cells.

Foods that are rich in saturated fats, sugar, and other industrial additives, however, can speed up your loss of cognitive functions.

Suggestions.

Design a calorie-controlled diet plan that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Increase your daily consumption of water and other healthy beverages.

Don't forget to increase your intake of healthy sources of essential amino acids and complex carbohydrates.

Consume foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Avoid commercial or very salty foods.

6,Enjoy your social activities.

Social relationships constantly stimulate brain activity and produce feelings of well-being, both of which help stave off dementia during old age.

Maintaining a group of relatives and friends with whom you regularly interact helps improve your memory and also prevents feelings of loneliness and depression.

Suggestions.

Spend your free time with your closest friends.

Make fun plans with friends and family.

Establish healthy bonds when you feel sad or depressed.

All of the habits can be a great support system for keeping your brain active and strong despite the passage of time.

Try to incorporate them into your daily life and you'll feel the difference!.

they have a lot of strain makes and pains

in their muscles

and what we found is that the way they're sleeping

is not beneficial to the chiropractic adjustments

or just having proper lifestyle.

So, a lot of times people sleep on their stomachs.

The reason why is sleeping on your stomach is not

beneficial to your body is because if you look at it-

- so this is my model, Katie-

and Katie while sitting on her stomach is

popping up her hip, which puts a torque in the pelvis,

and also makes a twist in the spine, here in the low back.

Then, when she's sleeping on her stomach,

she also has to breathe, so therefore she turns her head

to the side and has her shoulder

propped underneath the pillow.

So, sleeping like that for up to eight hours a night is not

very conducive to having relaxed muscles and usually

creates a lot of tension in the neck muscles the

low back and even the mid-back,

and problems in the hip also.

Now, the proper positions to sleep will eat either on

your back or on your side.

So, when sleeping on the side, as you can see right now

her knee is slipped forward. So, what you'd want to do is

actually find a pillow that you can stack in

between the knees and have your pelvis completely

stacked one hip over the other

and one knee over the other, just like this.

The same thing will be for the shoulders.

So, instead of having your shoulders maybe rolled underneath you,

you'd want to find a pillow that is the width of your shoulder,

from ear to your shoulder.

The center of your forehead, your nose, and your chin

should be all aligned in a central line with your chest.

Then, also to make the spine in your low back

a little bit more neutral, you'd prop a pillow-

- just this size underneath the knees.

That would be the best way to sleep- would be on your back!

What causes income inequality and tribal politics | Bill Drayton - Duration: 4:41.

Bill Drayton: Maybe a good way to get into this is to ask: why are income distributions

everywhere getting worse and worse, regardless of the nature of the economy, regardless of

ideology?

That's just a fact.

And the second question: why do we have "us versus them" politics (and all the pain

and disruption that causes) spreading and spreading across the world?

So that's another fact.

So this is not based on a personality or some economic peculiarity.

There's a deeper force at work.

So let's start with some other facts.

From 1700 to now, the rate of change and the degree of interconnection have both been going

up, each feeding the other exponentially.

And the demand for repetition has been going down in a mirror curve.

These curves have been going for 300 years, and we're now at a point that much of the

world is already functioning as an everything-changing world where you must be a "change-maker"

to be able to play in this game.

And those are skills that are almost exactly the opposite of the skills that were appropriate

in a world organized around efficiency and repetition.

The old model was: you learn a skill – barber, banking, it doesn't matter.

And then you repeat it for life in workplaces with walls – assembly lines, law firms.

And that world is basically gone, except a lot of people don't know it yet.

And in the world that is all around us, the successful parts of the world, you have to

have very different skills.

You've got to be able to live in a kaleidoscope of contacts that are all changing and are

interconnected.

And you have to be able to see new patterns and come together in new teams and work with

teams of teams.

This is very complex and it requires very specific skills.

And the world is now increasingly divided by the new inequality between those that have

the skills and are in the new game of change and those who don't have the skills.

And this is very bitter.

The people who are in the game are helping one another get better as it speeds up because

that's what you do with teammates.

You need your teammates to be really good.

So that part of the world is getting better and better at a game that the other part doesn't

see, doesn't have the skills, and is being pushed out.

And we're telling those people, "Go away.

We don't need you.

It's your fault.

And by the way your kids don't have much of a future."

So why do we have income distribution getting worse?

Because there's a bidding war for the people who are change-makers, who are in the change

game, and there's going-away demand for people who don't have those skills.

Economics 101.

Why do we have us-versus-them politics?

Because if you treat anyone—let alone large parts of humanity—in this really terrible

way, "You can't be a part of society; You can't contribute; You are powerless"—This

is terrible!

This is what makes people profoundly unhappy.

And of course you have opioids.

We have to tear down the new inequality and therefore the income inequality and this outrageous

way of treating a large part of the population.

And the key is we have to help every single human being have the skills so they can contribute,

so they can be powerful, so they are change-makers.

That's the heart of it.

Selling Crochet - Lesson 3 - Who are you / Branding - Duration: 14:30.

Hello and welcome to Part 3 of

How to Sell Your Crochet for Profit. My name is Sedie

and in this lesson we're going to be talking about

who you are. By now we have talked

about the idea of selling crochet

and we've also talked about knowing who your market is.

Who are the people you want to sell to? So in this lesson

we're going to talk about you and who

you are. So let's get started.

So you've now determined that you are ready to sell your crochet.

You've gone out and you've done the work

in determining who your target audience

is. I know you have because that's what we talked about in the last lesson

and we had a few action steps to take at that time

and the action steps that I asked you to take were to

make lists of who you

believe your target audience

is. What they do, what they look like,

where they are. How they live basically.

Basically what we were trying to get is a prototype. A type of person

that you would be selling your items to

either the items that you've already made and determined that you're going to sell

or figuring out what you're going to sell

based on the people that you want to reach.

So today, so now, we're going to talk

about you. Who are you?

What is your motivation? What makes

you uniquely qualified to reach these people with what it is

that you want to sell? And why do you want to sell?

All these things are going at help you

flesh out who you are and who you are

and what your business is all about. So grab a pen and paper

and let's get started.

Okay, so when people get started selling their items

a lot of the time they think that the most important thing

is basically how they preset themselves. Which is very important

and that would fall under your brand. What do you look like?

What is your package like? And basically

you know what you're selling however

you need to delve a little bit deeper when you thinking about

selling and who you are and what that means

to your customer. So

instead of looking at everything

from your perspective as the

seller you now need to change perspective and start to

looking at yourself as the customer and start

to think 'What is it

I am looking for that I can

find in this seller? Why am I

going to buy from myself? That's the question. That's always the question. Why

would I buy from me? And

once you can start answering those questions you'll begin to get a really rounded

picture

now that you've put that together with who your

audience is you'll have a really good

idea in terms of what your business

should look like. For example, if you've decided that

your audience

a teenage audience, ok?

And you want to sell items that appeal to the teenagers

you need to know what they're thinking. So you've already done your homework in

terms of figuring out

what they're thinking, where they are, what they do and how they do it and that sort of thing.

What they're looking for.

Now you need to look at yourself

what you're offering and how you're offering it

and see if your actually appealing

to that audience. So when you talk

to your audience in you're copy

on your website or when you're simply

creating a description for the item that you want to sell

is it speaking to a teenage audience? Or is it

speaking to an older audience and going way over the heads

of the teenagers that you're trying to reach? What is your unique selling

proposition basically is what we're looking for. What makes

you uniquely qualified to

offer this item to that audience? Those are some of the question

that you need to answer in order to

truly get a clear picture of what you want to do.

So before we get to the end and I

give you some action because you know that I love action steps! I think you should

take action every day or every week whenever you're watching these videos

and get to it so you can put into action

the things that your learning and solidified them in your mind. But before we get to those

action steps I want you to think about a few things. First thing is

I'm going to give you an example of a company

that has an amazing unique selling proposition what makes them unique

in the marketplace in the nonprofit marketplace and

why people are drawn to them. Kiva.org

is a company

that I support and that a lot of people that I know support.

And here's the reason why; they're not just a company

where you make a donation and

your donation goes away you know your donation goes

to wherever it's going and you don't hear anything else about it.

They're a company that combined making

a donation with an investment

vehicle attached. So

when I make a donation of $500

or however much I make that donation goes

to where I ask them to make it. It then becomes a loan,

a micro loan, to the specific people

that I have chosen to help.

Now those people on a monthly basis will pay back

that loan depending on the terms, the terms

I don't worry about the terms so much some people may watch

it more than I do. I simply know that I've done my part in

giving them the loan and helping them to move forward in their

business or their lives or whatever it is

and they pay me back that money goes

into my Kiva account. The wonderful thing about

that is now I can now take that same amount of money

and give it someone else as a loan

and I think that that is unique to Kiva. That is something that

they started. Now I think that if there are any other companies that do that

I don't know of them and their fairly new Kiva has been doing this for

a few years

and they've really done a great job at

getting people involved and evolving.

their product offering. So why do I tell you this story about

Kiva? Because a unique

selling proposition is something that's going to make people go

'Huh, let me take a better look.'

What is your unique selling

proposition? This lesson

I would like for you to take a few

action steps and they are all informational they are for you

to research, to think about, to ponder upon

and to really delve into what it is

that you are offering to your audience. So

your action steps are: 1)

I want you to determine what is your unique

selling proposition. You are selling

crochet items. What type of items are you selling? Are you going to be selling

the same type of items that you've seen 10 or 20

other crocheters selling or are you going to give it a twist?

Are you going to do something a little bit different to

try to appeal to a little bit different audience? What is

that unique selling proposition?

2) I would like for you to

write down what you would like your audience

to feel and to see when they come

to your business. If you want them to feel

happy and excited. If you want them to feel ponderous.

If you want them to see your business as a fun business.

As something truly catering to baby.

Whatever it is I want you to write it down and I want

you to really think about it and visualize so that you get a

really good picture in your mind of what it is

you want them to see when they come to see

you. The next thing I want you to

write down

is the answer to why

should they buy from you? Now

I know a lot of people get stuck at this question because they start to think

'Well because I'm gonna give great customer service' or

because 'I'm going to be using better

quality products/yarn'

Problem with that is a lot of people are giving great customer service. Customers

service is something that people are very focused on

especially in a home based business. Number two;

if you're using better quality yarn

you are paying a premium I know what yarn

costs so you are paying a premium so therefore

are you now positioning yourself

in a place where your audience is going to understand

that what you're is of higher

quality products? Are you making it

look higher quality with your

branding with everything with everything that encompasses it?

When they come to your shop what do

they see? Do they see that quality? I want you to really

think about those things. I really want you to think about

why should they buy

from you? Out of everywhere that they could buy

a specific item why should they buy it from you?

And then finally I want you to think about

what's in it for them? Every customer comes

with the idea 'Well what's in it for me?'

and you're gonna say 'Well they get to buy this item

from me that is going to be unique

for them.' How are you....how are you

going to get that message across to them that it is unique

for them. That it is

special. That is going to make them

stand out and that's what's in it for them

the idea that is unique to them the idea that it is going to make them stand out

look better feel better than their peers

that is what's in it for them but how are you going to

get that message across to them. Everything

that you do

in your action steps you need to

really consider yourself, your motivation,

why you want to do this, who you want to reach,

and how that's going to make you feel. That's the most important thing.

Once you can truly reach yourself

then you will reach your audience and so

in reaching yourself an in reaching

your audience your business begins to flesh itself out.

I hope this lesson has been eye opening for you

and I want to encourage you to make sure that should make you work

answers as detailed as possible.

If you just write one word, two words, four word

answers that's not going to give you enough information

to truly flesh out what it is that you want to do

and how you want to reach you audience. So I encourage you

to really give it some thought. Really

think about what it is that you want to do. Why

you want to do it. Why do you want to have a business?

Is it because you want to have a few extra dollars at the end of the month?

Is it because you want to quit your full time job?

Why is it that you really want to the business? Why do you really want to sell your crochet for profit?

Think about it, flesh out those ideas,

because the next lesson we're going to be talking about your

inventory. So now that we've talked about your audience

and we've talked about you we're going to be talking about your

inventory and it's really important that you have first two pieces together before we

get to the third piece.

Thank you for watching

and we'll see you next time.
