The health benefits and uses of thyme leaves.

  1.

Thyme is a common herb used in cooking throughout the world for it's delicious flavour.

These leaves also have a great range of health benefits for the human body.

  2.

It has been used since ancient times for improving health and treating various bodily problems.

The ancient Egyptians used this for embalming, whilst the Greeks used this as an incense

in temples.

  3.

Even the Romans used thyme to add a wonderful flavour to Cheese and fight breathing problems

and lung diseases.

  4.

Nowadays thyme is used to make herbal teas.

This can be achieved by simply steeping the herb in hot water and then drinking to enjoy

it's benefits.

  5.

Thyme leaves contain a powerful compound called Thymol.

This destroys harmful bacteria and organisms.

Consuming thyme regularly helps to protect

your body against cold or flu viruses.

  6.

Thyme essential oil is made from the leaves and is one of the best natural remedies for

throat infections.

When suffering with a painful sore throat,

add thyme leaves as a flavouring to your healthy stews with bone broth.

This quickly heals the infection, and relieves pain.

  7.

Thyme leaves were also used by the Romans to prevent food poisoning.

Adding thyme to your meals destroys harmful bacteria which could cause food poisoning.

  8.

The wonderful flavour and aroma of thyme adds a unique taste to meals, and works well when

sprinkled over salads or added to meat dishes.

  9.

It has been shown in scientific studies to improve your mood and well-being by elevating

seratonin and dopamine levels in the brain.

These are considered "happy hormones" and keep you feeling great.

  10.

Thyme is also rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A. These improve the health of your immune

system and eyesight, amongst their many other benefits.

  11.

The leaves also contain healthy minerals including iron, copper, manganese, calcium, phosphorus,

potassium and zinc.

  12.

They also contain carvacolo, borneol, and gerniol which work with the thymol to destroy

fungi and bacteria.

  13.

Thyme oil can be applied to skin infections such as athlete's foot or ringworm as a fast

acting natural cure.

  14.

Studies have shown that thyme leaves can destroy the hospital "superbug" known as MRSA.

It helps to treat infections of strains that are resistant to antibiotics.

  15.

Thyme was also studied at Leeds Metropolitan University, and was shown to be more powerful

at destroying acne than prescription creams.

  16.

Thyme can be grown easily at home, or can be purchased in dried form.

We recommend adding this to sautéed vegetables, fish dishes and soups.

  17.

Studies have also shown that thyme can prevent colon cancer, and also be used to help fight

active breast cancer.

  18.

There are varieties of honey which you can purchase, where the bees have used thyme nectar

to make the honey.

This is delicious and provides some enormous health benefits.

  19.

You can chop thyme very finely and add this to a salad dressing.

Mix extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and finely chopped thyme to produce a rich, tasty

and healthy dressing.

  20.

Thyme oil can be inhaled by adding to a bowl of steam.

This eases bronchitis and whooping cough.

자문자답) 무엇이 당신을 화나게 만드나요? / What makes you angry? / English subtitles - Duration: 9:46.

Hello, everyone.

Um...

I was bitten by a dog.

This is a dog bite...

That's why I've got a band on me.

The reason I got bitten by a dog

This is my fault.

I drank beer with my friends yesterday.

There was a dog at the bar.

I was excited when I saw the puppy.

The puppy was so cute that I approached him.

I was so happy that I rubbed my face against the dog.

You are so cute~~~~

But the dog was clearly growling.

The dog was obviously angry.

But I didn't know it because I was drunk.

So the dog bit my cheek.

Luckily, the dog was small, so I wasn't seriously hurt.

It was really stupid... But I really like animals.

So

So I am very glad to see a puppy.

But if I was bitten by a big, fierce dog, my face would have been badly wounded.

I'm glad I wasn't seriously hurt.

Anyway, it's okay because it's not a big wound.

But there's a bruise here,

I go to work the next morning.

I looked like a woman with a sad story.

I looked like a woman who was attack.

So I put on the band.

What I'm trying to do today

I wanted to introduce my favorite poem to you.

But...

Now I look like a fool. I was bitten by a dog after drinking.....

It's not appropriate to read a poem now.

So I will introduce you to the poem later.

I'll read poems in a calmer, more serious mood.

So I was thinking about what to do today.

This is the book I bought at the bookstore last month.

This book is QnA book.

There are many questions in this book.

So

So I will answer the question in this book.

Today's video is a simple video.

Now let's get started.

I'm not alone. Let's answer that together.

Then let's do it together.

I'll get started.

How are you doing these days?

BAD

Because I was bitten by a dog.

And I am a little busy and confused these days.

I am lazy so I want to rest. But I don't have time.

I've been made one video a week.

It is appropriate for me.

But it is also a little busy. But I am living diligently to make a video.

I need to manage my time well.

What was your best trip?

My best trip is...

Japan Hokkaido I liked the trip best.

I've been to Tokyo, Osaka, and Hokkaido for a trip to Japan.

To be honest, there were too many Koreans in Osaka. than Japanese ...

Tokyo was very similar to Seoul.

But I could feel the atmosphere of Japan in Hokkaido.

so

The trip to Hokkaido is the most memorable.

What is your favorite movie?

Love Letter

The reason why I like the movie Love Letter

When I see the end of the love letter, I feel indescribable.

I am confused whether I am sad or happy.

I have mixed feelings.

Love letter is a movie that deals with emotions well.

Anyway, whenever I see a love letter,

I feel various emotions.

There is a very interesting question.

Do you love anything?

My face looks strange lol.

Music STOP

This is a difficult question for me.

I really..

I love the cat that lives with me.

When I first met my cat, when I brought it home,

My cat looks fierce.

So I honestly thought my cat was not cute.

But I loved living with her.

I started to love my cat so now I think she looks cute.

My friends say my cat looks fierce.

I am well aware of the fact. But

But my cat is really nice and cute.

I love my cat more than any other cat in the world.

What travel do you imagine?

There are so many trips that I imagine.

But my real travel was always different from my imagination.

Before sun rise.. Do you know before sun rise? movie.

Anyone who watches the movie will dream of romance in the train.

I thought after watching the movie.

This is really just a movie.

There was no romance in the train while I was traveling.

What are your beliefs?

If you live evil, you will be punished.

Someone who lives in evil will

Someday they' will definitely be punished.

So I will get punished.

So I have to live without doing anything wrong to others.

I want to live a life of honor.

But I'm sure I've done something wrong in my life.

I thought of my sin.

I have sinned against my parents.

I said many bad things to my parents.

I have said many things that make my parents sad.

What makes you angry?

What makes me angry?

a lot

In Korea, older people often treat young people with little or no respect.

And when you have to follow the opinion of older people,

But Not everyone old is like that.

I don't like that anyway.

When someone treat people like a dog just because they have a lot of money,

I don't like selfish people.

I hate people who think that only themselves are important and do not care for others.

I don't like people who treat animals recklessly.

I was bitten while hugging animals rudely.

The dog was good at biting me.

Anyway, there are many things I hate.

How do you overcome when you are sad?

When I am sad, when I face hard work,

I am relatively good at overcoming it.

When you watch my video I may always look happy.

But I also have hard times and I am sad.

The way I overcame it..

I often cry, but

But I know it's not something that can be solved by crying.

So I realize

So I'm looking for something I can do right now.

I am a very independent person.

I am not a dependent person.

I thought about the reason.

When I was young, my parents did not give me much attention.

My parents were always busy, so I have no memory.

So I did not have a chance to tell my parents about my worries.

I had to solve the problem myself.

So I tend to be good at anything by myself.

So I take care of my friends so they talk to me about their worries.

I am careful to give advice because I have not experienced the situation of a friend in person.

This is all I can say.

I can understand your sorrow, but your situation could change to action.

Crying sure makes you feel better. But don't leave me in the deep sad mood.

The only age that can be solved by crying is when I was in elementary school.

You can't solve anything by crying.

As soon as I got home today,

I have taken out this book and am filming a video.

I wasn't prepared anythong today.

So today I'm a little gibberish.

I want to come back to better video, music, and story next time.

I'm sorry that today's video is so dull.

And tomorrow is Sunday and I will have a perm.

Let's meet with a new hairstyle next time.

I hope you have a good night. See you next time.

Builderall Tutorial 14 - Mailingboss Autoresponder: Workflow Overview - Duration: 5:02.

hello and welcome to another tutorial in this video we're gonna be taking a look

at our new app workflow in our mailing vos autoresponder this app will allow us

to better understand and organize our campaigns and lists and actions that..

will be taken after a subscriber maybe clicks on the campaign or on the link

and stuff like that so pretty much automation and organization of

everything so let's go ahead and access this app so you're gonna click here in

workflow and this page will open for us so if we click over here and create new

this is what we will see so let's start by giving our workflow a name and over

here we can start so we can either start with a list an email campaign or an

email sequence so let's go ahead with list so we can drag and drop here and

then we click in the middle to choose our list

so either we create a new list or we choose one so let's go ahead and create

a list the description we can leave it as double opting that's not gonna really

matter right now so let's go ahead and create that list and done so once we've

chosen this list pretty much our workflow has started so once the client

subscribes to this list we can put here an action after that so once we click in

the green arrow we can either unsubscribe users from

another list we can insert a tag value in that subscriber we can put and send

an email campaign to him or an email sequence so let's go ahead and choose an

email campaign over here we can create a new one so let's just name it tutorial

regular campaign and let's tutorial so let's create that click OK over here

just a quick setup of our campaign let's just save an X all the way to the end

and over here once we're on the confirmation for our campaign we're just

gonna click activate later so there we go

now once the subscriber subscribes to this list they will receive this

campaign so as you guys can see this is pretty nice to organize everything in

automation and pretty much set up actions after a lead or a client does

something okay so this makes it simple for those maybe who have a hard time

using mailing boss or are new to this application so we can keep going okay so

let's say he does not open the campaign we can move him to another list we can

copy the user we can change field value we can also insert the tag value or send

another email campaign so let's say he does not open that campaign we can

insert a tag value and say didn't open for example so now we can actually make

a tag for him so let's say he did not open the campaign we can set that tag

over there and here it says please use only letters and numbers the tags must

be separated from each other by a comma so let's say we wanted to put more tags

we just put a comma here and then we created another one and let's say we

want this tag on him if he didn't open the the campaign and a week per se so if

the user goes by seven days and does not open that campaign this tag would be

integrated with his name okay so pretty much that's it so let's say the

subscriber actually does open a campaign we can send him another campaign for

example we can move him to another list and so on so let's say we want to move

him to another list we can put him in testing purposes list and over here we

can select the time that we will move him so let's say he clicks on the

campaign and we want to move him automatically and all we have to do is

leave the data 0 hours and minutes all at 0 okay

all we have to do now is click OK once you are done you can actually click Save

and then your workflow will appear right here as it did right now so pretty much

guys that is how you work with workflow it's just an application that will help

you get through and organize maybe your first actions and your first automations

with your subscribers so really nice application to look into I hope you guys

have enjoyed this video and I'll see you next time

you

Change the managed placements to French Change the Google Ads account language setting to French during setup Set language targeting options for the campaign containing the ads for the film Target specific YouTube localized domains Your client Kevin works for a retailer that sells eco–friendly products. He wants to attract an audience with an established interest in his message. What type of targeting would you recommend? Demographic targeting Gender targeting The "Green Living Enthusiasts" affinity audience Contextual product targeting Which ad format is recommended for getting more users for your app, as well as finding users who are likely to complete in-app actions? Cost–per–conversion Reach and frequency Clicks and impressions Conversion rate Someone browsing the Internet sees a Google Ads display ad for laptop computers on a Display Network site, but doesn't click on it. Two weeks later, she's interested in buying a laptop and decides to visit the site from the ad. She finds the site by doing a Google search, goes directly to it, and buys a laptop. In this scenario, view–through conversions would be valuable for the advertiser because it could: measure the number of potential clicks associated with ad impressions measure the number of conversions associated with ad impressions track the IP addresses of people who saw the ad track the number of people who saw the ad but didn't convert View–through conversions are available only to: advertisers that have implemented target CPA bidding advertisers that have implemented conversion tracking advertisers that have opted in to the Search Network advertisers that are running video ads Which targeting method allows an advertiser to reach people who have previously visited their website by showing them relevant ads when they visit other placements on the Display Network Topic Remarketing Placement Affinity audiences Why is it beneficial to include a text ad in the same ad group as an image ad when advertising on the Display Network? Image ads don't perform as well on the Display Network It ensures maximum coverage because some publishers don't accept all ad formats Text ads don't perform as well on the Display Network It ensures one of the ad formats will win the auction and show on a publisher site Which manual bidding strategy can you use to increase your reach? Cost–per–view (CPV) Cost–per–day (CPD) Target return on ad spend (ROAS) Viewable cost–per–thousand impressions (vCPM) How long should advertisers wait after creating a new Display campaign before analyzing its performance? 1-2 weeks 2–3 days 1 month 1 year You're seeking an ad format to support influencing consideration for your brand. You'd also like the ad to automatically adjusts its size, appearance, and format to fit available ad spaces and better fit content users came to see. Which ad format suits these needs? Responsive ads Standard image ads Lightbox ads TrueView ads Hich best practice is advisable when optimizing ad groups within a placement–targeted display campaign? Move automatic and managed placements into separate ad groups Create a separate ad group for each placement For each ad group, target groups of placements with similar themes Target a broad collection of placements with a single ad group A running shoe company wants to reach "avid marathon runners" instead of just "sports fans". Which targeting method should this advertiser use? Custom affinity audiences Affinity audiences Demographic targeting Managed Placements Which ad format is recommended for driving action? Lightbox ads Responsive ads Image ads TrueView ads An advertiser would benefit from using affinity audience targeting if they want to reach people: with a very specific interest, for example, avid marathon runners regardless of their particular interests with a particular broad interest, for example, sports fans who've already visited their website If one of your display ad groups isn't serving due to incorrect target and bid settings, what should you do? Set the targeting for the campaign to "Target all" and resubmit the ad Set the targeting for the ad group to "Target all" Set all targeting for the ad group to "Observations" and at least one targeting method to "Targeting" Set the targeting for the ad group to "Broad Reach" Targeting by topic is a good strategy if your client wants to: actively manage his budget because he has strict cost–per–acquisition goals drive sales on his website reach a specific audience control where his ads appear on the Display Network When should you use automated bidding? If you have had 10-50 conversions over 15 days in a single campaign If you have had 50-100 conversions over 30 days in a single campaign If you have had 5-10 conversions over 30 days in a single campaign If you have had 50-100 conversions over 15 days in a single campaign When planning a campaign, the first thing an advertiser thinks about should be: the advertiser's goals the advertiser's daily budget the tools available to build a display ad the tools available to optimize the campaign John launched a new line of men's shoes on his fashion website, and he wants to build awareness about the launch. Which targeting option should he use? Gmail ads Similar audiences Demographic targeting In-market audiences Your client Ali has a car dealership. She wants to reach people who are actively researching electric cars and ready to buy one. Which type of targeting would you recommend? Demographic targeting In–market audiences A broad affinity audience Dynamic remarketing Managed placements allow advertisers to: exclude a specific ad unit on a network page where there are multiple ad units bid differently for specific placements on the Display Network target relevant placements across the entire Display Network based on their keyword lists give Google the ability to select placements for them and set industry–appropriate bids An advertiser purchasing display advertising through other ad networks can still benefit from using Google Ads display ads because: she can infinitely loop animated image ads the ad can appear multiple times on a page to reinforce the advertiser's message the ad will show on all ad networks and will reinforce the advertiser's message she can fill in the gaps of niche and mass–marketed sites using Google Ads targeting options Your client wants to reach customers who are browsing content relevant to the company's keywords and highly likely to buy their products. You recommend using the Search Network with Display opt-in because the Display option: uses keywords to target web pages with relevant content and uses predictive models to determine which pages are most likely to result in conversions uses dynamic placement to target web pages and applies predictive conversion models to target ads optimizes affinity targeting to place ads on all relevant web pages optimizes keywords and applies affinity targeting conversion models to target ads Remarketing is targeting ads to people who've already visited: your website after they've searched on Google competitors' websites multiple times your website as they browse websites and use apps on the Display Network multiple websites on the Display Network If you're using remarketing to reach people who've used your mobile app, they see your ads: while browsing and using Google Maps when they enter search terms for products like yours on a mobile device while using other mobile apps on the same mobile or tablet device each time they re–use your mobile app Frequency capping limits the number of times: your ads appear during the designated days and hours that you set your ads appear to the same person on the Display Network your ads appear to the same person on the Search Network your ads appear to people with the same IP address If a display ad appears "above the fold," this means that it: will appear at the top of each page of the website takes up more than 20% of the webpage can be viewed in the upper portion of the page without scrolling will appear anywhere on the front page of the website In–market audience targeting consists of people: who are in your overall target demographic group who are interacting with contextually relevant content who are currently researching options and actively considering buying a product or service like yours whom you've reached through remarketing When reviewing her display campaign, Gina sees that her clickthrough rate is higher on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Which feature could help her be more efficient with her advertising during this time? Frequency capping P Exclusion Ad rotation Bid adjustments You are interested in understanding how clicks lead to a sale on your site. What do you call a click that leads to a sale on your site? Cost-per-click Impression Conversion Clickthrough rate On the Display Network, enhanced cost–per–click (ECPC) automatically: adjusts your manual bid up or down based on each click's likelihood to result in a conversion sets bids to help you get as many conversions as possible sets bids to maximize your conversion value while trying to reach an average return on ad spend sets bids to help you get the most clicks within your target spend amount Which targeting option allows you to re-engage with people who visited your site by serving them ads containing the products they viewed on their visit? Electric Wheel & High Heels - Duration: 3:57.

Hello guys! How do you feel about riding an electric wheel with high heels?

I made this video just for fun so don't take it too seriously!

Riding electric wheel with high heels isn't safe! Normally I ride with common sport shoes.

In this video I will show you five pairs of ladie's shoes.

In the game are shoes from 5 cm (1.95") to 12.5 cm (4.92 ").

Heel height 5 cm (1.97 inches).

Ride is comfortable. I have no problem with turns or the bumps on the road.

Riding with this shoes is almost the same like riding with my sport shoes.

Heel height 6 cm (2.36 inches).

With this shoes after a while, I feel quite confident.

Heel height 7.5 cm (2.95 inches)

OK! This is a challenge!

Ride isn't extra safe but If you have short trip you can handle it.

I think that more like 5 km

on straight road could be a problem.

Heel height 9.5 cm (3.75 inches).

It's more and more difficult. I think that I can ride only a few meters and

I will be glad that I will not fall on my face.

This is point where the fun ends.

Heel height 12.5 cm (4.92 inches).

Oh hell no! This is really dangerous.

Don't do that. The mounting on the wheel itself is a challenge.

You better get your shoes off and ride barefoot.

If you would like to ride your wheel with hight heels

you need to be careful.

Shooting this video was a big challenge and a lot of fun.

I hope that you enjoyed that.

See you next time.

Bye Bye!

Why You Don't Want Complex Forms On Your Site - Moko Media Minute - Sandi Gauder - Duration: 1:32.

Clients come to us and they want a form on their site for customers to fill in.

Or people, you know, sometimes on their contact page. They want, you know, name,

address, email, phone number, business address, business name, you know, the name

of your first dog, you know. They have all these fields on a form for

people to fill out just to say, "Hi, what's the cost of your widget?" And we say to

them, well and when we're building these forms we'll ask customers, "Okay,

what is it what fields do you absolutely need to have filled in, you know? If they

don't fill these in you just don't want them to submit the form." And usually it's

three fields. It's their name, email, phone number, you know, because they want to be

able to contact them. So then why do you have all these other fields? Are you gonna

fill out all those fields if you had to fill out a form? Probably not. So if

you're going to have a form on your site, we strongly encourage customers to just

pare it back to whatever those fields are that they absolutely need and

nothing else. And you're gonna get more people filling out the form than a

form that's got twenty fields in it and people just go, "Oh, that's too much work,

I'm not going to do it. Where's the link? I just want an email link." So make it

easy for your customers.

Hearing from God - Part 1 | Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:32.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE BY

THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OF A SUPERNATURAL LOOK AT WHAT

IT MEANS TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT,

MANY TIMES YOU'RE GONNA MISS WHAT GOD REALLY WANTS YOU

TO DO BECAUSE IN MANY WAYS, THE WAY THAT GOD SPEAKS TO US

AND DEALS WITH US IS A LOT MORE NORMAL THAN WHAT YOU

MIGHT THINK.

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: OKAY WELL, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT DIVINE GUIDANCE

AND IN PARTICULAR HOW TO HEAR FROM GOD.

FATHER, WE THANK YOU FOR THE WORD THIS AFTERNOON, AND I PRAY

THAT EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS TO COME OUT OF ME WILL, THAT PEOPLE

WILL UNDERSTAND IT, RETAIN IT, AND BE PREPARED TO GO HOME

AND DO IT.

IN JESUS'S NAME, AMEN.

ALL RIGHT, WHEN WE STOPPED THIS MORNING, WE WERE TALKING ABOUT

HOW TO FIND GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE AND THAT SEEMS TO BE

A BIG THING FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE.

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS THAT GOD WANTS ME TO DO?"

AND, YOU KNOW, I REMEMBER ONE GIRL THAT USED TO WORK FOR ME

AND SHE WAS IN HER 50S, VERY ATTRACTIVE WOMAN BUT SHE JUST

NEVER BEEN MARRIED AND NEVER EVEN REALLY DATED TO ANY DEGREE.

AND SHE SAID GOD TOLD HER, "I WANT YOU JUST TO SERVE ME

WITH GLADNESS, SERVE ME WITH GLADNESS."

AND SO, PERHAPS THERE ARE EVEN PEOPLE THAT GOD WANTS TO STATION

THROUGHOUT THE BODY OF CHRIST THAT JUST ARE ONE OF THOSE KIND

OF PEOPLE.

THEY'RE JUST THERE TO BE AN UPLIFTER AND AN ENCOURAGER

AND TO GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF BEING CONTENT.

YOU KNOW, GOD USES US IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND I HOPE THAT

YOU'RE PAST THE THINKING THAT IF YOU'RE NOT ON A PLATFORM

SOMEWHERE THEN YOU'RE NOT BEING USED BY GOD.

BECAUSE TO BE HONEST, MOST OF THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

AND IS DONE OUT IN THE WORLD IS DONE ONE ON ONE BY PEOPLE THAT

ARE OUT THERE ON THEIR JOBS, IN THE MARKETPLACE, IN THE STORE.

MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP ARE NOT COMING TO CHURCH.

I MEAN NOW, I'M SURE WE ALL NEED HELP IN HERE TODAY BUT MOST OF

THE PEOPLE THAT ARE A LOT MORE DESPERATE FOR HELP THAN YOU ARE

ARE OUT THERE.

THEY DIDN'T KNOW TO COME IN HERE TODAY.

SO, WE COME TOGETHER LIKE THIS TO LEARN AND GROW SO WE CAN THEN

GO OUT AND BE THE WITNESSES THAT CHRIST WANTS US TO BE TO CHANGE

THE WORLD.

EVERY SINGLE CHRISTIAN IS CALLED INTO MINISTRY.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ARE CALLED INTO MINISTRY.

WE ALL HAVE THE MINISTRY OF INTERCESSION.

IT'S OUR MINISTRY TO PRAY FOR OTHER PEOPLE AND WE ALL HAVE

THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION, THE BIBLE SAYS, WHICH IS BEING

THAT GO-BETWEEN THAT HELPS TO BRING RECONCILIATION BETWEEN

THE LOST AND GOD.

SO, YOU ALL HAVE A MINISTRY, FINDING OUT THE PARTICULAR WAY

THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO MANIFEST THAT MINISTRY MAY BE ONE THING,

MORE THAN LIKELY IT'S GONNA BE SEVERAL THINGS, BUT I STOP BY

SAYING THAT THE ONLY WAY YOU'RE GONNA EVER GONNA FIND OUT IS TO

STEP OUT AND FIND OUT.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY THINGS.

IT WON'T TAKE VERY LONG AND YOU'LL KNOW IF IT'S JUST

SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO OR IF IT'S THE THING THAT GOD WANTS

YOU TO DO.

YOU KNOW, PAUL WAS MINISTERING FOR QUITE A WHILE BEFORE GOD

SAID, "SEPARATE UNTO ME NOW PAUL AND BARNABAS FOR THE WORK TO

WHICH I HAVE CALLED THEM TO DO."

SO, THEY WERE MINISTERING FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE THAT HAPPENED

BUT THEN GOD SET THEM APART FOR A SPECIAL THING.

AND I THINK A LOT OF TIMES WE'RE SO INTENT ON BEING SET APART FOR

THAT SPECIAL THING THAT WE DON'T GET THE TRAINING THAT WE NEED

FOR THAT THING BY DOING ALL THESE OTHER THINGS THAT GOD

MAY WANT US TO DO.

YOU MIGHT SERVE IN THE HELPS MINISTRY.

YOU MIGHT, I DON'T KNOW, BE ASKED TO HELP CLEAN THE CHURCH.

IT MIGHT NOT BE SOMETHING THAT'S VERY ATTRACTIVE OR ANYTHING THAT

YOU FEEL IS WORTH VERY MUCH BUT A LOT OF TIMES IN OUR LIFE GOD

RUNS US THROUGH THE PACES, I GUESS I CAN SAY, TO CHECK OUR

ATTITUDE JUST TO SEE, "ARE YOU WILLING TO DO ANYTHING THAT I

ASK YOU TO DO OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE SOMETHING BIG IN ORDER

FOR YOU TO BE WILLING TO DO IT?" SO, DON'T--SAY IT AGAIN, DON'T

BE AFRAID TO STEP OUT AND FIND OUT AND JUST BECAUSE YOU STEP

OUT INTO SOMETHING AND IT'S NOT RIGHT FOR YOU, THAT DOESN'T MEAN

THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE IN STEPPING OUT INTO IT.

IT JUST MEANS THAT YOU'RE IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO FIND OUT

WHAT IT IS THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO.

I MENTIONED THAT A GREAT MAN OF GOD SAID THAT HE HAD NEVER, IN

ALL OF HIS WALK WITH GOD, AT ANY REALLY IMPORTANT JUNCTURE IN HIS

LIFE HAD GOD TELL HIM EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED HIM TO DO.

HE SAID, "GOD ALWAYS WORKED WITH ME, BUT HE MADE ME GET OUT THERE

AND TRY THINGS, AND PRAY ABOUT THINGS, AND DO THINGS."

SO, IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OF A SUPERNATURAL LOOK AT WHAT IT

MEANS TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT,

MANY TIMES YOU'RE GONNA MISS WHAT GOD REALLY WANTS YOU

TO DO BECAUSE IN MANY WAYS THE WAY THAT GOD SPEAKS TO US

AND DEALS WITH US IS A LOT MORE NORMAL THAN WHAT YOU

MIGHT THINK.

AND SO, WE'RE GONNA GO AHEAD FROM THAT POINT AND TALK ABOUT

SOME OTHER THINGS ABOUT HOW TO HEAR FROM GOD.

FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO SAY IF YOU WON'T LISTEN TO THE LITTLE

THINGS THAT GOD ASKS YOU TO DO, CHANCES ARE YOU'LL NEVER HEAR

HIM TELL YOU ANYTHING BIG.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

YOU PROBABLY HAVE HEARD SOME OF THESE STORIES SO I WON'T LABOR

WITH THEM TOO LONG BUT WHEN GOD STARTED CALLING ME INTO MINISTRY

BACK IN THE '70S, I ALREADY HAD THREE CHILDREN AND CERTAINLY WAS

NOT IN A PLACE WHERE I COULD GO TO BIBLE COLLEGE BUT EVEN THOUGH

YOU CAN'T GO SOMEWHERE TO GO TO SCHOOL TO BE TRAINED FOR

MINISTRY, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO TO THE SCHOOL OF THE HOLY GHOST.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK GOD TO BEGIN TO TRAIN YOU RIGHT

WHERE YOU'RE AT IN WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU DO.

WELL, I WAS A HOUSEWIFE AND PART OF THAT TIME I WAS STILL WORKING

A FULL-TIME JOB BUT AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME, BECAUSE

I WASN'T GETTING ANYTIME TO STUDY, I FELT LIKE GOD WANTED ME

TO QUIT MY JOB AND SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS I COULD STUDYING

THE BIBLE.

I HAD A DREAM IN MY HEART, BUT THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THAT IT

WAS EVER GONNA HAPPEN.

A LOT OF TIMES YOU MAY WANT TO DO SOMETHING BUT IF YOU DON'T

TAKE THE TIME TO--FOR THE PREPARATION THEN YOU'LL NEVER

BE RELEASED INTO WHAT IT IS THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO.

SO, IN ORDER FOR ME TO QUIT MY JOB, WE WERE GONNA HAVE TO TAKE

A BIG STEP OF FAITH BECAUSE OUR BILLS WERE $40 A MONTH MORE THAN

WHAT OUR INCOME WAS GONNA BE.

AND SO, BACK THEN WAS WHEN I LEARNED HOW TO TRUST GOD FOR

MONEY AND MOST OF THE THINGS THAT HE DID FOR US WERE

SEEMINGLY LITTLE SMALL THINGS BUT THEY REALLY HELPED ME BUILD

MY FAITH IN GOD.

I HAD A FEW FRIENDS AND, YOU KNOW, WE DID THINGS LIKE GO TO

THE FARMER'S MARKET ONCE A WEEK AND THINGS LIKE THAT, BUT I HAD

A GROCERY STORE THAT WAS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE

AND SO IT SEEMED LIKE I ENDED UP IN THE GROCERY STORE

TWO, THREE TIMES A WEEK.

AND AS UNIQUE AS THIS MIGHT SOUND, GOD TAUGHT ME SOME OF

THE MOST PROFOUND LESSONS THAT I'VE LEARNED THAT HAVE HELPED ME

ALL MY YEARS IN MINISTRY IN THAT GROCERY STORE.

AND REALLY, I'M TELLING YOU THIS BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO URGE YOU

TO WATCH FOR HOW GOD IS TRYING TO TEACH YOU IN THE ORDINARY

EVERYDAY AFFAIRS OF EVERYDAY LIFE.

YOU CAN LEARN SOME AMAZING LESSONS JUST AS YOU GO ABOUT

YOUR NORMAL EVERYDAY.

SO, ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT GOD BEGAN TO DEAL WITH ME ABOUT

WAS PUTTING MY GROCERY CART BACK IN THE SPACE THAT WAS MARKED OFF

FOR GROCERY CARTS.

AND, YOU KNOW, MOST PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT.

THEY WANT TO LEAVE IT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT TO

CHASE SOMEBODY'S ELSE'S CAR DOWN OR IT'S AMAZING HOW HARD WE WILL

WORK AT TRYING TO KICK THE WHEELS IN A CERTAIN

DIRECTION SO IT WON'T ROLL.

IT WOULD TAKE MUCH LESS TIME TO GO PUT IT BACK WHERE IT BELONGS

BUT INSTEAD OF DOING THAT, WE DO--SPEND ALL THIS TIME TRYING

TO GET IT NOT TO GO ANYWHERE AND THEN IT ENDS UP RUNNING INTO

SOMEBODY'S CAR ANYWAY.

AND IT'S SAD FOR ME TO SAY THIS BUT IT TOOK ME TWO YEARS TO GET

FULLY OBEDIENT.

SO, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT I WAS A LONG WAY AWAY FROM BEING

WORLDWIDE MINISTRY MATERIAL.

HOW MANY OF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING?

IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA OBEY GOD WHEN HE TELLS YOU TO DO

SOMETHING LIKE WALK WITH INTEGRITY OR TO DO SOMETHING

WITH EXCELLENCE, YOU KNOW, LIKE SOMETHING THAT WE ALL DO 'CAUSE

WE FEEL LIKE THAT GOD DEALS US WITH TO DO IT.

WE STAY IN A LOT OF HOTELS AND EVERY TIME WE LEAVE OUR HOTEL

ROOM, WE TURN ALL THE LIGHTS OUT AND BECAUSE THAT'S SOMETHING

THAT I JUST FELT LIKE GOD PUT ON MY HEART.

NOW, YOU KNOW, I CAN HAVE THE ATTITUDE WHAT DO I CARE?

I PAID FOR THE ROOM, THEY GOTTA PAY THE BILLS.

BUT SEE, HOWEVER YOU TREAT OTHER PEOPLE, YOU'RE SOWING A SEED

THAT'S GONNA COME BACK TO YOU AT SOME TIME IN YOUR LIFE.

SO, I WASN'T IN BIBLE SCHOOL BUT THOSE WERE LESSONS THAT GOD

WAS TEACHING ME.

HE WAS TEACHING ME HOW TO BE EXCELLENT.

HE WAS TEACHING ME HOW TO BE HONEST.

ANOTHER THING THAT HE TAUGHT ME IN THE GROCERY STORE WAS WE WERE

ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET, $70 EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR GROCERIES

AND SO I HAD TO GO WITH MY COUPONS AND MY CALCULATOR

AND MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING WENT OVER.

AND YOU HAVE A TENDENCY WHEN YOU GO TO THE GROCERY STORE,

ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE HUNGRY, YOU'LL PUT A LOT OF STUFF IN

YOUR CART THAT BY THE TIME YOU GET TO THE LAST AISLE, YOU

REALIZE YOU CAN'T PAY FOR ALL OF IT AND SO YOU HAVE TO PICK

THROUGH AND DECIDE WHAT YOU CAN KEEP AND WHAT YOU CAN'T.

AND I, LIKE MANY OTHER PEOPLE AT THAT TIME, I WOULD JUST TAKE OUT

WHAT I DIDN'T WANTS AND JUST PUT IT ANYWHERE, WHEREVER I WAS AT

IN THE STORE.

YOU KNOW, THAT'S WHY YOU FIND A HEAD OF LETTUCE IN WITH

THE CLEANING SUPPLIES IN A GROCERY STORE.

IT WAS PEOPLE LIKE I USED TO BE THAT DO THAT.

WELL, YOU KNOW, I DIDN'T WANT TO GO ALL THE WAY FROM THE MILK AND

EGG AISLE WHICH IS ALL THE WAY OVER HERE ON THE END ALL THE WAY

BACK OVER TO THE PRODUCE, YOU KNOW, TO PUT AWAY A HEAD OF

LETTUCE, WHY?

BECAUSE WE'RE LAZY AND I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO.

NOW, I DIDN'T CARE THAT SOMEBODY ELSE WAS GONNA HAVE TO CLEAN UP

MY MESS SO THAT WAS ANOTHER THING THAT GOD TAUGHT ME.

IT WAS LIKE, NOPE, TAKE IT BACK, PUT IT BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT.

YOU KNOW, GOD CAN BE--HE CAN ANNOY YOU.

HE KNOWS HOW TO ANNOY YOU.

PUT IT BACK, PUT IT BACK, PUT IT BACK, PUT IT BACK, PUT IT BACK.

AND YOU TRY TO WALK AWAY FROM IT AND IT'S JUST LIKE, JUST GO PUT

IT BACK.

AND ANOTHER THING THAT I LEARNED IN THE GROCERY STORE WAS TO READ

THE FINE PRINT ON THE COUPONS.

LIKE, I REMEMBER THAT THEY WOULD VERY OFTEN HAVE CHICKENS

ON SALE, THREE FOR A DOLLAR OR WHATEVER IT WAS.

IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO THAT YOU GET THREE CHICKENS FOR A DOLLAR.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: BUT AND THEN, YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU BECOME A

CHRISTIAN, A SERIOUS CHRISTIAN, YOU START NOTICING THE FINE

PRINT THAT YOU'VE MANAGED TO IGNORE.

AND I NEVER NOTICED THAT IT SAID, "LIMIT THREE PER

CUSTOMER."

WELL, I DIDN'T WANT THREE CHICKENS.

I WANTED TO FILL MY FREEZER FULL OF CHICKENS SO I WOULD TAKE MY

KIDS TO THE STORE WITH ME AND EACH ONE OF THEM WOULD GET

THREE CHICKENS IN THEIR CART, DAVE WOULD HAVE THREE,

THE KIDS WOULD ALL HAVE THREE, I'D HAVE THREE.

WE'D ALL HAVE OUR COUPONS AND THEN THE HOLY SPIRIT STARTED

CONVICTING ME.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, DO I HAVE TO GET CONVICTED ABOUT CHICKENS?

DON'T I HAVE THINGS MUCH MORE SERIOUS IN MY LIFE THAN

CHICKENS?

AND HE'D CALL ME BACK TO THAT FINE PRINT.

WELL, I KNEW THAT I HAD A PROBLEM WHEN I WAS IN LINE

ONE DAY GETTING READY TO PAY FOR MY CHICKENS AND I THOUGHT,

I DON'T THINK I GAVE MY DAUGHTER ENOUGH MONEY FOR TAX.

AND MY HEART WAS POUNDING IN FEAR THAT THE CLERK WAS

GONNA REALIZE THAT I WAS DOING SOMETHING THAT

I SHOULDN'T BE DOING.

AND SO, I BEGAN TO LEARN, YOU KNOW, IF YOU GOTTA FEEL LIKE YOU

GOTTA HIDE SOMETHING OR YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING

WRONG THEN THAT MEANS THAT YOU ARE.

WELL, TO BE HONEST, I'D BEEN A CHRISTIAN FOR A LONG TIME BUT

I DIDN'T KNOW STUFF LIKE THAT.

NOBODY WAS TEACHING ME THAT KIND OF STUFF AND I HAD SOMEBODY

RECENTLY ACTUALLY A WELL-KNOWN MINISTER, HE WAS AT A CONFERENCE

WHERE I WAS TEACHING SOME THINGS ON EXCELLENCE AND HE SAID,

"I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD THAT KIND OF STUFF."

NOW, HOW CAN WE BE GROWN ADULTS AND NOT KNOW WHAT EXCELLENCE

AND INTEGRITY IS?

YET MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD DON'T AND THAT'S WHY THE WORLD

IS IN THE MESS THAT IT'S IN.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND THEN ONE OTHER THING I'LL TELL YOU THAT I

REMEMBER GOD TEACHING ME WHEN I'D BE OUT IN A DEPARTMENT STORE

SHOPPING, YOU KNOW, HOW A LOT OF PEOPLE THEY'LL KNOCK

CLOTHES OFF THE HANGERS AND JUST LEAVE THEM LAY ON THE FLOOR.

AND GOD STARTED TELLING ME TO PICK THEM UP AND PUT THEM BACK

ON THE HANGERS.

AND I THOUGHT, WELL, WHY SHOULD I CLEAN SOMEBODY ELSE'S MESS UP?

THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

BUT THEN I FELT LIKE THE LORD SAID TO ME, "WELL, WOULD YOU

LIKE TO HAVE SOMEBODY CLEAN YOUR MESSES UP SOMEDAY?"

AND SO NOW GOD HAS PROVIDED AND HAS FOR YEARS AND YEARS ALL

THE HELP THAT I NEED IN ORDER TO DO WHAT I'M DOING.

LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU, OR WE, WHEN

WE DISOBEY GOD IN SOME OF THESE LITTLE THINGS, WE DON'T REALLY

REALIZE THAT WE'RE CREATING A PROBLEM FOR OURSELF THAT

WE'RE GONNA DEAL WITH LATER.

SO, WHEN GOD TELLS YOU SOMETHING LITTLE TO DO, KEEP IN MIND THAT

ANYTHING GOD SAYS, THERE'S NOTHING LITTLE ABOUT IT.

SO, IF GOD BOTHERS TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT, THEN THAT MEANS THAT

IT'S A BIG AND AN IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU NEED

TO JUST, IN OBEDIENCE, CHILD-LIKE OBEDIENCE, AMEN?

JUST LIKE A LITTLE KID IT MAY SEEM SILLY BUT CHILD-LIKE

OBEDIENCE.

I THINK NOTHING BONDS US TOGETHER WITH GOD IN CLOSE

FELLOWSHIP MORE THAN BEING A CHILD OF GOD WHO'S WILLING TO DO

SEEMINGLY FOOLISH LITTLE THINGS JUST BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE THAT'S

WHAT YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER WANTS YOU TO DO.

SO, I'LL JUST SAY AGAIN IF WE'RE NOT GONNA OBEY GOD IN LITTLE

THINGS THEN WE'RE PROBABLY GONNA MISS OUT ON A LOT OF BIG THINGS

THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO.

HOW ABOUT IF SOMEBODY GIVES YOU TOO MUCH CHANGE?

DO YOU TAKE IT BACK OR DO YOU JUST THINK, "OH MAN,

GOD'S BLESSING ME"?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: SEE, NOW ANYBODY, ANYBODY THAT KNOWS THE WORD OF

GOD KNOWS THAT THAT'S JUST SILLY.

YOU KNOW, MORE THAN ANYTHING IT'S A TEST TO SEE IF YOU'LL BE

HONEST, AMEN?

I BOUGHT A PAIR OF SHOES ONE DAY AND I'D BEEN LOOKING AT THE

PURSE THAT WENT WITH IT AND WAS GONNA GET THE PURSE AND THEN I

DECIDED NOT TO GET THE PURSE.

WHEN I GOT HOME, THE GUY HAD ACCIDENTALLY PUT THE PURSE IN

MY BAG.

WELL, YOU KNOW, IN A WAY IT'S A LITTLE BIT IRRITATING WHENEVER

SOMEBODY ELSE HAS MADE A MISTAKE THAT NOW YOU HAVE TO SPEND YOUR

TIME AND GAS MONEY TO GO CORRECT, BUT I KNEW THAT

I NEEDED TO DO IT.

THIS IS HOW WE HEAR FROM GOD.

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO?

YOU DON'T NEED A THREE-PART SERIES PREACHED TO YOU.

YOU KNOW DOWN DEEP INSIDE WHAT YOU NEED DO.

WELL, ONE OF THE MAIN WAYS THAT GOD SPEAKS TO US IS THROUGH

JUST KNOWING.

THERE'S NO NEED TO TRY TO EXPLAIN HOW YOU KNOW,

YOU JUST KNOW.

YOU JUST KNOW THAT YOU SHOULD OR YOU SHOULDN'T DO THAT THING.

THIS IS WHAT MAKES OUR RELATIONSHIP, OUR PERSONAL

RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, PRECIOUS AND EXCITING WHEN YOU WALK WITH

HIM IN YOUR EVERYDAY ORDINARY MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY,

THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY,

WEDNESDAY, WHEN YOU WALK WITH HIM IN YOUR ORDINARY EVERYDAY

LIFE AND YOU WANT WITH ALL YOUR HEART TO OBEY HIM AND TO BE

THE KIND OF PERSON THAT HE WANTS YOU TO BE.

DON'T HAVE YOUR MIND ON BEING IN SOME BIG MINISTRY.

IF YOU'RE CALLED TO BE IN SOME BIG FULL-TIME TRAVELING MINISTRY

OR TO BE ON A PLATFORM SOMEWHERE TO DO SOMETHING MAGNANIMOUS,

THAT'S WONDERFUL BUT I'LL TELL YOU YOU'LL NEVER GET AROUND TO

DOING THAT IF YOU DON'T DO THESE LITTLE THINGS THAT I'M TELLING

YOU TO DO.

THAT'S ALWAYS GONNA BE PART OF THE TRAINING BECAUSE, WHAT DOES

THE BIBLE SAY?

IT'S THE LITTLE FOXES THAT SPOIL THE VINE.

I'LL TELL YOU ANOTHER THING THAT CAUSES US A LOT OF PROBLEMS.

I WON'T HARP ON THIS BUT I THINK IT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT

KEEPS US FROM HEARING FROM GOD PROPERLY AND THAT'S HAVING

A NEGATIVE COMPLAINING ATTITUDE.

I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, I THINK IF ANY PERSON COULD JUST GET

THROUGH ONE WHOLE DAY WITHOUT UTTERING ONE COMPLAINT IT WOULD

BE AN OUTSTANDING MIRACLE FROM GOD, AMEN?

I'LL BET SOMETHING THAT GOD HAS SPOKEN TO ALL OF YOU, INCLUDING

ME, HUNDREDS OF TIMES IN YOUR LIFE, "YOU DON'T NEED

TO SAY THAT."

NOBODY, I'M THE ONLY ONE?

JUST, YOU KNOW, JUST GETTING READY TO SAY SOMETHING.

SOMETIMES I'LL NOTICE I'M GETTING READY TO SAY SOMETHING

AND THE ONLY POINT IS IT'S GONNA CALL ATTENTION TO ME.

YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WE WANT TO SAY SOMETHING CUTE, OR SMART, OR

FUNNY BUT IT'S JUST REALLY, IT'S TO DRAW ATTENTION TO OURSELVES.

WHEN YOU CAN START GETTING REALLY, REALLY HONEST WITH

YOURSELF AND REALLY CHECKING YOUR MOTIVE FOR WHY YOU DO

THINGS, YOU CAN START MATURING PRETTY FAST AND I KNOW THAT

I HAVE A LOT OF TIMES IN MY LIFE WHEN GOD WILL JUST SIMPLY SAY,

"YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY THAT."

NOW, I'D LIKE TO STAND HERE AND TELLING YOU THAT I'M ALWAYS

OBEDIENT AND ANYTIME HE TELLS ME NOT TO SAY IT, I DON'T BUT I'M

NOT THAT GOOD YET, THANK GOD I'M NOT WHERE I USED TO BE BUT I'M

NOT WHERE I NEED TO BE EITHER.

HOWEVER, I AM HAPPY THAT I'M STILL MAKING PROGRESS.

THIS IS ALL INTENDED TO HELP US BE MORE OBEDIENT.

YOU KNOW, THE BIBLE SAYS, "BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD."

AND SO, A LOT OF THAT KNOWING, IT'S A DIFFERENT KIND

OF KNOWING.

IT'S NOT A HEAD KNOWING, IT'S A HEART KNOWING.

ONE GREAT FEMALE MISSIONARY, I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE HER NAME.

I DIDN'T EVEN WRITE IT DOWN.

I DON'T KNOW THAT YOU WOULD, BUT SHE DID A LOT OF GREAT THINGS ON

THE MISSION FIELD AND WHEN SHE WAS ASKED HOW SHE KNEW WHAT TO

DO, I LOVED HER CHILD-LIKE ANSWER.

SHE SAID, "OH, I DON'T KNOW.

I JUST GET THESE ANOINTED NOTIONS."

AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS GOOD.

YOU KNOW, SHE JUST--GOD WILL SPEAK TO US SOMETIMES

THROUGH JUST GIVING US AN IDEA, BUT YOU CAN TELL

THERE'S SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT ABOUT IT.

IT'S NOT JUST LIKE A IN YOUR HEAD IDEA.

THERE'S SOMETHING IN IT THAT KIND OF FEELS SPECIAL ABOUT IT.

I WAS TALKING TO SOMEBODY OVER THE BREAK ABOUT HOW I DECIDE AND

KNOW WHAT I THINK I'M SUPPOSED TO TEACH OR PREACH IN ANY GIVEN

MEETING THAT I DO, AND I'VE DONE THIS A LONG TIME

AND A LOT OF IT.

I MEAN, I THINK I HAD ONE MONTH HERE RECENTLY WHERE I TAUGHT

13 DIFFERENT MESSAGES IN ONE MONTH.

WELL, HOW DO I KNOW WHAT'S RIGHT FOR EACH CROWD?

I GET OUT MESSAGES SOMETIMES THAT I'VE PREACHED IN YEARS'

PAST AND SOMETIMES I'M DOING IT JUST TO SEE IF THERE'S A SUBJECT

THAT SEEMS TO FIT.

YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU'RE WALKING WITH GOD AND DOING WHAT GOD

WANTS YOU TO, IT JUST FEELS RIGHT.

IT JUST FEELS COMFORTABLE.

YOU KNOW, NOBODY LIKES TO WEAR CLOTHES THAT ARE UNCOMFORTABLE.

WE LIKE TO BE COMFORTABLE AND I LIKE TO BE COMFORTABLE

IN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

AND SO, SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA TRY A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU COME

AROUND TO WHAT YOU'RE COMFORTABLE WITH.

SO, YOU CAN KNOW WHAT GOD IS WANTING YOU TO DO JUST BY,

"DO I FEEL RIGHT ABOUT THAT?" SO, I CAN HAVE PREACHED A SERIES

IN MESSAGES AT ONE POINT AND JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE

THE GREATEST MESSAGES, THE GREATEST THING.

NOW MAYBE FOUR OR FIVE YEARS LATER I CAN PICK THOSE UP

AND I THINK, YOU KNOW, I'M GONNA RE-PREACH THAT.

THAT WOULD REALLY BE GOOD.

AND I CAN START TO LOOK OVER THE NOTES AND IT JUST FALLS SO

FLAT INSIDE ME.

IT DOESN'T EVEN INTEREST ME SO WHY WOULD I THINK IT WOULD

INTEREST SOMEBODY ELSE?

BUT THEN I COULD PICK THAT SAME SET OF NOTES UP TWO MONTHS LATER

AND THEN IT WOULD JUST FEEL RIGHT.

SO, A LOT OF OUR HEARING FROM GOD, WELL, I WOULD SAY ALMOST

ALL OF OUR HEARING FROM GOD, IT'S NOT COMING FROM OUT HERE

SOMEWHERE.

IT'S COMING FROM INSIDE OF US.

JOYCE: WELL, YOU KNOW, I BELIEVE HEARING FROM GOD

IS MUCH LESS COMPLICATED THAN WE MIGHT IMAGINE.

SOMETIMES IF YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE HEARING FROM GOD

THE ONLY WAY YOU'RE REALLY GONNA FIND OUT IS TO STEP OUT.

I ALWAYS CALL IT STEP OUT AND FIND OUT.

I REMEMBER ONE GREAT MAN OF GOD, SOMEONE ASKED HIM HOW HE LEARNED

TO HEAR FROM GOD AND HE SAID, "BY MAKING A LOT OF MISTAKES."

AND THAT'S TRUE.

SOMETIMES YOU JUST, YOU'LL NEVER DO ANYTHING IF YOU'RE ALWAYS

AFRAID OF MAKING MISTAKES.

BUT I'VE WRITTEN A BOOK CALLED "HOW TO HEAR FROM GOD," AND I

THINK IT'S GOT A LOT OF GREAT INFORMATION IN IT THAT WILL BE

VERY HELPFUL TO YOU AND SO WE'RE OFFERING YOU THAT BOOK TODAY

AND ALSO FOUR AUDIO TEACHINGS.

NOW REMEMBER, GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AFRAID TO TRY THINGS, TO STEP OUT.

GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART AND HE'LL HELP YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

SO BE SURE YOU HAVE A GREAT, WONDERFUL DAY.

ANNOUNCER: GOD WANTS TO SPEAK TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US.

Top Tender Tip #008: Look at the marking criteria - Duration: 1:17.

Hi I'm Tim from bid and research and welcome to today's top tender tip so one

thing that you can do when you are answering a question in a tender is before

you start writing anything look at the marking criteria in most cases you are

given a marking criteria and it'll give you a clear explanation of what

excellent looks like it might say, answers the question fully and offers an

additional added value above the specification of the document that can

be a key thing to think about when you're answering you might even want to

there might be a section where you answer what they want and then you might want to put

a little box and underneath that says added value really make it clear that you've

given them what they want but you've also giving them an added value to make

it easier to score the maximum amount of points you should always be checking any

questions against the marking criteria but this is making sure that

you look at that before you even start answering the question and making sure

that it's one of the guiding principles in answering the question from the start

so that's today's top tender tip thanks for watching

Dota2 guides from MOREMMR: Carry. The aspects of the macro game. Domination - Duration: 0:40.

In Dota, our favorite game, every single team tries to gain an advantage on the lanes. After all, everybody wants to win.

Sometimes you're being pressured in a match, and sometimes your team is on par with the enemy one in terms of strength.

With luck, you succeed in laning and the game goes very well. But it doesn't mean that you've already won.

If it was so easy to win, then a match would last some 20 minutes at max. Besides, it would be devoid of excitement.

When being at an advantage, you still have the enemy raxes to take down, not to mention the throne.

The point is that it's going to be pretty difficult to pull off, unlike finishing a game where you're dominating.

The latter, in turn, might be tricky as well at times. Still, no one said it would be super easy.

Obviously, making a comeback is way harder than that, but securing victory when being at an advantage takes some skill as well.

This is exactly what we're going to be talking about in this video. We'll cover what a core should do in terms of macro game if he's had an auspicious early game.

Laning can be very challenging on every lane. The enemies will try to pick heroes who are capable of both farming and making kills happen.

You will end up assuming the role of a position 1 or position 2 hero depending on what's currently going on in the game, on your supports and also on the team composition.

And so you are a core, and you're doing just fine. The adversaries have lost at least 2 out of 3 lanes, and your team is at an advantage in terms of frags, gold and EXP. What else is there that one can possibly desire?

It's critical not to get too comfortable. Tilting works when winning as well. If a player on the losing side starts tilting, his performance becomes worse and sometimes he doesn't even feel like playing.

But even a player on the winning side can tilt. That is, because of dominating, he might think that he's already won, which will result in his being careless.

Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer, and in a situation of the kind, the player runs the risk of falling victim to his own hubris.

The higher you soar into the sky, the harder the fall. The greater the extent of your domination is, the harder it will be to face defeat.

You always have to be concentrated, otherwise you might not even notice that you're doing something wrong.

To err is human, and thus you just have to bear in mind that while the enemy throne is still standing, you've got to make the most of your hero.

Still, it's vital to understand that your team is winning, and you have to use it to your advantage. At the same time, it's critical to realize that you may lose this advantage at any moment.

As it was mentioned earlier, a position 1 and a position 2 heroes are not that different in terms of farming. But there could be various playstyles and in-game situations.

It won't be possible to equally distribute resources. In case you're on the winning side, but you don't feel confident about gathering up and taking down towers just yet,

then one of the cores has to focus on pushing the lanes and farming, while the other has to get down to making pick offs happen.

Everyone has to know what they should be doing at this or that point of the match. It's unacceptable for carries to either farm or fight. It's important to keep balance, otherwise defeat is imminent.

No matter how well you're doing in the match, you shouldn't forget that it's crucial to farm when playing a core hero. You basically have to outfarm the enemy cores.

The greater the advantage over your foes is, the harder you have to work to maintain it. In fact, you've got to farm aggressively literally everywhere.

Remember that when you have complete dominion over the opponents, the enemy jungle becomes your jungle. If you're not farming on the enemy territory, then you let your foes farm there.

Of course, it's something that you shouldn't be doing. You can't allow foes to farm when you're dominating.

Your team has to be the one to feast on neutrals and creeps, and the enemies will grovel for the leftovers. Being on the enemy territory, exercise caution.

If there are no teammates around, you might be in danger. It's possible to farm the allied jungle as well, but it's ill-advised to stay there for too long.

You constantly have to pressure and push the lanes. After all, it's important to gain gold. While the enemies are busy putting up a defense, they're vulnerable to attacks.

But if they abstain from doing anything, they will lose quite a bit of gold, and their towers will fall as well.

You can push the lanes and use Smoke to catch your opponents. This is a good old trick, and it's a classical move when dominating. You catch the enemies off guard right at the tower, and kill them one by one.

In fact, it's possible to make pick offs happen even without using Smoke. But in this case you've got to choose your target wisely.

The kill will enable you to take down the tower. Bear in mind that it's up to cores to push the lanes just because it will be fairly easy for them. Besides, they'll get some gold out of it.

If no one is pressuring the enemies on the lanes, they grow bolder by the minute. But don't act on the spur of the moment. It's important to think everything through before resorting to aggression.

Your supports have to place proper Wards on the enemy territory, and you have to make use of them. They'll help you keep an eye on the rotations of the adversaries.

Following your intuition works as well. Think on what you'd do if you were in your enemies' shoes.

Make sure that you avoid putting yourself in an unfavorable situation so that you won't end up finding yourself all alone out there, surrounded by the opponents. Pressure the enemies and don't get too comfortable.

Let's say that you've managed to get some artifacts super early. You've secured your key artifact way earlier than usual, and the enemy can only dream of getting something valuable at this point.

This is what an advantage looks like, and this is the very quintessence of domination. Given the situation, pressuring an opponent will be piece of cake, and you've got to make the best of it.

Group up with your allies and force the foes into fighting you. You might catch the enemies in your jungle, or you can just go and take down a tower.

The enemies are weak, and they will find themselves at a disadvantage no matter what you choose, for they will either lose their heroes or a tower.

Sometimes your allies might gather up on their own, and in this case you've got to join them by all means.

It's also possible to show up at the very last moment and secure some frags. After all, you're a core.

But not participating in a fight at all is a grave mistake even if you're dominating. The situation won't be any better if you decide to take down a tower or farm some stacks while your allies are fighting.

The thing is that the adversaries will get a lot of gold out of kills, if they have what it takes to secure them.

When dominating, you don't even need to win a fight or kill enemy heroes. You can just group up and take down a tower, and then another one.

In case the adversaries are not messing with you, try to last hit towers. By the way, a core who needs gold the most has to destroy a tower.

Here, we're talking about tier 1 structures, of course, but if you have a well-rounded team composition that is capable of setting up a decent push, then it's possible to raze even stronger towers to the ground.

The important thing here is to not let your opponents take counteractions and take down YOUR towers.

Bear in mind that when you're at an advantage over your opponents, trading towers is not favorable.

For this reason, if the enemy tower is about to fall, it's better to TP to your tower in order to protect it. Setting up a defense will allow you to farm.

Claiming Roshan is critical in every single match. Sooner or later you will have to take actions to kill this monster, especially when dominating.

Ideally, you should do it before going to the enemy high ground, and you've got to try to make quick work of the giant.

Aegis should be taken by the most farmed core hero, and he'll be provoking opponents into attacking him. Or he can just pressure the enemy towers and attract attention.

The most important part is getting to the high ground. Ideally, it should be done after taking down all the outer towers and killing Roshan.

It all depends on your push potential and what's going on in the game. It's vital to destroy structures, and not your enemies who are positioned behind them.

There are too many matches out there that have been lost because of foolish dives. Remember, your foes will respawn and structures will not.

Positioning yourself properly when damaging structures is super important. Don't forget that enemies can also buy back into the game.

Baiting your foes into buy backing is great, but giving your life to make that happen is not so great.

There can be in-game situations when opponents have too many AoE spells which enable them to defend the high ground, or allow them to fight very well in narrow spaces.

Here you've got 2 options. The bulk of your forces can pressure one side, and a single mobile carry with a solid damage output could start damaging the other side.

The latter can make quick work of the structures while the enemies are busy fighting. The other option would simply backing away.

Staying at the enemy high ground without damaging structures is clearly a waste of time.

If you stall the game while dominating, your opponents are likely to come back into the match. Making the entire enemy team rotate to the same place on the map is already good enough.

It could be quite a walk without TPs on them. When playing a core, YOU have to make a decision to retreat.

Stalling the match hurts you the most. After all, you're not farming, and you lose gold unlike your supports who push creep waves away.

It's crucial to know your limits. Playing it safe will enable you to win the game. The fewer deaths you've had, the better. When dominating in a match, the best case scenario is not to die at all.

An offlaner and supports have to take the blow if something goes wrong, but you should be untouchable.

Not only will you lose quite a bit of time and gold after being sent to the fountain, but you will also yield a lot of coins to the enemies, which will demoralize both you and your teammates.

The greater the extent of your domination is, the harder you'll fall should you make a misplay. What's worse, with every death of the kind, your team will gradually start losing faith in you.

Sometimes inexperienced cores dive way too far and their allies follow them into the fray, but to no avail.

A common case scenario, isn't it? Indeed, the meta is pretty aggressive nowadays, but it doesn't mean that one has to be reckless when it comes to attacking enemies.

This Is the Engineering You'd Need to Cross the Pacific Ocean | The Swim - Duration: 5:14.

HOW DO YOU EVEN BEGIN TO ENGINEER A VOYAGE AT SEA THAT COULD LAST FOR 7 MONTHS OR MORE?

THE CREW ABOARD SEEKER NEEDED FUEL, SPECIALIZED BATTERY STORAGE,

ALONG WITH ENOUGH FOOD AND FRESH WATER

FOR NINE PEOPLE AND ONE LONG-DISTANCE SWIMMER.

THE CREW WORKED WITH CHIEF ENGINEER RASMUS GORDON, WHO TOOK CHARGE OF EVERYTHING FROM

GENERATING WATER AND POWER, TO FUELING THE SHIP.

Ras: When the ship was originally built, it was built as a racing yacht, but that also

means they don't go to sea for more than a month at a time.

So we have extra fuel bladders added to the ship to double the fuel capacity.

We're still depending on not having to use the main engine a lot because that takes up

five times the amount of fuel as the generator.

BUT WHEN STRONG WINDS AND CURRENTS PUSH THE BOAT OFF-COURSE, SOMETIMES THE CREW HAS NO

CHOICE BUT TO RELY ON THE MAIN ENGINE TO GET BACK ON BEN'S LAST GPS COORDINATES.

FOR ELECTRICITY ON THE BOAT, RASMUS RIGGED A DUAL POWER SYSTEM.

THE MAIN BATTERY BANK, POWERED BY SOLAR PANELS AND WIND GENERATORS, IS USED FOR

LIGHTING AND NON-ESSENTIAL ITEMS.

A SMALLER BANK SUPPORTS THE NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT— A SAFETY PRECAUTION

IN CASE THE MAIN BANK SHOULD EVER FAIL.

THESE BANKS ARE COMPOSED OF "AGM" BATTERIES, WHERE THE ELECTROLYTE, THE CONDUCTIVE

MIXTURE OF WATER AND SULPHURIC ACID INSIDE, IS ABSORBED IN GLASS FIBER.

THIS MEANS THESE BATTERIES ARE RESISTANT TO CORROSION, SPILL PROOF, AND DON'T REQUIRE

VENTILATION—SO THEY ARE PERFECT FOR THE ROUGH CONDITIONS ON SEEKER.

ANOTHER MAJOR ENGINEERING CHALLENGE OF A LONG-TERM SEA VOYAGE

IS THE ABILITY TO MAKE FRESH WATER.

Ras: We have two water makers so we always have one backup if the other one fails, and

we have a lot of spares for the water makers, because that is our most important equipment.

WHILE THE BOAT IS MOVING, THE WATER MAKERS RUN SEA WATER THROUGH TWO FILTERS, REMOVING

ANY DEBRIS AND MICROPLASTICS.

THE LIQUID THEN RUNS PARALLEL TO A REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE,

CREATING FRESHWATER, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL

FOR MORE THAN JUST DRINKING.

Ras: The thing that really determines how long we can be at sea is our fuel and food capacity.

The fresh water is important because we need it for the cooking,

a lot of the cooking is gonna be freeze-dried food.

When Ben finishes swimming he needs to have a fresh water shower to rinse all the salt off his body

to prevent any damages to his skin.

PLANNING FOR THE FOOD ON BOARD WAS A WHOLE OTHER STORY.

Ty: We bought a lot of this fresh food stuff

but it gets really hot down below and together with the

dampness and the heat is not good for preserving the fresh food.

Maks: Whoa whoa whoa!!

What is that?

Ty: I don't know, honestly I don't know but it's coming out of these potatoes

Ty: We can all agree a potato doesn't usually look like that when you eat it

Maria: Yeah, of course.

Ty: But we're going to eat it.

We waste nothing.

THOUGH THE CREW WERE ABLE TO HAVE FRESH VEGETABLES FOR THE FIRST MONTH AT SEA,

THE BULK OF THEIR MEAL PLAN CENTERS ON USING CANNED AND

FREEZE-DRIED FOODS — COMBINED WITH BASES, LIKE

PASTA AND RICE.

AND IF THE CREW IS LUCKY, THEY ALSO MIGHT HAVE THE OPTION OF FRESH FISH.

Paul: Zero fish in 47 days, and 3 fish in 15 minutes.

Maks: We measure and weigh the fish, for one of the research protocols we're doing, and

then we cut open the stomach, see if there's any plastic inside the stomach.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE CREW DID HAVE TO REMOVE PLASTIC FROM THIS FISH.

IT'S A PRIME EXAMPLE THAT UNDERSCORES JUST HOW IMPORTANT RAISING AWARENESS FOR OCEAN

HEALTH IS, AND THAT ALL THIS CAREFUL PLANNING IS WORTH IT.

Maks: People always think 'oh man you're going to be spending 7 months on a sailing boat?'

'That must be ****ing boring.'

Well it it sometimes repetitive, but there's so much to do so it's never boring.

I haven't been bored so far.

AND WITH GOOD REASON — BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THE CREW CAN FEEL AS PREPARED AS POSSIBLE, THERE

ARE CERTAINLY UNPREDICTABLE CHALLENGES AHEAD.

Maks: "The other night a storm caught us by surprise, some of us got a little bit seasick."

Ben: "I want the motion to just stop."

"Ben there's a shark!" Ty: "Right there!

F me, see it?"

Paul: "So much drama!"

TH pronunciation made EASY + FREE PRACTICE ACTIVITY at the end of the video :) - Duration: 9:18.

My father... My brother's... these

There are teeth in that...

Hello everybody. Welcome

back to English English. Today we are talking about 'th' pronunciation,

specifically the voiceless sound and also the voiced sound for th pronunciation.

So this can be difficult for many people around the world because th

pronunciation, that voiceless and the voiced sound, are not in every language.

But, they are in the English language. So when we're trying to make the th sound,

whether it's voiceless or voiced, very important, we must remember to always use

our tongue. We must use our tongue. Why? Why must we use our tongue? ABecause our tongue

helps us to make the correct sound so that we can pronounce these words

correctly. So first off we're going to talk a little bit about voiceless th

pronunciation or more specifically the [voiceless] sound.

So this sound we use for many different words in the English language including

nouns, adjectives, adverbs, you know, many different things, okay? So it's a very

important sound that you need to practice if you want to be able to speak

English. Remember. Try to remember this because it's very very difficult, okay? We will

practice together. So to make, first of all, the th sound, which if you did not

know, is this symbol, we must use our tongue, as we said before, but very

important for this specific sound is we must also blow. Blowing or to blow the

verb is when you push air out of your mouth like this.

So why must we do this?

Because to make the sound we need to make th we need to blow, so we need to

use the tongue and blow at the same time. So you should feel the air in your mouth

push over your tongue and through your teeth... just here. So if you hold out your hand... just like that.

So what examples of words do we have for our voiceless th

pronunciation. We have many different words for example we have theatre,

Thursday, thank you, think, and most importantly, teeth, or

tooth. As you probably saw with my pronunciation, my tongue came out every

time there was a th sound, okay? So for example if I said Thursday you'll see

that my tongue only comes out when I pronounce the th sound. Thursday. [It] comes

out *th sound* comes back in, 'ursday'. Okay, so again, Thursday, theatre - even at

the end of the word we wait, 'too', and then at the end *th sound*. If you don't know how far

your tongue should be out of your mouth whilst you're blowing because you don't

want to stick it out like this, 'tooth', because people will think maybe you are crazy.

You also don't want to keep it inside your mouth, 'tooth', because it sounds strange. 'Tooth',

'Thursday', 'Thank you', okay? Don't do that. So to know how long

your tongue should be, how far it should be out of your mouth, we just use our finger, like

this. Put your finger over your mouth like you're saying 'shhh, be quiet', then you can stick your

tongue out and touch your finger just here. 'Thursday', 'thank you',

'Thursday', 'thank you'. You see, my tongue was out touching my

finger and that was a perfect distance for me to be able to make that sound

whilst blowing. Don't forget to blow.

Number two. We are gonna talk about the voiced sound or *voiced th sound*.

So, very important, the reason they're called voiced and voiceless is to do

with vibration. So what does vibration mean? Vibration is a kind of shaking

motion when something moves ever so slightly, okay, normally quite fast. As an

example, in English pronunciation when we say a voiced sound like this *voiced th* sound, if

you take your hand and you put it on your throat, just here, and you say *voiced th sound*

you can feel your throat shaking. We call that vibration. So there are many

different words that we have, again, for the voiced th pronunciation. I'm gonna

give you some examples now and I want you to try and practice with me.

So before we start with these examples, very important, we do not blow for this

sound. We do not blow at all, okay? That is only for the voiceless sound.

The voiced th sound looks like this.

So, I'm gonna give you some examples of a few words

We have 'that'

'them', 'those', 'these', 'clothes', 'clothes', that one is very difficult, 'clothes',

'mother', 'father', 'brother', 'bathe'.

So, you can see kind of the difference between the

voiceless and the voiced sound. Again, the voiceless, 'theater', voiced 'then', 'theater',

'then', you can hear the difference in sound but they are both th words. So now

we're gonna do a few tongue twisters, okay? A tongue twister is a very

difficult sentence to say/to pronounce, which we use to practice

speaking in languages or maybe just for fun.

So I've made a couple of tongue twisters just for you today, to practice that th

pronunciation, so we'll practice it together. I want you, for this exercise, to

close your eyes and listen to what I'm saying because it's good to practice

your speaking skills but you must also practice your listening skills, so don't

look at the subtitles. Try and hear what I'm saying.

Number one:

those boys over there are 13 next Thursday.

Those boys over there are 13 next Thursday.

Number 2:

there are teeth in that old bath behind the theatre. There are teeth in that old

bath behind the theatre.

Number three:

My father's clothes are the same as my brother's clothes

My father's clothes are the same as my brother's clothes .

As you can see with all of these tongue twisters my tongue is going

and they're normally very difficult to say.

Okay thank you very much watching this video guys.

I really hope this helps you with your th pronunciation this can

be very difficult so if it is difficult for you just keep practising. Practice

with those tongue twisters, you can find many different ones on very good YouTube

pages, on the internet, on google, everywhere. So you need to practice a lot

and you need to practice by speaking and by listening.
